Door staff very intimidating, though I understand need for security. Got asked to move tables mid game, staff not interested, charged for service to pour a pint as well. Beer pong fun but not enough room to play it properly downstairs. Upstairs is fine.

Overzealous would be a huge understatement when describing the staff at this venue, dangerous, threatening and violent would be more accurate and appropriate! Do not go to this venue as it is not safe, the door staff have attacked customers on more than one occasion....

We had 28 beers between 15 of us and were charged nearly 500 pounds. After being dragged into a private room and arguing our point, they realised their mistake and the bill was 140. We had already paid a 150 deposit and gave 150 cash on the night, they kicked us out and charged us the full 300 quid. We are submitting a complaint. Avoid at all costs.

Verging on fraud. I looked at the wine list and ordered a large glass of chenin blanc priced at £6. I was poured a different wine and charged £7. There wasn't even a wine listed for £7 on the list. I complained and was charged £6 which I paid by contactless. Went for a second glass and said I wanted the chenin blanc for £6. I was told they didn't have any of the wines on the menu as they had changed suppliers (wtf)? I was given less than the 250 ml and charged £6.75. I was also told that there was a £10 minimum charge for contactless! when I challenged the bar staff he made me try and point out who had served me last and acted suspicious that I was lying. My friend was given too much change! She tried to give it back but the bar staff argued with her. The bar staff put their fingers in her drink to give her some lime. Another friend was served her meal and less that 3 minutes later we were told to leave the table because it was reserved (there was no sign on it). So she ate standing up! What a dump!

It was by far one of the most delightful experience i have had in shoreditch, the staff is very helpful and accommodating, the food was decent though, we were a group of friends went for a birthday party, we were given a private area for ourselves, the manager made sure that we have enough staff to look after us. The food and drinks came out on time, we will def return.

Only went because a friend organised it. Entrance was £5 so I thought ok flyer said 2 rooms but when I got there they said the other room was closed for refurbishment I said fine but the drinks were really watery even tho we had doubles.

I went with my fella, sister and her fella for their bdays. I wouldn't say it was a place especially designed to play ping pong. They had 2 tables so luckly we booked and ok Groupon to, so was a good price. I was happy with the serves and we all had a great time. I wouldn't pay any more than I did for the evening as I don't think it is worth any more than it was. Would have like to have played doubles however they could only find 2 bats. But it gave us time to have a chat to each other I guess. Staff were helpful and polite. We all had a good evening but wouldn't pay any more than I did for the evening.

My experience of the place was awful from start to finish. Only had one guy serving because there was a party in the adjoining venue so we wasted 25 minutes of the hours ping ping we had already paid for waiting at the bar. When we were finally served, we were charged a service charge (!!) which is apparently discretionary but also, ludicrous. The drinks are expensive, the atmosphere is non-existent and the decor is awful. In summary, avoid this place.

Easily the worst bar in London, in every aspect ! Just look at the negative reviews ! In one of the greatest cities in the world with an amazing bar scene , you are spoilt for choice. Please do not waste your money or time with this one ! You'll find better all around just a few streets away !

Similar to all the other reviews this place is a nightmare for a party. Apparently only 1/3rd of your party should have a seat at the table and the beer pong was a without advertised beer The bar is rough but this doesn't stop than charging 7 quid for a single . Music is only saving grace but overall do not book a party here

Weirdest night ever. We booked for a Christmas work night out and had pre-ordered our food (3 course xmas menu). Table wasn't ready when we arrived. Nobody else was sitting and eating. When we arrived it was clear this venue was not really a restaurant. Felt like we were sitting in a nightclub/ bar. Food was terrible. Sorry but is was. Beer pong was fun though. They shouldn't offer food in a place like this.

Filthy place, rude staff, toilets are unhygienic . No water in the toilet flushes. It was stinking. They had finished most of the drinks. It took more that 25 mins to be served only to find out that they had finished most of the drinks and we were asked to go round the bar to fetch an empty jar for ourselves. Mannerless staff. The shots are over priced. I would never go again neither would recommend anyone.

