Good selection of cask ales ..Guinness on too.

This is one of my favourite bars in Brighton, and has been for the past 20 years its always had lovely clients and the staff are always friendly and polite and hot to look at 😉😘 also have a large range of beers, wine and spirits 😁

Friendly staff, tasty food, only slightly let down by the current sheps lineup of beers but absolutely nothing they can do about that.

Incredible food. Incredible Service. Get to the Bath Arms straight away and don't look back. I had the burger and I thought you know what, this cheese is top drawer. That's what it's all about. The burger of course was good, the braised pork belly brilliant. But the cheese being THAT good. It's attention to detail. Reader, I can't believe you haven't been yet, I simply cannot comprehend it. Consider yourself implored to enter.

Had a lovely meal, plus lots of drinks and it was INCREDIBLE. The food was super tasty and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks so much !!!!

Cracking little boozer with loads of cosy tables and a great fire that was kept topped up. Good deal on the house wine and the menu looked fantastic with unusual items for a small pub and wide selection. Smoked duck breast, scallop annd monkfish risotto , artichoke soup, venison. A clearly well thought out menu of restaurant quality. Prices for central Brighton are good too. Next time I go back I’m deffo having a meal. Only downside is it’s shepherds neame as their management at HO are awful

Love this cosy pub! Came for drinks, and ended up staying for the delicious food (and the fireplace!) Staff are also super welcoming with great menu & drink suggestions. Can’t wait to hide here when Christmas shopping gets too much 🎄🍷

Fantastic for a Sunday roast, I wish we’d taken a photo! Good size portion and great quality. Would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

The scran was top tier. Ate here twice in two days. Fish and chips the first day, batter was crispy and chips were cooked amazingly. Then had the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. Bar staff were so kind and friendly. Perfect to get warm and cosy on cold winters day.

We know the pub from last year, the food was excellent back then, so we wanted to repeat it this year: service and atmosphere are still good, the burger was excellent, BUT: Fish & Chips: the fish was clearly spoiled (not just bad , but really spoiled) - I can't judge whether this was an isolated incident or a slip-up, but something like that simply shouldn't happen - even though I've enjoyed being here so far, it was the last visit for us.

Came here with my family for Sunday roast. Wow food and service was absolutely amazing. Special shoutout to Tallulah and Hollie for making us feel so welcome. Will certainly be returning here!

Came to the Bath Arms, as I had heard that they did great roasts. All I can say, is fantastic!! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff are amazing. Tallulah and Hollie were so friendly and really made our afternoon. Keep up the great work. Thank you and will be back again soon 😁 xx

We came in for a few drinks, I asked for a glass of Sauvignon. We were surprised that the cost came to £3 more than expected. We queried this, at which point the bar maid said that they didn't have that particular Sauvignon, so had poured another more expensive wine. We didn't want to pay the extra cost, as it wasn't what I ordered. So, she asked if I wanted an alternative, at which point she threw the glass of wine out and replaced it in 2 parts, which were ends of bottles into the same glass. This felt petty, wasteful and was a vindictive response. We won't be coming back.

I wandered in to get out of the rain, this place was way better than I thought it would be. Very good food that wasn't reheated chain crap and really good portions!

Lovely pub, I real find........ as a vegetarian it is so hard to find a good vegetarian burger, it was fresh, tasting and whatever sauce was put in the bun was amazing, chips clearly home made, it felt like it was really made with love and attention to detail with the food was clear.. I will be back.

I went to The Bath Arms last night. My sister, niece and cousins, had an outstanding meal, and the chef Joe is phenomenal. I had the Burger, which I can say is the best burger I've ever tasted. The pub is the oldest in the Lanes and just quirky with great staff. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Amazing meal at the bath arms with my cousins. One of the best burgers I have ever had (a must if you're a fan of aioli). My cousin had the fishcake which was epic. Others had the fish and chips and vegan burger and we all left full of delicious food. Beautiful old pub with quirky decor and excellent food.

I had the best burger ever in the Bath Arms last night, it was hard to choose as the menu had lots of tempting dishes, the fish cake and the vegan burger also looked delicious. Also really good house red wine. Really good value. The oldest pub in Brighton Lanes. What a gem, lovely decor, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I can't wait to go again as we had a lovely evening.

After travelling Europe for 4 months me and my partner were desperate for à Sunday lunch. I can honestly say that The Bath Arms did not disappoint! Apparently the oldest pub within the little streets in Brighton. The staff were amazing! Very prompt at serving us and asking if everything was OK with our meal etc. The little blonde lady whom served us was fantastic (sadly didn't catch her name) but she's an absolute credit to the company. The food - my partner got the slow roasted brisket (of which I had to try) literally melted in your mouth. I had the chicken in lemon and thyme ohh it was gorgeous! The roasts veg yorkshire were just seasoned and cooked to perfection! Very generous in portions too. It truly was the best Sunday lunch I have EVER purchased. When we return to Brighton we will 100% be returning without a shadow of a doubt. Congrats to the chef for your mastery in the kitchen.

Met with friends for lunch and was blown away by the great food. Having food intolerances was not a problem and was easily catered for. The banana blossom ‘fish’ and chips was insanely wonderful, the batter light and crispy, chips cooked to perfection with a generous helping of mushy peas made this dish one I will rave about for a very long time!

