Lovely place, food was excellent. Went there before a show and they were very quick with our meal and we only had mains. But I can't wait until we can go back and spend a little longer and enjoy a bigger sample.

Brief: Food is 5-star, absolutely delicious but it’s expensive. You can check out their full menu & prices online on their website! Very nice ambience - the restaurant is underground and it has a really nice cave vibe to it. Just know that you will have no connection down there though. Food tasted exactly like what my family used to cook - whoever is in the back is chefing it UP. I got shish tawook (chicken skewers) with a side of rice and tabouleh, hummus, fries on the side, and you get complimentary pita bread as well. I also ordered the Kellaj but I’d say don’t get it; It’s literally two small pita breads stuffed with melted halloumi cheese for £8.99 which is not worth it. Everything else was top notch in terms of taste, and I CLEARED that bowl of hummus. The bill also cleared my card 😭 £9.50 for a singular bowl of hummus is egregious. I think getting platters for two is a better deal so if you have someone to come with you then maybe go for that. The prices are steep but I will guarantee that you will leave this place extremely pleased.

There were appetizers, main dishes, and desserts, and the food was delicious and fresh. The dinner exceeded our expectations and was incredibly affordable. This was an excellent choice for our Christmas get together. We are a group that meets weekly to walk and socialise in and around Bristol. The £10 lunchtime menu was the perfect combination of food that everyone enjoyed and great value for money. The relaxed atmosphere also helped us enjoy some lovely conversation.

We’d booked for 9 and unfortunately had to wait about 20/25 minutes before we were seated which was frustating. But the food made up for it! Absolutely amazing, we got a variety of dishes and they were out of this world. Definitely redeemed itself with the quality of food. Also a very cool restaurant design.

Visited last night with my colleagues for our staff party. Food was amazing and served in a timely manner. The service was outstanding, nothing too much trouble. Fresh mint tea finished the evening off perfectly.

Tasteless mishmash . I had the moussaka ... very weird bowl of aubergine based Ratatouille. Completely thrown . the restaurant was very busy so maybe I ordered the wrong food . The mezze was ok . Not impressed .

Our large party (28) had a brilliant experience. Wide choice of main dishes, and shared starter platters, were delicious. Restaurant was really helpful in accommodating food allergies and number changes, and service on the night was so friendly. We loved the atmosphere.

I ordered a mixed grill takeaway and was thoroughly impressed. The flavors of the meat were outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The accompanying chili sauce in the tub had a fantastic flavor that complemented the dish beautifully. The service was exceptional—not just in my own experience but also in how I observed other customers being treated during my short wait. Friendly, efficient, and professional. I would visit again

Wonderful Lebanese food restaurant in Bristol!! The restaurant is beautiful, tucked in an underground, the food is delicious and the service is great. Very good price, they accept cash and card. There is no coverage and they do not have WiFi.

This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. The filo cheese pastry barely had any cheese in it, leaving it dry and tasteless. The “spicy potato” dish tasted old, like it had been made the day before and reheated. The calamari was over-fried to the point of being tough and unappetizing, and it was served without lemon, which is basic for a dish like that. Even the sauces lacked flavor and tasted off. To top it all off, the portions were stingy and far from satisfying for the price. The entire meal lacked freshness, balance, and quality. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal.

I enjoyed an excellent meal here with some friends. The food was very tasty, and there was plenty of it. Service was also friendly and very efficient. The restaurant is located in a basement with an arched roof, and while the low lighting made reading the menu a little difficult, it had a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Had a great evening with colleagues. The lamb shank was amazing. Second time here, staff are polite and attentive to everyone's needs. Though there was 15 of us, the food was incredibly quick.

Set menu for 2 was amazing value, highly recommend. Food was really tasty, the mixed grill was seasoned to perfection. Would have been 5 star but the baklava was not good.

Arrived for our 7pm booking to be told we would have to wait 20 minutes - we called to confirm booking that afternoon with no mention they’d also booked a 20 person party for that time! 2 couples turned away whilst I was waiting to be seen, won’t be returning

Badly organised, food with no love, no garnish, I er cooked and from a box or bag. My god, you must try harder. A joke and £7 form300 ml beer. Totally guff experience. Non league food establishment and looks like relegation is on the cards.

Absolutely fantastic, delicious food. Cosy environment, and friendly efficient service. It was busy when we arrived on Friday evening, we were quickly seated, and orders taken promptly. Great range of mezze dishes, as a group of 4 we chose 3 dishes each which was a good amount. Everything I tasted was really delicious, satisfying, very well balanced, and very fresh tasting. Fava beans (foul) were amazing, spicy lamb sausages and spicy salad also really good. Spicy salad has a good dose of fresh green chilli, which was perfect for me. Everyone found their dishes super tasty, and the food arrived very quickly. Would love to come back and explore more of the menu!

If you visit there for eat something you have big opportunity chatting during your mea with your partner because they have not WiFi and your phone internet can not use not possible.

I came in with my family and friends and the waiters were extremely friendly and attentive the food was amazing and I recommend lamb chops . They were perfectly cooked and seasoned they were also moist and tender. Overall this is a place I would come to a lot the atmosphere is calm and lovely music is played.

Oh! My! Days! I love this restaurant! Firstly, it’s in what was once a wine cellar! From the moment you step down the stairs into the restaurant you’re set up for an intimate meal with amazing food! And lots of it! They advise about 3 mezzes per person or one mezze/side with a main meal. Naturally I ignored this and had 4-5 mezzes with two of my fellow diners having the “sharing platter for two” one each! 😁 It was a glorious meal! I will definitely eat here again when I’m next in Bristol! Such a find! Thank you Beirut Meze. (I don’t know about disabled access as the main entrance is a standard door down a flight of steps.)

