The mixed grill was good overall although the portion size was small considering that it cost £18. The chips were overcooked and dry. One of the main staff members who was serving customers and preparing orders kept swearing out loud repeatedly and appeared to be enjoying it. That was very strange, unpleasant and unprofessional.

Ordered through the website Which was easy to use, Delivery arrived within 30 minutes tasty food, Ordered combination kebab and also mix grill to try every thing. Every thing was just great. One of the best Turkish around.

Very upset as we ordered our food over 1 hour and 30 minutes ago and it’s still not here. Every time we call we are told it will come soon. Second time I called I was told Uber will deliver it when it’s clearly their own driver. I am fuming. I am a loyal customer and order every single week and now I’m left without food and it’s not here. Not happy.

Regular customer here. Food is usually great but just got a takeaway. Called as soon as the food was dropped off as the portion size was a disgrace. Called to complain, waited over 10 minutes while the chefs argue in the background and made out like I was lying. Only to be told nothing we can do. Offered something on the house for next time then the guy changed his mind and said only if I come in now to show my food. Offered them to send a picture of the food if given a mobile number but they didn’t want me to. Absolute disgrace won’t be going back

Visited for a work lunch and I had the lamb shish which was delicious! Salad was fresh with a very tasty dressing and the bread was soft and warm. Great service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place!

Amazing Food! The best in the area without question!! This has become our family regular hot spot for both eating in and takeaways. Food is always on point - you cant go wrong with the Platters, very well portioned and tastes great! I will certainly post again with the pictures !!

I ordered the mixed shish and the portion was quite small and the bread was not freshly made - most likely it was store bought. Nonetheless, the meat was tasty. I was quite disappointed by experience this time: this place is not what it used to be.

Best of the best turkish restaurant in Dagenham East

Just arrived after being highly recommended this restaurant by friends in the area. Left within 5 minutes of sitting down. Server didn’t even say hello and I asked for half rice/chips on my main as a small portion of each and was refused, told to pay extra and they wouldn’t do it, would rather lose the custom. Will not be back.

Highly recommend this place, plenty of meat, tasty garlic and chilli sauces, bread could have been toasted a little more but overall a great kebab. Also reasonably priced for London.

Honestly couldn’t recommend more so tasty and really friendly staff was remembered just by coming in once about 2 months from coming back.

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. Staff were rude, more interested in their own conversations than serving customers that are waiting to place an order. They ignore you like you are not there. Lots of complaining about customers, which is very unprofessional. Food cold and dry. Chicken doner from the pot not freshly cut, the chicken had a funny smell to it. Pitta was rock hard. Salad was okay, and sauces nice. But wouldn’t recommend. The prices are very high too.

I have been a regular customer for a while but last few times, I have been disappointed either items missing or order wrong, as cant order via Uber anymore had to ring the shop and communication is terrible either the person answering the phone is hard to talk to or I have to repeat myself several times. Having read the recent reviews (very suspicious most all on the same day?!? Internal or fake maybe) I must agree with with the lady employee comments, it has gone downhill recently and so has the quality and quantity. If its the big lady with glasses she regularly delivered to me and was always very polite and always earlier than expected, I won't be ordering again

The environment is very friendly and also good good and tasty. Would recommend the rice pudding especially, as most Turkish places make it too watery, their texture is on point! It used to be takeaway oriented but now they redecorated and improved the eat-in as well.

I was working for these people for 2 years! I walked out last week and will now publicly call them out! Unprofessional and incompetent! Customer service diabolical! No respect for customers or thier opinions (see response comments on other reviews) intimidating and disrespectful to females using thier own language and take no responsibility for thier own mistakes. The food is good but depending on who prepares it and who delivers it is hit and miss! Since the temporary management they had in left in January, the place has gone downhill! This review is not left maliciouslly as a disgruntled ex employee, but someone with self respect and dignity! And who doesnt think its acceptable for grown men challenge a 19 yr old woman for a fight! So I look forward to the response! Reply to response: 1. Busiest night? 2 deliveries in 4 hrs?? The driver in question who u previously sacked because he took 43 mins to do a 12 min delivery and in your word 'slow, lazy and always eating' cried and u gave his job back works for u 60 hrs a week as well as having a 2nd job was due to finish in 10 minutes and yet allowed him to take my delivery after waiting for 2hr 25mins since the last delivery! You also failed to mention that i came bk 20 mins later and asked ro talk to you and you was 'too busy' but watching football on your phone! Respect and goodwill??? I must have missed that! And getting my daughter to start fights???? Are u having a laugh she stuck up for herself because at least 4 of you adult men had shouted at her and blamed her for things that wasn't her fault! And Yaz as for quoting 1 review I am fully aware of that review and the 'rude' was because I said to the customer "next time you order can you make sure I can get in" as she had turned off her intercom and I had to buzz her neighbours who in turn had been rude to me! Ordered last night. Called the restaurant to give a requirement to the Chef, lady on the phone very polite and straight forward. Food was absolutely tasty. The lamb Ribs were cooked to perfection. Very chunky and very tasty. Definitely worth the money, as I buy Ribs quite a lot and never any meat on them what's so ever. Filo pastry, lamb doner etc all was full of flavour. Will be buying again for tonight's dinner 😋

It's a decent local Turkish place. I mainly order take away. Price is a bit steep and my most recent order, they've reduced the portion of food, mainly the chilli sauce and cold mezes.

