Albany Tandoori in Enfield

En realidad pedí una comida para llevar, como un amigo había ordenado desde allí y dijo que era muy agradable. Lo pedí a las 5. 35 pm, el tiempo de entrega fue de 45 minutos, que era aproximadamente la norma, así que como tengo que tomar tabletas antes de comer, ese fue el momento perfecto. Esperamos y esperamos, pulí el lugar y dijeron orry pero el conductor estaba en su camino llevando en minuto este wa ahora 1 hora después de que ordené, y en este momento no me siento bien como tengo que comer, bueno el conductor teléfono después de hora y media dijo que estaba libre de tráfico y en su camino, pasó totalmente por mi bloque de apartamentos, finalmente conseguí mi comida después de 2 horas, y hacía frío, y por supuesto debido al hecho de que había tomado tabletas, era demasiado tarde para mí para comer, así que era £ 32 desperdiciado, mi cuidadora se comió la suya después de microondas. Pero nunca pediré de ellos, servicio asqueroso y comida fría.

My food was on time but the egg rice was full of water and the rice was definitely not cooked and the chicken was like I was chewing cotton wool did not enjoy at all which is a same because I alway use theses but food was not nice at all and I ordered early.

Called to complain disconnected. Many x's I called to complain food sauces bland & tasteless, meat was tough apart from the look you wouldn't know what meat it was no quality control or consistency this meal was supposed to have peppers it had none

Firstly I ordered 4 popadoms and received 2 the popadoms were stale and not fresh and the rice was clumpy and sticky. The curries were both delicious with no issue

Do not waste ur money!! Absolutely horrendous quality meat that has definitely not been marinated at all!! I’ve cooked better curries out of a jar !!!!!!

Absolutely enjoyed the food as usual. Very flavourful and tasty. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat from. Highly recommend!

The chicken tikka madras, was spicy like I wanted, but tasted bad. The cauliflower baji, rice & peshwari naan were all delicious. I'll most likely order again but probably with a different main dish.

I have been going here since I can remember, it’s the best Indian takeaway in Enfield by far and I’ve tried them all. I never write reviews but this place deserves an excellent one!

The foad was fresh at least I ad salad with it and fried popodums

1 hour late and was missing my popadum and rice. rang restaurant they apologised but to be honest if I'm waiting an hour and half for my food at least get it right. won't be ordering from here again

Very few decent restaurants on this road. This one was okay. Service good, food tasty but lamb slightly undercooked for my taste but friend liked it that way. So just a matter of individual taste. Very reasonable prices.

We had a delivery tonight,45mins - an hour. 1hr20mins later,after another call,it arrived. We got the take away onto the table and it was far below the temperature you would expect it to be delivered at. I phoned to complain, they put it through to voice mail ! To be fair,the lamb bhuna was tasty,but could find only tiny pieces of mushroom in the mushroom rice ! Overall experience,,,,,,,,we won't be ordering again. It used to be excellent.

Awful experience. Ordered food over an hour in advance of when we wanted it. Part of the order arrived 40 mins late so was all cold. The rest of the order was delivered nearly an hour and a half late so was stone cold. Called up and was not offered a refund.

Ordered on just eat 2 hours in advance and food was 40 mins late. Half the order was missing, when I complained on the phone I mentioned a refund and they decided not to deliver the food without processing a refund. Awful service and the food that did arrive was cold.

When my meal arrived it was cold so I had to put it in the microwave to heat up. Also there was an item missing. I can only assume they were busy

Food was of good quality. Delivered quickly by a pleasant and friendly person. Food tasted great. The spicy tandoori chicken biryani was the highlight of the meal for us, it was perfect for our taste.

Order from here on a regular basis and never really had much of an issue. This time our food arrived and the Passandas were bland and watery as anything. I appreciate they are mild curries but there was no flavour to them at all. Most unlike Albany Tandoori as they usually do really nice Passandas.

My food was nice and hot when it was delivered. And it was flavoured just right.

