Good place to eat. Food was delicious. Menue is limited but the quality of food was great. Also no onions used which duited my wifes allergy

We struggled to eat out in Ventnor as vegans. Amacord only opens Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We had a vegan pizza where you can choose any 3 toppings plus vegan cheese. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. The staff were helpful and service good. The decor was a little odd tbh and the height of mirrors in the mens toilet cubicle was bizarre. Anyway I would definitely recommend asthenosphere pizza was delicious.

Decor very pleasant and the service was OK. However, the food was really not, shocking how an Italian restaurant can serve soggy pizza. And be warned, don’t dare pass comment or you might get confronted by an angry chef/owner!

We reserved a table and arrived at the restaurant on time, only to be left standing inside the doorway, totally ignored by the staff. The owner arrived and brushed past us, also ignoring us but directed someone to attend to us. In spite of booking we had to wait for a table and we then ordered a bottle of wine and our main courses: the wine came immediately but we had to wait just over an hour for our food. Our requests for an update on the progress of our food were greeted with total indifference. The seafood linguine was marvellous but the pizza was soggy, oily and unpleasantly stretchy. Looking forward to a nice Italian dessert, perhaps a tiramisu, there were only brownies on offer. Rather poor. The restaurant was busy but I think because it's the only sit-down pizza restaurant in Ventnor . . . however there's a small take away pizza that makes far better pizzas, cheaper and they treat their clients better. Go there.

This could be a wonderful little place but the service massively lets it down. We came for dinner, spent about two hours here (which in itself is unusual, as we're pretty quick diners) and had one drink the whole time. Empty bottles left on our table for the duration of the meal, had to ask for table water to be brought over. We had to ask for service each time we needed something. Our empty plates sat in front of us for 45+ minutes. Took over half an hour for one cocktail to be made, by which point, we had had enough and already had our coats on to leave. Never experienced such inattentiveness, and they can't even use being busy as an excuse, because the serving staff were stood around the bar area chatting or on their phones most of the evening. Some of the food was great. Some not so much. Avoid the pork belly Mac and cheese unless you enjoy eating lumps of fat. Avoid the bruschetta unless all you want to taste is garlic. And don't bother ordering the funghi chicken if you're hungry - it comes with 3 new potatoes. When we paid the bill, they didn't want to hear about how unhappy we were with the service. I emailed to feed back our experience, expecting that they would be happy to have a chance to rectify, but they just didn't bother to respond. Used to love this place but we certainly won't be returning.

We've been here many times. It's conveniently located and usually very reliable in terms of food and service. This time it was a disaster. Saturday night and staff pretty much equalled the number of customers (4 tables). Despite this, service was lacklustre and seemed to be a side distraction from whatever else the waiters were doing. 3 pizzas and one pasta dish arrived but all 4 were lukewarm. The pasta was almost cold so was sent back once we managed to get a waiters attention again. We were so disappointed we made a point in saying afterwards it really wasn't good enough and at that point had one dish deducted from the bill. This isn't the point of course, you go out to eat and enjoy your meal, not to have a discount. We felt the place was sadly neglected and staff totally disinterested. Very sad for a chain that has always been so good in the past.

Brilliant pizzas & service. We had a pizza each, including a spicy pizza off the specials board that was recommended by the waitress. They even fulfilled my request for one of the pizza’s to be extra crisp! The pizzas were the best I have ever had. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

We had a lovely meal here whilst holidaying nearby in Ventnor. My partner had the famous ‘life changing lasagne’ and I had the fillet steak - that was perfectly cooked! We only wish we’d had room for dessert. The staff were very warm and welcoming and we’d definitely visit again if in the area.
