I visited Barley Farm with my 4 year old daughter for Breakfast with Santa. Although I have visited the restaurant a few times I have never attended one of these events. I must say that I was really happy with the whole experience. The staff were super friendly and cheerful. The breakfast had a good selection and the visit with Santa was great. My Daughter was amazed and kept telling people she had met the real Santa. Credit to the staff for working at such a stressful time of year in the hospitality industry with smiles on their faces and keeping things running smoothly. I think I will definitely return next year.

The rating says it all. A beautiful, relaxed, Interier. The food is first class every time I visit, which is once every 2 weeks on a Wednesday.

Had the carvery for our ladies dart team Christmas meal and it was absolutely amazing, Kay who served us ( not sure about the spelling of her name) was lovely. We will be back! I'm taking hubby next time.

Really disappointed by the service tonight - we visited the pub after the Sale game we were served a pint at 10.15 only to be thrown out at 10.30, This pub is advertised to close at 11pm and we were threatened with calling the Police , Really very disappointed by the service from Greene King, who normally are great. I will never go to this pub again I have seen your reply and I am now even more unimpressed. I was neither rude nor aggressive. In fact I don’t remember speaking to any staff apart from when served. The only people i saw being aggressive was the girl asking us to leave You shouldn’t serve people and then tell them they have to leave 15 mins after they arrive. Maybe next time close before the game finishes. In any case I won’t be coming back.

Friendly pub / restaurant with comfy surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast and carvery's I've had have always been lovely and good value. Good choice of drinks, hot and cold. The play area is at one end of the pub, meaning the opposite side is more peaceful for those who are 'child free'. Staff are welcoming and pleasant and always attentive to customers' needs. Barley Farm is well worth a visit, whether it be for a quick catch up or a group get-together.

We went to breakfast with Santa. This was £40 for 2 adults and 2 children. The payment was told to us it had to be paid upfront due to no facilities to take payment on the day, but people were there for breakfast in general and the tills were in operation. Some people may have booked this for certain dates thinking they get paid the day off or the day before. £20 for two people is a lot ATM for some people and they may not be able to afford this upon booking. The breakfast was a normal buffet style which is only £7.50 to book as normal on a normal day for adults and £4.99 for children. The book the children got was a 10 for £10 book from the works and they got a fruit shoot too. I would not say this experience was £40 worthy. If we got a decent cup of coffee to choose from and not a canister coffee this may have made it better. Or even Christmas music playing whilst people were eating to make it more Christmassy.. The staff on the day didn't even take dirty plates until after we had visited Santa. We had to ask them if we moved them or did they. Due to the children playing and messing about. However, the food was cooked and was delicious as a buffet breakfast is. But a better option such as waffles and pancakes along side would have made it a better experience. If we could have paid a deposit and chose what type of breakfast we wanted you could have made a bit more money.

We attended the Santa breakfast at Barely farm. We were a party of 9 and the experience was excellent. The service was perfect, many thanks to Laura for seating us, making sure we had everything we needed and clearing our table promptly. The food was wonderful, a sled sever buffet breakfast with sausages, bacon, yorkshire pudding, eggs etc. It was all fresh and very filling. The Santas grotto was amazing. It was a lovely atmosphere and lovely morning all round

I recived a yorkshire pudding that weighed less than a gram and disintegrated when you picked it up. My local wouldnt of served them, poor selection of food and never any cakes compared to my local sycamore farm. Carvery is shocking from here, Breakfast pretty good but still lacks the selection.

Brought elderly father out for Sunday carvery, booked a booth as he find them more comfortable and husband has autism and like to be tucked away. On arrival told we couldn't have a booth even though we'd booked well in advance. Had we of been told prior to our visit we'd of gone elsewhere. Never ever been refused a booth before at any farmhouse inns and we go to a lot! Top it off, you charge more on a Sunday for extra meat choice, pork, yet don't serve it. What audacity is that? Very stingy with the meat too 2 small thin slices of turkey.

Came today for breakfast, the pub was busy as it was breakfast but we were still served straight away and all the buffet breakfast was available. Judewas great making sure everything was ok with our food and asking did we need anything. Overall a good experience

Visited Barley farm for my 40th birthday today Lovley atmosphere Lovley food service was brilliant A lovley woman called Laura was very helpful definitely come back kids enjoyed also.

The carvery was alright but either the glass or the ice was contaminated and we both felt sick though the night. Hope you guys look into this and fix current and future options for contamination including staff following practices. The host experience was terrible, we arrived informing the host we're looking to get carvery and started to ask us if we booked in advance (we said no) and went on to say we have to book online and made us feel like we couldn't have carvery for almost 2 minutes.. too much useless talk to promote online bookings. Otherwise the food was fine and would go back for the carvery, but please improve on hosting and cleanliness.

Paid for an extra Yorkshire pudding but only got 1. If you don’t have enough stock, take the extra options off the menu!

Last 2 times I've been this place seems to have really picked up. Food was amazing cooked to perfection. Beef really tender and soft. Kay ensured we were looked after cleared our plates promptly and asked if we needed anything else. Wonderful family day out

We come here fairly often and the food is always good, but the main reason to come is the service. Our waitress Kay was fantastic as per. Very friendly and helpful, a great reason to come again.

Ordered carvery today, vegetables some cold, some luke warm. Roast potatoes solid on the outside, nothing crispy about them. Worst carvery we ever paid good money for. Informed waitress her reply "I will let them know inside". No advice to us. Obviously the customer does not matter to her. We ate very little of our meals, and as stated informed the waitress of our experience. All the food was stone cold within 10 minutes of starting the meals, because most were Luke warm when served. Obviously my conversation did not reach management at the time of our complaint.

Had a really great time carvery was lovely and reasonable prices. Had the lemon cake it was amazing Was served by Tilly brilliant customer service. Will definitely be back again :)

Overall experience good typical pub carvery and food, fare priced, plentiful and hot carvery good value, the only gripe I had when drinking my larger smelt very doggy like the glass washer hadn't been cleaned, but overall I would go back, went back 11-6-2023 had fully loaded chicken strips, very tasty and plentiful 👍the vegatarian carvery with cheese pie excellent, and chips 👍 chocolate fudge cake and ice cream👍had 1 pint san migel was not pongy this time excellent meal definitely a go back

It was a lovely place went at the right time literally got there for 4 oclcok pre booked but about 5-5:30 it was absolutely packed out the carvary was lovely, didn't have to wait long for off the menu food as well, beautiful clean place deffinelty going again. The deserts was massive and beautiful
