Beijing Banquet Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire

It's a buffet style Chinese restaurant. Far to many of the dishes were cold, I was in early, just as the doors opened in fact and I would expect the food to be at the hottest at that point so somewhat disappointed. Also had a coffee with my meal which was also cold! Food was OK taste wise, nothing special so seems taste is sacrificed a little for quantity

Visited here for lunch with a work colleague, all you can eat buffet, and we ate all we could. And then some. I'm pretty sure there's a law written somewhere that you must consume as much as humanly possible in these kind of places, we probably broke this law by eating like a couple of pigs. I'm writing this at 9.30am the following day and I still haven't eaten anything since leaving there yesterday at 2.15pm. Starting to get a little peckish now though....... Food was excellent 👌

Sadly food was bland ! Was in a group of 12 adults and the overwhelming feeling was disappointment- and 5 of us even remarked that the only thing we enjoyed was the mushrooms !! Hard to recommend overall food wise - the interior was clean but food let it down

Food was delicious cooked to perfection

Great food plenty of choice and all ages catered for. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was clean and well prepared. Food was hot and dishes replaced promptly. Pizza chicken nuggets and much more for children and those who don't like Chinese food. We went in for the lunchtime and it was still great value for what was available I felt it was very fairly priced. It is certainly worth a visit if you like Chinese food.

It is a busy place which is good. Plenty of choice. It's worth the visit.

My family and I love going in for the buffet, which comes with a bit of everything, meaning there is something for everyone. Staff are always pleasant and helpful also make sure that all your needs are met.

Been a few times now and to be honest yes theres loads of choice but mostly chicken. Food was ok but better out the local Chinese shop

Exceptional clean. The food trays were immaculate. Diners were respectful in how they used the correct tongs for each food tray. The restrooms were spotless.

a surprise birthday present from my friend took me this amazing Chinese buffet Iv been to many in the past but this one ticked all the boxes Food amazing, service first class and spotlessly clean staff very attentive have also discovered there is a branch in Renfrew which is a wee bit closer to home so will definitely pay that a visit and the dessert area wow absolutely amazing 5*

Great place to eat, my picky teenage sons loved that they couldn't try everything, there was pasta, pizza and all manner of interesting things to try. Salt and chilli chips and chicken, curry, ribs, shredded duch and pancakes, soups, spring rolls, chicken fried rice, noodles. Brilliant evening meal busy but not to busy. My only complaint would be there were alot of children unsupervised sticking there fingers in the chocolate fountain! I'd avoid that. Everything was brilliant and very clean thanks for a brilliant evening out

Was surprised by the Beijing not normally my cup of tea but was very good , a must try if in the area just 2 mins off the M77....

We have been here a few times and the quality is consistent. This is definitely one of the best buffets I have visited, and with it's proximity to the cinema, ideal for dinner and a movie 😊

First time trying here and went for lunch with husband and 11 year old son who is a basic eater. I loved the food and can't wait to go back. First of all it's a nice setting and very clean. Staff were friendly and took plates away quickly with a smile. The choice of food was massive and clearly signed for which type of food was in what section. I only eat chicken and fish meat wise and loved the sushi as it was so fresh and had lots of chicken options which were all delicious. Especially the chicken dumplings, full of flavour. Husband is a big meat lover and was surprised at how good the wings and ribs were. My wee boy tucked into pizza, chips, and chicken nuggets (he said they were better than McDonald's ones). Then dessert. Omg the banana fritters and apple fritters were to die for, and the ice cream machine was a lovely touch. There was a great selection that all of us enjoyed. The refillable drinks are worth paying for as well. Overall we thought this was one of the best buffets we've tried in terms of choice and quality of food. Will be back soon.

Nice place to bring the family to. Loved a lot of the selection they had, but I didn't like a few that I had. It is very family orientated, which is nice. I would go again

One of the best places of its kind I have been to, good atmosphere good food great choices something even for the pickiest person.. Still a good eat just been and stuffed full.

Visited the Beijing Banquet on a busy Saturday night around 6.30pm . Was shown to our table straight away without any wait. The decor is outstanding. A lot of thought has went into the restaurant. Looks very plus and upmarket. Certainly doesn’t look like a budget restaurant. The food is good but not outstanding but far exceeds the price point. A wide variety of food on offer. On the weekend a chef is on hand offering tapas, cooked right in front of you. Steak, king prawns, squid etc. the chef is very pleasant. The restaurant is exceptionally clean. Staff are constantly collecting empty plates and wiping down tables. The staff our lovely, friendly and well presented. All smiling that makes the place feel more welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a simple, affordable dining experience.

😂😂😂 £93 for 2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 and 5! Daylight robbery and won’t be back. Do yourself a favour and support your local Chinese takeaway…. £93 would last you the month. 😂😂😂😂 £93!!

OK - so its a Chinese Buffet. Ive been to them before, in various places. This was my first time here, but I doubt its my last. Clean, well presented, personable staff with an excellent range of food stuffs from salads to sweets and many many points in between. An offer to quickly cook something for me without garlic - I was truly spoilt for choice so I had a sort of browsing lunch, a bit here, a bit there... I must complement them on the sushi which was rather excellent but to be honest, everything I tried was moreish - Happily go back again - Oh!! and they do a pensioner discount rate just to make to even better.

Excellent food wad my first time going and would recommend to anyone there is so much choices that even the fussiest of eaters would find something they like it was a very clean place and the staff were great and very accommodating.

