Any kind of steak you like? They’ve probably got it. These are some of the pictures and food I’ve eaten from there. It is cheap for the meat you normally eat from the restaurants. Highly recommend it. There’s only about a 40 minute wait on a good day and every time I go past it isbusy.

The Metrocentre is one of the UK's largest shopping malls and holds a National Health Service diagnostic centre. With a cinema complex, food and drink businesses as well as shops it offers a multifaceted place to spend time. Interestingly, it opened as the Metro Centre and rebranded as the Metrocentre. I wonder how much the rebranding project cost to remove the space.

Once Europe's biggest shopping mall, it is now light years behind competitors like the Westfield Malls in London. A number of units are empty, and many brands you'd find in other shopping malls in larger cities just aren't there. This means a relatively limited choice and many of the units that are open are filled with down market shops - nail salons, pound shops, barbers, shops that never seem to have any customers in and yet mysteriously remain open, and there are no fewer than four branches of Greggs in the centre, but no branches of food chains which are common elsewhere like Itsu, Wasabi or Leon. There also seems to have been an increasing problem with gangs of feral kids, particularly during school holidays, and seeing security guards chase them round near the bus station is not an uncommon sight. It's the story of a lot of Britain's high streets, but it all looks particularly odd in a shopping mall. Whether the new owners can turn things around remains to be seen, but it seems that the Metrocentre is already in the process of being repurposed with the introduction of things like the NHS centres. You're left with the impression that a large part of the Metrocentre may be a housing estate within a decade or so.

Could do with offering cheaper rent to some cool local independent stores in the quieter zones to add some variety to the shopping experience as it's mostly high Street chain shops or really naff shops. Benefit is the parking and it's warm but other than that it's pretty soulless.

I recently visited the MetroCentre in Newcastle to watch a movie at the Odeon cinema. Unfortunately, my experience was less than enjoyable, and it's unlikely that I will be returning anytime soon. Upon arriving at the MetroCentre, I found the car park to be overcrowded and difficult to navigate. The signage was confusing, making it challenging to find a parking spot and locate the cinema. This added unnecessary stress to what should have been a fun outing. Once inside, I found the Odeon cinema to be very expensive compared to other movie theatres in the area. This, coupled with the already frustrating parking situation, left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite the wide range of shops and dining options available at the MetroCentre, the overall experience was marred by the confusing layout and high prices. While the mall's color-coded zones are meant to make navigation easy, I still found it difficult to find my way around, and the information booths and interactive maps did not offer much help. In conclusion, while the MetroCentre may have a lot to offer in terms of shopping and entertainment, the crowded car park, confusing signage, and high cinema prices detract from the overall experience. I will likely explore alternative options for future outings.

We don't have shopping like this in our immediate area. Therefore, it is a treat to have so many different styles of shops and produce in one area. Recently received a £100 fine through the post for parking in the Metro Centre's "free" car park. Didn't realise there was a 4 hour restriction (not made massively clear on signs), so if you want to get food and go to the cinema or spend time shopping there, don't bother it's not worth the price.

Loads of car parks. The place is huge and on two levels. Many big chain stores as well as quirky independents. Lots of restaurants and even a Wetherspoons. Be prepared to spend hours browsing or even a full day out. Also in striking distance of IKEA, Furniture Warehouse, DFS etc and even an ASDA superstore nearby. However, It's advisable to try to leave before the peak period if possible - it can take AGES to get out of car parks when it's busy - particularly the multi-level ones!

This used to be a very nice Hall however it now lies in decay in a dilapidated state of neglect. Primarily due to lack of preservation from the Government, sadly another part of British architectural history will be lost due to a lack of understanding.
