Albert's Shed in Manchester

First impressions of this restaurant is it’s really beautiful and modern. Really friendly greeting on arrival and seated straight away. The food was fantastic but did take some choosing as there was lots on the menu we wanted to order. Will definitely return.

Relaxing meal for a group of friends. Convivial atmosphere, lively service from Nstalie (?), who was chatty and efficient. The £14.99 two course menu was very good value and the chicken was very tasty

Me, my boyfriend and my best friend and his boyfriend had a meal here to say goodbye to my best friend as he is moving to Gran Canaria with his boyfriend. What fabulous staff you have there, honestly, they are so lovely and down to earth, attentive but not overbearing, 100% deserve a bonus. The food was delicious, absolutely spot on, fabulous deal in for January, everything on the menu is outstanding. The cocktails are fabulous too. I only selected the noise as moderate because we were the 4 loud people in there!! Well done guys, keep up the good work, me and my boyfriend will be back soon!

A dinner for 10 of us was handled so well by our friendly and efficient server Natalie and the rest of the team. All the food was delicious and arrived hot and timely. It was nice to have a full a la carte Menu to chose from rather than typical pre Xmas options or pre ordering for larger groups. Top Marks to Albert's Shed.

We had the set Christmas lunch menu for three adults. Everything was top notch. The food was exquisite, the serving staff were very friendly, experienced and efficient. The ambience is really nice: clean, tidy, classy, without being snobbish. Super cool historical location. Very good value for the high standard. Very highly recommended.

I would give them a million stars if I could! The food was exceptional, nothing like I have tasted anywhere else in Manchester! And the staff members were warm as well!

The restaurant was busy with office parties but the service we received from Nicola was brilliant, friendly and efficient, and even though the place was packed all were all the staff were lovely. The food was beautiful and we had a lovely experience.

Went for a meal with colleagues. Food was nice but a little on the posh side with the small portions.

We had our wedding lunch here and it was absolutely brilliant. Annie and the rest of the team really looked after us, the food was amazing and we had a great time!

We arrived on time and we were advised that they were not ready for us so they sent us next door to get a drink. Food was average and service ok. Someone came over at the end of our meal to apologize for the start of our sitting but no offer of a free bottle of wine or dessert. This was your chance to rectify the problem, missed chance. I won't go back.

Had a booking with friends for my husband's birthday. When we arrived, we were ignored by all the staff for a full 15 minutes before we were greeted and led to our table, which was very disappointing. However, our order was taken promptly, and both drinks and food arrived fairly quickly. 2 ordered the roast beef, which was delicious, although the yorkshire pudding was missed from both. One had slow cooked beef, and it was again delicious. I wasn't very hungry, so I had mini pie with a side order of bubble and squeak. Although the pie was small, it had plenty of meat in it, and the bubble and squeak was so tasty. The waitress was apologetic about the yorkshire puddings and told us very honestly that she'd forgotten. She then brought a smores martini cocktail to make up for it. This cocktail was so creamy, the marshmallows were crispy on the outside and melty in the middle, and it really was a sweet treat! Then, the waitress brought my husband a chocolate brownie with a huge sparkler in for his birthday. It was the first time we'd been to the castlegate/deansgate locks area, a lovely atmosphere. Lots of christmassy lights made it so pretty, too. All in all, an excellent meal just let down by the initial lack of greeting really. Although our waitress made up for that.

I recently visited A.S. for my mother-in-law's birthday, and it was a truly memorable evening. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart, as it was a favorite of my late grandmother, who visited frequently. The experience lived up to all the wonderful memories I had since visiting all those years ago. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and lead to our table. The ambiance was cozy but sophisticated. The food, as always, was exquisite. We are from the seasonal menu, costing ~£15 for 2 course, and ~£18 for 3. Every dish our party had was a perfect blend of comfort food, and fine dining. Clean plates all around. What truly made the evening exceptional was the outstanding service. Annie and Eve could not have done more for us, from the moment we stepped through the door. Their attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professionalism were second to none. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and that the birthday celebration was perfect. Balancing a friendly, welcoming environment while still delivering an impeccable service is difficult, but looked effortless when we visited. I cannot recommend Albert Shed enough for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful meal with top-notch service. This place is a gem hidden by the canal and the iconic Deansgate Arche. I look forward to many more visits in the future. Thank you for making our evening so special and for keeping my grandmother's memory alive through your exceptional hospitality. Not a big one me for major scoffs but really wanted to mark the occasion... So pleasantly surprised by the quality of this experience. Be as piccy as you want (if you are massively overprivileged) but for me this was the absolute bizzo. Not cheap but who cares. Great food. Really nice ambience and very helpful and nice staff. Can't wait for the next excuse for a splurge...

Went with work colleagues for a festive lunch. Loved that they had a separate vegan Christmas menu which had a few different options on it, much better than some places which only do the one token vegan option! I appreciate the thought and effort from the chefs to create it. I loved the gnocchi starter and the chocolate torte. The main course was decent (pie and veg) but it said it would come with roasties which unfortunately it didn't, the potatoes looked like they'd just been steamed and weren't seasoned, they were not crispy/crunchy or flavoursome like they should be. Please make some crispy herby vegan roasties and I would've given it 5 stars! Drinks were good and service was generally good too.

Catered wonderfully for our large party of 10; the food was excellent overall for a Christmas set menu: 4.5/5. Stand-outs were the slow-cooked beef & coconut & sweetcorn soup. Service was great, lovely, lively atmosphere & decor- couldn’t fault it. Thankyou very much- we had a lovely time & would definitely book again.

