Great beer and the standard and price of the food. Super nice service, who even offered a beer sampler when we couldn't choose.

First time coming and have a lovely time. Me and my friend order the Sunday Roast with Chicken and Pork, cauliflower cheese bake and stuffing balls. It was delicious 😋. I would definitely be back.

I’ve been a couple of times to The Albert Arms for the Sunday roast hits the spot! Good size serving, can’t fault it. Best veggie roast I have had. Only personal preference would be to have more greens than swede & parsnips. However, I feel if I asked they would likely accommodate. Good wine list by the glass. Nice atmosphere. We also went quite late on a Sunday afternoon and still had meat and veggie options available!

Great food and a very friendly place

Loved this stylish gastro pub for Sunday lunch. The veggie wellington was the nicest I’ve had - tasty, moist, great pastry - and the gravy was delicious. It was super cosy by the fire. Also, for central London, the prices were very reasonable, e.g. £8 for a cocktail and £37 the most expensive bottle of red. Will definitely be back!

Traditional Pub, came here with my father after a visit to the Imperial War Museum yesterday on Sunday. Ate some Fish n Chips, really good, big portions. They were fully booked, luckily the manager gave us a table which was available for a bit over an hour prior to the reservation. Good service, Good food, Traditional, was a bit pricey tho, but nice experience.

I adore this pub—it’s the epitome of British charm, offering an outstanding menu and an impressive selection of drinks. The Sunday roast is simply unparalleled—the best I’ve ever had in London! If you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely must!

We had an excellent Christmas lunch for friends here, with a lovely vegan Wellington. Great attentive staff, friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs too. A warm log burner in the corner makes this a great spot in winter.

Says there a proper pub on there website, they are not. Its a reseraunt trying to present itself as a pub, food is therefore good but expensive and there not very welcoming if you just want a drink

Delicious truffle pizza and artichoke dip! Belinda served us and she was so cheerful and friendly and took the time to chat. Very pleasant evening! Would definitely return!

Came here to check it out again because it's now under new management. The food was good before, but I have to say the roast we had recently was possibly now even better! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic pub with a warm and inviting atmosphere! The staff were friendly and attentive (especially James), the drinks menu was extensive with great local craft beers, and the food was exceptional – especially the fish and chips. Perfect for a casual evening out or meeting with friends.

This is an amazing place for great friendly service and great food ! Highly recommend the Sunday roast, one of the best in London .

Fabulous pub had lovely tapas and wine, really cozy atmosphere with the wood burner. Staff are so nice specially the landlord. Will definitely be going back.

Came here for a drink on a Friday and was moved around tables to be favoured for diners (without reservations) although we were never offered a menu or asked if we were planning to eat.

The place is nice enough, and clean. It was very quiet, only 2 tables in the dining area. The music a little boring. Pleasant service. Fish 'n' chips were delicious. The beef burger had a great flavour, but the meat patty was completely dry. Such a shame, that cost a star.

Terrible experiencia! Trabajo cerca y solía ir con compañeros de trabajo. Su asado del domingo es excelente, así que hice una reserva para ir con amigos el domingo 22 de septiembre. Me ofrecieron dos cupos a las 3: 30 horas y 5: 00 p.m. Elegí 15. 30 y fue confirmado por Sonata. Cuando llegó el día llamé temprano en la mañana para hacerles saber si podíamos posponerlo a las 4 : 30 pm porque mi amigo llegó tarde, me dijeron que no había problema. Nuestra sorpresa fue que al llegar al lugar nos dijeron que no tenían nuestra reserva, a pesar de tener una confirmación por escrito, y que la cocina estaba cerrada (a pesar de que se podían ver los platos de comida saliendo de la cocina a las mesas) y que este domingo era su último día abierta. Si cierran la cocina a las 4. 30 pm, ¿cómo pueden ofrecernos comer a las 5 pm? Un montón de mentiras... nos dejaron varados y no se molestaron en ofrecer una disculpa. El personal del bar era el más inservible. Tuvimos que salir de los lugares sin comer y toda la experiencia fue una gran decepción. Nunca más volveré a poner un pie en este lugar... Y absolutamente no se lo recomiendo a nadie. ¡No valoran a los clientes!

