Benito Lounge in Manchester

What a lovely place. The selection on the menu is excellent with plenty of really healthy options - lots of grains and vegetables in many dishes for example. The staff are incredibly efficient and charming. The interior is quirky and comfortable but what I love so much is that there is a real mixture of young and old, cool and uncool, kids and dogs. It is so refreshing, especially in somewhere like Chorlton, to find somewhere where it seems that all ages and types of people feel comfortable and mix so happily.

Perfect for meetings friends and colleagues.

A pretty good spot overall. The food was decent but could have been better. Came here for a Christmas dinner with friends, and it was a pleasant experience. The highlight was definitely the staff – Katie and Kayla were exceptionally friendly and welcoming!

Stinks of dog and musty old furniture with dingy horrible lighting. The food is cheap nasty ingredients and its full of annoying people screaming babies and always dirty. Super unhygienic letting dogs into a food area, very white trash vibe in here avoid its awful especially for the price. The local takeaways are better than this failure of a restaurant.

Me and my 2 friends had such a lovely dinner here!! The food was so amazing, the quality, the taste, good value for money, just really good well made hearty food. Vibe is really good. Was busy but not overly busy, it’s so good so i’m not suprised! Food serving time took around 20 mins for food, but myself and my friends were really impressed and are definitely coming back! Under £20 for a good feed and a soft drink! Not bad for what you get.

Where do I begin, I’ve been visiting this fine establishment for years and the service has always been immaculate ✨Today I met a lovely young man wearing a red bandana around his head, with a dashing smile and a passion for excellent customer service (with a smile). He had a cracking sense of humour and was everything and more you’d expect from a server. Promote this man effective immediately!!!! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the informal atmosphere in this place. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is good. Good mix of alcoholic drinks and hot beverages.

You order everything and pay via a website which you scan at your table. Waiting staff bring out the food, so there is very little in terms of "service" to comment on, however, staff are friendly.

Amazing large breakfast- I was still full at bedtime!

Had chocolate torte and salted caramel latte the mum had strawberry milkshake. Desert was delish and mum enjoyed her milkshake. Service was amazing as well ☺️

Love this place for a chill evening. Breakfast is served all day which is perfect and the menu is tweaked every now and then which keeps things Interesting. There are GLUTEN FREE options also! The staff are always wonderful and the atmosphere unbeatable. I believe dogs are welcome and doggie treats and menu items are also available (super cute). Overall just a vibe. Morning evening or night 👌🏼 10/10

Lovely staff but quickto give call for last orders at 9 25 but advertised open till 1 0 so should advertised earlier.. plus toilet checks was 9 am but nothing more tonight navaro is better tbh

Whenever I come back home (to Manchester), I always try to visit here for breakfast. The full breakfast and also the triple stack pancakes are my favourite! I just love the ease of ordering off your phone and you'll be so pleased with how quick after you've ordered the drinks and food arrives. Great place for families of young children too!

Enjoyed a chilled weekend lunch here with friends. Very quirky style that's almost steampunk and a haberdashery of what feels like different styles. The food was tasty, a good size and I enjoyed the visit. I knew what I wanted, but if I didn't, the menu was big enough to provide choice without being overwhelming and pretty standard prices.

Nice place. It's often pretty noisy here—but it's a biggish place so the sound carries. The food is always fine, although they have taken sourdough off the menu, which means there's lots on the breakfast/brunch menu I can no longer have, sob, but there are lots of other nice dishes. The breakfast is good and the staff are always really lovely in my experience. OH! and it's honestly the nicest iced coffee you'll get in Chorlton! Hands down :)

I don't know much of the atmosphere as I chose to sit outside, but the coffee was very good, and I tried their biscoff slice and it was super rich, very enjoyable. The service was perfect too, and they give great dietary information on their order page. Overall, 👍👍👍!

I really enjoyed the food and my coffee. The personnel was polite and my order came fast through the online ordering system they have. One thing I didn't like was the noise. People's voices made this experience not as pleasant as I was expecting it to be. If you don't mind noise it's a good place to visit for brunch and/or lunch.

The All day breakfast was nice with a cute little tomato shape of bottle for you to get an igable photo :) 🥫🍅🍳🍞the watermelon drink is also good🍉

Such an amazon place. They have soooo much to choose from. I'm often found doing breakfast with a double gin... 😂 Such a great atmosphere, the staff are sound, service is great and food amazing. Totally a fave of mine.