Went their for friends do on Friday 16th Dec.Well, the toilets had no flush water, it repeatedly took 20 minutes to wait for service at the bar only to be told they had run out of many of the drinks, the bar staff were rude / unhelpful... did not offer alternatives. I was even told to go and find an empty used jug on any table, to bring it back so that they could use for my drinks! Then once found, another 20 minute wait!I understand sometimes unexpectedly bars get swamped with people but the staff attitude can normally overcome this, well not here, their I don't care rudeness will not be forgotten.After many years writing reviews on TripAdvisor, this one unfortunately is the first bad one.I will not be recommending or going to this place again.

When you go outside to smoke, they don't let you go inside if you are a little bit drunk, but actually they push you in the bar to drink. 40£ to book 2 hours beer pong + 20 £ to have beer to play. And after a smoke they don't let you go inside because you re a little bit drunk. This is the aim for a bar ! ! I won't let my friend and colleague go to in this bar. I booked a night with these guys for a group of 20 people, 17 turned up . Table was not organised on the night and even staff said the booking should not have been made due to lack of space to fit 17 people.Manager refuses to respond to my emails after taking a deposit of £450 and refusing to refund. I am investigating taking legal actions due to simple refusal of correspondence by email.

Having booked Sink Pong months in advance for a table when we arrived we were given the cold shoulder whilst stood in the rain. In the end we were moved into the blueberry bar next door with no apology or explanation. Once in the second rate venue we were left standing again so we took our deposit and run. Do not bother poor customer service much better places to go in London!

On booking for a 10 people in the sister bar 'sinkpong' and paying a £140 deposit. We was really looking forward to visiting.However on arrival we were told that they didn't have the booking. We however should the emails and the paid deposit. They then confirmed the mistake however refused to honour the booking. 10 of us were told to wait in the rain whilst they talked among themselves, we found this unacceptable. After 30 minutes in the rain, they then told us we booked a table that held no more than four people. They were uncooperative and unfriendly, caring more about keeping the deposit then helping us. After wasting an hour of our time and at this time looking like we swam the River Thames , we were decided to take our night elsewhere.

I had great time celebrating our company Xmas lunch party last week here.From booking table to food service was great experience and fun.Tony, Prakash and a whole team was fantastic ,We all thank you for making our lunch so special.

A very fun place to have a night out. Staff are friendly to have a chat with. Ping pong is a nice touch to an evening at the Blueberry Bar. Location is away from the more busy areas of Shoreditch which is nice. Only negative about this place is it is a bit pricey!

We had a booked a 2 hour slot which was all fine but when it come to the advertised drink offers the staff did not know what there own offers was and when we tried using the offers apparently they are for walking in only. So if you have a booking you can not uses offers which sounds a little strange.Just clarify everything before hand as once there things you thought are included are not.

Went here as some friends of friends were here and was pleasantly surprised! Music was good, it was pretty busy (we went on a friday night) and best of all they had a beer pong table set up! Think they had two actually, so it catered to more people. Drinks didn't cost loads either

First visited this bar with the Shoreditch Pub Crawl group and later came back with some more friends. We reserved a beer pong table upstairs and had such a great night. The food was really good and the drinks were good too. If you're looking for a fun night out, I highly recommend this bar. Staff was awesome, music was good, etc... Definitely a bar to hit up with friends when in London.

We visited the bar after booking beer pong online for a stag party. The booking experience was good and it was followed up by a phone call which I thought was helpful and a good touch. The bar itself is well presented with a good range of drinks at not too busy on a Friday afternoon. Beer pong was a lot of fun and the staff were accommodating. The food was of good quality and it came out pretty quickly. It's a nice place and I would definitely like to return on an evening to see the place in full flow.

Usually I go for table tennis, there is enough space and nice table I also tried the food which is very good, nice booze, clean and perfect place for table tennis.:)

Visited here for my fiancés birthday...absolutely worst service staring from the moment we were given a table for 6 when we booked one for 20. Staff were terrible, huge waits at the bar and didnt get on to the ping pong table until 10 mins after our timeslot. The venue is good enough but the management is abysmal....wouldn't recommend.

I came here with friends for my 20th Birthday. I prebooked and when I arrived the barman was very quick to make sure the UV ping pong and area was cleared for me and my group. Everyone had such a good time and it really made my birthday that bit more special so thank you :).

We came here for a work event in the bar on the second floor. It is popular for large groups with ping pong and beer pong on offer.Friendly service and good selection of drinks.

