Don’t know where the good reviews are coming from. Food atmosphere setting poor. We won’t be going back. You may have us as a now show, but we were there, how could I write a review if I wasn’t. Also how could I comment won’t be “going back” !!

Had a great meal at BYP. Delicious dim sum, really crispy duck. Service was great. A member of our group had food allergies and they were totally on the ball. Five in our group, all different options. Everything was enjoyed! 😊

The food was so fresh and hot. The plates were also hot, which I think is essential. Staff were really friendly and asked if we would like to have a little break between our starters and main course. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Manchester. Also reasonably priced.

The food and atmosphere was superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. There is usually a wait because of their exceptional Cantonese dishes so it's always advisable to call ahead of time before visiting. You would love it.

We’ve been to Blue eyed panda many times it’s our favourite Chinese in Manchester and we recommend to friends. Unfortunately yesterday we ate there and the meal was spoilt because the restaurant was so cold despite having a thick winter jumper on. We asked them to turn the heating on but were offered to move next to a small heater which didn’t much help. Food got cold quickly and couldn’t enjoy as felt so uncomfortable. They really need to rectify this as usually such a great experience.

Es nuestra última cena en Manchester con mi amigo de la infancia , tuvimos unas maravillosas vacaciones de Navidad de 10 días con mi familia y muchos viejos amigos aquí , Manchester cambiar a la increíble Century Modern City , pero muy caro para vivir , el Blue Eye Panda se encuentra en el norte de Manchester , no es un lugar elegante pero muy acogedor ambiente limpio moderno , cómodo stand sentado personal amable (propietario ? ) menú es auténtico estilo cantonés mucha elección no precio , estoy impresionado la calidad de la cocina wok y muy fresca calidad buena porción , mis platos de sabor son el fideo Singapur , S/ P langostino , pero cada plato simplemente sabor a prueba , honestamente es uno de los mejores restaurantes que hemos estado comiendo durante los últimos 10 días , es Hidden Gem en Manchester ! ¡Felices fiestas! ¡Gran ciudad para visitar!

Mi amigo reservó para tener nuestra cena aquí usando First Table. Recibimos una cálida bienvenida a la llegada y la camarera fue amable y eficiente durante toda nuestra visita. Comí tostadas de gambas de sésamo para empezar y luego szechwan de verduras y arroz. Todo estaba bien cocinado, caliente, fresco y sabroso. El restaurante se llenó y parecía popular. Preciosa comida y volveremos.

Lovely Chinese restaurant, food was tasty, fresh and plentiful. Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Lily in particular was superb, nothing was too much trouble for her.

One of a party of 16 Saturday night. Excellent food and service. The only thing I could fault is that the door doesn't close itself and was sat in a draught every time someone went in or out. Staff did close it when they noticed but an easy fix.

Ordered your salt and pepper chicken tonight it had no taste at all it just tasted of fried chicken and chips was horrible thin frozen chips full of sprinkled pepper no onions so tasteless the money u change for this takeaway is terrible u need to sort it out and go back to the way it use to taste it used to be lovely I won’t be ordering again till it changes

Absolutely stunning Chinese, which these days is hard to find. They even left us a nice note with a menu to say that it would be cheaper for us to get takeaway and collect because the delivery apps take such a high fee, but sadly i don’t drive. However it’s worth the price because it’s so good we’ve even ordered again tonight! The Vegetarian Mock Chicken in sweet and sour sauce is the best meat alternative we’ve had. All the food tastes really fresh and well seasoned. We’re going to eat in soon it’s that good here

Visited for an early dinner on a Sunday, without a reservation. We’ve been here a few times before and really like the variety in the menu and how fresh everything is cooked/tastes. Would recommend our starters - the har gow, salt and pepper ribs. We share a mixed vegetable fried rice with our mains and to be honest, which was ok but not different/better enough that we’d do the same in the future rather than fried rice or noodles. My main was kind prawns in oyster sauce and it was amazing, with everything cooked well and my husband really enjoyed his mixed with black pepper sauce. Drinks are on the slightly pricier side but overall, prices are ok. Some of the serving staff are friendlier than others, but that’s often the way. Would definitely recommend.

Went to blue eyed panda with my mum today and we loved it. The atmosphere was great, the place looks really lovely inside. All very clean and tidy. Service was really good, we were served quickly and dishes arrived promptly. The food was gorgeous! We had the salt and pepper chicken and Chinese chicken with egg fried rice. Very reasonably priced as well!