I ordered the iced honeycomb latte, quite different to the usual lattes you get. I ordered the pulled beef ciabatta with chips, it was not dry and the bread was nicely toasted with cheese. It is slightly pricey for what you get, as you have to order the fries separately. Their menu has a lot of variety to choose from, so there is something for everyone. It’s a great place for meet up for mums as it has plenty of high chairs and space for prams.

2 cocktails for 12.45 m to f 5 to 7 couldn't taste the alcohol in the long island... avoid food good value and usually nicely done

I just come to tell you that please do not order an extra portion of onion rings without knowing this first. Yesterday I visited the place and they gave me 3xOnion rings for £3.35 (that’s what I payed for that extra side portion), pretty average-smallish size (maybe 1-1.5 inch in circumference), so each onion ring costs £1.11. If you don’t mind, go for it!

Everytime I visit, the service is OUTSTANDING. A great team, friendly staff who are professional and respectful. The Chefs are always on point, best breakfast in Manny!

Great food, great service , relaxed atmosphere with a smile

It's a nice relaxed atmosphere, but I was disappointed when I ordered a lounge burger. The burger was fine, but for £12 the portion of chips was ridiculously small. Serving them up in in a small cup like holder didn't make it any more acceptable. It wasn't value for monet For that reason I won't return.

Decent food and prices, worth it

I was ready to dismiss this as a chain place but it's actually pretty great! Food is good value and tasty and the staff are lovely. They did their best to accommodate a group of us when we turned up without a reservation with 4 prams 😂 I'd certainly recommend to anyone with kids or dogs or if you're wanting a quick catch up with someone.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food was lovely and a good portion size. Staff are friendly and helpful and I can definitely recommend it.

Really nice bar for events, family gatherings and get together. I attended a sip and paint , did not get to do the painting but me and my girls got a bottle on the house xxx

The food I had I really enjoyed it, so much so I've been in twice in a week and had the same meal (Bang, Bang Chicken). And what I like about this place is you don't have to have alcohol so I had coffee. The guy that presented the stuff to us was very nice & polite.

Ordered the lounge eggs with bacon, and, fries with garlic and parmesan. Disappointed by the size of the fries, barely any parmesan, and the hollandaise doesn't seem to be fresh but rather from store bought, the eggs and the bacon were good. The mocha was nice.

I used to live in Chorlton and tried this place a few times. The beer was always good however both times Ive had food either myself or my partner has had problems. The first time I went I had to send mine back because there was zero meat in the dish. Re-ordered a burger because its difficult to get wrong. Second time I went my partner was very ill after the meal. I've just noticed theyve opened another bar in Macclesfield which i'll probably visit for a beer but I wont be going near the food until im sure the staff are different/competent.

On a recent visit to see family, I went here twice. I visited late afternoon and then late morning. The late afternoon visit was go. I liked the interior. It was busy. I thought we had to wait to be seated but soon realised that wasn’t going to happen. After finding a table I also realised this was almost a self service venue. You seat yourself down. Order from your table via QR code, or you can go to the counter to order. You can get a glass of water and even your own cutlery. When ordering through the QR code you have the option to pay a tip. Considering how much I had to do myself, I decided not to. What was I tipping the staff for. The only thing they did was bring your drinks and food to the table. The food was nice. We had burgers and tapas, elderflower cooler, milkshakes and a warm hot chocolate with marshmallows. There was an Art class taking place which looked good. On the second visit late morning with different family members, we had brunch. 2 rounds of toast, tea cake, full English breakfast, hot chocolate, elderflower cooler, latte and ice tea all come to £40.75!!!!! WOW!! Expensive breakfast. It tasted nice but was it worth it, definitely not. But the environment was nice and a lot busier than the day before. People were waiting for seats. Would I go a third time? I’m in no rush especially with those prices. But I would recommend for a different environment. I look the decor especially all the vintage looking paintings. .

Dreadful. Tried to book a table for 9 people for Sunday lunchtime. Told don't take bookings before 4pm. We had 2 small children and a disabled adult and were told we'd have to stand and wait. Was a regular customer before this, will never go again.

Delicious food, really nice staff and service. A really homely place, not at all pretentious with a friendly atmosphere suitable for teen, mum and granny. We love it and visit regularly.