We went with friends to the smaller bar with just a few beer pong tables. Really nice environment as well as very nice staff. The beer pong itself was good even though my team lost, we had great fun and will be looking forward to come back.

I hired an area for my husbands birthday and it was fabulous. The bar staff were really attentive and friendly.15 of us played beer pong and it was a great night- we managed to end up with a crowd watching us (some poor beer pong playing on my side..much to the amusement of staff and the crowd!)Really great night and I would definitely recommend it- the UV ping pong area is on my list next!

We reserved a table and a beer pong table for a group of friends and I. Everyone had a great night, staff were friendly and attentive. Beer pong was great fun and overall the place had a good atmosphere. The drinks were reasonably priced (for London!!). I'd certainly go back here again next time I'm in Shoreditch!

I booked a table and ping pong here for my birthday, I'd been to the bar before but had a great time this night too! The only downside is the bartenders were a bit slow at making the drinks and also some bartenders said you had to have the same cocktail for the 2 for £10 drinks offer, and others didn't. There should be consistency across staff. Other than that fab bar!

I booked an hr of ping pong for my birthday on Saturday after wanting to do something a bit different this year. I won't lie, I was slightly wary after reading some of the reviews online. I ended up having one of the best birthdays I've had in ages! The staff were really helpful and booked me a drinks table for after the ping pong. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We all had loads of fun and it was a good way to break the ice with different personalities. Great music and atmosphere!

I recently had my birthday here, and what a brilliant night!! I rented a seating area which was great and a member of staff came over and introduced herself and looked after us all night. We then hired a beer pong table which was amazing and really good value! The music was great too with a mixture of old and recent tunes! You're guaranteed an awesome night at Blueberry!!

Really good music, and cool cocktails - enjoyed it! The ping pong is fun. If you go later the tables tend to be booked, but. But earlier and it's no hassle having a game. Staff are really helpful and for once, a place where the bouncers are t rude.Cool for groups or couples.

As mentioned in the title, the place is way too hot. The drinks are expensive for such a small place. The food is good on the plus side and there was 1 staff member who was very nice, the rest unfortunately my party found to be quite rude. Perhaps the biggest drawback was the sound volume, which would usually be a good thing after 9pm maybe but from between 6-9 there is no need for it to be so loud where you need to shout to the person next to you to communicate. Not sure if that's every night but that's what we found. Additionally; the crowd that attend aren't the nicest.

From the initial email we found Maria a pleasure to deal with; organising a view of the venue, food tasting, throwing in a few freebies (photo booth, ping pong table, use of the projector), it was absolutely everything we could ask for and more!The venue was a perfect size for the 70+ guests we had in the private room, as well as a seating area, DJ/singer booth, ping pong table, and of course more than enough room to dance! The ambiance and lighting was on point, the bar staff were friendly and observant, and we were able to decorate the room with our own balloons, banners, and items. We've had nothing but positive feedback from all our guests and we couldn't imagine our party anywhere else. Absolutely awesome afternoon, we'll never forget it. Thank you all for making it such a special occasion.

I came with a friend of mine for some burgers on a Tuesday night, and it turned out they had a quiz on, it was super fun. The guy was really funny. and the quiz was mixing music and speaking questions, and after a bottle of wine it was so much fun! We shared a burger and a fajita, which both was massive! Good value for money,normal pub grub quality. I would deffo come back for a mid week fun night out.

It was in a disused office 3 floors above the bar and both turkey and lamb mains were awful, like school dinners, and starter of prawn cocktail was the most basic cheap frozen small prawns and a sad bit of iceberg lettuce chucked on a plate!Worst xmas work meal ever, though I knw for large groups it can be tricky but it felt so basic and cheap compared to other work meals with a similar budget

Booked the private room for a Christmas Party for work - overall experience was good but the food was a big disappointment. Was told food would be served at 6.30pm, by 7pm we hadn't heard anything and no food so asked and food was finally out around 7.30-7.45, however it took a LONG time to serve everyone and there were mistakes on the meals, some were cold by the time they got out & between courses took ages. It was around 9.30 by the time desserts were served, by which time most guests had lost interest in the meal! Would go back for drinks, & organiser Steph was pretty good to work with for organising doing her best to accomodate what we needed and add extras where we could.

