We had the share starter and fish stew and a lovely bottle of Chianti which was blooming marvellous

Spur of the moment booking, they had space. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing. Excellent wine list. The christmas menu is exceptional. Perfect evening very reasonably priced. Happy to recommend 👌 does get a little noisy when busy.

we went there for my mates birthday there was 10 of us we were well looked after the food was amazing and they cater for people who are celiac will definitely be going back in the near future 😀 😉

This restaurant has become the go-to place for my wife and me when we want to treat ourselves. Today (20 Sept) we enjoyed lunch. I had Pollo al Funghi e Crema and my wife had Anatra Scottate, we followed that with a lemon Sorbet. My wife enjoyed a glass of Merlot and I, as I was driving, had a tonic water followed by tea (for her) and double expresso (for me). Our meals were beautifully cooked and presented. The service from our waitress Michela was given with grace and charm. She was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our fellow diners included a family group, with well behaved children, couples and small groups. There was an authentic Italian atmosphere to go with the authentic Italian meal. Lunch was a thoroughly pleasurable experience at a very reasonable price. I recommend this restaurant without reservation.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! especially if you have any questions about allergens/ingredients in food and enjoy eating seafood that isn't undercooked. The manager of this restaurant is one of the rudest most ignorant I have ever come across!! He was rude and patronising when asked about allergens and when I was served GREY undercooked prawns and showed him, instead of apologising like a normal person and sending them back immediately, he stood there with a look of disgust at me, a heavily pregnant woman, and tried to tell me and our entire table who agreed they were raw, that cooked prawns are supposed to be grey!!!!!! The place should be shut down!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING

My wife and I visit Venice three times a year and between visits we like to dine out and have an authentic Italian experience. Nowhere could be better than Alfresco Cucina Italiana for this. Wonderful pictures of Venice grace the walls so the ambience and atmosphere are right for us from the start. We have eaten here several times and the food is always if the highest quality and it is presented beautifully. Service is friendly and efficient without appearing rushed. Prices are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and this restaurant is excellent value for money. We visited for dinner last week and plan to go again thus week.

Great food, served quick with a warm reception! Parking is a bit tight but spaces behind the restaurant as well. Mocktails particularly good with a spaghetti carbonara as a main!

There is no table cloth. No serviettes. No smile (that appeared sincere). It was extremely expensive for very average food. I ate steak, so I have no idea about the pasta....

Second trip here (14th aug). Certified family favourite and always a great italian experience. After many visits to italy this is our favourite, and closest to authentic italian food we have found in the local area. All servers were lovely (2 gents and a lady), some of the best service we have received, came back to make sure my brother was happy with his choices and offered to alter the dish to taste. Classy touch. Lots of parking but can fill up when restaurant is busy. Food is very tasty, Diavola pizza arguably better than the ones I had in Verona and Venice last summer. Drinks also very fairly priced in comparison to other local restaurants. Pricing of food also very competitive and affordable. Top job guys, keep up the good work. Should be proud of what you are achieving.

Nice welcome, comfy seating, on-site parking, good vibe, excellent service - not to mention very good food. We visited on a Friday lunchtime which was quiet. Sat in the light and airy conservatory - lots of natural light. The pate and home-made bread was outstanding. My partner loved his pasta dish all’arabbiatta. Really delicious pink sparkling wine too. Can highly recommend. Idea venue for couples, friends or family gatherings. We’ll be back time and time again and bring foodie friends.

The place was amazing. Clean tables, atmosphere was great, parking was easy, the service was really good, the staff were friendly and the food I had was amazing.

I love this place, I’ve been quite a few times now, their pate is beautiful and the best lasagna I’ve ever had, size portions are massive, Eddy the waiter is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for him, and he knows me now so he remembers what I like

I love this restaurant. The food is excellent, as is the service and atmosphere. My starter was a selection of cold meats plus tasty cheese and vegetables. The platter was absolutely full; a wonderful selection, which I devoured with much pleasure!

We have driven past so many times and been meaning to go for ages . Finally got round to booking and we were not disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday early evening. The service was excellent as were the drinks and food. Friendly atmosphere and there were all ages and people dining alone , couples , groups and families . Couldn’t fault anything we will definitely be back .

