Artisan Coffee in Tower Hamlets

I've been coming to Artisan for a year or so, and it has become one of my favorites in the area. The coffee is consistently spot on, and the staff are incredibly friendly. While I've occasionally used the wifi for work, there are other places better suited for that purpose, and I respect and understand their recent guidelines regarding laptop use. I also visit with my partner and/or our 3yr old, and always receive a genuinely warm welcome (and sometimes special treats). Decent people; decent coffee - what else to ask for, thanks team!

Found this really cute coffee shop around Brick Lane that my friends and I were excited to try out. We were all planning on meeting for a coffee and getting some work done on our computers, answering emails, etc. None of us could establish a successful connection with the Wifi. I approached the barista to ask if anyone else was having issues and he said no, and seemed unwilling to be of any help. He seemed put off that I was even inquiring. I went back to sit down and restarted my computer and the wifi, trying to trouble shoot as best as possible, to no avail. A few minutes later I returned to the till with my computer in hand, the barista saw me standing there, no queue behind me, and decides to go and clean up mugs and dishes from around the shop. He eventually returned and asked if I needed any help, and I kindly asked if he could reset the wifi. Unfortunately he refused and was generally really rude and not at all accommodating. Stating that the system "would be down for 20 minutes." Again there were no customers waiting, I was one of five people in the shop, and this seemed like an easy way to improve a customers experience and he was unwilling to help. My two friends and I left quickly after finishing our drinks as there was no way to do any computer work. Luckily we found an even cooler spot down the street called Cafe 1001.
