A lovely little spot in Bridge Street. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and a fabulous menu both for food and a great selection of beer. Quirky decor and a really lovely vibe going on. Clearly a hit with both regulars and visitors alike. Sensible to book on the weekends. Staff are friendly and attentive, providing first class service. We'll definitely be back!

I arrived at 10.02 pm, to be refused service on a Saturday night, due to last orders being 10pm. I didn't question it as there's no point, but the locals had 2 drinks each lined up on the tables 🤷‍♂️

States it’s dog friendly but only for a few. We tried to get in, half the tables were empty but apparently they didn’t have a dog free table so we went to Costa which was great. A shame as it looked nice

My family and I really enjoyed the unique experience of the charcuterie boards. The boards are just the right size and fill you satisfactory. There is also a wide selection of different beers from around the world. Pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere.

When we arrived it was very busy which is good to see. Spoke to the bar person and asked if we could sit anywhere. He politely said there were a lot of bookings but one table wasnt required until about 3pm so we had plenty of time. Service was quick and very polite with a smile, despite it being busy. I’ve read the poor reviews and they do not represent the service we received, or saw being offered to others. The food was excellent and we will certainly go again. Seeing how busy it gets I think we will book next time instead of just turning up.

Just go, you won’t regret it. We live in York city centre, which isn’t exactly shy on bars and eateries, and I wish we had this bar in the city. Great food, great choice, great service, great decor. Thoroughly recommended.

Absolutely our favourite and we come from Sheffield each time to eat here. The staff and food are amazing, we love it. Thanks again for looking after us on Saturday! A platter, a pie and sandwich and was fantastic. Great selection of beers too.

Had an amazing lunch here, staff very accommodating despite being busy and the food selection is incredible. The cheese and meet board went down very well and it was nice to find a Paulaner beer as well! We were recommended the soup, so we will have to be back to try that!

This place has been on my radar for some time, I stay in Berwick with work twice a year and it’s always been packed. I came here tonight and wasn’t disappointed. I had a couple of excellent well kept pints of local ale, a bowl of olives and the steak n ale pie which was chuffin royal. It was actually hard to choose from the menu as all the things in it sounded lush. This is the place to be for good food and atmosphere in Berwick. I’ll be back.

Cannot fault Atelier at all. We went here after reading the reviews on line, and I am so glad we did. I would recommend you book in if you definitely want a table. One the first visit we all had a different flavored pie and they were all delicious. It was nice not to get the normal chips/mash on the side and instead it was served with salad and pickles. You left feeling full but not stuffed. There was a good choice of beers and wines available and these weren't very expensive either in comparison to a lot of restaurants. Service was spot on. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Just popped in for a glass of wine after it had been recommended. Beautiful inside with a lovely ambience. Food was lovely and fresh and reasonably priced.

This is how a restaurant should be, laid back ambience, attentive, friendly staff, excellent food. I had the Vegan platter and the wife had a Vegetarian Raclette, both delicious, with the Vegan platter being the best I have ever tasted and complimented with a bottle of Vegan wine. Went back the next night but it was packed. Should have booked! Whoever owns this restaurant should be proud of what they have created.

Visited for lunch after reading all the amazing reviews on here and my god , what a place we stumbled on , the food , the atmosphere, the staff were all incredible … if you are looking for holiday highlights then look no further .

Good selection of beers but could do with a few more weaker ales. Not every real ale lover wants super strong beers. Food brilliant, atmosphere excellent and slick service from the staff. Great place!

Having read the Tripadvisor reviews of Atelier, we booked and were delighted it exceeded our expections. We were there on a Saturday evening and whilst it was busy, staff were attentive and efficient, serving delicious dishes from the slightly quirky and interesting menu. Recommend without hesitation.

A month after visiting this place I am thinking about it, wishing I could have lunch there again (I live down south). Perfect food, perfect atmosphere, perfect hosts, VERY obvious care for quality. Can’t recommend enough and I hope to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this little gem of a place - we shared a cheeseboard, the manager was very accommodating for my dietary needs. The choice of drinks was excellent. The service was swift, the staff were attentive and very pleasant. It was impeccably clean inside, including the toilet facilities. We will 100% be back!

Stumbled across this lovely quaint place on our travels. Food was so lovely with an extensive menu. They were really lovely in helping us find something completely diary free. Really good beer too. Well worth a visit but recommend you book as we were extremely lucky and managed to get a table as a walk in, but they were turning people away that came in afterwards. Lovely welcoming vibe.

Food drink and service excellent

We recently had our lunch in this lovely little restaurant. Staff very friendly and there was a definite nice vibe to the place. We both enjoyed roasted vegetables, pesto and mozzarella brochetta and was delighted they had some alcohol free choices. We did see folks having platters which looked good. This restaurant definitely has a city feel to it but without the expensive prices. We would definitely return but would say you should book and some parts are dog friendly , a positive for us dog lovers 👍🏼

We have eaten here again 3 nights this week whilst on holiday in Berwick as we always book a table when we know we are visiting as this place is absolutely AMAZING. The food is all fabulous and looks like a work of art when it is served to your table and the staff are all fantastic and on the ball. Superb in every way - atmosphere, service, food quality and timeliness and pricing. Excellent wine list which was not overly expensive. The staff made the difference - friendly, efficient, engaging and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Didn't eat but the food looked great. Beer excellent. Plenty drinks to choose from. Good prices. Helpful, friendly staff. Mostly high bar stools with some lower tables. Book if you want to eat. Can't wait to go back.