We celebrated a family birthday, party of 8 adults, evening was excellent, food, service and atmosphere were all terrific. If you like Italian food, it’s definitely worth visiting this diamond of a restaurant.

So glad we chose this venue for a birthday meal. There was a nice friendly welcome and the waiter was good humoured and efficient. All four meals were excellent and well priced. We'll certainly be visiting again. Thank you to the team at Alfresco Cleeve.

Last minute decision to have a family meal and couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant. Staff & food were both excellent.

Perfect! Amazing genuine Italian at a reasonable price ( not overpriced like everywhere else), and the service level was just right. We paid 65 for a kids meal with main, drink and desert plus 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 alcoholic drinks.

This absolutely outstanding experience started right from phone call to make sure they have free table on very busy day, which they had after some rearrangements. When walked in welcomed really warmly. Place, atmosphere, decor everything is sinced very well. All stuff making amazing team they all work together speeding every task. Nothing is too much for them amazing people. Finally we get to FOOD and well what can i say...?!?! YOU MUST try for your self!!!! Food is fresh full of flavour very well presented served in great time despite being very busy. Portions are generous as well. Priced very good too. This whole awesomeness carries all the way till you leave premises where stuff makes extra effort and wave you good bye with honest smile. Can not recommend this place enough it ticks all the boxes 100%

I am ashamed it has taken me this long to write a review for Al Fresco. We have been dining here now consistently for over 2yrs. Once every 2months I would say. And it has been magnificent every time. Eddie and his team consistently serve up fabulous meals, for our whole extended family with different tastes and culinary needs. The menu has been revamped a number of times since we have started going and it is getting better and better with each new edition. The children adore the pizzas, the grandparents (fish lovers) adore the Fish stew for two .... I graze across the whole menu, from steak (amazing!) to fish to duck, to Italian classics (lasagna etc) and everything in between. Every dish has been wonderful. Al Fresco is our "go to" restaurant when we have visiting friends and we want to bring there somewhere special to celebrate their visit. It is high quality, reasonably priced, amazingly consistent and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Keep up the great work Eddie and Team, and we will see you again in just a few short weeks! Lovely food bit expensive but would go back again needs to sort out parking car park to small had to walk from opposite the garage and got soaked walking to restaurant

Despite the food being very good sadly our experience was tainted by the slow and lack of attentive service. We were not greeted at the door and had to find someone to show us to our table (which was set for 4, despite being booked for 2). Honestly I could go on and on at how disappointed I was as I’d heard good things, read good reviews and was very much looking forward to it. We waited for far too long between menus being dropped off and orders being taken, and between orders being placed and food arriving. A couple next to us had the same experience they would be sat waiting to place their order and we placed our order after their menus arrived, had eaten our course and they hadn’t yet ordered!! We also had to ask to order each time we wanted drinks despite waiters passing and seeing empty glasses. To summarise, the food was amazing. The service was terrible. There was one waiter who was mildly helpful, however the 2 others were bordering on rude with no thanks or good byes. We won’t be coming back.

We’ve just had a beautiful evening meal here at Alfresco . Service was great and professional . Authentic tasting with no need to add any more seasoning . Presented perfectly not too fussy or over the top either . Perfect for couples , families , large groups . Accessible too for wheel chairs and pushchairs . High chairs available . Would recommend a visit here for Italian food for sure . Thank you to the chefs and Arpi who served us with a smile . Would we go again 100% we would .

Visiting the local area for work. Found this amazing restaurant via google maps. For a Monday night it was very busy but service was fantastic Best Italian food we have had in a while. Both had pasta dishes which were so tasty. We didn’t have a starter so we could have a pudding - which was a good choice. Tiramisu was perfect. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Perfect for fine dining. If you have a big appetite be aware that portion sizes tend to be very small.