Cheese and onion pie had no taste it was lukewarm the peas were stone cold I mentioned this and was told they had two chefs in the kitchen and one was an executive chef and they had tested the temperature Didn't seem interested that we hadn't enjoyed the experience and we were looking forward to a nice meal.

We hired a room at Albert’s Worsley for my baby shower. The communication was brilliant from start to finish with Martyna.. I was very impressed. The service throughout the day from Katie and her team was brilliant.. they were incredibly busy in the main restaurant and we had no idea. I would highly recommend this restaurants for your special occasions.

Place was lovely, All waiters and waitresses were so polite and helpful, service was fast and the food was amazing.

We were greeted by a lovely lady on the door called Liv, she took us to our table, and really set up our experience that evening with a short but sweet menu explanation, answering any questions we had. Introduced by liv, we were then served for the rest of the evening by Cleo, who was absolutely fabulous the entire evening, from the friendly and attentive service to a sneaky birthday cake and song at the end of our meal. She seems to really enjoy what she does and this, in turn, made us really enjoy our experience here. Other than the impeccable service, the food was also divine, my sister (whose birthday it was) asked for a blue fillet steak and it came cooked to perfection (as did all the rest of our dishes) would highly recommend the fillet steak and duck starter. If you want to dine somewhere where you can eat superbly crafted dishes whilst simultaneously getting some of the best service you will receive then I would say you have found your place!

I recently attended Albert’s Shed in Manchester. Unfortunately I lost the card to leave a review but I just wanted to say it was an absolutely amazing experience. I suffer from strange allergies (potato and tomato) and the staff could not have been any kinder and welcoming which is a rare experience ! The food was absolutely mind blowing and the staff were all so lovely ! Thank you all so much for a lovely experience and making our weekend so amazing !

I thought a Thursday night would see this venue significantly busier, but with hindsight, I'm glad it wasn't. I was part of a big party of 12 people but we were booked. We probably made up over 50% of the covers at 7 pm in a restaurant that can do 80-100. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly, but it was clear that they were understaffed this particular evening with the waitress service swapping as the initial waitress needed to cover the bar. We waited a while for drinks and for the opportunity to order food but the food was exceptionally good quality and although I felt it was overpriced versus the service, but again not the fault of the people that served us, I had a very enjoyable meal as did my colleagues and not one person was unhappy with either the starter or the main. The atmosphere was a little flat, but it did aid an evening of talking and getting to know colleagues I've not socialised with before, so that was a plus. I am, however, certain that when the staff numbers are right, that this venue is exceptionally good, and I would go back again. I'm sure that this was a one-off and again I can't fault the serving staff and quality of food. One waitress was upset about something, and we did see another talking her through something that had upset her, so I do hope she is OK. With a couple of extra people serving and a few more people, the whole experience would have been a 5-star evening.

Avoid, this restaurant confuses lamb and beef and they tell you that it's the same thing, instead of a lamb stew I had beef bourguignon but for them it's normal, nothing to do between the menu and the plate, a little culinary culture damn it!!!

Had Sunday lunch here in the outdoor terrace. Food was unbelievable and staff were excellent. We both had the roast beef with a side of truffle cauliflower cheese. Can’t recommend enough and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Manchester. It can work out a bit pricey by adding side dishes but it is 100% worth every penny

Visited for a family celebration! Great experience on the day overall! The lady on the phone when booking was rushed and not particularly polite.

Visited early on a Sunday evening when it was pretty quiet. All beef & lamb was off the menu, no problem, pizza's and chicken roast etc still available. Food was very good but service rather slow, gave up waiting for desert & left. Maybe staff on a wind down after a busy weekend but rather a shame as venue & food was great.

Our first visit, great welcome by the staff, food ( Smash Burger and Malayan Chicken) was exquisite. The staff were great especially Katy who was fun, polite and engaging. All in all a superb experience and we will return.

Nice place to stop for lunch around Castlefield. The burgers were good, I'm told, but not many GF options for veggies. Lots of inside and outside space.

Great experience at Albert’s Shed. We were having a dinner with our friends and family prior to our wedding day. The whole party gave great compliments about the food. Aisha was a particular highlight to our visit. She got the table laughing and was very accommodating, especially to a pregnant lady in our party who had to make an adjustment to remove the cured meat from one of the dishes. Service was prompt and we hardly had to wait for drinks to arrive. Thank you!

We come here every time we come to Manchester. Today is my Birthday, Cleo heard it was my birthday and a little brownie arrived. Its just those little things that mean a lot to someone. Hope you continue to do that as it really does make someone feel good. Cleo has served us before. She is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. A good combo. Food amasing from the flatbread to the cheese and onion pie, and goats salad. We’ll be back again soon

This is our go to place a few times a year for a multi generation family catch up & it’s been brilliant every time! Service was fab from Natalie, nothing was too much trouble & she made us feel so welcome. We had pizzas, steak frites, chicken & nduja, all delicious & Natalie kept us topped up with drinks. The 2 course menu is great value too. We’ll be back soon & hoping we get Natalie as our server again, she was wonderful :).

We enjoyed a shared mushroom aranchini for entré. The mains were roast chicken and lamb. A shared sticky toffee pudding for dessert finished off the evening. Natalie was our waitress and she look d after us as if we were old friends. Absolutely loved the whole experience.