Food was definitely microwaved and not fresh. I got the vegan mexican bowl and it wasn't nice. My girlfriend had the vegan burger and that was nice though. Tasty drinks. I would recommend going there for drinks but not food. Good, open space. Saw lots of people playing boardgames and it's the perfect space for that. Felt wetherspoons adjacent.

I've been here twice. The last time everything was fine. I didn't eat, but had coffee & tea. HOWEVER, the first time I went there 5 years ago, shortly after my food was delivered, a wet & muddy man walked in with his two wet, muddy, rough looking dogs! He got two bowls of water for them, & when they lapped it up, he whipped out a can of dog food & fed them! He was seated next to our table & I feared fleas could jump into our food. We weren't aware they were a dog friendly restaurant/bar, which I'm not against for others, but I personally don't want to eat around animals. It just seems unhygienic. I had to attend a drinks meeting there a week ago & had no choice but to attend. Thankfully there were no dogs this time, otherwise I'd have given the place one star. If dogs, food & drink are your thing, this is definitely the 5 star place for you. Without the dogs, I'd have given them 4 stars.

We Booked Benito Lounge for a Christmas meal for 34 of our Scout Volunteers, Katie and the team were fantastic and so accommodating. Food and Service were both fantastic! Thanks for having us!

Hi, my son took me here yesterday for my 🎂 Birthday, we shared Tapas. 2 were lovely but the squid was full of shell so we couldn't eat that. All vacant tables were full of dirty dishes. The waitress cleared a table for us. They staff were nice, so in all, a pleasant experience. Maybe an extra serving person would help. Prices were reasonable so I would go in again, it was busy so that tells me it is popular. Just dont order squid.Regards Joy Harrison.

Handy spot for brunch - plenty of tables so good if you're looking for somewhere in a group / last minute. Quite large place and you order through app so a little impersonal. Food is nice and large portions available.

Its our first visit, we ordered: Lounge breakfast: It came with bacon 🥓, grilled tomato 🍅, baked beans, hash browns, mushrooms, toast, sunny-side-up eggs 🍳, and sausages. The bacon 🥓 wasn't too crispy, but everything else was quite normal, and the sunny-side-up eggs 🍳 were perfectly fried 😻. Bang bang chicken: Turned out to be chicken chunks coated in a peanut sauce, served with stir-fried noodles and vegetables. It had a bit of a fusion twist and was surprisingly tasty 👍😀. Cappuccino and Cafe latte: Both were creamy and gave us a nice caffeine boost 👍. Overall, the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere 👍, and the food was delicious 😋. Nov 2023. More dogs and barking this time. Dog hair on the furniture. Unhygienic. I love Dogs but they are for home not for the restaurant. Not eating here again which is a shame. Sort it out Benito Lounge. Jan 2023. Encouraged by my last visit I went back. Nice burger but the entire meal I ate with a strangers dog begging food from me. Disappointing. Why are there not separate areas 😖 Back to 3 stars. Jan 2023 Better this time. No dogs, afternoon visit with lots of families, had a very nice burger and cocktails. 4 dogs inside Benitos, one on a chair. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend. Suggest you find somewhere more hygienic.

Good atmosphere food was great better than I expected the wine was ok.

Great menu and you can order either at the bar or on your phone from your table. Service is quick and friendly. Great options for vegan diet too. Nice atmosphere, shabby chic, artistic vibes.

My boyfriend has recently moved to Chorlton so we have been to Benito Lounge a couple of times, once for dinner and once for brunch. Both times we were really impressed by the quality of food for the price and the service was really quick. It has a really good vibe and friendly staff. I think this will be a regular place for us. (I didn’t take pics of brunch)

Great salads, good gluten-free options, food accessible for all puts you at ease eating out with lots of people with different dietary requirements. Steak was burnt and crunchy waisted alot of money it wasn't edible.

An absolute south Manchester staple. Best thing about this place is that it caters for everyone- has a really good vegan menu as well as everything else. The relaxed atmosphere is great for kids or large groups.

Cool, laid back place with a varied menu, quick service and nice atmosphere (surroundings and music are chic and bourgeoisie - which I like). Only thing stopping a 5 star review is the clientele - too many hippie parents who think their kids should be allowed to roam around the place!

Everything fine, but definitely overpriced.
