Normal restaurant. Not bad. The beef tartare tastes like the beef just melting... Just a give you a little sause. That's Absolutely Not enough for eating with meet. Not as normal Korean restaurant served handmade starter.... Overall a normal Not authentic K BBQ. But one of their male staff who weared glasses served good! Really energetic. Another female staff should be learned from him...

Restaurant is small but very cozy with nice decorations and good staff. Easy menu with HALAL chicken and beef. They have korean bbq which you can cook yourself or just order it cooked. I’d say the food is okay. I liked their steak bibimbap and korean fried chicken. Cheese tappoki and noodle box was okay. But i’d still say prices are a bit high as compared to the food being served.

This was a lovely restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised they didn’t charge a service fee—especially since we had to cook everything ourselves! The staff provided good service and helpful advice on how long to cook various meats. The only downside was being seated next to a would-be “influencer” who kept taking photos and videos, with us ending up in the background. It made us feel quite uncomfortable and created an uneasy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the tables were so close together that it felt difficult to raise this with the staff. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

The galbitang was really delicious. Rice is served until lunch time (14:00), but at other times, only the menu items are served separately. Side dishes, water. All rice must be ordered at an additional cost. The budae stew was a bit sour.

This place has gone down a lot having gone many times over 6-7 years. Its very inauthentic korean now. Food is just not that good anymore. Glad there are more koreans now in London.

I found Baribari Restaurant while searching for accommodation near Tower Bridge. The food was very delicious and there was a variety of Korean food. The owner is Korean, so I was very impressed with the service he provided.

I ordered food via uber eats. Waited for almost 1.5h for a simple seafood pancake. And the pancake was terrible - can’t find seafood in it, greasy and disappointing.

It's really delicious here!! The ribs are so delicious too The bean stew and kimchi taste just like mom’s good hands.ㅠㅠ The Korean owner is so kind. The servers who speak Korean are also very friendly. The atmosphere of the store is clean and somewhere between upscale and friendly haha. I had many Korean restaurants delivered via Uber Eats while traveling overseas, but this place was the best. I think I will definitely come back next time I come to London. Oh, and the mochi ice cream for dessert is delicious too. I also ate pork belly and the portion was really big. If you are traveling to London, be sure to visit here❤❤

I visited London just one day ago!! The Korean owner also visited without a reservation, but he kindly guided me and made me feel comfortable. The kimchi stew made with kimchi that he makes himself is guaranteed to taste better than the average in Korean restaurants, and the pork belly and kimchi fried rice I ate were all of top quality. If you're craving Korean food, I can't help but highly recommend it. The owner even took care of the service!! Thank you so much. I'm definitely not leaving a review because of the service, I'm leaving a review because I was sincerely happy eating delicious food and having a good time. The downside is that it is so delicious that many foreigners visit, so if you can make a reservation, be sure to go!

Honest review here. Close to our apartment and keep in mind I come from a heavy Korean area and been to Korea three times. In general, food is mediocre and not worth the hefty price! LA Galbi - came with only 2 pieces for a hefty price! Definitely not worth it unless you really crave for it. Nothing fancy or to remember by other than the high price. Bibimbap - I wouldn’t consider this bibimbap, more like overpriced fried rice. Google bibimbap to see what it should be… Korean Fried Chicken - more like boneless nuggets with cold sauce. I recommend getting sauce on the side just incase. Or just skip this lol… Or just skip entire place if you value your money and legitimate Korean food. Service is excellent though.

Restaurant is small and cozy. Decorations was cute. Food was passable. I come from California and this Korean food is subpar! For 14 euro you get two thin slices of galbi. Taste was on the blande side. The bimbimbap was seriously, bad. It’s basically fried rice with stripes of meat and arugula! There’s no eggs, carrots, sprouts, spinach…. This is more of a fried rice. In addition, the rice was soggy. The KFC was good. The yuzu tea is bitter and they barely give you 3/4 of a cup. We ordered a side of rice for 2.80 euro and it was so tiny and soggy too!

When I came to London, I searched here and there to try a Korean restaurant, and ended up at Baribari Korean Restaurant. First of all, there was a long line of foreigners waiting to eat Korean food, so I waited for an hour while my K-gukppong was filling up, and then I ate pork belly, soft tofu stew, and soybean paste stew. It tasted like eating in Korea and the owner even provided cucumber kimchi and radish kimchi, so I was very grateful. It is written on the menu that kimchi is made every week. It was very delicious. If you are thinking about a Korean restaurant in London, don't worry and go to Baribari. It was a great meal.

