Aroma of Wilmslow in Cheshire East

The food from Aroma is always outstanding. The Massala sauce is the best in the World!! And the chicken tikka is cooked to perfection. The staff are extremely professional and friendly. We have been eating Aroma’s food every week for the last 2 and 1/2 years and I would strongly recommend them. Thank you, Aroma!!

Aroma has to be the best takeaway in Wilmslow, it caters for all diets - as me and my Mother are veggies and their veggie options are amazing! Very fairly priced, friendly experienced staff and overall the main Cheff really knows his cuisine. I have lived in an Indian temple, travelled around Sri Lanka and have eaten more curries at the age of 28 than I count, possibly over 1,000 curries and this is now one of my new favourite places to eat. I’ve tried Aroma a few times - the food is delicious, fresh and always served piping hot. I tried the tandoori mixed grill, garlic naan, biryani and chicken jalfrezi which were fresh and full of flavour. Portion sizes are always very generous too. Customer service is brilliant and the staff are friendly and always take time to listen to my order carefully. One of the best curries I’ve had and the price is decent too - why go anywhere else? Aroma Wilmslow is now my go to place when I want Indian food. Seriously give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!

Me and my family recently moved to Wilmslow and we’ve always loved the Indian cuisine The service was excellent and all the staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and excellent value for money all in one it was a wonderful evening from aroma me and my family loved it . was going to order from here today like i have been for a few months now and today it has come up that my address is outside their delivery area??? because of this I wont be ordering again.

I ordered as the leaflet was glossy and the award seemed convincing enough What I found was the Tandoori chicken starter was dry and that dry I was unable to keep eating - the main which was a chicken jalfrezi was terrible - the sauce itself was rich and lovely and spicy to my liking but the chicken within was disgusting - fatty meat - unable to chew through it - I’m feeling sickly just thinking about the chicken - hence it ruined the whole meal even though the sauce was nice I never leave reviews but I feel that strongly about this episode that I don’t want anyone else to get sucked in by a glossy menu - had I been drunk I’d have probably eaten it but I ordered around 5pm on a Sat eve - try for yourselves but I think I’ll be sticking with Eastern Revive in future and not get turned on by a great menu and phony awards!!!

I'm sorry to share this that happened years ago but finally I feel I can. I loved loved the food, we were regular customers. One evening me and my husband asked one of the guys (I think he was one of the owners) at that time to come in because he had a leaflet for us to sign to nomiante the restraunt for an award ..so we Invited him in whilst I signed it. We were all around the bar table in my home and he put his hand on my bottom and squeezed it. I walked away and told my husband after he had left what he had done! My husband ordered one more time after that and I confronted him. He said he didn't know why he did it and he apologised in front of myself and my husband. I had my justice through his agnololgement. We never ordered again from there. Food is great just be wary ladies. I should have gone to the police but I didn't want to ruin the repretatuon of his buisness. I juat hope he learnt a lesson.

Not a section for delivery but this Is my go to delivery Indian, friendly staff, great food and great price. I usually order 2 meals at a time once a week but was ill last wee so none, had it tonight and wow.. slightly burnt tikka just how I like it and vindaloo sauce was sooooooo rich and tasty puts many restaurants to shame. Have only just moved to the area and have have tried two of the curry houses. The first had pretty darned good! Tonight, however, was exceptional. Really very good indeed! They did forget to pack the onion bhaji but there was absolutely more enough food and exceptionally tasty it was too! A good price, exceptional food.... Get yourself a takeaway and give it a go.

Tried again after a few years and was very impressed with the meals, the food was excellent and having it delivered was a major plus, definitely be going again.

We have ordered many times over the last couple of years and has always been really nice. Ordered tonight and lamb tikka starter and lamb tikka balti were not edible. The lamb really smelled horrible and you could tell it had gone off straight away. Luckily didn’t eat very much but would have made us very ill if we had. Paid for poppidoms and were not delivered either. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from this takeaway again.

Really nice guy at the counter, I ordered just a chicken tikka kebab and it was ready in minutes. Really tasty, nice chicken, would definitely recommend.

Best take out Indian in Wilmslow

Great samosas - nicest pastry I’ve had to date. The husband loves ordering his “Indian” from here. Just a tip though to tell them the level of spice you want in your curry else it might be too spicy!

Have now had two banquets delivered for group of friends. The menu is huge and the food is truly delicious. All my friends loved the selection and portions were very generous. I would highly recommend this business

Great food, consistent quality. We have used Aroma for over eight years and it never disappoints. We order and go for a drink in the local wine bar as food is done fresh. Keep up the good work guys !! Don't be tempted to cut corners as we have experienced this with other places - customers do notice.

