My weekly Turkish food escape got even better with healthy fish options. I love their charcoal grilled sea bream served with lots of fresh and healthy meze options. Charlie or his father have their own special sauces to make the sea bream even tastier. So don’t forget to ask each of them seperately to get alternative amazing tastes from your sea bream. I try to go on Mondays as the sea bream is at its freshest. Looking forward to my next visit. I am not a big sea bass fan, so I am not the best person to comment on it.

My weekly Turkish food escape from the city since 2002, over 20 years now. Sometimes I drive 45 minutes to eat their home prepared food mostly provided by Charlie (as everyone calls him) and his perfectionist father, a Black Sea man proud of what he is doing. Recently they started accepting Credit Card as well.

We went to Aspendos by accident. Somebody told us the owner charlie had good knowledge about the area and we wanted to locate a place. Charlie was very warm and humble. The food was excellent. They had vegetarian options as well. Had one of the best falafel and hummus here. Keep it up charlie !

Came here with my son for a quick meal after our VR experience next door. We are impressed at the food quality and freshness. Tried the usual mezzo selection and chicken done kebab meal.Very friendly service, comfortable atmosphere and the portions are outstanding. We also got 2 dishes to try on The house! Would not hesitate to come back here again or recommend to anyone.

What can I say... All the positive reviewers likely where drunk. Seriously, there's no other more or less decent place around so I guess in the land of the blind.... It's a kebab shop, it's not great at all. But it's the only place around this place of York way. You're drunk and desperate; you'll be happy as it'll carry you a few hours longer. You are sober and want a good meal; hop on the bus to Kentish Town or Tufnell park (390/393) and go have good food. Otherwise don't bother.

We are regular diners here, and are constantly delighted with the outstanding food quality - always delicious and plentiful. We are more than happy to travel from west London to experience the friendly surroundings and beautifully prepared food. In addition - incredible value for money. Thank you, Aspendo's!

I have been a customer of Aspendos for about 15 years now... They offer a consistently excellent service. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices are great value. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charlie and his team to anyone looking for Mediterranean cuisine. We often visit for company lunches of 12 people or more. The service is always quick. The serving staff are very attentive, they remember our preferences and make our dining experience. I recommend the Sea Bream and Halloumi I’d rate Aspendos as 6/5 if it was an option :)

This place is absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious. The meat is really tender and cooked to perfection. The salad has so much flavour too. Incredible. And at a price you can afford.

If you're going to Pleasance Theatre and need a quick bite before your show, well look no further! Aspendos is the place for you! Clean, friendly and fast service and tasty food. Yes, it might look expensive for a kebab shop, but it's worth it, as portions are generous and food looked and tasted fresh. Would definitely go back.

With its recent face-lift, Aspendos has edged slightly up and away from just the local kebab take-away. The Turkish food is nice, as you'd expect, the portions respectable and the sauces are plentiful. The revamped seating area encourages eating in but most of its business is take-away so the service reflects that. Since there isn't much competition in the area, they do a commendable job as a local kebaberie. My only complaint - if I can call it that - is that the starters that you get before your meal are not nearly as generous as you'd get if you had ventured a few miles to the Turkish-food mecca of London on Green Lanes in Haringey. As a local take-away, and for the price, Aspendos is good value.

Aspendos is the best kebab restaurant and take away we know. The meat is cooked on charcoal. It's top notch food, always fresh, and always delicious. The staff are nice and the service is quick. A great experience all round. We'll be back soon.

Mi compañero es bastante exigente con su comida, pero a él realmente le gustan los pinchos de aquí, carne de buena calidad y un montón de opciones de ensaladas frescas. También me gusta su falafel, muy fresco. Solo he tenido para llevar, así que no puedo comentar sobre el servicio del restaurante, pero la tienda en sí siempre se ve muy limpia, ¡uno de los empleados estaba limpiando los azulejos de las paredes cuando estuve allí por última vez mientras estaban tranquilos! Recomendado.

Its normally not very busy and staff is very friendly.Bit on expensive side as compare to other options but food is good.They have just renovated the place so it looks even more cleaner.Try grill food if possible.

My hotel stopped serving food and the cafe next door closed at 10! So walked there and was really happy to find a most authentic grill. Food was great at a really good price. And they stay open late.

Stopped here at one in the morning on the way home after a trip out of town. It had been recommended by my Greek Cypriot barber (and several of his customers) but I still had low expectations. The food was actually much better than average for kebab shops in North London - and cheap - so my barber was right!

We visit this restaurant regularly & always have an amazing meal. The staff are super friendly & organised. It can get really busy but the guys who run it are totally on top of everything. We don't live that near but it's worth the drive.

If you miss your Mum's cooking and she's Turkish, then check out the lamb shank (when its on) as you won't be disappointed. Cooked with couscous, potatoes and a gorgeous gravy, this is not takeaway food, this is truly tasty and comforting.

I got a chicken kebab at this place, and when I was being served one of the people in the shop said that it was the best kebab in London. I thought this was just a joke, but it was the best kebab I've had so far. The meat was delicious, as was the wrap, and it came with a lot of tasty salad. The service was also very friendly. 10/10 will eat again.

Good quality fresh Turkish food reasonably priced. There's a really good selection of tasty salads available which elevates this place above your average kebab shop. A local gem.

This restaurant is not attempting at all but we want to give it a go after our walk. We had chicken shish which was average nothing special. The place seems clean. We just somehow felt uncomfortable when were dine in. If you are lazy to go to Haringey and live local it might be an option.

Aspendos is one of those fantastic little places that once experienced you'll return to again and again. The service may initially appear a tad brusque but once you get to know the staff they're as friendly as can be. However, it's the remarkably good food that keeps the regulars coming back for more. As soon as you sit down you're presented with a gigantic bowl of appetising hot bread accompanied by a couple of delicious side-dips and that rich Turkish chilli sauce. I always go for their falafel plate which is possibly the best I have ever had and friends who opt for the meat dishes assure me they are equally great. It's a bit off the beaten track but well worth taking that short bus ride up from Camden or Holloway to eat here. I can assure you it will be the first visit of many.

Been there for a quick take away and been served by one of the 2 men there. The one who served us seriously needs to be trained on customer service manners. Clearly misogynous and got confirmation just looking at the way he treated all the other customers which, it happened, were all men. Asked for 2 veggie burgers with salad and only ketchup. Got back with veggie burgers served with ketchup only. One of the burgers had cheese and we asked the man to confirm which of the 2 was the one without. He was surely working without being willing to. We got out and had to get back inside after we opened the burgers. I mean if you run a shop and don't at leat to be kind to your KIND customers, how are you supposed to earn money???

The food there is very good, i been dining there quite often and always coming back when im in the area , fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant .

Just found this place by accident, when walking past on the way from a meeting - was drawn in by the fabulous smells wafting out onto the street - had an excellent meal of kebabs and fresh salads - all at such a reasonable price - would definitely go back again when I'm in the area

The food in this little restaurant tastes amazing. I have been going there for many years and the quality has never faltered. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, however the food more than makes up for this. The meats are perfectly seasoned and moist without being greasy. The salads and couscous are freshly prepared. The staff is very friendly and attentive — they always smile and bring complementary meze when I come in. The prices are great (around £8 per person to be stuffed). I highly recommend this family run place.