Small Korean restaurant with what looks like a large, authentic menu. I’ve been on separate occasions for the Korean bbq (there are instructions on how to eat it with ssam-lettuce) and for the à la carte offerings (the bibimbap is decent). It looks to be halal although obviously they also serve pork and alcohol, being traditional Korean menu items. A great spot, although my only comments would be that service can be slow at times (equally also an indicator that the food is being prepared fresh) , the restaurant is a little cramped and the tables rather heavy (though that’s probably since they have inbuilt K-BBQ hot plates). Also, you have to pay at the till area in front of the entrance , which also only has room for one person to stand. Has great potential if management is able to consider this.

We asked for three dishes without chilli taken from the menu which did not show the red spicy dot. After waiting quite a while the first two spicy dishes arrive!! We don't say anything because we are in a hurry and we don't have time to have the course changed. Let's hope for the third dish that arrives after some time and this one is spicy too!! In the waiting phase while we were waiting for the dishes we noticed that the cleanliness of the place was not the best and the environment was a bit shabby (the entrance door does not close and lets in a lot of cold air, and they relegated us to the back a half-patched wooden and paper screen..). Mediocre dishes, for the same price you can find better…

I ordered the army stew (부대찌개, budae jjigae) and was a bit disappointed with how little noodles there were. It was like 1/4th of a noodle package. However, the stew was delicious but the service was a bit slow, and the restaurant was kind of cramped. I was surprised that meals did not come with 반찬 (banchan, side dishes). Typically these are provided with meals in Korean restaurants. Perhaps that’s not a thing here in London/UK. I was quite surprised.

The owner is Korean and he is very kind. The food tastes good... I went for dinner, and there were so many people that I had to wait in line to eat. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, and the main menu was of course delicious, but the kimchi at this restaurant was amazing.

Very authentic and delicious Korean food!!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Bari Bari for over five years and have always had a positive experience—until today. I ordered my usual dish, the Soybean Stew, but for the first time, it was completely different. The stew was so unbearably spicy that my eyes teared up, and my throat ached after the first bite. I politely informed the waiter, explaining that it was so spicy I felt like I might pass out. He went to the kitchen and brought back a replacement. To my surprise, the second stew was exactly the same, if not worse, with even more chilies. At that point, I didn’t bother complaining again. Since I was there celebrating my 5-year anniversary with my partner, I ate what I could from the dish, but it felt like it was done on purpose. What upset me most was that after the replacement was brought out, no one checked on us to see if it was any better or if we were satisfied. We left feeling extremely disappointed. We’ve brought many friends and family to Bari Bari over the years, but this is how loyal customers are treated? For the first time ever, we refused to pay the service charge, and unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

I had a lovely dinner with my sons who had not eaten any Korean before. The Korean BBQ was a fun experience and my other son loved his Beef Bipinbab. The Kimchi pancace was to die for and all other sides were excellent. Almost full house and still everything worked fine and the staff was lovely. Thank you!

I was surprised at how big this Korean restaurant run by a Korean owner was. There was a wait, and since he was Korean, he served cucumber cabbage and cabbage kimchi, so I really enjoyed my meal! I feel like I've lost all my sweetness after 4 days in London. The Jjambbong is so delicious.

I had been to BariBari before and everything was good so decided to take my wife today. Got dumplings, kimchi fried rice, beef bulgogi and prawns. But that isn’t the purpose of this review. During my visit it was prayer time, and me and my wife wished to pray. I knew they didn’t have a prayer room but not an issue as can always make do with whatever available. The restaurant wasn’t really busy at all and my wife said she will pray in a corner besides our table, which wasn’t going to be in anyone’s way. Whilst she was praying the waiter came and told me and then also her after she finished her prayers, that “you can’t do that here” and the manager saw her on camera and sent him to instruct her to stop. Didn’t really get time to digest how we were treated in this situation until after and it really hasn’t sat right with me. I would understand a restaurant not wanting someone to pray if it is causing inconvenience to others or if I guess the customers were non-muslim and they would find it uncomfortable but everyone there sat was muslim and no one was bothered! Only this manager who was apparently watching over on a camera… What kind of restaurant that serves halal food would be so against praying. Like if it was causing them a personal discomfort. Would such a manager even serve halal food. After some thought I did think I didn’t see any form of halal certification for the partial halal menu… is it really halal. I am disappointed I stayed after we were told “you can’t do that here” but definitely will never come again and will actively make sure people are aware of this situation so they can make their own informed decision. Edit: I acknowledge their response but it shows that they are just upset 'how the situation was handled'. It was just someone (my wife) praying, there was no 'situation' until they made one. Their response shows they still do not accept people praying, moreso just the way they spoke to us. I can't see how a place like this serves halal food in Whitechapel to a 90%+ muslim population. I can also see in past bad reviews, the manager has hid in the backrooms to avoid confrontation with upset customers. Apologies just to keep your pockets full aren't really worth much.

