Best Western Lothersdale Hotel in Lancaster

Room 503 adequate, we had our dog with us and only two rooms on the ground floor available The room was next to the entrance and outside stairs, so noisy until midnight The main concern was the manner of the receptionist on the day and on our departure The card machine was not working properly.. apparently other IT issues also The receptionist tried 3 times to take £20 for the cost of our dog staying (extremely expensive) however apparently 2 attempts to take £20 failed on the third attempt it was apparently successful On further enquiry £20 x3 had been taken from our account I rang twice, emailed twice.. I rang again today 12/12/24 the receptionist said she had just seen my email asking about a refund In short we have to send screenshots of our account.. Best Western will check with their bank In summary my big concern and upset is the manner in which I was spoken to today, disappointing,disrespectful, demeaning … that is how I felt… the intention may not have been so but thats how it made me feel Hopefully this will be resolved

Clean, nice basic room in an ideal location by the bay

Expected very basic and it is, extremely basic, clean, but all very tired. Staff initially helpful however, Room has no main light. Bedside light has faulty connection flashing on and off, clearly unsafe - Staff disinterested will send electrician in the morning - no other room available - I’ve been driving all day and not well, refund has to be processed blah

Lovely sea front hotel with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant.

Very dated would not recommend small TV no glasses in the room could hear noise from reception from our room noise from above our room from 6 am from restaurant front door banging at the side of our room every time people went through it booked a room with outside area but had no view due to construction vans parked outside they were staying at the hotel no frills wouldn't recommend

Absolutely amazing experience me and my company came here with a few 9f our clients and our experience was just amazing overall, the staff catered for all of our clients and their unique requirements, the food and drink was amazing also the restaurant was also family and children friendly

Excellent service, staff were really helpful especially Margaret looking after our bikes. Rooms were clean and sufficient for what we needed. The food was lovely and good value. The Aspect bar on the front of hotel is a fantastic location for sitting chilling with a drink.

Nice budget hotel. Menu looked great but didn't eat here.

Stopped here a few days over Easter hols, location near town centre, parking across the road at £8 a day, check-in went smoothly, staff friendly, hotel is clean, but our room was very small. The only thing you have to be aware of, that they fail to mention, is that there is a £50 deposit on the room for damages (a con) Been back a week, still no refund from the hotel, messaged them asking where my money was, no reply from the hotel, this is a big money making scheme if they do this to 100s of guests, I won't be using the Best Western again.

absolutely amazing hotel, came up with my girlfriend and her parents. Staff were really pleasant, room was really clean and organized. Breakfast was delicious. All of it was spot on, hope we will be back soon.

Hotel is under construction, they had scaffolding board's all over the corridor,room was clean but small. We were made to give £50 deposit on top of room hire, no where on website does it state this, receptionist was rude and abrupt.

No photos to attach sorry, Reception staff very rude. Room very small and old fashioned. Shower very small, waste of money, I can't actually say anything good about the place. I went to reception complain about the service and room and unfortunately they wasn't bothered, just wanted the money for the stay. I didn't expect too much from a 3 stay hotel but isn't difficult to be polite

One of the worst hotels can think off and staff was so rude was meant to stay 4 days had to pay £50 out of my own pocket which they said we would get back when we leave and we didn't even stay the ,4 days we left after 1 night because it was absolutely shocking still not received the £50 back that we had to pay! And we didn't use anything in the hotel... Would not go here if I was you!

There for after funeral refreshments, good selection of food, well presented and served by friendly staff.

I have been to a few functions here in recent months. The staff are excellent. The buffets are good. The venue is clean and airy with several places to find a quiet spot. The views from the Aspect Terrace are brilliant.
