Awesome restaurant, great staff, amazing food and a real taste of Asia

Excellent for vegetarians and vegans. We rang in advance and the owner bought soya yoghurt for our poppadum mint sauce. The vegetarian/vegan section is massive and clearly labelled. The staff can’t do enough for you here and the food is excellent. Would definitely recommend

The curry’s were dry and bland.

Bengal is my trusted go to, but not great tonight. Over half an hour late and my Chicken Tikka Masala didn’t have any chicken!!! Lovely sauce but disappointing overall.

First time to Stafford so we were very happy that we walked past and gave this place a try. Friendly, efficient service and excellent food. The portions were large and being able to bring our own drinks was a bonus.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was exceptional—every staff member took great care of us and made us feel welcome. We tried the onion bhaji, fish pakora, lamb chops, tarka daal, prawn curry, and naga chicken curry. While everything was flavorful, the prawn curry and naga chicken curry stood out—they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian food with top-notch service.

We are regular customers from here and the food is usually amazing! But tonight it just didn’t taste right and we really wasn’t happy with the quality of the food, nearly £30 down the drain which we not happy about at all, food wasn’t good tonight.

One of the rices in our order was missing and in its place was another curry dish, feel sorry for the customer who ends up with two rices and no curry! Otherwise the food was good as normal.

We have ordered many times from this restaurant. Tonight the order was late, cold and to top it all off the quality very poor frozen chicken in my curry

This food is so good. They catered to my family members with spicy taste and more mild taste. I appreciate their effort, the food was authentic and cooked well. Place was clean and again the staff was friendly. Good price as well, will come again and recommend to others, (chicken tikka biryani and garlic naan I'd recommend).

Naga chicken curry 😍 mushroom pilau rice,😍peshwari naan 😍 Chips 👍 only thing that’s left from this takeaway is chips and naan bread we absolutely loved this meal tonight , just too stuffed to eat the chips n naan haha. Haven’t tasted proper Indian like this in a long long time ❤️

We've been having curry nights in Stafford for over a decade and have tried many eateries in town. We went to the Bengal Lounge for the first time around six months ago and have been regulars ever since. Great food cooked to your liking, nothing is too much trouble and off menu requests are often catered for. It's unlicenced so you'll need to supply your own tipple of choice. Friendly service and newly refurbished too. What's not to like!

So pleased we decided to dine here in the evening on our visit to Stafford. A lovely small restaurant serving outstanding Indian cuisine. Right from walking in, the chap (I assume is the owner) greeted us and got us seated... provided with menus and orders taken for drinks. We had poppadoms, pickles, starters and mains - all were superb. Poppadoms were thick and crispy with some tasty pickles to accompany them, starters full of flavour and good portions too - the main dishes (Chicken tikka masala and chicken madras) were some of the best we have had. Beautifully presented, good portions and sooooo tasty. Thankyou to all there - staff and chefs for a great evening, we will see you next year!!

I would like to thank all the Staff at the Bengal Lounge for the excellent customer service they showed when my wife & I visited on Saturday 20th July, the food was absolutely delicious, We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent, total professionals, we will definitely be calling again.

We were in Stafford for the weekend and decided to have a meal at the Bengal Lounge before heading home. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff so friendly and attentive. Great value for money too!! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Cannot recommend highly enough.

First time we have tried this restaurant delivery was five minutes early, which is great. The food was fantastic with minimal oil which is always good, Nice and hot on delivery and overall very good quality. Will definitely use these guys again.

Chicken was hard, chips were under cooked & the naan bread was stone cold. wont be ordering again. waste of £24 pound!

Long wait for delivery and then arrived late . Luke warm. Potatoe and onion banjo starter tasted of nothing but oil. The lamb in the curry was old, the king prawn is a frozen alternative not a real king prawn. The chicken is dry and the shaslick was hardly cooked. The balti is not a balti at all - it’s a basic to store based curry with no spice and came in a container full of oil sitting on the top. I received half a naan not a full naan. My egg fried pilau rice was egg fried basmati not pilau. Extremely disappointing food.

Tasty but it was the wrong meat in the curry, was too hungry to send it back/ get it sorted.

Ordered exactly the same as I normally do,very poor,warm and tasteless,I have had the same issue before,not sure why things change so much,always used to be of good quality food and piping hot,only difference this time was it was ordered on a Saturday night but surely that shouldn’t make any difference.

The food was 30 mins late, spicy chips lacked any spice and were only warm and not fully cooked, certainly not worth the money. Jalfrezi was covered in oil. Chilli & Cheese Naan bread was tasty.