We booked Blueberry bar as an informal, but fun place to hold our studio Christmas party. From the outset the service I received from Steph, their customer service person was atrocious. She didn't remember who I was on multiple occasions, she had a terrible attitude throughout the entire process. She was rude and unhelpful and gave me incorrect information on multiple occasions. It took until the very last minute to finalise our booking, despite making contact initially 6 weeks before. We pre ordered 8 canapé choices. I was assured the canapés were substantial and the portions generous.We pre-ordered the food choices for 7:30pm, initially our order arrived at 8pm, but it was all incorrect. Our food finally arrived at 8:10pm.We had booked beer pong from 8-10pm, so having the food late impacted on our use of the table tennis tables. However it didn't really matter because the food was basically inedible and no one wanted it. Our absolute highlight was the 'Mini Yorkshire pudding with turkey' platter. Sounds delicious, right? The reality was a plate of mini factory made, frozen Yorkshire puddings, filled with some kind of ketchup jam and with a tiny piece of processed sliced turkey sitting on the top, probably from Bernard Matthews. Another favourite were the 'Smoked salmon, cream cheese mini bagels'. Mini bagels with some kind of artificial salmon cream cheese smothered inside. The photo demonstrates how popular they were. The burgers were ok, but had nothing inside to take away from the dryness. The sweet potato fry portions came as 4-5 skinny chips in a little metal cup. The only food that got the thumbs up from us was the falafel and humous. It was so bad and we were so hungry that one of the directors even went to the bar to get bags of crisps because the food was so grim. But sadly they don't sell crisps, so we just went hungry.We had paid for each person to have mulled wine and two drinks vouchers to kick things off. I was told by Steph that each voucher could be redeemed against a large glass of wine or a beer. However, when ordering wine, the staff did not remind the team they could have a large glass of wine, and in some cases even charged two tickets for a single glass of wine. Only certain beers could be had against the vouchers, but as we weren't told there was confusion and disagreement at the bar on a few occasions.We had an amazing evening, but only because the team is so much fun and nothing to do with the hospitality we received at Blueberry Bar. We would not come here again, although the day after one of the Directors did joke about asking them to provide all our company catering going forward. The food was a joke. Don't eat here ever!

It was my first visit to Blueberry and I had a small group booked for ping pong and drinks. The staff was very helpful with reservations due to busy Christmas schedule.Once we got there they cleared the space for us immediatelly, and we managed to play longer than initially booked. We had a ping pong table at the back. However there was soemthing wrong and the kitchen closed earlier. The manager was very friendly and I could order in some food for my starving bunch. The food wasn't a priority anyway for my party, it was drinks, ping pong and dancing. After 10pm the table was removed and we ended up having a semi private dance floor with old schoo r'nb. Overall it was a lot of fun.

We had booked the private room on the second floor for our Christmas party. There were a few glitches at the beginning and a couple as the night went on but the staff worked hard to rectify these and make it up to us. It's quite a new bar so I would recommend to friends for private functions, however they have a few bugs to work out first when it comes to bookings. The private room is also a great size for casual functions.Friendly staff and would go back for drinks any time.

Went here on a lunch time, food and drink orders had been forgotten. Waitress was forgetful and food was like cheap pub food, I would not recommend it for a food establishment, however they do host beer pong which I would be interested to attend.

Informed bar staff we had arrived & would like to start playing they both said they'd be with in a minute but then forgot about us. Table was booked from 8-9pm by 8.25 we still hadn't been seen too. Managed to get the bar manager & asked him for my money back, which in fairness he gave to me, although it was without an apology.Not a great place for beer pong anyway as the table is right next to the busy bar. Also only 2 bar staff working on a busy Thursday meant long queues.So many great bars in Shoreditch I'd advise avoiding this one.- We went to blues kitchen & had a great night!

Fun night. Nice bar. Pricey drinks. Bar staff are a bit hit and miss. One guy remembered my entire order of shed loads of drinks. Another barked at me when he couldn't remember 2.... But a fun night with work colleagues. Would probably go back if there's another work ping pong tournament.