*****5 star***** Sunday Roast here! The chef really knows what he’s doing, very fast indeed. Had the roast beef and lamb with shepherds pie. Every mouthful was a joy. Lovely bar staff too and chilled atmosphere. Will come again for sure.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Albert Arms on their opening day and met James and Mason, two of the friendliest people in the city! They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. **A Memorable First-Time Sunday Roast** I had my very first Sunday roast at Albert Arms and it was an unforgettable experience. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the roasted vegetables were cooked to perfection. The rich gravy tied everything together beautifully The vegetarian version was incredibly delicious 😋 . The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the attentive service, made it a fantastic introduction to this classic meal. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Finally got down to The Albert Arms for one of their famous Sunday Roasts and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be returning to try out their lunch time menu. Excellent customer service... I had booked a table during the week but was running a bit late dropped them a call and the staff were very accommodating. The perfect vibe for a sunny afternoon.

This place is stunning, and the service is exceptional. Chiara took great care of us from the moment we arrived. The food and service both deserve a solid 10/10 rating.

Never write reviews but I popped into the Albert when staying nearby and as a solo female I felt properly looked after by the lovely staff. Nice atmosphere, great food (the dahl was amazing and recommend the Brixton beer to go with it). And a great 80s playlist too!

A nice pub with a good wine list! We had dinner here and the mains were generously sized and very tasty (with great chips!) - I had the bavette steak which was cooked to my liking, and others had the pie (cooked fresh to order), fish and chips (which was HUGE) and the burger. Puddings were a bit disappointing for the price: £8 for a sticky toffee pudding which was quite a dense/grainy sponge and would have benefitted from a bigger scoop of ice cream, and £9.50 for a rather disappointing cheeseboard... Overall would recommend for anyone in the market for a good drink and some classic gastro pub meal (but maybe pass on the puds)

A small pub, nice local area. Staff all very friendly. I went for the lamb roast and was not disappointed. For the price, I think it’s worth it as it filled me up very quickly. It’s a lot of food for one person.

Conveniently located across from LSBU Active, this is the perfect spot for post-exercise drinks! I had a reasonably priced pint of Coke while the rest of the group had varying pints and food They had lunch time deals on offer which I believe was a nice touch - the food was incorrect however still mentioned to be great and the staff member realised themselves later on and offered a free side to resolve which was kind of them The venue was really cute inside with a small little bar area and a larger restaurant style feel behind the double sided bar We decided to sit outside on one of the various benches and it was lovely! I like that’s it’s located on a sharp corner allowing it to be quite a staple point 😊

When I booked the table the menu had several great vegan dishes on it but a week later when we arrived the menu had changed and there wasn't a single one on there. Very disappointing that they did that.

A nice little pub and was very quiet when I visited. I like the art on the walls. However, there was a funny smell inside. I can't quite tell what it was but it was a bit unpleasant.

The food is amazing. The fish and chips are incredible! Everyone there is friendly and the atmosphere is amazing! We love everything about it.

Lovely little pub with great house wine. Unfortunately the Christmas lunch was not so good. Undercooked vegetables, over processed turkey and a very small mass produced Christmas pudding. Very disappointing for £35. Not worth that.

Small-ish two-room pub set back from a busy road. Super-friendly, cool prints on the walls, great vibe with a mix of young/older clientele. Will definitely come back if in the area as made to feel very welcome. Food and drink are a bit pricey but still feels like decent value when you weigh up your visit. No screens, thankfully.

Our 20th at least visit for Sunday lunch which was delicious. Sonata and her team ensure everything runs well and everyone is looked after. Friendly efficient service goes a long way in hospitality, something that’s often neglected now.

A small, friendly, cozy local pub with the kindest staff I have seen in ages, they really made me feel at home. Table wine was a surprise, the staek was tasty. The decor is unusually pleasant - even the empty plate looked stylish. Price is reasonable. Will go back for sure!

