Bayleaf Indian Restaurant & Bar in West Lothian

Nice service but not happy about having to leave at 2.30pm our table was booked 12 till 3pm didn't get to finish our drinks all because they booked more people in for Christmas dinner disappointed spent a fortune 20 of us don't think I'll be back in a hurry

Food was excellent, service was first class. Well worth a visit and will definitely be back.

First ever takeaway food and most definitely the last. Poppadoms soft not crisp, pakora swimming in oil, mains tasteless and cold after a five minute journey home, nan bread soggy and rubbery. In a nut shell one of the worst meals ever

Made an order online. Took over 2 hours to arrive and when it did it was stone cold. Tried to get a refund through just eat but they said it was heavy traffic. We live 10 mins away. Heavily pregnant so having to throw it out as I can’t reheat this type of food safely without knowing how long it’s been sitting in some guys car. Not happy at all

order took over 2 hours to arrive, called multiple times and was told the driver was on the way and all the food arrived stone cold. not sure how this place has so many great reviews. we live 10 mins from them this is pretty bad

Dad fancied trying a different dish and chose chicken dhaba.To be fair lovely sauce,nice rice..but no mention of the chicken being on the bone..The actual lack off chicken meat in this particular dish was really disappointing really small boney chicken knucles.Unfortunatly I would not recommend this dish.A pity as usual previous orders have been spot on.. 😩

Made very welcome and well looked after with the staff place was busy and the food was excellent I was in a party of 7, going back next week with a party for 12 really looking forward for taste buds tingling

Used Bay leaf in Bathgate since it opened. Food was exceptional as always. Delivery time was very disappointing compared to usual time frame

Ordered almost 2 hours ago. No delivery!!! Nothing has arrived. This is our regular Indian takeaway and it’s always amazing food shame this time it’s taking so long and still not here

Place is warm feeling. Staff are amazing, make you feel welcome and tend to all your needs. Food is of course amazing. Staff even go above and beyond, if you’re thinking about going here, definitely do!

Horrible! Order placed 2pm, arrived after 4pm. Told no delivery until 4:30 but no communication about this when placing order. When called restaurant was passed around to 3-4 people and not listened to, just interrupted constantly with zero acknowledgement of their wrong in the matter. Couldn't cancel my order because it has been 2 hours since it was placed. Food wasn't very good, customer service worst in Scotland! Fix your merchant account to fix issue instead of blaming app.

The team at Bayleaf Bathgate managed our "enthusiastic" group of 14 very well. 😉 Excellent service, super food with choices to suit all palates. Amazing selection of starters. My chicken pasdanda was cooked perfectly.

Basically missing 2lt Fanta and got can Fanta. As a result in getting in touch with you cold juice my food was freezing in its place.

Sorry, first time using them, and the last. Back to Zaika in Livingston who's food has always been great (yes, they do deliver to Bathgate). No spiced onions with the broken poppadom (set meal) and no chilli sauce with the pakora. Lamb dish was nice but chicken dish was average. Oh well, you live and learn.

This is a great restaurant very friendly staff , nice atmosphere, and the food is always excellent, my wife and I have been many times and always very enjoyable, my favourite dish is the Chicken Shakuti it is nice and spicy just as I like it

I’ve order here for delivery many times and tonight wasn’t great, put my order in 15.50 for asap arrived 17.30, I actually called to see where the meal was! Told it was on its way, no apology, the vindaloo was bland just like the last meal we had, I asked for it to be spicy I’m really disappointing tonight. Probably give it a rest for a while as I know they can do so much better. Cut back on the dips and spicy onions aswell really disappointed tonight after a long wait ILL NOT BE BACK ORDER THE SET MENU came without popadoms or dips no spices onions

We ordered food for collection. We used their online option to order. We created an account, compiled our order, and selected our preferred pick-up time. All of which was simple. The food was ready for collection when I turned up. The food was piping hot and most importantly, delicious. A must for Indian cuisine!!!

We had our lunch here on our return journey from Linlithgow to Liverpool. Very nice ambience & service. Polite staffs. We have tried Chicken biryani which is served in a pot and it tasted very good and is accompanied with raita & gravy. Pappadams were given as a free starter. We have used Mall road parking at the back of the restaurant which is free as well.

Couldn't fault our meal tonight. Ordered for delivery for the first time and was very pleased with the quick delivery and quality of food. Everything tasted amazing and you could tell it was freshly made down to the onion bhajis which were so good! Will definitely order from here again

Had a takeaway from here and it was excellent, I had chilli garlic chicken which Is my favourite,I've had this from a LOT of restaurants all over the country and this has to be the best I've had, top class keep it up chef 👍

Lovely food, never fails to disappoint and always fast delivery.

Food was 45 minutes late. Our family had to eat quickly then leave…. 2 of the curries spilled inside the bag so sauce was wasted….. food was warmish (naan breads were cold and below average quality) the bay leaf had been recommended to us by a friend but for a first experience the whole thing was a fail….. maybe we will try again maybe not….. but expensive for the quality of the food 😞

Food was cold and the chips were overcooked

Ordered butter chicken was not as described didn't taste like any butter chicken I've had before and was not mild at all very spicy. My partner loves spicy food and this was spicy for him he ordered madras past few time he has loved it this time was so spicy he struggled to eat it so had mines instead. Spent £40 and had to make myself something at home for dinner.

Was advised delivery would be an hour but arrived in 40 mins. I had veg korma which can sometimes be a bit bland. This was not it was really lovely and spicy. Partner had lamb pathia which he also loved. Ordered nan but also got free popadums and spiced onions. Very impressed with everything...

I like this Indian a lot. The staff are very courteous and have often given us extra if there's been any misunderstanding or delays. Food is great too, love the naans from here!! Also accommodating for my partner who is celiac (gluten free).

The chicken Kashmiri korma was tasteless, the mushrooms in the mushroom rice were like chewing leather, the chicken was very dry. All in the meal was not worth the £25. I would like a refund. Lesson learnt and will not order ever again.

Solid offering, good portion size.

All food was cold, delivered to wrong address. Butter chicken burnt the mouth off me, and I like spice this was for my 4 year old daughter. Chips were like rocks, rice was stuck too bottom of container and pakora tasted like cardboard. Fabulous spiced onions I guess 🤣

Had the mixed grill and have to say it was pretty good. Curry sauce was a bit naff but kinda knew what to expect from a base gravy but it came with a chilli and coriander dip which was really tasty and spiced onion . naan bread was decent so all in all pretty good