I was really surprised to saw a wonderful decorated restaurant in the basement.the atmosphere was really peaceful.me and my friends ordered some starters and a main course each .we found that every food was awesome especially the falafil and hummus in starters and in the main the grilled chicken cubes and the lamb shank was juicy and tasty. both food and the services was brilliant.

Been tonight. I'm Lebanese and this is not Lebanese cruise. Shocked most the food from frozen shops and they just heat it. Very small amount of food in main course and as mentioned its not chief cooking its frozen food from shops.. First and last time I go there as not Lebanese food at all

The food was bad for the price u pay, the food bought from frozen shops and reheated,,, juice was only little in the cup and the rest is foam ,, also this is not a Lebanese Food ,

I love the food in this family run and family friendly eatery in the heart of Bristol. Set in a former wine cellar this long standing establishment has many long term fans, including me. The eponymous mezze are outstanding, especially the super smooth hummus and smoky babeh ghanoush! The mains are always generous and perfectly spiced, (you can choose non spicy versions of many dishes), and you can find excellent Lebanese wines to pair.

Great place to eat. I can recommend the mezas

The lamb shank was a total star. The platter for starter was also recommended, just be aware the portion is big so leave some room for the main.

Delicious food and great service

First time visit, and had the lunchtime special. Food was very tasty and great value. Service was helpful and attentive and was fairly busy for late Sunday lunch. Will go back and try some more of the menu as v jealous of what regulars were eating.

A nice friendly restaurant - quick service but didn't feel rushed. Having lived in the middle east I can get a bit critical about this type of food but the Beirut Mezze delivered. The falafel was great but the foul was so good and reminded me of sharing breakfast with my work colleagues many years ago. We will definitely be back.

Ate at lunchtime with their lunchtime menu which was excellent -" starters and a main under a tenner. It was very quiet but I can imagine it's bustling in the evenings It's a lovely venue underneath the old city.

Beirut Mezze is set in a sort of cellar, don't worry there are exits at both ends. We were met by an enthusiastic member of staff who seated us within second. Drinks and Meals were ordered, a sharing platter for starters which was delicious (except the Baba Ganoush isn't for me personally) then we had the Mixed grill for main. It was served with just the right amount of rice and was very tasty and not too spicy that we couldn't eat it. I had the grape drink with rum but could not taste any rum which was pointless - it was just a grape drink so they may want to look at this. Overall a good experience so would recommend.

My daughter wanted to take me to her favorite restaurant, I can see why, there was a good selection of food and dishes I've never tried before, we had a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes all very tasty and served fresh and hot, reasonably priced, so I'd definitely recommend you give it a try.

The lamb and beef skewers were really very good. Some of the 8 starters as well. Be sure to include them, these are just small bites.

I really like Lebanese food, and when you've been in the UK for a few days, the cooking with olive oil is appreciated, it's great, the service is good, the place is a little overwhelming, but it's worth it

A great value for money and quality for money place, on an unexpected underground restaurant. We had the Mezze set menu and everything was delicious. Hommous, spicy potato (the best), falafel, lamb meatballs, salad, calamari, vine leaves, meat filo pastry. We had the lamb shank as main. Finished with coffee & baklava.

Love the food and also the whole experience - the restaurant is cozy and there's always a good buzz. The only thing is sometimes you'll have lots of waiters coming to check in with you and sometimes you'll wait for half an hour.

Fantastic place a little tucked away in Bristol city centre so feels like a great find when you find out it's a cellar with a lovely warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food. They have a very varied menu with many options for meateaters and veggies, alongside a large drinks menu which includes Lebanese drinks. As far as I'm aware, the food is authentic, and it's delicious. The portion sizes are also very generous, which is great value for money.

The food was average - some dishes better than others. Some of the sides ordered as a platter were not eating fresh (e.g. meat spring rolls). The prices were slightly on the higher side for what the food quality is. Would probably have to think hard before coming here again to be honest!

The food was excellent 👌 The food quality to price ratio was very good. We got the lunch deal (9.99£) and it was a good amount of food for the price. Very polite service. It was a quite hidden and a bit dungeon-y, but don't let that distract from the good food. Would recommend.

A fantastic dinner choice with a variety of really delicious vegan options. Staff were very attentive and friendly. It was comforting to see that our server was very aware and knowledgeable of our vegan requirements. My only feedback was that I felt after seeing some of the dishes, a few seemed a bit overpriced for what we actually received, and some plates were a little on the smaller side but we had 6 between 2 of us and left with full stomachs. I’d say that Fava beans was my favourite dish!

This restaurant communicated well after our booking for 10 people. We were seated quickly and our drinks orders were taken within 15 mins of sitting down. The restaurant looked to be at capacity so we were surprised how soon our orders came. However, one of our party had to wait for theirs hence the 4* review.

Definitely wasn't traditional Lebanese food, it was more of an Indian! The Kofta was basically not Kofta. The rice is not even close to Arab/Lebanese way of cooking. The tabula, was not even lose to the very famous Lebanese tabula. The sauces were an Indian taste. We were so confused then we asked if the chef is Arab/Lebanese because for sure the food has nothing to do with Lebanese’s kitchen. We believe that it was a Lebanese restaurant before because all the photos and pictures were from places in Lebanon. We assumed that this one with the one above are own by an indian investor. Not sure why the owner need to miss lead the customers 🤔

Dirty restaurant. The rice was old and hard and 99% of the mezze we had was most certainly frozen and tasteless. We ate because we were hungry. Left restaurant feeling very disappointed. 3 members of our group (including myself) woke up the next morning with our stomachs doing somersaults,and spent half the day running back and forth to the toilet. Absolutely do not eat here! Filthy restaurant and below par food that made us very poorly. Waiters were friendly but it didn't make up for the experience we had...overall not good enough