Firstly the food is amazing, BUT.. ordered through Uber Eats. Firstly the delivery driver was a Male, not a Female. With the problem of fake accounts with Uber Eats it raises a concern. The big problem was the food was left open in the bag, nothing sealed. The driver could of tampered with the food. Especially as it was a different driver then on the app. Final comment... IMMERGRATION !!!

Orderd for takeaway and can say the food is A* lots of flavor all fresh not dry or pepperd in salt. All arrived hot One of the best i have had in a while. Very tasty stuff 👍🏻

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and were delighted with our meal! Delicious food, generous portions, charming waitress. I rarely have reason to travel to Dagenham East but I think I would return again simply to enjoy lunch at this wonderful cafe! Vegetarian moussaka is outstanding! The cafe was busy with inside dining and take away meals. Obviously very popular - and it deserves to be popular!

Excellent food! I really appreciate the service and 1 big surprise for me was that I drunk from glasses made in Bulgaria. Thank you I will visit the restaurant again if I can while I am in London.

AVOID OVER PRICED- I got Alis plater on Saturday night! The portion size was small and there was no hummus with the bread. Also I spent £35 and they only gave 1 chilly and 1 garlic, I was then charged extra for 1 more chilly sauce (£50p). I have had Turkish from many different restaurants and always get extra sauce and big portions. I am new to the area and never ordering from them again I would rather drive to Ilford sultan for bigger portion and lot cheaper.

I have ordered from Ali's many times in the past since it opened and have always enjoyed the food. However, my most recent order the family sized platter was a bit dissapointing. The rice smelled off, the meat did not look and taste as good as it used to be, very dry esp the chicken like they were all left overs from the day before.. I had family guests and they hardly touched it. For £80 I feel like I wasted my money because nobody really ate it...will change where I order from now on.

Ali’s grill is local to me. One of the best Turkish grill near to home. I have tried many high end Turkish grill but this place has to be the best. My children have visited Ali’s grill with their father few months ago. My children said” The best chicken ever I tried”. Children can judge good food. Ordered : * Ali’s platter for 2- the lamb and chicken mix- delicious. YUM! The seasoning and cooking is just pure perfection . * chicken wings meal with chips - again Yum. Those wings are just so delicious. * humus with bread- was ok. The chilli sauce - I can eat the whole bottle. Freshly made and delicious A nice small Turkish place. Lovely decor. The waitress on today was so lovely and welcoming and importantly smiling through service. You don’t get that often and it can put you off when you are dining in. Decent price and decent portions . Got to meet the owner - Ali himself . Lovely guy . My husband had a chit chat. 10/10

Ordered Large Lamb shish , chips and Black Forest gateau. £18.90 Got what seemed like a small kebab with probably around 10 bits of small lamb meat in tin foil container with barely anything else in there,then I find no chips ?! Then I discover I have to make my own kebab and that the cake has melted into mush cos they put it directly on top of the kebab foil container then bread on top of that then salad last in bag. No napkins so not at all happy really Nearly £20 and still Hank Marvin 👍🏼

I do not usually write reviews however this is one worth writing. Me and my Family decided to visit Ali’s Kitchen today, as It was my second time eating here (Fairly new). The service provided by our kind waitress, completely forgot to ask for her name but she was wearing a Pink top and Sliders, Tall and Slim. The service provided by herself to my family and my mother was one like no other. The food is delicious and compared to many other Turkish places i’ve been to before moving to the Dagenham area, the platters here are extremely generous and filling. We were served quickly, and our waiter was so happy and jolly. Something you don’t see much these days, this made the experience just that bit better. She gave my mother a extra at the end on the house which my mum really liked at Ali’s, can’t recall what side it was, but we were so pleased with our experience here today at Ali’s 01/10/23 - Workers here are so patient and respectful especially when serving you. Well done Ali’s it is a thumbs up from us 👍🏻. This is the reason customers and myself will continue to return at your establishment. Wishing much more success for this business.

I have bought the platters numerous times from Ali's Kitchen. Excellent food with the meat cooked to perfection. The cold mezes are brilliant also. I definitely recommend this place.

Just had my take away from Ali's after long day at work. Big portion of chicken doner, salad, bread and two sauces. All tasty and fresh. There are also variety of shish and desserts available.