Found this pub tucked away in Brighton lanes. Fabulous atmosphere and dog friendly. The food was sublime, would definitely recommend the crab linguine. Also catered for my friend's food allergies without any hesitation. If I lived closer I would definitely visit more often as the chefs are passionate about the food they serve and frequently change the menu.

A busy pub in the heart of The Lanes.

As a solo female traveler, I can honestly say that I’ve received the warmest welcome in this pub, just a kind warm reception (that I’ve not really experienced anywhere else in Brighton so far). I ordered the burger and chips and it didn’t disappoint! Real beef, not a plastic burger and the chips were spot on too. Also, I pointed out that the toilet roll had stopped dispensing, despite being full and it was dealt with immediately. Also, they really seem to care whether their food has hit the mark. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or come back. 10 out of 10.

Great quality food and friendly attentive service

Visited here last Monday afternoon and sat outside in the cool shade for a refreshing drink before a wander around. We came back in the evening to eat and the food was exceptional - Brisket Croquette and Salt & Pepper Squid to start followed by the Plaice and Crab & Nduja Linguinne and a side of fantastic Onion Rings. Drinks offer was good and both food and drink reasonably priced. Service was attentive and there was a nice relaxing atmosphere - would highly recommend

Honestly the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had. We had a table for 9, all of whom enjoyed their chosen meals (the majority being various roasts). All food was served within a couple of minutes of each other, which was all hot (which is unusual for roast dinners!) The cauliflower cheese side was honestly of this world! The only slight criticism.. the Yorkshire puddings! Otherwise 10/10

Affordable and quality pub food. Would highly recommend the whole-spice and citrus cured salmon it is delicious!! Welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Roast potatoes at the bar on a Sunday evening are also a massive bonus. Staff are amazing as well!

I had tea, you have to pay and get it at the counter to bring it yourself to the table. Nice and kind waitresses!!!

Family dinners and drinks. Pleasant and warm welcome throughout the evening. All the dishes ordered were delicious! I recommend with your eyes closed.

Whitstable Ale was very good, Sauvignon also acceptable. Down side was the spicy language of a group of individuals that was not challenged by the staff. Disappointed 😥

Nice authentic pub wth outdoor table to hav drink & ciggie. Friendly staff & lovely clean toilets. Only minus was a pint & half cost £8.95 & not seafront location so quite expensive

Schönes Pub. Die chips sind absolut lecker und die Auswahl an guten Bieren ist super. Für mich das beste Pub in Brighton und daher die Empfehlung.

Lovely pub in the heart of the Lanes,food was lovely but needed to be hotter and we did express our opinions...but on the whole lovely pub in a great location and Sam the barman and I believe the lady who served us was called Emma(blonde) were very attentive and pleasant a credit to the establishment...will be returning when Madness hit town in a few weeks 😁

The staff were polite and the atmosphere with the Rugby on was brilliant. We only stayed for a couple of drinks but I would be more than happy to come back here with my partner!

Been here many times for drinks but first time for food. Staff were very friendly and helpful, top marks for that. We all had a roast, I had pork belly. Definitely one of the best roasts I've had in a while as far as choice of ingredients and taste. The pork was melt in the mouth good.. Perfect portion size. My only criticism would be it was luke warm when it arrived. Easily 5 stars if they can get that sorted. Will definitely visit again.

I went to visit my friend in Brighton, we had the most delicious burger in The Bath Arms, and it's a lovely pub.

I love this traditional town centre pub. We can always find somewhere to sit!

Sehr gut, wir kommen wieder!! Wir waren wieder da, unverändert alles gut. Übrigens ist dieser Pub einer der ersten in Brighton. Er haz sogar unterirdische Gänge.

Shame simple politeness was missing from the male bar person who served me. Not a thank you or sorry when asked if they served a beer not on offer. Just a stern no. Plus lager served in bitter glasses is not ok as it goes flat, as was mine.

My visit was marked by a quite astonishingly high level of service. I was greeted by a server with the most friendly of countenances who availed me of my pint of Neck Oil with aplomb. Marvellous!

What a nice Pub in the Lanes! Friendly staff and the Bangers and Mash are delicious. Also the Spitfire is worth more than a Pint.

A traditional pub atmosphere, flock wallpaper and lots of wood. See if you can spot the woman having a bath! Burgers are nice and meaty. Old fashioned thick cut chips and chrispy. Service was friendly.

Lovely, bright pub in the heart of the Lanes. Reasonably priced and very friendly. This was our first time (having walked past it hundreds of times before) but it won't be our last!

In the heart of the Lanes. We hadn't planned on having a full Sunday lunch but as the weather was abysmal we took shelter here and glad we did. The food was good with Hilary's lamb perhaps being the better choice but my beef being a close second.

Fish and chips cooked perfectly and very generous with two large pieces of fish, tartare sauce container on the plate, pickled onions, golden fluffy doorstep chips, pea shoots.... excellent staff... beer brewery fresh.. so much atmosphere and depth of character to this cosy pub

A nice pub in Brighton's Lanes. It has a good atmosphere and the young man who served us was very friendly. We had the vegan fish fingers and chips which was a very generous portion with lots of fish fingers and also vegan tartare sauce, mushy peas and pickles. It was excellent value for money.

Nice place bit quiet when i went that was afternoon. Maybe a bit livelier at night

Great pub in the centre of The Lanes in Brighton. Not many cask ales available, but the selection was varied and interesting, the prices were the same as central London (not a surprise in the centre of Brighton). It is - however- still a proper pub where you can meet people and have conversation.