Food turned up 2 hours late!!! Eventually the order was delivered and we were told that next time we ordered we would have 25% discount. Ordered again this week but they refused to accept that they would give us 25% off. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! Pointless having awards of your customer service is shocking. Won't be returning

Always order from Aroma for a take out curry. They never let me down. The quality of the ingredients and price makes it the best curry take away in Wilmslow.

I ordered a delivery last Saturday for the family and first off was surprised by the variety of the menu. We found something on the menu for everyone and when it came, it was on time, nice and hot and everyone loved it! The customer service was great too, from the person on the phone to the delivery driver. Would highly recommend.

Food great but business has changed from a good website to a new one which is no where as good but biggest issue no secure payment eg PayPal Apple Pay amazon pay guys don’t fix what wasn’t broke

Dreadful Ordered take away and told a 45 minute delivery time. An hour later still no sign. Called to be told it would be another 20 minutes as they were running late. No apology, no attempt to keep updated despite having phone number. Eventually arrived and hour and a half after ordering. Food was mediocre at best. Shall never use again

Ordered a take away at 17.30 and given a delivery time of 45 minutes An hour later still no sign and so I called to be told it would be another half an hour - no apology Explained that I would have expected a text to keep me updated with an apology and perhaps an offer of complimentary popadoms to which the reply was “We can’t do anything - no compensation - we’re busy” Food eventually arrived, a total of an hour and a half after ordering. It was average to say the least. Certainly shall never order from here again. How they won an award is beyond me

My first choice nowadays . Many others either too expensive or produce a poor meal , lacking flavour or too much salt etc . Aroma has got it right . Reliable , great flavours , original menu . Very reasonable . Hard working and polite staff .

We've always ordered from Chutney Masala and Eastern Revive but I'm so glad we have discovered Aroma to add to the mix. The veggie options are amazing, the sauces are thick and full of flavour. Best Indian/Bangladeshi food in Wilmslow/Alderley/Handforth! Great customer service, delicious food, punctual delivery’s, very decently priced food - highly recommend.

We’ve lived here a long time and tried and tested the lot... repeatedly! This place shouldn’t have one bad review! Aroma absolutely destroys all of their competitors in every aspect: food, prices and customer service are all second to none. Whether you walk in or phone them; you always feel welcome (unlike some of their competitors) but most of all the food is delicious - highly recommended!

I live in Aberdeen, Scotland where supermarkets are open on Sunday. I ordered a Chicken Biryani, because I wanted something inexpensive with rice. I was surprised to be asked what sauce did I want with it, and that it would be dry without a sauce. After a glance at the menu, I ordered Rogan Josh. All together this came to £6.90 The meal came in two containers and there was probably enough for two people. On top of the larger container with Chicken Biryani was a plain omelette. I have never seen this before. The Rogan Josh sauce contained large vegetables. I will recommend to my friend who lives locally.

By far the best Indian in wilmslow. But the past few times we have ordered the timing of delivery has been absolutely awful!! Said 90 minutes at time of order which would be fine. But both have taken 2.15/2.30 in total which then are starving by and kids going mental If you put realistic timescales on your website when ordering it would stop a lot of complaints as people would order else where. Please change your system to be realistic. The food is great but delivery is terrible and makes for disgruntled returning customers

We went for a delivery takeaway in January 2020 for a change from Barinda. Sadly it just wasn't up to scratch compared to said previous restaurant and takeaway. There was a lot of sauce and not very much meat for my partners two dishes. My dish was the coconut delight with tikka chicken, the meat was fine but the coconut sauce was tasteless. Wish i'd tried a Bhuna or Sagg dish. Shame.

Ordered two takeaway king prawn curries for my wife and myself (tikka masala and special aroma) plus mushroom rice and sides Food tastes fine but 3 king prawns per meal feels stingy and less than great value Appreciate times are hard but three is not great 😌

Hands down one of the best takeaways I've had. We order on a weekly basis at the minute & I have to say, if this was a restaurant we'd visit in a heartbeat. To give this any less than 5 stars is borderline criminal. Aroma is authentic, tasty and always well prepared. Thank you for giving wilmslow the takeaway it needs in and amongst lots of extremely average and overpriced alternatives. Bonus it's actually got a proper kick to it as well 👍

I try to get a takeaway here once a week . Their food is definately top quality and worth the wait . They say good things are worth waiting for . Over 4 years never had a complaint whatever we get . Just give it a try and you'll see how good their chef and his cooks can produce quality food .

