Bay's Fish Bat in Hackney

¡Terrible, absolutamente terrible! Las patatas fritas estaban fritas y crujientes! Bays era bueno antes de que la nueva dirección se hiciera cargo de su descenso colina abajo. Seguro que no volveré a pedir desde allí. ¡Por favor, no malgastes tu dinero!

Avoid this so called fishbar it's awful, the chips are old and manky and the fish is oily,,I will never call there again, save your money and go elsewhere

This used to be a lovely reasonable priced fish and chip shop, went there this evening with my daughter to get her cod and chips and a small portion of kebab meat. Was charged nearly £8 for the cod and £3 for chips. No kebab menu with prices and when I asked he charged me £5 just for a bit of kebab meat. I didn't make a scene as my daughter is autistic and I didn't want to upset her. This place has turned into a complete dump with incompetent workers who enjoy taking advantage of customers. Absolutely disgusting, never going back.

Ordered a £6.50 meal deal Meat was awful (as expected I guess) Chips were RAW or 30% cooked at best Got a lemon Fanta but was told only Pepsi or 7up allowed with meal deal. Asked for Salt and vinegar and I swear to god he used 20 grains of salt and 4 drip of vinegar lol POO POO !!

My mum went into this shop just before her shift at 8pm. We had no change so used a £5 note. We got the food and left and went to the convenience shop opposite, that’s when she noticed by using the change this fish shop gave us, that it wasn’t a real pound. My mums then returned back to the shop to tell them they’ve made a mistake and that she would like to change the pound. They made her wait for 20 minutes!!! For Them to check it on the cctv??? How does that make sense? How will that help ? They claimed they did not give it to her and that it wasn’t from this shop? THE ONLY CHANGE MY MUM HAD WAS THE CHANGE THEY GAVE HER!! Ridiculous customer service, made to feel soo low and liar!!!! It’s not even the money it’s the principle!! Instead of admitting their mistake and simply apologising then changing the coin they continued to deny it and be rude!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting!!! Made my mum late to work with all the stress she’s been through and the long hours she has put in being a nurse at a care home!!! ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!!!!

Don’t know what my man that gave the 1 stars problem is but these guys know what they’re doing.. incredible fish great, chips.. not like bouji bulsh##t from sutton and suck the soul out of life and sons.. keep it up guys!

On a lazy Friday evening we decided to give this fish bar a chance but the smell that comes out of the back of this place should have been enough of a warning. The food was truly terrible and we had to throw half of it away. Never again.

I've had a few lunches from here the Haddock is fantastic ad so is the chicken wrap and very good value. It is all cooked fresh, so if you like your fish and chips quick and soggy this is not the place for you. The chips are great and a good portion size. I can't recommend it highly enough. Just to be clear this is a fish and chip shop they do not have tables to dine in.

The best take away fish and chips in the area if not the east end. Close to Haggerston Overground station this little shop cooks fresh fish and great portions of chips. Curry sauce, mushy peas and all the rest available. A small treat and well worth a visit.
