Assam Takeaway in Wiltshire

Visited for a family meal (including young children). The food was excellent and so was the service. And the bill came to a lot less than we were expecting. Thank you Kesar for your food and hospitality. Would very much recommend.

Excellent meal after a recent break at Centre Parcs. Really nice owner who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Food very good and all freshly prepared, would definitely visit again.

Food was lovely but we ate in and it was freezing with no heating on. Shivering is not a great experience when eating in a restaurant.

Friendly service when ordering for delivery. Delivery was quick and food was delicious and hot. Very accommodating and would recommend ordering from here. Portion sizes were huge so very worth while for the money.

My wife and I have just had our first (of many to come) takeaways from Kesar and the food/service was first class. Stunning, delicious Curry packed full of flavour! We will be coming back very soon!

Fantastic service from both takeaway and restaurant experiences. Abdul the manager is one of the nicest chaps you could wish to meet and the service is outstanding, excellent food especially our last takeout. Having tried all of the Indian restaurants in westbury and Warminster kesar is a firm favourite, well worth a try you wont be disappointed.

Food was lovely, wonderfully presented, freshly cooked and tasted amazing. Apart from not having an alcoholic license so bring your own booze the Kesar is well worth trying.

10 of us popped in for dinner at Kesar. Great food and excellent service for great value too.

Food it’s was great the food was really delicious 😋👌 and it was very clean and good quality and for the first time i finished the food on my plate and I would definitely recommendation everyone and staf they are very friendly and I will definitely go back there

Had a take away, it took an hour but DEFINITELY worth the wait . They put in free poppadoms pickle and a drink The portions were great the food was hot and the flavours out of this world , also reasonably priced . Will definitely go back

We had a wonderful meal at Kesar on Wednesday evening 9th March. The food and service were first class well done to the great team there. Next time we are in the area this restaurant will be our first port of call.

Ordered saag aloo and was on fire! It had whole chilli’s in and was too overpowering to eat. Prawn toast was just battered prawns in chilli again. Chicken smelt like fish, wether it was off? Couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed

Kesar's new menu looks incredible which has authentic Indian food along with Indo Chinese food also! Master chef is from India who worked with different Michelin chefs in London. We enjoyed Crab curry, Lamb Shank, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chilli Chicken from Chinese menu, Lamb Chops etc. Staffs are really friendly.We definitely recommend this place.

Just eaten a fabulous takeaway from Kesar. Lots of different things on the menu, good sized portions, the order was ready when we arrived to collect and the food was very tasty. We would definitely recommend and we will use again.

This is best Indian restaurant I ever seen.. When me & my friends went to eat at this restaurant, I liked the food very much😊😊 The behavior of the restaurant staff is very good, they are politely attend every guest.. I suggest you to test this dish Lamb Rogan& Paneer chilli..

Very friendly owner and staff. Accomodating to changes and requests. Most delicious Indian food by far, everything was homemade which is something we rarely find at Indian restaurants. Really enjoyed the homemade non frozen samosa, a rarity. Delicious bhajis and creative cheese starter. Our mains were amazing, I had chicken tikka masala which was brilliant and definitely homemade and unique, better than anywhere else. We enjoyed our meals, we had to wait a bit longer than usual for the mains but we didn't mind as the wait was worth it for the freshly cooked, authentic flavour. Chef came out to say hello and didn't believe his food was a great as we said it was, very humble. Highly recommend it and cannot wait to return . Hope they stay homemade.

The food is amazing! Staff are always polite, helpful and ready to look after you wether eating in or taking out, great restaurant!

The Kesar was lovely, the staff were so welcoming and the food was fab. We particularly enjoyed the modern twists on the starters especially the coriander and lime chicken and the venison shish. The restraunt was happy to alter dishes to our taste, adding spice or making dishes more mild at request. We enjoyed our mains and I am looking forward to seeing where they take the menu in future.

Had a takeaway from here and Saturday night. I have to say that the food is amazing. Its freshly cooked to order so there's a little longer to wait but completely worth it!! Absolute quality and much better than any others I have tried in the past. I will be dining in next time and can't wait to try the biriyani. X

Amazing dishes, great spices and really fresh ingredients. We had the Rogan Josh Lamb, Jhinga Dum, Mangalorean Chicken, Jardaloo Ma Gosht and Chicken Kadhai and lovely starters. But, be prepared to wait between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The waiting time is considerable and understandable as they are a new restaurant. At the moment they were unable to accept card payments but gave us a courtesy sambuca for the inconveniences. Staff is lovely.

The food is always amazing the service is always amazing, never had a complaint with this restaurant over the past 5 years of using them, tonight they went above and beyond , with our niaevity we ordered something different, when it arrived and we questioned it, they were straight back within 5 minutes to explain our meal to us, was totally our misunderstanding, but they were great

The service and collection time was good and efficient. The staff upon collection were welcoming and lovely. Unfortunately the food was terrible. This was the first order we'd made in a long time. We always remembered the Assam for being top quality and delicious. The quality of the ingredients has definitely gone down. The meals selected were either bland and tasteless or too hot. Frozen veg (corrigated carrots) soggy cauliflower and a Dhal nobody could stomach. We spent nearly £70 as the family were having a get together. The best bit was the Poppadoms, chutneys and Naan's. We won't be back.

The food was mainly OK. It seemed not quite up to the usual standard. Some of the chicken was chewy. Some of the sauces seemed a bit lacking in taste.

Have used the assam for years with no complaints. Tonite i was so disappointed with the vegetable curry. Mushrooms & chickpeas added which i am allergic to so couldn’t eat it! It used to have cauliflower & peas which weren’t there & the sauce was non existant. After 6 years i need to change my indian restaurant. Sad times

Had a takeaway meal from here Tonight as staying at Center Parcs for s few days, and after recommendation rang to place order and asked for some item not on the menu, which they cooked for us with no problems. drove into town to collect but they will deliver to center parcs (know for next time )Food was very good tasty and good value, must have being good as I don’t do reviews normally, best Indian meal so far in Warminster will be going back thanks Assam Indian takeaway

ordered a delivery at 6.30 for an 8.00 o’clock delivery food didn’t arrive till 9 the driver didn’t even apologise

Awful food. No flavour. Pilau rice was definitely not pilau, more like plain. Would never return. Nothing had any flavour.

Expensive no rice popodoms cracked Hardley any meat more slosh than meat sauce so small Yardley see it plus side staff member freinds but not worth over fifteen pounds and I had to collect will not use again

There was a problem with the delivery driver and Assam phoned and asked if we had our food to which we said no The food arrived but was Luke warm. We phoned Assam and they sent out a whole new fresh order which was great. We will use Assam again. Very good response!!

Can never fault Assam. This is the only Indian we order from in the Warminster area, we refuse to go anywhere else.

Really good quality food - I had a Tandoori mixed grill, onion bhajis and matar paneer. Too much for 1 person but I LOVE Indian leftovers! Free poppadoms too. Delivery man was polite and punctual.

We had ordered food for 40 people for a private Diwali party organized in trowbridge. being a member of organizing committee, I thank Assam takeaway for everything, everyone enjoyed the food and had only praises, the festival was thoroughly enjoyed. I will recommend this takeaway for their authentic Indian food, and would strongly recommend them for events and parties.