What a total disappointment from start to finish. We had seen the reviews for this place and were really looking forward to good food, a great atmosphere and top notch service and we were let down on all counts. On arrival we stood in a queue behind people who were just turning up with no booking who were seated immediately, we had booked but when we said this we weren't asked what name the booking was in and we spent almost ten minutes standing there while they tried to find a table. Once seated it was another 15 minutes until our drinks order was taken, we had a bottle of the Pinot Grigio Rose, the only nice thing about the whole experience! Another age passed before our food order was taken and the waiter had to come back twice, once to tell us there was only one fillet steak left and then to tell us there were none. We plumped for sirloin instead with sides of meditteranean veg and portabello mushrooms. Starters were the tiger prawns and the caprese. The starter was ok, you can't go wrong with a bit of mozarella and some tomatoes and the prawns were tasty if a bit tepid and oversauced. Our main eventually arrived, a small piece of steak and 12 chips in a cup (for 20 odd quid!) but our sides were nowhere to be seen. A table of four sets of leggings and crop tops had arrived as we had our starters and their entire meal was on the table while we still waited for our sides. When we eventually got the attention of someone we were told they would be out in a minute. Ten minutes later they arrived, swimming in garlic and oil and cold. To be fair they waved the cost of the sides but that really wasn't the point. We asked for the bill feeling quite deflated and this arrived but the waiter disappeared and we eventually made our own way to the front to pay so we could leave. The bill came to £93.50 and to be honest £9.35 would have been too much. It was the first time in as long as I can remember that I haven't left a tip in a restaurant. Needless to say we won't be back and if you want a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere with great service I would urge you not to come here. I can only surmise that those who rave about this place really don't get out much.

Lunch for my mums 85 birthday - family of 5 started with sharing platter absolutely delicious, main was a cannelloni, two palma ham pizzas, chicken and mushroom and a calzone and a side of green salad all so tasty and piping hot - service as always was fantastic- can highly recommend Alfresco

Brilliant food! My family have been here quite a few times and we're always impressed. The staff are friendly and attentive and were able to make changes to dishes to accomodate vegan and dairy free diets. As a table, we tried the seafood, steak, pasta, pizza, and flatbreads. Everything was delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere is that the music was a little loud, but we could still talk over it so it wasn't too bad.

Stunning food, came piping hot. Drinks were on point, staff could not be better. The right amount of attention but not over baring. Could not say anything bad and definitely will be our go to Italian.

This is a great Italian. The portions are very large so make sure to pave yourself!! The staff were attentive and able to give recommendations which was great. The only downside is the parking, there is only a small carpark and the road out the back where everyone has to park is very tight.

This is a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere but I have had two experiences now of terrible service. Went last night on a busy Saturday evening. Arrived at 7.15pm. We never had a single waiter or waitress come to speak to us without us having to try and grab their attention. We had to ask 3x for someone to take our order, finally ordering after being at the restaurant for over an hour. I have no idea when our order would have been taken if we were not asking and reminding?! It's such a shame as the food is great. I live locally and my children would love coming here but we don't go very often now as it's such a long time to wait for service and food.

A pleasant evening meal. Decent wine selection and lovely antipasto. Very popular on Saturday so staff a mite stretched but very civil. A good local choice.

Great place for food. Everything cooked well and easy to change or leave things out of dishes if required. Service excellent and plenty of time given between courses. Staff very friendly and made the evening very enjoyable. Car park fairly small but easy to park on the road to the back of the restaurant. Have been here before and would certainly go back again

Excellent food and generous portions.... Not the cheapest but ultimately you get what you pay for. The chicken liver parfait is exquisite!

Lunch with friends. Food was delicious. Could not fault anything. The seafood stew was amazing.

Nice atmosphere, pizzas were good as were the pasta dishes. Unfortunately our calamari was incredibly dry and tough, so had to send it back. Wasn't really offered much in compensation or apologies apart from taking it back and only knocking off the bill after I had to ask which is a little embarrassing to do to be honest. Otherwise it's a nice place in general.

The food was absolutely lovely, I had the meatballs which were amazing! But even more outstanding were the staff, who went above and beyond to accommodate for our large party including young children and were all so enthusiastic.

Very busy, had to ask to place our order after waiting half an hour and then get a waiters attention to order another drink. Not very attentive. Food was nice but pricey.

I've worked out, finally, how to know a good Italian restaurant from the menu. It's simple, if the affogato is half the price of the desserts your in an honest place. And honest family run Italian restaurants are always a treasure. Of course it was, and is.

We went for a walk around Yatton which should have got us back to take our pick of places to eat. Unfortunately we got a bit lost. I had done a bit of research as to which places would be latest taking orders, not just...