I’ve been to quite a few Korean restaurants in the UK, but I have to say, Bari Bari has to be the best one that I have been to! As we came in, the staff were so welcoming and delightful, which really boosted our mood 💖. We were shown to our seats and LET ME TELL YOU the atmosphere was gorgeous 🫶, definitely a place to take lovely photos. Once we were served our food, I immediately fell in love ✨, the Beef BBQ was so delicious, and it felt so nice to cook it ourselves ❤️, and the cheese tteukbokki was so TASTY 😋. Again, whenever we needed assistance, the kind, polite waiters were always there to help. If you are ever considering to eat at Bari Bari, then I definitely recommend going there 👍👍.

Personally, the seafood soft tofu stew was better than the soft tofu stew in Bukchang-dong haha. In particular, the owner was so kind that it was a very pleasant evening :) I've ordered seafood tofu stew and spicy korean chicken. The food was great, the staff were super kind! I ordered kimchi stew and steamed chicken, and it tasted better than what you get at most Korean restaurants! Since we're Korean, they gave us radish radish kimchi, cucumber slices, and vegetables for free, and we really enjoyed it. 🥹 When we left, they also gave us non-alcoholic beer and seaweed as part of a drink promotion, so we were able to end the day on a good note!! I stayed at the Tower Suites Orchid Hotel and went there after searching for Korean food before going to Edinburgh (I found it in Korea). There were so many different types of food that I thought of Korea and thought it wouldn't be that good because there were so many different types of food, but guess what? My family of four ordered kimchi stew, soft tofu stew, galbitang, and Andong Jjimdak, and it was all delicious. The side dishes served, such as cucumber cabbage, are especially delicious. The price is cheap compared to London prices. Highly recommended for London travelers!! The Korean owner(?) is also really kind and nice!

Really lovely place with great food, ambience and lovely staff. It's neatly designed, making best use of the space with some privacy for guests. The bbq dishes are amazing, and my first time trying ttokbokki here and I wasn't disappointed! Great menu with an extensive range of offerings. A bit on the pricier side. Looking to go back many more time.

Exclusive waiting and not good response by the staaf

I think this is the best Korean restaurant that gave great support to my exhausted family as we arrived late at night due to my daughter's decision to work in London after a long trip to Europe. The kimchi made by the owner himself was very delicious, and the cucumber sobaeki was especially fantastic. During my stay for about a month, I visited for lunch about 3 times and enjoyed it. I will continue to take care of you during my stay in London. And lastly, I have lived abroad for decades and visited Korean restaurants in many countries during my trip to Europe, but I have never found a restaurant where the owner was so attentive and considerate. I was truly satisfied and happy with the owner's thoughtful consideration and taste. My whole family was moved and moved to tears. I highly recommend this as a Korean restaurant with the best hospitality and the best store identity in London. president! I hope you stay healthy and prosper in all your businesses!!!

This is the best Korean restaurant in the UK. I was so busy eating it that I couldn't take a proper picture of each and every one of them, but every single one of them tastes like the Korean food I miss eating in Korea. In particular, the Andong Jjimdak sauce is salty at other places, but here, it's moderately sweet and tastes like home, so be sure to try it. I saw that they put a lot of thought into not only the food, but also the tableware, interior, atmosphere, and staff service! Above all, the owner was so kind and provided a lot of service, so I was really happy today. Thank you so much, owner💕 I will come here every time I come to London :)

Toppoki and KFC was really nice. The waiting staff were friendly and warm. The only downside to the experience was the lady in pink shirt she didn't feel welcoming. For me going to a restaurant is to enjoy food and to feel welcome from the start. She didn't give that vibe but overall the rest of the staff seemed friendly.