Visitando Manchester y realmente me gustó un chino. Este lugar era muy recomendable. Tenía el pato crujiente y tortitas. Fue hermoso. El pato estaba crujiente por fuera y tierno por dentro. Se cayó del hueso y no todo seco, cocido en exceso y grisáceo como en otros restaurantes chinos. Sin duda volvería a pedir!

Fui ayer aquí para tratar fuertemente aconsejado a la sal y el chile no estaba mal tostadas de gambas buenas costillas tan resistentes como el curry de cuero era agradable en general buena comida

The food here is amazing but unfortunately it is too pricey. It is just a bit more expensive then comparable restaurants, I love to go out to eat but this is just slightly too expensive.

Top quality Chinese food in Manchester City centre. We visited before going to the UFC at the Co-op Arena. Me and my mrs both agreed it’s the best salt and pepper chicken we’ve ever had. The rice portions are big, we stupidly ordered two. Cocktails are worth ordering too! Service was quick for a Saturday night and very high standard. Defo reccomend.

We went for the lunchtime special. As a Coeliac I have been missing and have been craving a proper English style Chinese takeaway, this filled the gap. The full gluten free menu is brilliant and I was able to order all my comforting favourites, from sweetcorn soup to salt and pepper chips. I agree this isn’t exactly authentic Chinese food, but it brought back fab memories of Saturday night Chinese takeaway as a kid. The lunch special is great value for money, even including a small beer or wine for the price. The staff were welcoming and easy going, I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and excellent food. It is rather expensive but in my opinion worth it. The Salt & Pepper Fish & Chips was a unique dish that I haven’t seen anywhere else and was excellent.

Oh my days what can I say about this place.. The food is amazing. Delivers everything promised. Beautiful restaurant, very clean with excellent servers. We had a salt and pepper sharing platter as our starters.. from the crispy squid, to the crispy prawns, the crispy chicken wings to the crispy ribs every mouthful was a pure delight. So flavorful, fresh and crispy. With a just cooked temperature. Mains - I had the hot poached monkfish in chilli oil with glass noodles. Best dish I have ever eaten. If you like spice this is definitely one for you. My other half had Singapore Vermicelli and loved every mouthful. We will not hesitate to return here. And to our delight they also cater to takeaway. Worth the 20 minute drive for the quality. Blue Eyed Panda - thank you to all your staff for such a fantastic meal.

A group of 8 of us visited for a birthday meal. I didn’t even know this little gem was here with it being recommended to me. The staff were very friendly and offered advice too on menu choices. All of the food we had was cooked perfectly, piping hot and exceptionally tasty. The portion sizes were very good too. I realise it is personal choice but for me the food quality exceeded other places I have eaten at in Manchester’s China Town. I will certainly be visiting again!

Great restaurant this decent prices as well not very big portions but very tasty ..

Four of us went there for a meal, as it was recommended. We ordered sizzling mixed platter for two a 1/4 or a crispy duck to start. The pork rib in the platter was cold and bloody on the inside which it not expected and the crispy duck was tasteless with the poorest amount of spring onions and cucumber. We told the first waiter who said ok and cleared the table then took are drinks order. We mentioned it to our main waiter, who basically did say sorry about that and she would give chef a talking to. It didn’t feel that it was taken seriously. Main courses were ok, but the cost of the food outweighed the quality I would expect for an average cost of £15 per main. Never even got a discount off the bill for the platter with the raw pork. Will not be going again.

Do not ever order the supposedly braised beef brisket in Chinese curry sauce… this dish was definitely not beef brisket but a very cheap cut of beef braised and 70% fat, 30% meat at best. A definite miss and amongst the worst Chinese dishes I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. A definite miss!!

Went on a Monday night, a night that most good restaurants are closed; had a great evening. Attentive and friendly host/server who made us feel welcome and gave us some great recommendations. Good neighbour restaurant atmosphere. Dishes were familiar, strong and balanced! Although I wish we’d had ordered more vegetables! The best prawn toast I’ve had for sure. Bao buns great. Would love to go back and try more of the menu. Somewhere you could take your partner and your mum.

Great food as ever at the Blue Panda. We had the shredded duck, spiced chicken, filet steak and everything was brilliant. Couple of mistakes with the order was unusual but these were put right without incident. Recommended.