We went for an impromptu date night on Saturday. We arrived at 5pm for the restaurant opening. The food was fresh and excellently presented. The staff are so nice and welcoming. I had soup & some duck pancake rolls to start, prawns & noodles for my main and some ice cream to finish off with. It is cheaper to go for lunch than dinner but to be honest, for the selection and choice it is absolutely worth every penny.

We were there for the lunchtime menu. It was not very busy which suits us, but wasn't empty. The staff are nice and friendly. Accessible entrance with a short but slightly steep ramp at the front door. We saw others there with walkers and scooters who were able to navigate with apparent ease and were seated in areas of their choice.

Been here a few times now and never disappointed. Food is always fresh, hot and plenty to choose from. When adding in the bottomless soft drinks, I think it's great value. Will definitely keep returning!

Smashing buffet, great selection. @ £16 for lunch time, I thought it a bit steep. I did have value for money, but my wife did not, for that reason, I doubt we will return.

Went for lunch midweek and wasn't disappointed. Lots of choice and something to suit everyone. Place was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

It challenges even the big eaters !! I personally had two ( decent sized ) starters, then, a very large ( OK, I was a bit of a pig 😳) main course …. followed by my sweet, and I must confess ….. just a wee bit of ice cream 👀 !!! I keep forgetting to take a wheelbarrow , or a trolley 🛒 to assist me back to the car 🤭, obviously you eat far toooo much, but it’s so good, and a very wide selection to go through. What ? Pictures !! Absolutely not, to busy eating 📸🥗

This was our first visit to Beijing banquet and we were quite impressed by the selections of starters and mains on offer but the desserts were very poor, they had a chocolate fountain with only marshmallows on offer, not a strawberry/banana/etc in sight, a very limited choice of ice cream, a weird horrible chocolate crispy thing and unflavoured popcorn and cakes that I've never heard of? Jelly cubes that tastied like they hadn't even set the jelly, it was like they just cut it out straight from the packet. Most of the mains were good but the chips and satay chicken were not cooked properly, it was very pink in the middle, so be wary! It's good but could be so much better! Edit- visited for the second time recently and things were just the same, the starters and mains were good but the desserts were not good, I didn't eat any!

To be honest I absolutely love the food fresh hot and a fantastic selection. The deserts was amazing ice cream 🍦 lots of flavours cakes marshmallow with chocolate fountain will certainly be back well worth the money 💰

A great range of dishes, wide variety of choices to suit basic tastes or people who are a bit more adventurous. Friendly staff, quick at cleaning up any used dishes etc. Well worth a visit

Great place if you are looking to eat all you want and try a wide selection of food. My only concern was children helping themselves to food without adult supervision and hand no hand sanitising stations at a buffet is asking for trouble.

Great as always good fresh food and a good selection of Chinese and normal kid kinds of food for younger ones or picky eaters

Just what we needed in the middle of a local power cut. The food was excellent and kept well stocked and fresh. Sweets were a bit odd but then that's universal for this kind of place. Recommended

I've been a few times over past 3 years. With family and friends. Food was beautifully present. Fabulous tasting. Drinks plentiful. Atmosphere wonderful. Staff very helpful and with a smile.🤗☺️ Very reasonably priced too.

I had a lovely meal when there but about 4 hours later I was hit with food poisoning. I was so ill. I ate prawns which I never do and I'm sure that this is the culprit. I won't be back due to this.

Great place to let young children try different foods and cultures

So we have been here a few times now and is normally very nice however today we went and the people in the table next to us were absolutely stinking however we said to the staff and they put us to another table but unfortunately it was all ready to late and we were all put off our food so it was a complete waste of £70 and it really put a bit of a downer on our daughters birthday dinner as this was her favourite restaurant to go out to and won’t be back now as they could see we had been put off our food and still charged us full price even though we had not ate anything apart from a plate of ice cream

Always a pleasure to eat here only draw back is that sometimes the food is not always warm enough. Chicken and sweet corn soup is the best ever,king prawn with ginger and spring onions amazing. Still haven't tried everything yet but I will endeavor to try 😂

Having never been before,I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was absolutely delicious. The choice of food was incredible,especially the honey chilli chicken! You also get unlimited juice if required. That was my own personal downfall,as the pepsi was flat. It was quickly dealt with by the fantastic staff. Have recommended it to friends and will definitely be back.

A good selection of various starters main courses and deserts the food is good but I would prefer it to be hotter

Lady was cleaning with dirty cloth then lifting handle of food containers with same cloth bits food falling in using it to lift trays of food ect walk out told the lassies at desk food contaminated withe her ok I’ll give you it cheap ate nothing not the point cheap got it free as we ate nothing it’s went down hill

Just visited the Benjing Banquet in Kilmarnock and whilst standing in the queue for food a woman started screaming and when I looked down there was a large rat running through the dinning area don't think I'll be back as if there is one there will.be more lurking around which now questions there hygiene beyond there lovely surroundings

Came here yesterday with my partner as we love to visit buffets together. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was amazing. Wasn’t too expensive either. The music playing was great, partner loved all the songs that came on. Our waitress was super friendly! The food was amazing! All tasted good and fresh! I loved the soy sauce which tasted homemade, still thinking about it now! The duck was probably my favourite, never tried such good duck in my life! There wasn’t one dish that we didn’t love here. And the desserts were beautiful! Would definitely come back here super tasty food!