First time eating here and we weren't disappointed. Had the seasonal platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. So many delicious 'picky bits' on the board. When we are in Berwick this will definitely be our go to place.

A charming place with delicious food. The Pies are delicious. The mussels are well treated and rich in flavor. And don't forget to try the salmon. Very nice atmosphere and good service.

Can't comment on food but was rudely told there was no tables and then ignored completely. The man behind the bar made no attempt to make us feel welcome or wanted, so won't be eating here.

Had a lovely lunch here with my Mum. Really pleased we found this place. Staff lovely and helpful but not intrusive. Great food and charming decor. If I lived nearer I would be in regularly. Usually I need torturing to give a five star review. They even found a place for my Mum's hat.

We came here today for an early dinner, and wow it was the most enjoyable meal we've had for a while, the food is superb, an eclectic mix of flavours that blend wonderfully. Beers from around the world, wines that compliment the food perfectly. Highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly, the food was very nice and not overly priced, there was a decent selection of beers, including two cask ales and the place was clean and interestingly decorated. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again.

Guy behind the bar was so rude, would not recommend. We didn't get to try the food, when we sat at the bar the guy was very rude so much so we immediately left.

Cute little spot for a chilled evening meal - good drinks selection and the vegan platter was out of the world. The pâté wasn't fresh or local which was a bit of a shame, but other than that it was all perfect.

Further to the experience of other dog owners, we would rate this establishment as 1 star - would have rated zero stars if it was possible. My husband entered the premises and was told that there was a table available for the 2 of us and our small dog. We sat down and our little dog lay quietly under the table, as she always does. The waitress came over a minute afterwards to say that our dog was upsetting some other dogs (even though she was lying quietly under the table) and we were asked to leave. Totally unnecessary and embarrassing. Never in 6yrs has this happened before. Sounds to me as though they don't want dogs in there (even if well behaved). Definitely would not recommend to any dog lovers, as clearly they aren't.

A Mecca. Such an easy place to be, drink beer or wine, and have good food. The charcuterie and cheese boards are a big hit, deservedly so. Even when busy, the service is friendly and welcoming. I love this joint.

If you like tasty food that's not run of the mill, they have very tasty charcouterie and salads with pickles.It's also licenced to sell alcoholic beverages if you're interested. My meal there was cheaper than the one I had at the delicatessen close to Golden Square.

Little gem in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Located very in the town centre however along one of quieter streets. 3 minutes walk from Premier Inn. Neighbouring with The Walls and River Tweed. Seemingly random yet thought through decor. Bit of shabby chique and brik a brac mixed today however it all creates a unique space which instantly make you feel cosy and safe. Eclectic crowd. Busy. Excellent choice of draught beers, wines, artesian beverages plus absolutely delicious food freshly prepared on the premises. Had two small plates, charcuterie board, pint of lager and wine which all was nicely served, fresh and delicious. Small deli too. Nice cakes available. Staff members very attentive and helpful. Wish more places like this were across the UK. Good value for money too!

Was driving through the area and happened to stop here. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, a lovely little buzz, and the food and service were fantastic. A great place to stop for a bite and to savour a little chic in Berwick upon Tweed.

A friend recommended this little place to try as it was supposed to be dog friendly, it turned out it wasn't my little dog barked once and the owner made it plain that we would have to leave if this continued, he wasn't very friendly himself....won't be going back.

Utterly sublime experience. Nothing to fault it

We were on our way to another place to eat but looking through the window this was obvious the place to go. A small place and very popular on a wet Monday evening. There are no full meals available but some great meat and vegetarian plates with intelligently combined ingredients. Service is very quick and friendly.

Booked a week in advance for a table for four, on a weekend away in Berwick. Looking forward to trying the food in this highly rated eatery. Arrived at the alloted time to find there was no booking. After a short interrogation from good cop/bad cop we felt like we were in the wrong. It was clear there was no room at the inn, and whilst some other customers were prepared to give up their seats, this was all wrong. Decided to leave and won't return to nibble their nuts or chomp on their expensive charcuterie....😡😕🌭

This is a great place to eat. We had read very good reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. I would recommend booking a table as it was full even on a n October evening.

Great day with family, highly recommend but would suggest booking in advance. Fantastic sharing platters, good traditional beers. Apparently mussels were good, didn’t have myself but 3 empty pot’s confirmed the taste. Great atmosphere if this place was bigger would take a fortune. Takeaway available, overall just loved it……

We had a great lunch here: excellent cheese/ charcuterie sharing board and an amazing Moroccan lamb pie... good wine selection by the glass too. A quirky interior - traffic light red/ green man lights to signal if the loo is empty!

Amazing pub. Beyond reasonably priced with an amazing beer selection on draught. Amazing, eccentric atmosphere to the pub as well with interesting and unique decor. A hidden gem within Berwick. Well worth a visit if your nearby rather than heading to the chain pubs that are close by.

Second time here with family up to stay after a fabulous experience at a friend's birthday. Didn't disappoint! Food choices delicious. Service takes a little longer but it's definitely worth the wait! Gluten free bread is the best I have had anywhere and good choices for vegan/vegetarian. One of our party had mussels in white wine sauce and said they were 'to die for' and as a result had seconds! Atmosphere a little quieter in the day than in the evening but still a great place to eat with excellent quality food and fantastic service! Quality of staff excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable, very impressed. Continuing to make the best coffee in Berwick!. Will remember photos next time! Thoroughly recommend and will be back (again!).

Lovely little place which serves small plates and platters with a choice of local beers. I had the cheese platter and veg bruschetta and was not disappointed. It is only small though so would recommend you book a table or you might be disappointed.