I honestly feel like a bit of a mug paying £15 per main item for something so underwhelming. We ordered a takeaway. The crispy beef tasted very bland and possibly burnt. The stir-fried vegetables were very soft and drenched in garlicky water. Sadly a case that cost isn’t necessarily an indicator of quality. My parents dined in here in 2023 and were very happy, so maybe we were just unlucky.

Sorry but place left us totally unimpressed . Dim sum portion sizes were tiny and distinctly average for the price we paid. I spent the whole evening in my coat as our table was near the entrance and the door did not close properly as people entered and left the restaurant. On a positive note, our waitress was warm and welcoming

The food was good - when it eventually arrived. The focus of service was on a table of 28. We had to wait. Nearly two hours hours. We received an apology and two free drinks. Nevertheless based on that experience I would not return.

We ordered delivery from Blue Eyed Panda. The food is very tasty and excellent quality of ingredients. The drawback is that it is a bit pricey for the quantity of food, there's not a huge range of options compared to other Chinese restaurants, and the dumplings didn't quite survive the delivery drivers bike ride from the restaurant.

Great food and very pleasant staff, booked off the cuff and party of 6 easily accommodated. Very well priced and very tasty food. Sizzling fillet steak dish and salt and pepper chicken were great. All the dishes were tasty and well cooked and very light. Well worth the reviews it has.

The wait staff were pleasant and attentive and were able to answer our questions about the menu without issue. We started with hot and spicy soup which was akin to what you'd get at any standard Chinese takeaway but was nice enough. We then tried to order mains and the waiter had to come back to our table twice as the first two mains we ordered weren't available (This was half an hour after opening with about a third of the restaurant being full). We eventually settled on crispy beef with schezwan sauce. The waiter warned us that this would be spicy and we agreed this would be fine. We were presented with a meal that was bland and lacking any spice at all. I don't mean not spicy enough, I mean not spicy at all. Like corn flour had been added to water with half a teaspoon of MSG. We also ordered vegetable fried rice that was too oily and lacking salt. We left most of the main and informed the waiter that the food was bland enough to warrant commenting on. He informed us that a previous customer had complained it was too salty and so the chef likely over-corrected; this would explain the lack of salt but not the complete absence of chilis. He recommended to ask for it to be more spicy next time and that he would inform the manager. He disappeared out the back, presumably to speak to the manager, but no manager was polite enough to come to the table to speak to us. The bill came to around £50 - £60 including one beer and a pot of tea. We wouldn't recommend or return.

went there last night with jimbo and work mates The staff were very welcoming all with smiles on their faces . they gave great advice on what they recommended . the food arrived quickly and the taste and quality was second to none . I would highly recommend this place and challenge anyone to find a better Chinese in Manchester

Booked a table Saturday 25 November 2023...This is our go to Chinese in Manchester....Had a well prepared and tasty meal yet again....I can honestly say that this restaurant is up there with the best 👌....

Le restaurant est d'un accueil chaleureux, les serveurs sont au petit soin, ils se démènent pour nous satisfaire. L'ambiance est très cosy, et les plats sont d'un gout si raffinés par la minutie du cuisinier,et la fraîcheur des aliments, que avons voyagé pleinement et avec plénitude dans le continent asiatique. Je vous recommande fortement ce traiteur qui est un magicien culinaire pour vos papilles dégustatrices..

Went out of curiosity of their homemade dim sum and wonton soup. All the staff were very nice and made a table for me without booking on a busy Saturday night. I cannot comment on other food (looks alright from other tables but more like what you get in British Chinese restaurant), but Blue eyed panda not somewhere to come for dim sum. I think the mixed dim sum were slightly over steamed and no different to ones bought frozen from supermarket. The Xiao long bao is dry inside. Wonton is ok, but not much taste in the soup base. Overall, a pleasant place and nice staff but average food that's a bit pricey.

In regard food quality, 10/10. So why only 4 stars ? well, portions are sufficient for one, but not the normal family style sharing size and prices are just a little higher than I thought was warranted. But honestly, I would return just because of the quality of the food.

I am reviewing while ordering bonus dish for me. I couldn't be more thankful to them for treating me with such a soulful food. They are extremely polite and professional. The food was hot and served quickly and was definitely fresh. I would highly recommend this place.