Really good quality of Korean bbq. Gobi was excellent! I didn’t enjoy the prawn tempura as they were too fried and sticky but I think I ordered wrong. The bibimbap is excellent too. We had to wait a bit even though we booked but it goes really fast. I would suggest they add a set menu for the bbq that way people can try more and keep ordering.

The kids wanted to eat Korean food, so we looked for a place near the hotel and went there quickly. As the reviews say, the owner is really friendly and the male staff member who speaks Korean is very kind. My son has a crush on the employee. I think 2 servings of pork belly is equivalent to 3 Korean servings. As I am Korean, I was grateful that the owner provided excellent service and asked if I needed anything else. There are a lot of people, so I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation. We arrived a little late, so we were lucky enough to wait a bit before getting in. The side dishes are really delicious. My son said the cold noodles were delicious and asked me to order more^* I think I'll go a few more times before I go to Korea. This place is completely recommended.

To be clear this is the fifth time that I’ve been there, the last times were all fine. Today we ordered cold noodle soup, the noodle was a bit overcooked, and by the time we almost finished it I found a piece of short hair in my bowl and there was a silver curled string from my friend’s bowl, which is like a part from the dishwashing sponge. Immediately we felt disgusted as any other person would react. This is a serious hygiene issue, we wanted to speak to the manager but all the staff said he’s not reachable or I can EMAIL him (not call him), meaning can’t resolve this problem at the moment expect refunding the noodles, but we still had to pay a kimchi pancake that we ordered, which at this point is not really understandable. Very disappointed meal, i always thought this is one of the best Korean restaurants in the area, not anymore.

No faults, everything is amazing and well priced. If you go as two people they will cook your portion in the kitchen if you want.

It's kimchi pancake, but there's no kimchi. I think they just added kimchi broth to the flour batter and made it like a pancake. If you're going to make it like this and sell it, just don't sell it.

Good Korean food. Limited vegetarian options. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about what they can serve. The restaurant itself is very small so don't think of taking buggies and wheel chair. We went on a winter day and the place felt a bit cold but food was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

I headed to London to watch Son Heung-min's game, and I was craving Korean food, so I happened to go to a Korean restaurant. The food was okay and comfortable, and when I looked at the menu, it seemed like there were no side dishes. The moment I said that, the owner came with various side dishes. It was so delicious and it was a moment where I felt the affection of Koreans. Cucumber Sobak is a perfect restaurant. Even though the staff were foreigners, it was nice to see them trying to speak Korean. Thank you, boss. I'll go again haha

Very delicious and authentic Korean food

I try a lot of Korean restaurants and I find Bari Bari the best for the spicy tofu seafood stew (Sundubu jiggae) and Korean BBQ

We ordered two of the more popular dishes (according to the waiter) which weren't great. Not bad, but nothing special. The waiter did recommend a bbq and we should have gone for that - it looked great on other tables. The staff was very friendly and the place deserves another try.

Last time I went, I had a prawn noodle dish (I can't remember the name), which I really didn't like. The noodles and broth didn't taste fresh, and it was a bit sickening. However the starters were good so I came back again with family to give it another go. We chose katsu chicken noodles (loved this, was such a comfort meal), wagyu beef noodles (meat was good ofc, if u like beefy broth this is good), miso mushroom noodles (creamy and nice), and noodles with oxtail (I think...but this was good too). For starters we got fried prawns tempura (so nicee), bread (good/average, buttery, nice to wipe up sauces), chicken wings (these weren't that nice, last time we ordered this it tasted amazing perhaps they changed the recipe, not sure), cheesy dumplings (were nice but the prawn was the best). My experience this round was much better. Service was lovely. Oh and everything is halal 😍

Had to wait a bit to be seated but it was no problem. Food was good and service was great. Super friendly staff and helped me pick out what I wanted to order. They also gave us mints on our way out. Would recommend.

Food is so authentic and absolutely delicious. I’ve lived in london for 3 years and I’m always looking for good K food in central and this place is my new fave. The kimchi is devine! Good portions too, I’ve had my kimchi portion in the fridge for 2 meals plus now!

The food was delicious. One of the best I had lately. The chicken was similar to what I used to have in Korea. The kimchi authentic as well, and the the samgyetang quite tasty as well.

Says Service fee is mandatory when it was appalling. Booked table waited 30 minutes. Food arrived after 40 minutes. Illegal activities restaurant saying service fee is mandatory. Needs to be investigated and shut down for fraudulent behaviour.
