This is for a 3 star hotel! Firstly, this is the best 3 star hotel you will find as a whole. The service from staff is amazing. Vegetarian option breakfast, including sausages and more. We arrived at 12:30am from Birmingham Airport as a flight was cancelled and we managed to get onto another flight. Short story....£203.90 later for taxi fare, we arrived. It was the piece of the puzzle needed in our 24 hour ordeal. It's a must try.

I stopped here as a friend was staying in the hotel for new year's eve, I live full time in a camper. I popped in and asked if I was ok to park in their car park to which they were more than welcoming for me to stay for free 💗 Roaminrob - YouTube 🤙

My father, son and myself had Xmas day lunch 2024. There was a really nice festive ambiance throughout. The staff were very attentive and professional, the food was excellent and the magician was brilliant! We would highly recommend the Alma Lodge for any occasion.

Attended a Xmas party for disabled friends. It was held in a function room - the Regis Suite - at the back of the hotel. Although there was plenty of parking, none were especially suitable for getting my disabled friend from the car to her wheelchair. As I'm sure others struggled too. Also there was a lip to get the wheelchair over at the ornamental gates. The room itself was nice & airy, the food was nice, service & staff were lovely, toilets were a little jaded. We had a good time, but perhaps a little more thought could be given to the parking around the back.

Me and my 2 girls are currently staying here and we love it !! Staff are so helpful and friendly, rooms are lovely ! Hotel is super clean and dressed beautifully for Christmas! We had the breakfast this morning and we all thought it was amazing wide selection great prices. Thank you alma lodge !

Had my engagement party in August. The room was lovely but the staff were amazing. Faye in particular was able to accommodate all of our needs. Would recommend to everyone and cannot wait to book with them again.

Went to a function didn't stay. Not been here for years could do wilt a refurb, food was fine bar was limited.

Great and helpful reception, came fir a business breakfast meeting and the hotel was immaculate no dirt in sight toilets really clean. Staff reception very helpful ! Would happily come back

Art bed after a long journey . Cannot fault this hotel. Just in time for the Sunday menu and my meal was beautiful to look at and to taste too. The staff managed food allergy too . Thankyou. . The staff are very approachable, helpful and professional. Easy parking, room has all to hand including iron and ironing board. Looking forward to breakfast. We will be back to stay as we come for appointments every 6 weeks.

A reasonable stay here, a bunch of is were working in the area, my room was ok, TV was quite small, the WiFi was good though. They clean your room upon request by putting a notice on the door. The staff were nice especially Ellie. The beer was not so good, I think they should clean their beer lines. The location was pretty good, local eateries nearby. Car park was safe. Sleep quality was good, so was the breakfast.

We were extremely fortunate to secure the Alma Lodge as the venue for my daughter's wedding reception because the hotel I had placed my booking with let us down with only two weeks to go to the day. Faye the General Manager was amazing. She sat down with me and within minutes everything was arranged. We were only a small party of immediate family which may have worked in our favour, but never the less I am so grateful to Faye for her kindness and understanding. We were able to use part of Henderson's Restaurant with room dividers making the venue a secluded and cosy space just for us. We were able to decorate our part of the restaurant with creative assistance from the staff working on that day under the supervision of Daniel, who did a wonderful job of achieving exactly what my daughter and I had hoped for. I couldn't have asked for better. They did a wonderful job even though the day turned into an extremely busy one for all the staff with other events calling for their attention. We had a lovely time and even the guests with limited mobility managed successfully. We were a small party but our event was very important to us and the Alma Lodge provided us with an event to be proud of even at such short notice. I shall always be grateful for the response and consideration they gave us.

I would 100% recommend Alma Lodge. Great value and also great staff. Elli in front of house was super friendly and she also handled the front like a boss.. running the hotel reception and the hotel bar like an absolute pro! Thank you!

My son and his Fiancee had to change venues for their wedding at short notice and found Alma Lodge Hotel. "The stars aligned for them that day!" Alma Lodge stepped in last minute and were excellent! All the staff were warm, approachable and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. A massive thank you to all the staff but special thanks to Faye, Omid and Daniel for looking after us so well. I believe it's an independent hotel and it shows that the staff care and make every effort to make everything as enjoyable as possible. The food was superb too. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Thank you for helping to make Paul and Katie's day so memorable. It was a perfect day!

Have stayed here once before also. 1 night stay, clean room with usual hotel amenities, comfortable bed, bath in bathroom (bonus!), quiet in rooms, car park out front with plenty of parking (and cameras watching over the cars). Well stocked bar including snacks and restaurant on site also offering a selection of well portioned meals, friendly and helpful employees. There was a wedding happening in the hotel the night I stayed but you didn't really notice it. Had breakfast included with booking but left early so didn't sample that on this occasion. Would happily stay here a third time when passing through.

My husband and I had our wedding at the hotel in the Regis suite. We had to cancel our original venue 5 weeks before which was immensely stressful but the Alma Lodge were able to accommodate us at such short notice. The venue was amazing and the food was incredible. My mum stayed with me at the hotel the night prior and my husband and I the night of, plus many of our guests. All of our guests complimented the venue itself, the food and the staff couldn't do enough for us. I was able to get ready with my bridal party in their beautiful bridal suite. All the staff were incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding, the night prior when we were decorating and the day of the wedding and were there for everything we needed. They took care of everything throughout and were so kind in their comments to myself, husband, family and guests. I would 100% recommend the Alma Lodge to anyone wanting to hold an event or staying there. Thank you so much to all the staff, you helped give us the wedding of our dreams 😊

We were attending a wake at Alma Lodge, the room was perfect. Very calm, clean and managed brilliantly by staff. Food was lovely and displayed well. The event manager on the day (8/08/2024) could not have been more helpful and personable. My daughter has significant allergies and he went out of his way to speak to the chef and coordinate some food for her. This meant so much to us as a family who often struggle eating out at places together. It was a perfect venue for a calm and relaxed wake and the staff were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond. Thank you

A big and tidy room, the shower is a challenge. Good for a quick stay. Full English breakfast.

I can't comment on the rooms because I was here for a funeral wake. It's a nice place. From entering the door it appears very well looked after. We used the large room at the back and it too was nice. Decent bars and staff. A buffet was supplied which was very neatly displayed. Food was good quality. All in all a decent place.

Very nice place for Mothers Day afternoon tea

2 night stay in March 2024. The rooms are very clean and relatively spacious, comfortable. The service/staff is very caring. Big strong point: breakfast. Fresh and varied products.

Very tired rooms and heating on bonkers timing so cold in the evening. ( it’s came on at 11 pm and stayed on overnight.)

Just arrived at last minute for lunch, was pleased that Henderson’s restaurant had a table free. Service excellent. Food excellent, lovely presentation, good menu. Perfect…lovely fresh mushrooms and prawns for starters, excellent Sunday roast with huge Yorkshire pudding, tasty Pork Belly and great fresh Fish and Chips. Used to come here when it was an Italian restaurant, not been for a while but will certainly come back again soon. Thanks.

Staff are lovely, but training facility food and refreshments are so basic and poor.

I have programmed this place into my sat nav. Will be staying here in the future when passing through Stockport. Clean, and comfortable rooms with polite friendly staff.