Made excuse problem in kitchen. Should let customers know if there is a issue. This is not the first time it's been late but will be the last am not happy about the explanation I got. So there will be no more orders from me this restaurant is off my list.

Really bad food, chicken tasted old or reused all the curries tasteless as well it seemed like the sauces were the same really disappointed of what we got after a £65 spend, didn’t send the right curry, wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here. Most of the food we ordered ended up getting chucked away due to taste. Me and my family all had bad stomachs after having just a few bites of the food. Used to use Albany a lot but seems like the standards have dropped really bad over time. Would advise people to avoid eating food here, me and the family were unwell after 2mins of just having a couple of bites. The owner should be disappointed and should take control and make sure food is fresh and also make sure that the right items are sent out to people. 😡😡😡

I have ordered from Albany regularly, but the food on the last two orders was really poor quality. Chicken in the curries we ordered tasted old or reused. Me and my family had bad stomachs after most of the food was not touched or eaten. Chucked away basically everything we ordered. I had also ordered Methi chicken and received Geera chicken instead was looking forward to the food, what a shame with the quality and sending out wrong items, really disappointed Albany tandoori used to be really good seems the standards and quality of food and service has dropped. After spending £65 off quid you we walked always with bad bellies and bad food, won’t be ordering food from here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to get food from Albany no more.

Fantastic food! The vindaloo was beautiful. Can’t fault the taste on every dish, will definitely order again! Unfortunately they missed off an item but it was only ice cream so not the end of the world.

Tasty chicken tikka masala but cheap-tasting and slightly too sweet/sugary. Lamb bhuna had a decent gravy but meat was chewy. Dansak. Hot indeed. Decent, nothing to write home about. Curry Connoisseur disclaimer: these opinions were based on a takeaway, which arrived warm enough.

Delicious. The set meals are great value and reasonably priced too. Big enough portions for 2. So much leftover that we had a full meal again today! Chose an creamy curry from their specials (lamb passanda) for a bit of both. It was amazing! Definitely deserves a 5* rate!

Had food from here before and was very good, however not this time the Chicken Dhansak had so much lemon in it, it was actually inedible!! The Garlic Tandoori was pretty insipid certainly tasted no garlic. The rice and onion bhagi were ok. Will have to find another takeaway. Do not recommend ordering from here

The cauliflower baji was flavourless with a bad texture, I’d prefer it cruchy and with flavour as opposed to the opposite. The chicken tikka madras was better but still just didn’t taste of much and was only mildly spicy. The rice was small with no option for a larger one, but I got a naan too which turned out to be enough to mix with the rest of my food. I have to say the peshwari naan was the best bit of my meal. I also have to say that it’s disappointing that with small portions and large prices, that I got no free mint sauce or poppadoms. Not to mention the fact I paid £4 for a 1.5 litre bottle of coke and got a 1.25 litre. Overall a really average meal, if not less than, when it’s usually my favourite

I called up asking where my food was, this was 20 minutes late. Then got told would be a few minutes but nothing. Eventually it came after being lied to about my food being out of delivery. Made me walk out in the ice to meet him down another road. Then slipped on my way back and curry spilt everywhere. Thank you very much now my night is ruined

It was lovely but I didn't like the fact I asked for no lamb and they still gave me lamb instead of chicken so I had to throw it away as we don't eat lamb

Last week we had Dansak and we never got our rice so it ruined the dinner, also a popadom was missing, we love the food it’s always delicious, but when you have paid and not received it’s not ok, so if someone checks the food before it goes out, I even asked the delivery driver if everything was there he said yes,!

Ordered 3 currys with rice and naan bread. 1 the bread was cold and 2nd the korma i ordered had no taste so wont order that again so was a waste of money.

We went there recently whilst visiting my cousin. The samosas and biryanis were very good and the dhal and onion bhajias were among the best we had ever had (and weve been to India). Everything was keenly priced and the service was superb, kind and friendly but not too attentive. Perfect. We will come back when we are in the UK again.
