Bengal Relish in Walsall

Visited with friends on Friday evening. We had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely gorgeous! We all really enjoyed our meals. I would 100% recommend this restaurant Will definitely be returning soon.

Beautiful food as always , lovely fresh poppadoms and nanbreads soft and juicy .all main meals tasty . Floater coffees great .service second to none . Spotless facilities . See you again soon !

First time visiting Bengal Relish and what a superb meal. All five of us throughly enjoy our meals, fresh, tasty and authentic. Staff were tentative and friendly. Highly recommend, will certainly be returning.

I have been going to the Bengal Relish noww for about 7 years and I have never had a bad meal there. Shah the owner is very friendly and some his staff. The place is lovely and clean and nothing is too much trouble for them. I'm currently in Malta as I write this but I can't wait to get back to have a decent meal there. I always have the chicken Tikka Madras and it really is amazing. I don't think there is an Indian restaurant anywhere that can top it. Keep up the great work Shah and I'll see you next week,

A suprise 50th birthday curry for other half last night. There was 24 of us. The food and service was amazing. Everything delivered correctly and beautiful, steaming hot and very tasty. Can't thank Shah and staff enough.

i have been going to this resturant for over 10years.but last night will be the final time i visit.the owner has completley lost his way with customers .he was rude ,no welcome at all it was as if he did,nt want us there!.no popodomms and chutney were offeredsomething that all resturants should give .i mean what is the cost of a popodomm? we had to ask for a jug of water! i chose king prawn+chicken curry.2 king prawns,2pieces of chicken! my son had mixed grill at£9.50 very small compared to desi pubs.mine was£10.so won,t be going ever again,poor service,poor food!bengal relish your going to lose a lot of customers if you carry on like this!

I go to this place on average every 6 weeks and have been going for the last 6 years. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. Occasionally I get a hard piece of Chicken but you get that wherever you go. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The food is very reasonably priced and as it's not licensed you can take your own drinks which makes the visit even cheaper. It's not a big place and for me that makes it more cosy. They will make your dish to suit your taste, all you have to do is ask. I noticed a photo of some chips on here that didn't look the best but that must have been a one off because the home cooked chips are to die for. I always come out in pain because I have eaten so much. Thanks to Shah the owner for looking after us!

The menu was clearly written and laid out, with reasonable prices. Food was tasty, hot (temperature), and well spiced. Had veg Jalfrezi, which not all restaurants or takeaways do. It was slightly hotter than at some places, but prefer that to not spicy enough. Also enjoyed a garlic cheese naan and stuffed paratha which were a good size. There were 10 of us, we all enjoyed our meals and the service was prompt, friendly and attentive.

Yes all good only thing that's stopped 5 star is there isn't a lot of meat in the curry but don't be put off every thing else is fine

Omg ordered from here a few times in the past and its always been great however tonight I'm so disappointed, all the food is so so cold.. the fish pakora is breaded not battered the samosas are freezing and I don't dare even open my curry now im gutted

Another fantastic meal at Bengal Relish on Saturday. Friendly and polite staff, great atmosphere and beautiful food. Bengal are not licenced to sell alcohol but there are two well stocked off licences just over the road and Bengal will gladly supply you with the glasses you need. It is advisable to pre-book as they are very popular

Quite possibly the worst take away order to ever disgrace my pallete, the naan bread was completely tasteless despite the fact naan is supposed to be sweet AND it was a tikka naan yet tasted of nothing, my mushroom "fried" rice was soggy?? The chips and onion bahjis tasted of burnt oil! The lamb korma was the only thing that tasted as it should and even then im entirely glad i decided to be boring and have a korma as thats hard to ruin

Rice was cold and tasted off, curry was watery. Tried to let just watch know about this and ended up with a phone call from the restaurant, the man was very rude and told me I shouldn’t of put the curry and rice together nor should I of put it on a plate and because I’ve done that there is nothing he could do about something solving the issue. So basically I’ve had no food and no money back! DONT USE THIS PLACE

Best Indian Restaurant and Food in Willenhall.

Hands down the best Indian in willenhall the only down side is they only put 5 prawns in the curry’s

The delivery driver seemed anti social and rude, also we ordered £53 worth of food, as we understand is a big order, there may have been some issues with it. As I have worked in the food industry before, the customer service received was appalling. The whole order was fine, except for one dish, when I rang up to notify them about the complaint, the worker on the phone was very rude and kept on arguing with the order. For example: I told him I ordered a king prawn jaipuri, only for him to tell me that I was wrong and said I ordered a chicken tikka dopiaza, which I told him was not true because I ordered King prawn, I told him many times to look at the receipt and even offered for him to come down and have a look at what I received. The disgusting thing was that he kept on arguing and telling me that, that was not the item I ordered. At this point I was very annoyed and dissapointed with the food, so I said to leave it. 5 mins later, I don't know which colleague rng me, maybe the boss, since his English was more fluent saying that they had made a mistake and they were sorry, I then explained to him that there was no need for all of this if only your colleague had read the receipt properly, maybe hire someone who can read? Then I asked what they would like to do about this, I said at the very least, refund me the dish that was wrong but he turned around and said that they were closed and since I paid cash they can do this tomorrow which is very unnacceptable. Also don't pay by cash, that was my mistake, if I paid by card, I could have instantly cancelled an order and received the refund from just eat. So everyone if you unhappy with the service and food of this place, there is an option to cancel a current order on just eat without notifying the restaurant if the restaurant refuse the help with the order. As you can tell I am not gonna order from this place again. And remember, cancel the order from your app if you are unhappy with the order if you have paid by card, the restaurant have no control over this.

