Auberge - St Christophers Place in City of London, Westminster

No recent reviews for this place, but have they heard of bleach and limescale remover for the rest rooms? Went for lunch and the food was well below parr. Prices too high and portions meagre. Avoid. The waiter brought me a starter that I hadn't ordered, then replaced it 10 mins later with a borderline inedible salty soup. My husband had already finished his starter. When the main courses arrived, they were both too salty as well. Was the chef angry or just incompetent? They gave us 50% off the bill. All I wanted was a decent lunch and a clean toilet. Not much to ask. It Spoiled my day.

Llegamos alrededor de las 11 de la mañana del domingo, el personal era atento de limpieza antes de la mesa nos sentamos. Yo pedí huevos revueltos y huevos tomates asados mi lento amigo Benedict ambos deliciosos gran vista desde donde nos sentamos y nos dieron té y pasteles para comer en el parque. Encantador para empezar nuestro día!

Este es tan bueno como un Côte como era como pero no pierda el Auberge el dos por uno en patatas fritas.

홍합이랑 감자튀김을 시켰는데 홍합은 크기가 너무 자잘하고 감자도 평범해서...다른 메뉴를 시킬걸 그랬다고 후회했네요. 나쁘지는 않지만 런던에 오시면 다른곳을 추천드립니다

Super accommodating . Late booking for 10 for drinks and got us a private part of bar. Great service and prices good for what your getting . State of the art venue which Is great for food or pre drinks before a night out

Located within St Christophers Place, this restaruant does offer a decent menu, ive had both the Beef and the Moules Frites and they were both tasty.

The Best MOULES MARINIÈRE in London also MAGRET DE CANARD was cooked perfectly!!!! The staff of the restaurant were lovely and helpful. Highly recommended if you would like to have a lunch or dinner at St Christophers place!

Recientemente he cenado en Auberge que fue por casualidad principalmente, un colega me llevó a un pequeño callejón cerca de la calle Oxford, que pasó a ser St. Christophers Place.Optamos por este restaurante y aunque estaba muy ocupado, nos encontramos con cortesía puro y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa.Nuestro camarero era muy atento y también recomendó un poco de vino, que era muy bueno en función de mi colega que es un poco de vino snob. Éramos un grupo de cuatro y la mayoría tenía platos diferentes que venía con los más altos elogios.En general el personal es estupendo y la comida en un lugar encantador que era también libres de tráfico, pruébalo y me atrevería a ser incompleta.

Pretty good food and value compared to some restaurants around this location. It's not amazingly special, but we enjoyed the food and it has a nice atmosphere - tables aren't too crowded together.

Visited here on a really busy Saturday in December. Didn't seek it out but it was a case of 'any port in a storm'. The menu looked good and there was a real buzz in the place. Service was slick and pleasant. I was really looking forward to my goat's cheese salad with roasted peppers as I had a vision of a slice of grilled goat's cheese slightly melted on top of tasty grilled peppers and a bed of rocket. Not so! The goat's cheese was crumbled over my not very exciting salad (probably so they could use less of it) and the peppers were completely bland. I think my husband fared better with the moules mariniere. It filled a hole but was disappointing and I certainly wouldn't seek it out again.

Booked as we had 2 for 1 on mains through national rail , staff didn't understand the offer at first .The duck breast was ordered med rare and came way overcooked , it was taken back and arrive 10-15 mins later , by which time I had finished my "entrecôte" which was as advertised ,Scottish sirloin .. Not entrecôte then . Ordered the bill and I had been charged for swapping the frites for gratin but told of the charge , this was taken off this bill . Not a bit French apart from vague French pointers on the menu

I have to admit that Auberge was a backup plan for another restaurant but I wasn't disappointed! When I arrived I was delivered a cup of tea immediately (excellent considering I hadn't ordered) fortunately for someone else but as soon as I ordered I had my tea within no time at all.I had a duck dish that was fantastic and it was backed up by excellent wine which was given to us at perfect glass empty moments.A little noisy during a busy lunch time before Christmas but all in all very good.A little disappointed how long it took to get a coffee at the end of the meal (I do like a coffee to finish off my meal) however aside from that everything else was spot on.

my sister booked this restaurant in st christophers place for 6 people the starters were good. the mains very good and the sweets good to .the wine selection also good. the service excellent..there is a buzz about the place and you do have to book.we will go back soon.

