Azaan Tandoori Takeaway in Rossendale

This takeaway was recommended to us by a few people. Tonight we decided to try it. I ordered the chicken tikka spinach dish and my partner chicken tikka naga. The delivery was on time and was delivered by a friendly driver. Unfortunately after tucking into my first peice of chicken I was very disappointed. It was dry, overcooked and had the consistency of overcooked pork. I pushed that peice aside only to find that all the chicken was the same. Same in both curry's. Had a weird taste to it too. I wouldn't recommend at all.

Just had a takeaway. The Balti Bhuna sauce was really tasty but I really have a problem with the mass of quarter-sized onions that some takeaways decide to chuck into a vegetable curry. I know onions are vegetables but they’re not really ones that you would add to a curry in such high volume! Also, you forgot to put my onion bhajis in which really made me mad.

I went inside to have a look at what all the big fuss was about this place, to my surprise when i walked in all i saw was CLASS! this is the only takeaway in the valley that offers an open kitchen experience which tells me these guys have nothing to hide and the food is all cooked fresh! The inside of this place looks like something you’d find in the city centre, upon arrival i ordered our food and it was all cooked fresh trust me am a big observer and my wife has major OCD issues, the walk in experience was so class and the standards were amazingly high class, the owner who walked in as we were ordering was such a nice guy not to mention the car he was driving was more expensive than our house! He was so nice to talk to and was extremely welcoming even offered us a nice brew. Such a humble guy its lovely to see. We got home eventually and the food was out of this world, just full of flavour! And the portions were really good. I understand why its a little pricier than all the other takeaways, these guys cook nothing but fresh food its not really a fast food experience with all that precooked stuff. But hey we like to spend on our food. Its always quality over quantity Reading a couple other reviews, personally i think they must be competitors trying to discredit such a lovely place because in no way can this place get any less than 5 stars if not it'll be silly folks who prefer to put cheap rubbish down there gobs. We will definitely return thats for sure! If you want a good experience my advice is go down and see for yourself how cool this place is! Thanks Azaan for a lovely lovely meal. ❤️

Our first time using Azaan, and it won't be our last. The set meal for two is a little different to normal choices, having items that you'd usually add like 1/2 Tandoori chicken and a Biriyani. The staff are very friendly, it was being finished as I walked through the door, and the price is excellent. It was a little spicy for my Wife's tastes, but that's personal tastes and didn't stop her finishing hers off. The food is delicious, and lots of it, so much so there's enough for tomorrow's tea! Thank you Azaans and look forward to ordering soon.

Went in to order some tandoori chicken, spoke to the gentlemen on the counter he instantly listen to what i wanted and the chef made a delicious asian style Tandoori dish, the last place i had something similar was actually in India. Cant give these guys enough credit due. The food was AMAZING, the staff were also really nice and welcoming.

Always great and lovely from Azaan. A little more expensive that other takeaways in the area but absolutely gorgeous and tasty food. Delivery driver Alif always friendly and super quick with delivery. Best in the area without a doubt.

Don’t believe the negative reviews! I found this place online a few weeks ago. I have ordered from them four times and will order again tonight. Without exception the food has been superb. It may be (I’m not sure) slightly more expensive than others but it’s great value fit money. I’d pay a lot more in a restaurant and not complain. The delivery drivers have been really friendly and have been reassuring that it didn’t matter when I was unable to give them a tip due to shielding and having no cash. 10 out of 5 stars from me and my family and friends who’ve shared this delightful gastronomy.

I can't see the negative reviews that give this place a 3 Star. The food here is brilliant, as for the staff. They always have a nice chat with you when you come through the door. Highly recommend eating here.

Usually use a different Indian restaurant, but have ordered from Azaan a few time over the years. Mixed feelings, some really tasty well cooked food, tender meat, but the one thing that really lets things down us the Pakora batter which is really thick and stodgy. Similarly, the onion bahjis are very stodgy with batter too, very little onion. May be just our taste, but if we ordered from here again, would avoid anything with batter. Otherwise, good service, came on time and delivery driver very pleasant.

Tried here tonight for the first time! Instantly impressed with delivery only taking 25 minutes! They gave us free onion Bhajis and also our curries were both fresh with nice fresh ingredients and very tasteful dish, big Chucky king prawns cooked to perfection! I will Definitely be returning and I would recommend to anyone.

As above. We only order about three times a year and always New Year's Eve. They are slightly dearer than others but we have always found the food quite nice and it has always arrived on time as requested. They always put some little extras in even though I would not say we are regulars. It has been our New Year's Eve tradition before the Indian was taken over by the present owners. We only once had a problem with the order but with a phone call the missed foods were here within 5 minutes. Considering ourexperience in London with our friends last year the Azaan are very good.

Phoned an order and was told it would be ready for collection in 20 mins Turned up on time and was told it would be 5 minutes longer, 15 minutes later we finally got our food and it was £4:75 more than the mrs had told me Got home and the order was wrong and it was also missing an item hence the wrong price Once I returned to the shop I had to deal with an very unhelpful member of staff who didn't even know they did the dish what we had ordered We were given a free tandoori chicken (which they told me you can microwave it though it was meant to be cooked fresh as its in a microwaveable container)which they expected me to return even though they had wrongly done the order , but they said I could keep the meal as they couldn't use it , the question is what were they gonna do with the chicken ??? They also refused to refund the difference until they got the free chicken back even though none of it was my mistake The kids had sub standard popcorn chicken and chips and left most of the meal and my Mrs ended up cooking them something else which defeated the idea of eating out My meal which is now cold had to be microwaved which now made it all dry not that I think it would of been any better Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss unless you want a substandard meal at extortionate prices

Have been a few time since moving round here 3 years ago. Recently under new management. They only changes that management have made however is to the prices. It is now way too expensive for the area. I've bought cheaper curries from the centre of Manchester. It is however the only Indian take away in Bacup, I think the new owner knows that thought, so he is more than willing to rip off his customers, cause where else are they going to go. Not been back since. New management is never always better management.