Not the same as it used to be. Taste wasn't there. Curry was fairly bland.

Food was poor just warm to be fair was not very nice at all. Delivery kept getting pushed back unimpressed

The food took almost an hour and a half and the food had been reheated, cold on the outside and blistering hot in the middle.

I will ignore the £3.50 delivery fee when ordered with justeat... the food came fast and hot. It was the best quality and tasting curry ive had for and long time. If you ordered previously and was not impressed (like me), I suggest trying again. I had chicken tikka naga, was prefect!!!

Been eating here for a few years, just discovered Salmon tikka ❤️ food always fresh, service is always warm a friendly. Moshi (not sure if spelled correctly) is always on hand to give advice/recommend options when fancy a change. South Indian jalfrezi for the brave 🔥 🔥

The food wasn’t hot when it arrived had to microwave it, and the chips could be better other than that the food was nice especially the chicken korma for the children it’s so nice and creamy. Thank you.

We visited here earlier on in the month. Recently moved here so thought to try out some restaurants, find our favourite Service and food were impeccable and delicious. Love the range of sauces you get with the Poppadoms. Not many guests dining as the restaurant itself is quite small. Definitely will be back.

First time using, Fresh Hot Food, beautiful flavours and spice and excellent service all round 10/10 defo recommend and use again.

First time ordering from here and I’m impressed. The food was all hot and very tasty. Would order from here again. Only downside is how artificially coloured the neon green mint sauce is. Looked like the hulk got over excited.

Not my cup of tea , went with my girlfriend as a normal night out for a lovely meal but have in going to the Bengal thort is give it a try as they have moved to a new premise looks nice but the food that me and my girl f had was absolutely bland no taste of flavour just like frozen curry .. we did how ever had starters like wich was lovey sheep kebab and somosas wich u can get three of each chicken meat or veg .. but my chicken balti and my girl f Checken tikka mosola was not tasty at all I’m sorry mate but this is the last place I will go however we wer hungry and still ate half of it but that all..Price was reasonable also take ur own alcohol not bad at all save money in one way by taking ur own. Anyway as I’m going to go back to my old place wich is been there long time befor u guys wer ever open wich is the Jewel. So sorry about the food That let us down but the waiters were just realy nice and polite but the boss I don’t know the manager or what but there wer some shouting going on in the kitchen I probably gues the chef left after having a argument with the boss or the manger but there u go something is wrong there .. we did not complain at that moment as we just not going to go back there so there was no point of raising any complaint for our food .. We wer just not that bothers to say anything to the manager there but anyway that’s my point of view I like to share.

Visited on the 7th September for a birthday/ anniversary meal with family and friends. As a group of 14 we all got served beautifully hot and tasty food at the same time. The service as 2nd to non. My 6yrs old will not always want what’s on the menu but it’s no trouble to amend this for her slightly. She also loves the chocolates that she receives . Very reasonably priced and you can take your own alcoholic drinks in. I’d 100% recommend for eat in or takeaway food.

After ordering our takeaway for a birthday meal for our son the food was stone cold, chips curries and tandoori julet chicken,very disgusting will never use again.

Been coming here now for 15 years plus but under the current owner, Shah, the standards which were good, got even better. Excellent food, superb service and a very friendly welcome. I have been spoiled by The Relish as everywhere else I go simply doesn't measure up to The Relish. The staff group are superb. Best wishes, Paul and Karen.

The B R has been around for some time now so it must be doing something right. I find it much better since moving into its relatively new clean well presented premises. A family friendly place with tightly fitted tables means it can sometimes be "lively" . The food and service is hard to fault and the prices are very reasonable, especially the salmon tikka starter. If I did have a whinge it would be that the menu choice is possibly too big. By this I mean that you may find that there is actually very little to choose between the dishes especially some of the "Specials". Not really an issue but sometimes less is more.Take your own booze and enjoy.

This place never fails to amaze. Superb food, wonderful attentive and caring service and great prices too. The bonus of being able to take your favourite tipple is the icing on the cake.

Dual dish Orders available with half portions so you can try something different without worrying that the whole meals a bust if you don't like it.

Lovely wee place. Great and varied menu and very well priced. Portions were good and our meal was well presented. Friendly and efficient waiters. We would visit again when in the area.

I can't speak highly enough of this place! My 84 year old dad who would never go to an Indian restaurant now loves it and is even trying slightly spicy starters- the mixed platter is great with amazing onion based sauce. Service always delightful. Book though!

Been here quite a few times, staff very friendly, food always good and reasonable prices, again you can take your own drinks in which keeps the price down. Not the biggest of places but very good atmosphere always book just in case.

My hubby used to visit this restaurant regularly a decade or more ago. We found ourselves on holiday and in the vicinity this evening and a table was available. Quick and very polite service, fantastic food, tasty and hot. We are going home tomorrow, but will definitely be back.

This place should be number 1. Service is faultless, food is faultless, price is faultless. Booking is essential for a very good reason!!

We had this restaurant recommended so we thought we would give it a try. It was very quiet when we went but I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness. It didn’t stop there because the menu is very varied and extremely sensible prices. The restaurant is unlicensed so you can take your own alcohol. We have had quite a lot of curries over the years and our meal at Bengal Relish certainly met our high expectations.

Always need to book for this place as it always seems busy! Very attentive service and perfectly cooked food made with care and attention to detail. No licence so take your own Saves a few quid although prices are very good anyway.
