We decided to visit this pub and were pleased we did. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a nice table in a quiet position. The menu was varied and quite extensive. We shared the belly pork bites and chicken wings to start and both were delicious. To follow my husband had the pork ribs and I had the mac'cheese and coleslaw. We just about managed an ice-cream to finish! I can thoroughly recommend this place

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. Super friendly staff and locals, and fair pricing - we’ll definitely be back. We had the belly pork bites and salt and pepper squid to start, and shared a mixed platter for our main.

A small group of friends having Sunday lunch after an amazing party the night before - what a treat we have had having lunch at The Bees Knees!! We all had the beef and every mouthful was “OMG - Salivating” we all dribbled with Joy - Highly Recommend 😋

We came here for the evening as part of a business get together for a pre challenge meal. The choice of beers and spirits was excellent, both local and international brands. Good selection of local Cotswold gin. The staff were excellent and efficient, very relaxed despite being busy. The food was amazing, best BBQ food I’ve tasted and I LOVE BBQ food. This makes places like the Red Dog in London look like Mc Donald’s. Well done on getting great meat and outrageous flavour. We live over 3 hours away in Essex, but I will make a return visit to this area for the food. 100% recommended

The hotel and gardens are decorated and maintained so beautifully and the hotel is comfortable, warm and cosy throughout. The Christmas decorations and roaring fires were so lovely in a cold December. All the staff across Reception, the Bar, the Restaurant etc were an absolute delight. The breakfasts were also delicious. We took our 6-month old puppy and there were many sweet touches for him such as as a dog bed and bowl ready in the room and a 'doggy sausage' at breakfast each morning. We were in a newly refurbished Cotswold double and it was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable. The only slight downside is that, likely because it's such an old building, the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours very clearly. This is the only reason i haven't given it the full 5 stars (I would give this 4.5 stars if Google allowed). It wouldn't stop me staying here again, I'd just take ear plugs next time. Brilliant location to explore Bourton on Water, Daylesford, Broadways, the Slaughters etc. Highly recommend staying here.

It was our first visit to the delightful Cirencester. Lunch and a nice drink were definitely in the plans and after a rather snotty and somewhat rude welcome at The Fleece (clearly they are very complacent) we were directed to The Crown by a very nice shop assistant in Crew Clothing. The staff at The Crown were extremely friendly and efficient and the food was excellent value. We will return!

Food was good. When it came to service, we asked ourselves why there were so many waitresses. We didn't notice much of it. We didn't feel accepted.

Booked for dinner on Thursday evening. The food is 11/10 & the staff are really nice. A must if you are in the area.
