Meh- was so excited to eat Indian in London and this was a disappointment. The chutneys were all sweet with no spice or kick to them. The mains were the same - fair but bland. No garlic on the garlic naan. No mustard seed, cumin seed or any flavor anywhere. We fell for a tourist trap.

I was extremely disappointed with the service it was as if it was the waiters first dance, failed to take the correct order and then try to blame you for not ordering correctly, the time it took the food to arrive at our table was ridiculous and the starter come after the main and the bill we could not make heads or tails of it was just scribbles so therefore you could not question it. food was good though The funny part was they was trying to fob us off by putting us in a restaurant next door called the Jasmine

Fell for the reviews (most people think they are at Aladdin next door which gets much better reviews) which makes the whole thing dubious. Food was ok but there are much, much better places to go just off brick lane. Fine if this is one of your first curries but avoid if you have a more discerning curry need!

this is a complete catfish! - their reviews are terrible and they have very poor service. If you want tomatoes sauce with come chili powder - go there!

Worst curry I have ever had - Tandoori Mixed Grill and naan were lukewarm at best. When I mentioned this it was taken away and reheated. Quality of food in the dish was poor - chewy, overdone meat. To be fair to the restaurant they took this off the bill but I would not return. Business is based on churning out mediocre food based on quantity rather than quality.

Typisch eingerichteter Inder. Gemütlich. Habe online reserviert. Es wurden 20% Rabatt versprochen, die man aber nicht bekommen hat. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Lamb Blast war angebrannt und man hatte versucht es irgendwie zu kaschieren. Rausgeschmeckt hat man es trotzdem. Der Rest, den wir bestellt haben war Mittelklasse. Bei den Saucen zum Nan war eine wirklich gut, die anderen 2 OK und als 4 Belag gab es einfach gehackte Zwiebeln. Würde ich nicht mehr hingehen.

The curry I had was fairly tasteless. The sauce was thin and lacking in any onion base, normally a staple of a good restaurant curry. I cook better myself and the currys in Southall and Hounslow are far superior in the taste: range of flavour, etc. I live in Birmingham and have grown up on Baltis. This “Balti” bore no relationship to any balti I’ve ever eaten and would have been sent back in Birmingham, the home of the Balti. The nan bread was like a brick. Not sure how they managed to ruin that - overcooking and inadequate rising of the dough?? I won’t be returning. I guess the tourists might like the mild flavour, but it wasn’t good for anyone with any experience of Indian food.

In an area spoilt for choice, we were very glad we chose Aladin in Brick Lane. I came here wih my wife and decided to leave the kids at home to celebrate our anniversary. We rarely get to eat Indian cuisine because our kids don't really eat it. But we enjoyed our dishes very much and the service was there to match it. The atmosphere was very chill and the waiters were friendly. We asked the waiter for recommendations and we had the lamb special and a chicken dish. We left very happy and with a full belly to go thrifting around the area!

The chicken was not cooked properly, it caused serious problems. They literally just cooked it in Tandoori sauce there was no marination to the chicken.

I went here with a mate with lunchtime. Curiously, a group of Americans came in with a tour guide, barely ate what they were given and quickly left. Not surprising, one of the things Yanks don't appreciate - or can do - is a decent curry. My mate and I, however, are seasoned curry eaters and enjoyed what we ate. I had a very good lamb jafrazi and sag allow. The portion was not massive but it was flavoursome. My mate had a dansak, which he enjoyed. Service was prompt. You take your own booze in. It was not cheap. No doubt they fiddled us on the bill, but it was very nice.

My wife and I went to Aladin Brick Lane for dinner recently. It was a great choice. So good and huge selection of options on menu. Had a lamb and chicken dish. The chicken dish was quite spicy but tasty. Lamb was outstanding. Start with the poppadums and spread of dips. It is BYOB so bring your wine or beer. Very busy and fun and we will be back.

Food was ok and general experience was good but completely undermined but what can only be described as stealing. We went as a group of 9 and no-one had food costing more £15, yet when we went to pay we somehow ended up paying upwards of £25 each once we split the bill evenly. There were some random charges added on the the end of the bill - on top of the service charge - that were deliberately scrawled so we couldn’t read it, but amounted to probably 30 or 40 quid. When we asked for a proper receipt with all the costs itemised, they just scrawled it out again. I find this to be absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. They think they can steal from you and you won’t notice - don’t risk it.

Bit over spiced and oily. Not much flavour to the onion bhaji or samosa. Restaurant was kind enough to replace item on veg platter I didn't want though. And driver found the address on their own which I often have issues with.

Food was below average. Very cheap quality ingredients. Service fast. They tried to bump up our bill by £30 hoping we wouldn’t notice. The whole experience just makes you feel hustled. It’s as if they’re trying to make a quick buck at any moment.

First of all the reviews in this and the nearby restaurants are fake. Check them carefully and you will undestand that also Please avoid this restaurant. We saw a rat on the toilet. I could stop the review here but there is more. We got overcharged and then the personnel did not give us the change back. The food was ok. The atmosphere was not looking good. Everyone can get fooled by Google reviews. I hope I can help you avoid this.
