Bollywood Spice in Tameside

We recently tried the Tarka Dal from this restaurant, and it was a massive disappointment. It was more like flavored water than dal—there was barely any actual lentil content. My wife even watched them cooking and questioned if what they were preparing was our order. When they confirmed it was, she pointed out that it didn’t resemble dal at all. They added a little more lentil after her feedback, but it remained thin and watery. The taste was equally unimpressive; despite requesting a chili-hot dish, it arrived bland and mild. It seems like they have no idea what authentic Tarka Dal should taste like. Unfortunately, the Palak Paneer was no better. We had asked for it to be made spicy, but instead, it had an unexpectedly sweet flavor. If you’re someone who truly appreciates authentic Indian cuisine, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The food here is far from traditional and completely misses the mark. Save your time and money unless you’re okay with bland, watery dishes. Definitely not recommended.

The pizza was nice and fresh so was the chicken wrap and the service was spot on would recommend to everyone in Droylsden to come and try the food

This place has gone so far downhill it’s sad to see. The seekh kebabs felt like they was cooked the day before, dryer than sand and despite it being early everything was warm not hot.

The food was amazing and so was the staff everything was made fresh and in front of us witch was very nice to watch also they was very welcoming to us even though we was knew to the area it is a must try eveyone should come down

Food is absolutely amazing everytime we order. Cannot fault always fills us up and cost is great. Only downside is when ordering a garlic naan it’s happened twice to us now that they’ve sent plain naans Other than this great takeaway and highly recommend

order was late due to a mishap but it was rectified before it left the restaurant, great attention to detail, drinks were given as a gesture. food was lovely (worth the wait) never been late before so this is a one off. won't put me off ordering in the future that's for sure :)

I’ve lived in Droylsden for years and I ordered a pizza and some chips and chicken tikka and the food was amazing. It was quick delivery and the food was fresh and hot. Five star will order again👍

The most horrible Indian food I have ever had.. had to claim a refund from food hub it was that bad... Curry tasted like chicken soup,

I’m not convinced the kebabs ordered from Bollywood came from Bollywood. Using coldslaw instead of the usual salad is not how we wanted or ordered them. That’s the last chance I’m giving after a couple of being unhappy with our order. Goodbye Bollywood. 👋🏻.

I don’t know what anyone else thinks but when you order a kebab and unwrap it and see the naan bread is wafer thin and soaked in sauce so much it’s impossible to pick it up to eat, I don’t care how nice it tastes I just don’t want to eat it. My solution is to never order it again. I’ll find a better wrapped kebab from another place. This ruined it for me. My wife enjoyed her curry but if she wants another from Bollywood she can order it herself. Disappointed is an understatement.

Worst food I've had from your Shop. Cheesy garlic bread was cold, you sent Pepsi instead of 7Up, the salad on the burger was disgusting making the burger inedible, hardly any cheese on it. It was all cold and pizza and cheesy garlic bread had to be reheated. It was the first and last burger I will buy from you.

Do not use Just Eat to order. Order direct from Bollywood Just Eat will not refund me £30 for a canceled order. The food is great but cost me £50 for a pizza and a kebab.

Best takeaway in droylsden. Foods always great, behind the counter or delivering the people are great.

I've been ordering from this place for at least 5 years and they never let me down. Never actually been into the venue, so I can't rate that, but the quality of the food - especially tikka kebabs and curries - are the best in this neck of the woods IMO. Rarely had any problems with delivery, they're usually early or on time.

Got a mix kebab on Nan score it as 6-10

The Lamb in the curry was rubbery / chewy. Ended up leaving most of the meat and half of the meal as it put me off. The Donner and chicken tikka Kebab however was spot on. Plenty on it and tasty with salad and sauces.

Chips were freezing. Chicken looked over cooked but inside was still pink & soggy. The chicken wings were over cooked & tasted stale with no flavour. The burgers was over cooked & the kebab had a weird taste & was just mainly grease & it was delivered later than stated too. All the family was disappointed with their meals & a total waste of money.

After receiving a leaflet through the door thought ide try their curry. Chicken madras was really good, I've tried curry's from all surrounding areas this was the best and a really good price. Good size portions and fresh. I am very critical about curry's and this was a gd one

Great service. Make everything fresh and in front of you. You can even ask them to adjust the spice level accordingly to your taste bud. Definitely do try prawn masala from there. They really know how to take care of their customers and give valuable suggestions on what to choose from their menu so you don't go disappointed

By far the best place around been eating here since they opened meat feast pizza is the best meat feast I’ve ever had staff always friendly they’ve delivered to me I’m Hattersley and Salford before now paid extra for delivery but definitely worth it foods always on point

Great food but unfortunately like most food outlets falling into the skimping category by giving you less for your buck, Kebabs a perfect example, less meat and more shredded salad, then even coldslaw thrown in for good measure to help bulk it out.

Great customer service, Ozzie is honestly the best customer service I've been in contact with. Plenty of help and support with the order. Pizzas doughs are fresh and the meats are hot and tasty. The dough isn't like rubber. Comes fresh and tasty.

Always missing an item from my order and not exactly cheap anymore. Trays aren’t filled to the top like they used to be. Not very welcoming when collecting items you feel like a hindrance. I give up with them now.

The past 2 times I've got a kebab specific garnish and sauce stated,you've put coleslaw on it when I've already ordered a tub of coleslaw for my cheesy chips. Coleslaw doesn't state to be put on my kebab,just salad and yogurt sauce. This time no yogurt sauce,minium salad and no yogurt sauce. Twice its gone in the bin. Half a tray of cheesy chips. Money wasted again. I will not be ordering from you again !!

This use to be good food place sadly no more , last order come , no pilu rice so give us plain rice , curry had 5 small pieces of chicken in it the large chips were like a small from other places had to put salt on it to give taste , won't be going here any more no popdoms or out to make up for the changes oh the chicken wings that small they had egg shell on them

Visited to get some kebab to go as we had not been in ages and had a bit of a craving. Ordered a large kebab on naan, and one on pitta. Also fish and chicken pakora. When we came to pay it was quite a few pounds more so when I asked why it was the case, we were told they have a new menu and the prices on the boards hadn't been updated. You would have thought they would have made the effort to inform customers? 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Decided to do without the starters and just got the kebabs which came to £10.10 but they charged us £10. Had it when we got home and the spicy sauce was as we remembered it though a tad sweet. The kebabs were generously filled with salad and döner meat though they don't seem to give the pickled green chillies anymore which is a shame. Overall it was really tasty and we got the fix we wanted. Thankfully we had left the starters as we were stuffed from the kebabs! I would like to try some of their curries next time, if I can resist the kebabs!