We went there for our last Christmas Dinner with friends, family and babies (yes, in October... long story) and we had a great time. Even though we were very disorganised and mainly interresting in chatting, the waitresses managed to get our orders and keep smiling. The food was very good too and the beef was cooked as wished by the different persons who oredered it. The mussels were excellent. Excellent service, excellent food; What else do you need?Book at peak times as it can become extremely busy...

Food was nicely cook and present well.Staffs service is very average or can be said be poor.lack of smile from the staff and little communicate is always a negative in any restaurant.Will go back again for the food.

Nonostante le mie tante visite a Londra, non mi era mai capitato di passare per quest’angolino tanto carino e tranquillo, che si trova a soli due passi dalla trafficatissima e rumorosissima Oxford Street e per questo devo ringraziare un’amica che da poco vive a Londra.Il locale è arredato in modo semplice ma allo stesso tempo elegante. Servizio efficiente, camerieri gentili e prezzi onesti.Il menù non è vastissimo ma sicuramente troverete qualcosa di vostro gradimento. Ci è stato consigliato il risotto ai funghi champignons ed io, che sono assai diffidente sui piatti italiani preparati all’estero, devo ammettere che era buonissimo e la porzione abbondante. Magari si poteva evitare di mettere sopra la crème fraiche, ma dopotutto è un ristorante francese. Ottima la bistecca, la carne si scioglieva in bocca. Pensavo che ormai mio figlio fosse grande per il menù dei bambini avendo 9 anni, invece ce l’hanno proposto ed abbiamo accettato. Il menù è scritto su di un grande foglio che poi il bambino può portarsi a casa visto che ci sono giochi e disegni da colorare. Le matite colorate le hanno fornite loro. Ci sono cinque portate principali, tra cui il classico ‘bangers & mash’ (salsicce, fagioli e purè), penne al pomodoro, strisce di pollo impanate con fagioli e patatine , cheese burger con patatine ed infine bastoncini di merluzzo con piselli e patate novelle. Tutte allo stesso onesto prezzo di £3.95 e porzioni anche qui abbondanti, non proprio da bambini, almeno così è stato con il ‘bangers&mash’. Non abbiamo provato i dessert, ma erano molto invitanti. Sarà per la prossima volta, visto che ora che abbiamo scoperto questo posto, torneremo di sicuro.Al momento fra l’altro, è incluso nella lista delle offerte 2x1 (per maggiori dettagli, vi consiglio di guardare sul forum di Londra).

Il ristorante di St Christopher Place fa parte di una catena francese, ma fuori dagli schemi delle grandi catene di ristorazione, si respira un atmosfera rilassata in un ambiente informale, ma di buon livello.Il menù non è molto vasto e, unica nota dolente, sempre lo stesso, però i piatti proposti garantiscono sempre un discreto standard di qualità e prezzi sono assolutamente onesti. Il servizio è efficiente e attento nonostante il locale sia sempre strapieno.

Great food and a nice atmosphere. Staff not the friendliest in London but that is my only complaint. Not too expensive and a good quality of food.

Let me start by saying that Tripadvisor has got the location on their map of this restaurant wrong. The correct postcode is UB8 1LD (not UB8 1GB) and it is situated in the town centre of Uxbridge (The address is still 223 High St though !!!). I hope this makes sense.The restaurant itself is perfectly located in the centre of Uxbridge. It has a great selection of starters (about £6/£7) and main courses (about £13 to £16). The quality of the food was excellent. five of us went and we had between us, both meats (lamb, pork and duck) as well as seafood (mussels). We did not have desserts and the bill with drinks came to £115, so not too bad at all !!!.If staying in or around Uxbridge, as we were (at the Travelodge - separate review submitted), then this is a perfect place to go.
