Very long wait for food, although the place wasn't busy. Food eventually arrived and the cutlery a bit later. Every thing seemed a bit chaotic.

My Husband and I attended here today, the coffee and food (we both had the breakfast burger) were absolutely superb, huge portions and extremely well priced. Oh and the chips are to die for!!! 😁😁

Stopped here on our journey home from a week away. Lovey little cafe. Very friendly owners/staff. We were seated and served very promptly. The lady recommended the cookie dough cake, which was amazing. I wish I had bought a second portion to take home. We were offered board games for my son but didn’t play with them. Stepdad had a bacon butty and said “I can’t get over how good that bacon nutty was”. We were very impressed and wish we lived slightly closer so we could come in more! Thank you Bonnie’s!

This was such a great find. We had been recommended to go to Haltwhistle to walk the Burn Gorge but had not thought what to do do for lunch. We spotted this as we walked from the station and from the moment we opened the door you could see it was a place with character. The couple who run it were really friendly and the food was excellent. they were also selling some local products which added to making it a great place to go to.

We went into Bonnies looking for a coffee and snack. The cafe was not very busy and the cafe smelt heavily of burnt greasy pans etc. The place was homely enough and the staff and owner, I presumed to be Bonnie were very friendly and accommodating. So, bearing in mind we went there at 12 noon on a Friday, the baked goods on offer were virtually non existent. We asked for 2 x cappuccinos and Bonnie suggested toasted tea cakes. After a short while, we had our coffess and tea cakes. The cappuccinos looked wonderful, frothy milk on top with chocolate flakes and chocolate powder. When we tasted the coffee it was so bitter and burnt tasting, we had to add some water to try and dampen the taste. The tea cakes were okay, but the jam was in little plastic sachets, nothing special. Whilst the place promised a homely and quirky atmosphere, the coffee and snack offerings fell far short. I hate to be negative, but perhaps if Bonnnie can up her game, offer market leading coffee and cakes etc, perhaps the food side of the cafe will match the homely decor, oh, and please address the burnt grease smell, very off putting

A quaint café which has a good selection of food and caters for most dietary restrictions. One of the best coffees I have had in ages. Polite, respectful and attentive staff. Thank you.

Warkworth has a small nucleus of great places to eat, and we'd never tried Bertrams, so we went. It was a no brainer given the quality of other reviews. The only downside was that we had to get in and out early so were nearly the first people in hence little "atmosphere" but that was our agenda not the restaurant, and we were there for the food... ... which was first class. Superb hake served with a beautiful herby crab pate and dauphinoise potatoes. The flavours were immense and everything was cooked to perfection. You notice the difference with real quality and top chef standards and this delivered for me. The lemon meringue dessert was the proverbial icing on the metaphorical cake. Superb.
