I almost never leave reviews, but after a truly delicious brunch at Antipodea, I felt I simply had to share. The food was genuinely excellent—seriously, hats off to the kitchen. But then the bill arrived, and my jaw nearly hit the table. For context: we had one meal each—essentially avocado on toast, salmon and eggs on toast, and our daughter had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. We added a side of mushrooms and a side of tomatoes (yes, those brunch staples that are usually included but here come at an extra cost). We also had a juice each—no coffee, no tea, nothing fancy. And no alcohol. The total? £84. EIGHTY-FOUR POUNDS. Yes it was the nicest brunch I’ve had in a while (thank god otherwise I’d be seriously miffed), but due to the exorbitant prices this would be a once a year treat for us as opposed to an every other Sunday gig, which is such a shame as I’m local and would love to go more but these insanely high prices and then the additional 15% service charge make that extremely unappealing/impossible.

I recently completed a two-month stint at this restaurant. Unfortunately, during my time there, I encountered issues with late payment, with delays extending over a week in the first month and two weeks into the second. My attempts to contact them have been met with silence. However, I must commend the dedicated staff who consistently delivered excellent food despite limited resources. While the restaurant upholds public health and quality products as core values, my experience behind the scenes revealed inconsistencies in meeting these standards.

Delicious food, great service! Only had to wait 30 min for walk in.

We went to Gaucho Richmond for the two course winter set lunch menu. We tried the beef tacos and prawn chicharrons for starters and the rump steaks for mains. We also got a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary which was lovely. Our whole experience from the time we got there until the end was outstanding. Our server Anton was friendly, polite and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will return soon

Me and my partner celebrated the New Years eve here at the end of 2024. There was a set menu that we had to choose from. For the starters I chose the burrata and my girlfriend ate the duck salad which was were both very tasty. The disappoint for me was the mushroom spaghetti. It had no flavour at all and I did not eat all of it. My partner enjoyed her Seabass with the truffle chips. The dessert may have saved the day as the chocolate dome was divine. The server was not that great as she at many times forgot to bring the forks and knives with the dish . I think she was a temporary server and was not very familiar with the menu too.I may visit the Ivy again in the future as on days like New Years they cannot be at its best. The Ambience is very 1920's and worth a visit if your in Richmond.
