An absolutely beautiful place. Happen to stumble across it as off main street. The owner and staff were amazing couldn't be more friendly or helpful. The menu was plentiful and lots to choose from. The food was very fresh and tasty and lots of it. The price was really good for what we ordered. The staff were efficient, informative and really enjoyed chatting to us. We would definitely recommend this little gem of a coffee shop and will definitely be returning. From the Evans family. ( The ones you gave the times for the air fryer to. ) 👍😁

The hot chocolate was quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had. They make it with a mix of milk & water, I assume in an attempt to save money, resulting in a very watery chocolate drink which is vile. Hot chocolate should be made with 100% milk to give it the right texture & froth. Using water is a cardinal sin! I requested a refund and, to their credit, they obliged with no questions and apologised for the fact that I didn’t like it. However, I really hope they make it properly in future as watery hot chocolate is awful and not what people expect when they order a hot chocolate. On a positive note, all staff members were cheerful and polite and my husband said his flat white was really nice!!

Hubby and I loved this quant coffee shop with excellent customer service! After our walk to and from Lower Slaughter, we stopped in for a small bite. We were immediately greeted by Carly, one of the owners. I had wanted traditional English tea and this did not disappoint. The scone and the tea were a wonderful and relaxing small bite. Hubby had the falafel meal. It was delicious, excellent flavors and presentation. The shoppe has a very chill ambiance, and was just what we needed after a lovely country hike. What makes this extra special is the level of customer service that Carly and husband Ruben provided. Ruben is the chef and stopped by our table to ask if everything was ok...and it was. This is a relaxing and delicious place with top notch owners who are clearly committed to excellent service, and for this reason I recommend you stop in!

The café was recommended to me when I asked someone in a shop for suggestions for somewhere to have lunch. It's not on the main high street, but easy to find. I'm gluten free so it was a real treat to be able to order a gluten free tuna melt panini, which came with a small salad. Beautiful café, lovely atmosphere and very friendly owner. I came to visit Burton on water as a family day out but it was cut short due to hostility and racism we faced from the owner herself. We ordered teas but unfortunately they were cold, towards the end the waitress asked for our opinions so we told her that the teas were in cold as a casual feedback. We were met with much hostility as the owner dismissed our feedback and insinuated that we would leave without paying for an additional milkshake when we had no such intention. Bear in mind we had already paid for the teas we ordered. As we went in to pay for the milkshake we told the owner we were unhappy with the patronising tone and hostile behaviour she displayed. She quickly became very aggressive along side her coworker who told us to get out. As I was leaving the shop the owner pushed the door on me whilst i was standing in the doorway about to leave, the door hit my foot and if my brother was not there I would have fallen head first. Throughly disappointed with the unprofessionalism and physical assault I endured at the hands of the owner herself.

Decided to visit this coffee house after driving to burton on the water from Bristol and became dumbfounded by the unprofessional acts displayed in this establishment !! We were blatantly treated differently due to being people of colour - a member of staff asked if everything was okay and my father responded with the tea was cold and if we could ORDER another pot - ( not receive one complimentary ). The staff member proceeded to say she will speak to the manager inside as the tea should not have been cold and came out with hot water. My father said we would just like to order another pot of tea and if they could ensure It was hot. The manager / owner proceeded to come out and became very hostile with us and attempted to insinuate we would leave without paying our remaining bill ( we had already payed for £35 worth of drinks and scones - only a milkshake outstanding due to ordering it later) and accused us of trying to gain a “freebie” her referring to a pot of tea as a “freebie” is a joke within itself. We were made to feel embarrassed in front of the other customers who may I add, were treated at a much higher regard than ourselves. Disgusting comments were made by the unprofessional owner. We decided to still enjoy the remainder of our drinks. I went to go pay for the milkshake that the owner had insinuated we were trying to steal. As we came to paying she then made another remark about the milkshake - my mother advised her that remarks should not be made to paying customers and it was very embarrassing for us to be spoken to and treated so differently. She again became very hostile and defensive as well as her staff member who tried to become hostile with my younger sister - she came around the till to address and intimidate her !!! It was a blatant discriminatory act which my mother raised - her response was “I have loads of black friends laughing with the other staff member mocking my mothers distress” she made multiple attempts to physically move my mother and even slammed the door on my sisters foot! They are very aggressive and hostile and can not accept feedback !.