An ok burger but pricey... Larger on offer didn't taste right to me, but it was cheap

Based on reviews we were really looking forward to our Lunch at the Albert arms. There was a group of 6 of us and they were busy so when we booked there was only room in the bar area so we appreciated that. The service was good, staff friendly and a good atmosphere. The food however let the place down a little, 2 of our party had the pate to start, it was chicken liver spread than a pate (almost liquid) however the prawn cocktail and the mushroom toast with crispy poached egg were lovely, for mains the pork cheek and fish and chips were good, the steak (for 2 people) however came out stone cold so we returned them and they cooked us 2 more, when they came out they were still not that hot and quite frankly they were over cooked on the outside, almost burned giving them a bitter taste and then covered in enough garlic to scare off a million vampires. In conclusion, a nice pub with good beer and good attentive and friendly staff but the food is a Minced bag.

So had a little drink after work.,asked to moved as large party coming in was going upstairs but as over 50s couldn't make it. Cheekily asked for glass wine on the house to move. Turned out not necessary and party drinking water and didn't ordered food. Trying to order another's drink and my companion told NO as I was rude. DID I SWEAR NO did I create a scene NO over 50 myself expect to pay service for drink and rude service. Will not be going back. Shame about the young guy who doesn't have any manners and couldn't tell me to my face I wasnt welcome as cheekily asked for a drink we were prepaid to pay its called banter sadly wont be back. The young girl was OK.

Although the kitchen has closed, they were very accommodating and reopened it for us. The food was good and the servers were friendly.

What a lovely place to meet friends, this is a wonderful pub with a great team and their food was beautiful. Wish I had taken pictures, but that scotch egg was consumed very quickly!

I had a lovely time at the Albert Arms for my 30th. We were able to reserve the back bar area which was a lovely private space perfect for couples with young children and it was just really chilled and relaxed. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing to book a private area for a large group, didn't require any minimum spend just £50 deposit which was transferred back quickly. Service was really good and the food was great also.

Really love this pub which is a favourite of mine however really feel the last two visits have let it down. The last time I came we had a drink outside before deciding to stay for dinner so went through to ask if we could have a table for dinner at around 7pm. Less than half the tables set for dinner were already taken but we told we told the only table available was the small one by the door which was not set for dinner. We accepted this assuming the rest were booked but no more customers arrived before we left at around 8.30pm so clearly they hadn't. Felt rather annoyed and embarrassed that for some reason they didn't think we were good enough to have one of the proper Restaurant tables. The other issue I have is that the toilets never seem to have any soap when I'm there. Real shame, I won't be back.

Have to praise James working on his own on 26th, Race Day! He was having to serve behind the bar, take food orders and collect food from kitchen. Not once did he get stressed being short staffed! Well done James and thank you :)

Great gluten free roast! I had the lamb, it was delicious. Get there early on a Sunday if you want the beef / chicken. Even a gluten free pudding - sticky toffee pudding. Definitely coming back.

Spending three days in London and staying at a hotel near The Albert Arms. Stopped in for lunch one day and came back for dinner the next. Great service. Friendly staff. Traditional beer battered fish, and chips were great. Sticky pudding was excellent!

£8.40 for a small glass of bad watery Chardonnay….AVOID this pub!!!! This should say much about this pub. Went there on Thursday for a bday drink and was shocked by the price for a small glass of white wine which didn’t even taste good. Rip off even in comparison to central london pubs. I had bad stomach afterwards. Never returning again.

What a great pub! If you’re looking for a warm welcome, good food and great selection of lagers then look no further! Just popped into this pub for refreshments after doing a London walk and then stayed on for lunch! Very friendly service, great ambience and served my favourite beer on tap, Leffe Blonde! We sat in the courtyard garden, small but beautifully presented with lovely wooden furniture that had been repurposed, with colourful cushions for added comfort. We only had one course but the double cheeseburger was very satisfying and the fish and chips were excellent! They had a varied menu, and lots of healthy options too! Would definitely recommend this pub if you are visiting this area of London.

The best sticky toffee I've ever eaten. Such a shame the gravy was watery and there wasn't an alternative to Sunday roast as it's the last thing I'd order and this place can seriously cook.
