Friendly, nice staff. However, it took far too long to get a sandwich (nearly half an hour) . I'd finished my drink by the time I got it, with no offer of a refill or apology for the wait. I think they were doing a take out order. That's fine, but tell people if there is going to be a long wait. Also, not the owners fault but It's not the place for a quiet time. Very loud regulars talking to each other like they were in the next valley. Again, this is no reflection on the staff, who were nice. Just my experience on the day

Best breakfast in heswall by far.

Had a quick pint in here today and it was a bit quiet but the barmaid was really nice and friendly. Hope it got a bit busier for her

First time I have visited barcode in heswall ..i must say im realy impressed with the service ,the food ,just so nice to sit chill watch the world pass you by ,ordered a latte first .decided to try the breakfast ,so i got a small breakfast another latte ..fantastic just gorgeous so tasty 😋 cheaper than anywere else in heswall 👏 .. I live local aswell im so 🤷 happy ..

Takeout breakfast - awful. Asked for bacon and sausage well done, but came under cooked if anything so didn’t eat them. Missing a tomato and hash brown. Completely disappointed.

Whenever I visit my son more often than not I am treated to a visit to Barcode . This time I was treated to a healthy breakfast and a bottle of water. If it would have been early evening and staying the night it would have been a vodka and tonic. So friendly the staff are wonderful and never forget a face yes customer care is tops. Looking forward to my next visit it's my happy place cos I get to see my grandchildren as well yehhhhhhhhj

After a busy few weeks breakfast was needed. We decided on Barcode having been told that the ingredients are fresh and top notch. How right that is. Breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order. We had a full breakfast Hot coffee. Table service. Looking at the menu and so much choice for lunch so will be back to taste that too.

Really nice breakfast, prompt service, food lovely as usual. Quite a small place but good atmosphere. Coffee is from a local company and it's very very good! No parking directly outside, car park about 100 yards away.

Show sport and all the Sky football games in room downstairs. Quite an atmosphere. Thought it was a cafe but seems to be a bar too

Lovely freshly cooked breakfast not and tasty. Only negative is the thick cups the tea is served in the tea doesn't stay got would prefer a thinner cup or mug then this would be the perfect place to eat in

Full English breakfast has been revamped and is better than ever. Came here a year ago and then food was really nice, but it has been fine tuned and is seriously impressive. Not the greasy spoon food you sometimes come to expect, this is much better than that. High quality ingredients, cooked really well - the sausage is AMAZING!

Went in with friend for Breckie....fast service by a very chatty and friendly member of staff. Food served hot and well presented. Wished they offered tinned plum tomatoes instead of fresh ones, but that’s just my preference

I went here last week after a friend suggested we try it as they had a Groupon deal going. I can honestly say it was the best-tasting breakfast I have had in a long time. The presentation was really good and the staff very friendly. I advise anyone who is in the area to check out this hidden treasure

Went today with a mate after I bought a Groupon deal for a mighty breakfast. Great bargain,tasty,fresh cooked breakfast big enough to fill us up for the day! Would definitely go again. Noticed they do a Syn free breakfast and have lots of other options.I swapped my fried eggs for poached and the chips for a hash brown.

Small cafe but good food and a friendly service. Tables were well tended and spotless. Had bacon and egg on toast with a pot of tea. Toilets were clean and well maintained.

My wife & I went today & had a large breakfast each, it was excellent, 2 each of bacon & sausage, black pudding, hash brown, fried egg, mushrooms, beans & a half of tomato. It filled us. We were served by a most charming young girl. Recommended.

Enjoyed an absolute amazing breakfast, whilst watching live football on bt sport's. All staff are very courteous and friendly. We would highly recommend and definitely return.

Visited barcode for lunch using a groupon deal my granddaughter had a jacket potato with chicken, cheese and bacon this came with a salad I had the bacon Brie and cranberry panini we both had the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows which was delicious. Excellent pleasant service will definitely go back

Service was quick, and served with a smile Quite reasonably priced and was tasty. The coffee was really good, hate watery coffee.

Visited today for lunch. Good menu, good prices, friendly service. I had a balm cake with sausage, bacon, black pudding & a fried egg, it was a large helping. My wife had a tuna & coleslaw ciabatta with crisps which she enjoyed Well worth a visit.

Just visited again after having a fabulous freshly cooked breakfast last week to try the lunch menu , we were not disappointed! The food is freshly cooked so there can be a little waiting time but have a drink and a chat it’s worth the wait ! We both had mighty breakfasts last week and were very impressed with the portion size and the clean grease free presentation . Delicious! Today we went for the hot sandwich choice of bacon Brie and cranberry ciabatta and a mayo club sandwich . Both served with crisps and coleslaw and we had cheesy chips as a side order but we didn’t need them we were full after the sandwich. Will definitely be back and with hot toastie choices from as little as £3.15 how can we not ! Thanks everyone a lovely little town cafe where you can have hot drinks beers soft drinks and even wine if you wish with your lunch ! See you again soon ! Might even call in for a drink at the bar one evening!

Hidden little gem. Never appreciated what this bar/ cafe has to offer. Lovely sandwiches with sides for lunch, with a couple of nice glasses of wine and very reasonable. Attentive polite staff. What more can you ask for

Was pleased to find a place in Heswall where I could get an all day breakfast/brunch after 12 - most other places stop serving brunch dishes then.

Very cliquey i.e. frequented by the same people all the time. A good place to go if you know these people. Operates like a pub in a shop now a well-established part of the Heswall scene