Spent £36.00 and still no salad with samosa's.

Three words. Too Much Salt. Flavours and customer service great but it is rammed with unhealthy amounts of salt. Can still sense the salt hours after eating.

Great takeaway. Food I ordered tasted great, only drawback was a slightly delayed arrival of my food, which the quality of the food made up for. Otherwise, great overall.

I have used aroma for five years now and they have certainly not changed hands or ownership. They are polite, timely delivery, and the food is always amazing. They exceed the standard of most other local takeaways and you don’t win excellent awards for nothing! I just wish they would open a restaurant!

Normally get takeaway from here a couple of times a month, always brilliant. The family have varied tastes meat eaters, vegetarians, spicy, not spicy, everything is good. I like the lamb Afghani or Nepali. Must have Tarka Dhal.

Best Indian take away in wilmslow

The curry was beautiful full of flavour, i can't fault it, the rice too. However the nann was hard and the chips after several minutes dried up and were not very nice, shame really.

For the first time in 30 years I’ve been persuaded to obtain my Sunday night Indian take out from this establishment. To my surprise the food is all cooked in full vision of the public and the staff were so happy, friendly, meticulously clean and ready to help.. the end result was a very cheap and very tasty curry. It was absolutely gorgeous and a huge portion too!! This is my take out from now on! Try them!!

It’s good... it’s a curry and it’s a good curry. Always collect so can’t comment on delivery. I order... 30 mins later I collect and always enjoy a flavourful curry.

We had Aroma provide outside catering for our daughters First Birthday party for the adults and the food and service was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t fault them at all. The food options and quantity was perfect. Mohammed the Head Chef was so attentive and very helpful in the planning of the event and we just left them to it. Our guests raved about the food, I would recommend Aroma for outside catering (& take away) to anyone.

Possibly one of the worst take-away meals I have ever had, ordered online and was 15 mins late, and substituted naan bread with popadoms, the meat was so tough I couldn't cut with a knife, I will never go back!

I was looking for a nice Indian takeaway and received a deceiving leaflet through my postbox and I was looking forward to try aroma. I ordered a kebab and biryani. The kebab was like stew on bread and made the bread soggy unfortunately. I could barely find any actual kebab because it was mostly onions and sauce. We were shocked as the description was misleading and didn't say anything about the additions. If I knew my kebab was drenched with sauce, I wouldn't have ordered it. I have an upset stomach and I was looking for a dry kebab and not a lot of sauce on bread. I even requested online to have my sauce separately on the side. Also the biryani I got was described as 'Aroma's Special Biryani' and was said to have almonds, sultanas and saffron rice. There was no trace of any of these things in the biryani. Its a shame because I felt like the chicken and lamb biryani would've been the exact same.

Food from Aroma is excellent every time and has been for a long time. Trying something new from the menu never fails to wow me; Tandoori king prawn, Chicken tikka chilli fry & balti karahi being a few recently ordered.

My husband and I have ordered from Aroma now on countless occasions and it has been perfect every time. They’re second to none. The food is so good, we love ordering from here, I try not to order too much takeout but the quality is excellent anyway. The staff are very polite and the delivery driver is just lovely! 5 stars from us!!

Food is sensational. They offer low fat options for most dishes and all the flavours are consistent. Fresh and passionately made. Good delivery service with patient phone order system which remembers the order you placed last time. Helpful. Delicious fresh food. I never wake up thirsty in the night so no overly salty or rich. As healthy as indian can be.

On average, I order from Aroma around every 4/6 weeks and have done so for the last couple of years. The food is always excellent, very little to complain about on that score.

Fantastic meal tonight. Popped into the Old Dancer a couple of doors away, ordered to be delivered to home an hour later and right on time . Fantastic quality, had the Aroma Special, chicken Tikka Chilli Masala. It was amazing, possibly the best I have ever enjoyed. Pilau rice good too, possibly only needed one between two. What a great place and lovely staff too.

This was my first meal from Arora. We've tried various restaurants in the area, looking for somewhere to be our go to curry house. We've found it in Arora. The food was great and reasonably priced, the staff were super friendly and helpful. All in, a great find which I highly recommend.

really delicious. The best thing about them is they mean it when they say low fat. I have tried a number of dishes without added ghee and low fat. None of them felt like I had sacrificed the taste. The dishes feel clean and guilt free. From other restaurants I wake up in the night dehydrated and uncomfortable. i know their food is freshly made because they are happy to add or miss ingredients. I ordered about 20 times last year . Always good and fast. Delivered with a smile