We were a group of 15 friends and booked an area for an early Saturday evening, before moving onto another bar. It turned out to be a great decision, as the beer pong was ridiculously fun and the happy hour drinks were great value. There were a few stag parties so quite a rowdy but fun atmosphere. Would definitely come here again.

How unusual, all the previous negative words from people have disappeared and they have a new profile. Since mine was somehow mislaid, I've taken the time to return, specifically, to voice my opinion. Again. How nice of me. Embarrassingly rude bar staff member with an inability to remember a previous drinks order in an almost empty bar and accuse me of ordering something I clearly didn't. Slamming the drink down , oh what strong arms you have attached to your armchair torso. Luckily its served in a mouldy plastic beaker. Right, time to move to the delightfully sticky dance floor and enjoy the very poor sound system and dire music. The decor is really quite sad. Especially when you've paid a random cover charge for this almost empty soulless venue. The polite door staff are the only positive note, do yourself a favour, go to the 100's of other bars in this end of town. Now lets see how long this review lasts.

I went here recently for my friend's birthday - I googled it beforehand to see what kind of a place it was and also, because I was a tiny bit intrigued by 'beer pong'. The photos of the bar looked okay - but they would, wouldn't they? With filters and professional shots, it's all bound to look better than it actually is. When I got there, the place was rammed (it was approximately 9:30/9:45 on a Friday night) and I thought "Okay, this could be good", especially as it looked quite cool from the outside. I found my friends playing beer pong in the corner by the toilets - if i'm honest, beer pong wasn't my thing from the get go, but they all seemed to be having fun. Within a few minutes though, I realised that this was the kind of bar people go to as a pre-drinks before moving on to somewhere else with a pulse. Music was playing but no one was dancing, except my soulful, slightly inebriated friends.The bar staff were awful - SMILE once in a while guys. They looked bored, barely paid you attention and hardly spoke. They also require you to tell them your order about two or three times. Within an hour, the bodies in the bar had reduced. By about 11, it was almost empty, save for some people finally dancing as the alcohol had finally gotten into their systems. By this point though, I was very bored. Beer pong seemed long and uninteresting to me, the music was okay but no one really danced to anything. My friends were bored too, but hung around a little longer to accommodate the birthday girl. In the end though, a fellow friend who was equally as bored as I was decided to vacate, telling our mates to meet us somewhere with a pulse. If you're looking for good vibes, staff that know how to do more than frown and somewhere to meet people, have a laugh and dance..... yeah, don't go here. If throwing balls into cups is your thing, then try beer pong. You'll love it. But I'm sure there's better places to play it than here. It gets two stars because there was no flack from the bouncers at all (even when I arrived and some chump in a car behind me tried to be a hard man and get rude). They barely batted an eyelid. It's free to get into and I didn't need to show any form of ID. Wouldn't go back there though.

For some reason this bar had a lot of negative reviews and they have managed to renew their page and remove all of the old bad reviews. There were loads titled things such as: “Ping pong and stress” and “Don't Bother”. My review also got wiped out with it.The bar is terrible. I have been here on a Monday night to collect deals that are on and advertised all around the bar on posters. I have then been told at the bar that the deal is not on, despite it clearly being advertised everywhere. I have been in and tried to order breakfast here and I have been told breakfast is off, forcing me to purchase something considerably more expenive on the menu. If you want better food and service there are plenty of places in the area.As for bar service it is bad. They can never remember the order at the bar. We were promised deals for our group what were cancelled when everyone turned up for the event. They even got nicknamed phantom deals amongst our group. The drinks are generally overpriced and poor. The drinks selection seems non existent, including cold lager and cocktails.We have had ping pong reserved every week and on several times turned up to find it reserved by multiple groups. When you try and find management they sit and hide in a back room and deny any knowledge of it.I could go on for some time. There is one good review below which I think in time will be swamped by poor reviews like previously. Google reviews gives you a semi good idea.

Went to Blueberry for work drinks and organised to play a game of Beer Pong - it was all very well organised and the table was ready for us upon arrival. The nachos were good as well, if not a bit on the large side.

This place is probably the worst bar I've been to in London. Absolutely DIRE! everything about it! The bar staff, abysmal! Met with attitude from the start , got my order wrong then tried to tell me it was what I ordered . Then when I disputed it was patronisingly told to calm down before he poured the new drink over half the bar just about managing to get it in the glass . Hilarious. Decor of the place is cheap tat, would hate to see it with the lights on. Don't get me started on the music , not that I would have danced on the overly sticky dance floor anyway. To think there was a cover charge is laughable. Go elsewhere.

