Borehamwood Fish and Chip shop in Hertsmere

We came to the fish and chips shop obviously for some fish and chips and we got what we ordered. Service was slightly slow, but what do you expect from a friendly and talkative cashier. It's a small business and is rarely busy.

Had an Uber eats delivery during lockdown Large cod in name only, batter was cardboard fish inside tasteless and minuscule. Informed the restaurant who haven’t bothered to respond. Fishcakes were inedible like a very bad fish stick. What a shocker, just appalling, depressing, avoid at all costs.

Went here for the first time although it has been there for years and always busy. Food was lovely hot, fresh and fish had lovely golden crisp batter. Prices very good.

A good place for a quick bag of fish n chips with mushy peas or curry sauce! Very clean, nice staff, friendly service. Not cheap, but good tasty food. Recommended.

Been here as looks good from outside. The food was awful as chips cold and not nice and the batter sausage was really soggy and not worth it. This was a disappointment as expected more

One of the best fish and chips I've been to ! Highly recommend the Quarter pounder it's so delicious! The staff are sooo friendly especially Syed and Aida! Known them for years. Quality of food is excellent!! ;)

I went here and loved the amazing food. I fully recommend this to everyone who need to eat something.

We have had fish and chips from here a few times. When they are open its good but slow service for take out. Disappointing when you go especially and they close early.

Worst fish and chips i have had In Borehamwood so far, had to chuck the curry sauce, the fish was dry and the batter soggy, as well as the chips

Lovely food at good prices and friendly staff. Its the only chip shop I'll use in Borehamwood. The space could be made better use of so that you can eat in and not feel like you are in the queue but other than that I can't complain

Great fish and chips that actually taste like they should. Friendly service, ask for the cooked to order Haddock, you will not be disappointed

The Golden Plaice is a great fish and chip shop.....they queue down the street so I phone in my order and the queue for phoned in orders is just as long.....not good if raining outside as you get wet queuing but its proof of a decent fish and chips being served and the price is reasonable £10 for 2 people

There are a few chips shops in Borehamwood, but this is the best one I have ever been to. Just go, enjoy & no doubt I will see you there in the future. It is that good. 5 stars just is not enough.