We've had afternoon teas in posh hotels in Cheltenham and the New Forest before, but this was the best ever. We booked it to celebrate the King's Coronation - and it was absolutely delicious. We were a fussy trio - I don't like fish, my wife's vegetarian and our neighbour who came with us is gluten-free, but that didn't fase them one iota. The sandwiches were filling and wholesome, the scones were nice and soft and the cake was out of this world. We couldn't actually finish it so were given "boxes" to take it home. We had all the time in the world to eat it as well, so made for a relaxing afternoon. It was obvious when eating that this had all been freshly prepared - and the presentation was superb. Carly, Rueben and the girls are always so pleasant even when busy - it's always full of laughter which makes for happy staff and happy staff = happy customers. It's our favourite cafe to go to not only in our village, but we always compare other cafes with L'Amore when travelling across the UK - and none match.

At one point, when it was raining, they even suggested we may like to move to another table where we'd be better protected from the rain. The food and coffees (lattes) were also great and I'd highly recommend this coffee house to anyone visiting Bourton-on-the-Water.

The manager here is one of the most rude , arrogant , condescending people I’ve ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting. We sat down to look at the menu while my daughter went to the loo, but quickly decided it was overpriced (£8 for soup) , and to be honest, it didn’t have a nice feel about the place.. we made our excuses to leave, at which point we were accused of just going in to use the toilet.. so I decided to be honest and gave my opinion the the prices were too high, at which point I was told i should have gone in if we couldn’t afford it.!!!!! then was asked to pay for the toilet roll... UNBELIEVABLE... this woman’s customer service skills leave a lot to be desired.. the boutique next door is run by her mother, which also ended up losing out on our business.... it was our first time to this lovely village, and will most definitely be back.. but as to you can guess, won’t be returning here, and would urge others to spend there money elsewhere.

Nice little lunch out whilst in Bourton, there were two of us and we enjoyed a panini and some tea between us. Expect to pay around £18-24 in total. Seating inside is limited though there is space outside on tables if the weather holds up.

I booked a table at the café for an afternoon tea for my mum’s 60th birthday after seeing the good reviews on Tripadvisor, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious, and Carly and her team were so friendly and welcoming. The little touches (glittery table cloth with “happy birthday” confetti, candle in one of the brownies and singing happy birthday) were so unexpected and thoughtful! I’ve had a lot of afternoon teas before, some of which were double the price, but this was without a doubt the best afternoon tea than any of us have tasted. Delicious warm scones, gooey brownies, HUGE slices of cake, chocolate treats and homemade sandwiches with yummy fillings. There are a lot of cafés in Bourton-on-the-Water, but I highly recommend you choose to visit A’Moore Coffee House when you come to visit. You can tell that Carly has put so much love into everything she makes and it made my mum’s 60th birthday extra special. We will definitely be returning!

Visitamos la cafetería A'Moore el peor día del año, ¡durante la tormenta Alex! El personal fue muy amable y nos quedamos por más de 2 horas comenzando con café, seguido de almuerzo, seguido de pastel y más café. ! El distanciamiento social era bueno y el personal usaba viseras.

Our welcome was a little ‘Luke warm’ as the staff both looked at one another, as though reluctant to be the one to serve us! The young lady who took us up to our table with the menus was quite sullen and we found that quite disconcerting! We asked for clarity with the menu and the young man serving us was very polite and engaging. The meal was sublime and there are many descriptors that I could use, but I’ll stick with that one. The wine was perfectly chilled and very flattering. We were given the appropriate attention and neither felt rushed or neglected and whiled away almost 3 hours. We were very happy with the choice of restaurant for the evening and were really impressed with the Menu and the outcome of our selections. Thank you. We would definitely recommend your restaurant for its food and ambience and hospitality shown by the very attentive waiter.

One of my favourite places to pop into, I really recommend it! However the opening hours seem to change day by day, and it can be frustrating when you’ve factored a visit into your plans, for the cafe to then be closed or closing at odd and very early times. The published opening hours are not reliable.

Had a fantastic cake and coffee, sitting outside the bakers. The portion was very sizable and the quality outstanding.