DJ hasn't got a clue what he is doing,Absolutely dreadful one of the worst I've ever heard - completely butchering the already pants atmosphere.The decor is crap, naff paintings of old stars.The beer is served in plastic cups... Never again.

Blueberry Bar, Shoreditch, unsigned performers night – 'Plugged In' at the Blueberry during the week (Tuesdays or Wednesdays) is a good way to enjoy a quiet night out, start a heavy evening out or unwind after work. The latter two were the case on this occasion. After a quick search for a casually, fun evening in the trendy Shoreditch area, and Blueberry Bar came out on top.The venue is well known for its £5 burger and chips offer (on Monday’s, I believe), however on this occasion an enjoyable evening of ciders, bands, instrument players and solo singers were on offer.So it is fair to say I was looking forward to another cool night for mthepro.com.A good crowd of hip young people mid-20s to mid-30s, flowing conversations, polite revellers and staff and some talent.I recommend this place as a no fuss, regular haunt. Especially since it has the amazing football penalty shoot-out urinal aiming game in the loos.A lot of people were enjoying the beer ping pong or regular table tennis area.You will enjoy it here.

I booked the ping pong area at the back of the bar for 3 hours on Saturday 20th April for my 30th Birthday, after reading bad reviews on peoples bookings being lost, I triple checked that my area was secure and that my guests would have free entry all night! I arrived to find the table had been double booked for the first hour of my booking, to which the bar man tried putting me in the middle of the dance floor telling me that was my area, I had pictures to prove otherwise!! He was rude and unhelpful and ruined my birthday. To top it of my guests were told they still had to pay even though I was told that just had to say my name at the door to receive free entry. This I triple checked to! Believe the reviews, and don't let this place ruin your occasion if making a big booking! We left early and will not be returning!

I found Blueberry Bar online and made a booking for ping pong with a few friends. It's just ten pounds for an hour of ping pong, whereas in the surrounding bars we had been quoted twenty pounds plus! The staff are really fun and friendly and were up for a laugh but still very professional. The cocktails were delicious too! We didn't eat here as we had been for a meal just before hand but we saw some of the food coming out and it looked fab! I'd definitely like to pop in and try those burgers! The bartender told me that on Mondays they are only £5! We went on a Saturday afternoon, it was really quiet to start with but the bar filled up really quickly and the atmosphere was amazing. I'll definitely be back there really soon and would recommend to anybody who loves great cocktails, fun bartenders and just a generally awesome time!

We'd have spent a pleasant evening at this bar, group of 3 girls & 2 guys, drank a bit (but that's the point of this place?) nobody was rolling about the floor, being aggressive or anything like that, my friend (male one) asked for a drink (beer, one for the road) and we're refused! The reason, aparrantly one onnthe girls had briefly fallen asleep! I explained that she'd just finished a 50 hour week & to I wasn't asking for a drink for her, fell on deaf ears. Spoke to the main manager & expressed my unhappiness with the situation & indifference! They were happy to take £276 of my money (also beware of drinks costs here,our rounds would have cost half this price elsewhere!) but then treated you like 5 year old! We will never go back & suggest you avoid!

I've come in here quite regularly for a few months now. It's close to work and on Mondays they do a half price burger & chips to take away. I always get a warm welcome from Sophia, Ivy and Joanna (now sadly departed for New Zealand) so that's nice. You can forgive them a lot for that. But it is dreadfully run and managed. They run out of beer. Then they get beer. Then they run out of gas to fizz the beer. Then they run out of burgers, or burger buns, or takeaway bags, or takeaway boxes. Then they spend weeks putting in new cheap looking booths. Then the front door gets broken and it takes days to get fixed and it's freezing outside. The heating is suspect at the best of times. At £4.50 a pint as a minimum (Peroni is over a fiver) it's not as if they're short of a few bob.The incident when the manager locked himself in his office and had to wait for another key carrier to come along and let him out probably tells you a lot about how and why it's so badly run.

The website is designed nicely, giving the vibe that the venue is also quite stylish, being in the Shoreditch area of the City of London. I booked out this venue for our work christmas party with the assumption the photos online also included the private room that was advertised. After some negotiations with the manager we booked out the private room which included 3 course dinner, open bar and DJ. Positives - good value for money, mostly because there was an open bar. The DJs they included were absolutely top - had a wide array of music and really fun lovely guys. The manager (Jennifer) stayed on duty for the duration of our meal to ensure that any problems we had would be dealt with first hand. Quick drinks serviceNegatives - the private room looks nothing like the bar downstairs, its up a separate stairwell by the side of the building and it white, very plain and should be detailed to customers when booking! Food was very adequate, starters were very small and the turkey wasn't great. The service was slow since they seemed to be carrying only a few plates up the stairs at the time - not very efficient!Apart from that we had a fun night and went to continue the party downstairs when our open bar ran out.

Went here for work Xmas lunch. Positives were the fact the staff seemed nice, and the turkey dinner looked pretty tasty but I didn't receive one even though I ordered it.Negatives included a bizarre venue in an office building to the side of the main vanue , it was 3 flights of stairs up through in unmarked door, and they had no dumbwaiter so were carrying meals 2 at a time up the stairs from the adjacent building. No wonder they were cold and some people, well half the group waited a good 20 minutes for their meals.Starters were universally awful. Prawn cocktail described as retro was just a handful of tiny frozen prawns on wilted unseasoned bagged lettuce with a couple of bits of tomato and cucumber. Parma ham and melon looked nauseating and laughable in portion size.I got the wrong main which turned out to be catering pack bland lamb shank that looked like school dinners. I received no dessert but my friend had mince pies that were the tiniest I ever saw. They were at least a quarter the size of shop bought ones! I know its a challenge catering for a large group and most people enjoyed the table tennis, but this place was obviously giving a budget option. (Partly down to my employers' budget but in the past we have had lots more for the money elsewhere!)

I booked a beer pong table here and paid a deposit for Saturday night. When I arrived I was told that I had to pay an entry fee. I refused to do this as I had paid a deposit and the entry fee was not mentioned when I booked. I spoke to the manager who said that he didn't have my booking. When I have him the name of the person who I had spoken to he replied "Zak isn't here today"'. Why this should have made any difference I'm still not sure. After some persuasion the manager agreed to give back my deposit. When I looked in to the bar I was glad that I wasn't going in there as on my opinion there is something wrong when a bar has only got a handful of people in it on a Saturday night in east London.

Walked in as needed to eat before an event. I don't like to see a bar empty of staff. Hate having to go look for someone to serve. Chicken burger was large and tasty.

The Organisation of the barWe regularly held events at this bar on an almost bi-weekly basis for about 6 months. The bar was nothing but a let down. We would often call a day in advance to confirm we had 80 people coming. We would regularly find that when we got there the bar had been let to someone else and that we would have to stand outside. There was regularly double booked events where you would be unable to use the ping pong tables, or any of the kit.The foodDespite the fact that the £5 cheeseburgers were advertised all over the bar I was refused a cheeseburger because supposedly they're not on. Even though there were posters on advertising it all over the bar.I asked for a sausage sandwich and I was told that they could not do this as it was not breakfast. This meant I had to choose something considerably more pricey. The chef was not even busy, the bar was empty. My advise is, just go down the road for breakfast. For the same price of a sausage or bacon sandwich you can eat a load more elsewhere.The drinks selectionThe drinks are mostly if not all overpriced warm/fizzy lager. There are no ales. And the cocktails are OK, but you would have to re-mortgage your house to afford one.The StaffThe staff were not great. Most of them seemed quite arrogant, and I'm not really sure what about. They can never seem to remember the order at the bar and quite often I would give in getting beer as it was so busy and they would serve 50 people who came after you first.The old bouncers used to be quite good and friendly. Giving you directions to the nearest tube e.t.c. Some of the nicest bouncers I've met. The new ones though unfortunately have not carried on this. I went out for a smoke and when I went to go back in I was refused entry. Despite the fact we had a large event going on there which took up most of the bar.They also now have an events manager for the bar, the odds are though your event/life will be over by the time they reply. So for a quick disappointment you're better off calling.OverallDon't bother with this bar. There are a few very close by with a similar style. They are much better catered for and have a roof terrible. The food is also much cheaper and a better quality.

Was looking forward to going to this chilled out bar close to where I work in the hustle and bustle of the City of London. It opened about a year or so ago and recently I organized a group work lunch there for 8. The manager welcomed us warmly and we only had to wait a couple of minutes before we were guided to our table. The décor is funky - items hanging from the ceiling and around the walls, wooden tables - some with benches, some with mismatched chairs. A definite look. Unfortunately that's where the charm ended. The wait staff was not great - delivering the wrong food and drinks to our table and making us wait an eternity for additional food. We realize that one of the wait staff was in training but even taking that into account we were disappointed. In fact the person who was putting the lunch on their bill demanded that the tip that had been included was removed. The food, burgers served on little wooden slabs, was just okay and a bit overcooked. Definitely nothing to rave about. In that area of town there are lots of bars and restaurants dotted all about. I would definitely go for one of those next time!

We visited this pub for a quick lunch. It is a 2 minute walk from the office so its location is perfect.The whole pub was empty, it only had 3 tables with people, but we did go at 12:15.The food was not bad, I had the burger which they claim it is on a brioche bun. When the burger came, it was not a brioche bun - it was something in between a burger bun and a bit of a brioche bun. But, it was tasty. It is ideal for a quick lunch during work.My friend had the ribs which looked good!What I do have to complain about is the fact that it was freezing. We all kept our winter coats on because it was that cold.I have also read in other reviews that the service is not that good. I cannot comment that much on this because as I said it was empty but I can say that the service was not perfect, but it was also not bad.

Went here for a friend's birthday drinks and loved the cute/trendy/relaxed feel of this place! I try to sample a bar's cocktail menu when I visit new places and my favourite one of the night from Blueberry Bar was the Very Berry cocktail - Sweet & fruity. I also tried the Blueberry Mojito which tasted quite lethal. The Strawberry Frozen Bellini was quite pleasant too.The highlight for me was the ping pong table! Endless hours of entertainment were had within our group as well as against others who had came to Blueberry for some post-work drinks.Staff were very friendly and you didn't need to wait too long for your drinks. It's so easy to walk by and miss this place which I sort of love even more as it seems like our little secret now!

This is a relaxed bar in a cool part of town, but we had a bad experience here with a birthday reservation - and staff were remarkably unhelpful when we tried to sort it out. We had reserved a drinks table and a ping pong table, but when when we arrived our table was already in use by another group. Bar staff refused to help move them or allow us to switch to another, free table. We can cope with that, but when the time came for our ping pong reservation that was double-booked too. After complaints they set up a second ping pong table for us, only for us to be nagged and eventually kicked off by staff around half an hour later. It's a nice idea, but the whole experience was just stress and confrontation from start to finish thanks mainly to rude, unhelpful staff. Not ideal on a birthday.

I reserved an area over a month in advance for my birthday on a Sat night and pre-booked a table tennis table as well.On arrival the manager had no knowledge of my booking (despite having paid a £50 deposit!) and he really patronised me with his comments. He eventually realised that he's written down the wrong name! He did not apologise but made out that somehow I was to blame for his mistake. He then told me that I had to have the table tennis earlier than I had booked and made it out to be my problem, even though the time I booked was offered to me when I reserved it! Again, no apology.My friends and me did actually have quite a good night at Blueberry after those issues - expensive but good atmosphere and nice looking bar - however, I certainly won't go back because of the attitude of the manager and I definitely won't be recommending it.

Surprised this is the first review for this place. Recently visited here for lunch. Friendly welcome; shown to our table, although the chairs and tables reminded me a bit about being back in primary school !!Place was busy with a mixture of locals and City workers looking for a change from the typical City bars/restaurants. Food took a while to come but when it did it was fresh and tasty, what more could you ask for?Competitively priced and will certainly return.

First impressions weren't the best as they couldn't find the booking I'd made through the square meal app, despite the e-mail confirmation. It is far more of a trendy bar than a restaurant and definitely not a place for an evening meal as the menu is significantly decreased in the evening. The major plus point is that it is very cheap but it really only does bar snacks and despite it not being very busy and early on a Saturday night, it didn't have some of the things it was offering on the paltry...
