Best Vietnamese food I’ve had, love this place

We visited this place on a Sunday in the afternoon at 2pm where it was not busy. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and we are not locals to Bromley. We ordered the following items: 1. Meat Spring rolls - Cha nem thit (Pork, Prawns, carrot, cabbage, vermicelli, black fungi & onions) 2. Special Bun bo Hue - spicy noodles (we only had pork and beef in ours) 3. A Pot of Vietnamese tea 4. Coca Cola We did have to wait a bit to be served so I had to wave for a waiter to get their attention as one of the female staff were looking at their phone. However I could see the gentleman behind the counter dealing with a few takeaway drivers. The meat spring rolls were tasty but were a bit on the salty side. They were freshly fried though, very hot and were crispy! Our Special Bun Bo Hue did not seem too special as we only had pork and beef in our ones. We were expecting more types of meat but then again it does not specify what types of meat is in the special. The broth was tasty but not that spicy. Perhaps they cater for the spice levels of their locals. The staff were friendly when it came to taking our order, serving our food and taking our payment. Overall the food was decent, and the price was relative based on their location. Only dropping it to 1 star as the special bun bo hue could have been more ‘special’ as in another type of meat or to ensure that the special mentions what type of meat is to be expected on the menu. Also the drop of 1 star is just due to staff attentiveness where they lacked this at the beginning. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

We visited recently and left feeling well fed but very let down by absolutely shocking service. 40 minutes between ordering and drinks arriving (venue was NOT busy). Bottled water given without a glass with ice. Another customer was not impressed at being given a bottle of beer without a glass. One starter arrived a long time after everything else. Had to chase staff for basic things by walking up to the counter - one of whom was permanently glued to their phone rather than checking on customers. Definitely at the higher end price wise - £140 for four of us and for this sort of money you should be getting far better service. Staff barely acknowledged us as we were leaving. Won’t be going back.

Food was really good but I didn’t receive my bubble tea.

The whole experience was disappointing. Food was a let down , shaking beef was very chewy and the whole dish flavourless also the sauces were quite watery . Prices above the average , most of the places in London would be cheaper for better quality. Avoid the waste of money . Staff careless attitude didn’t help either!

Crispy pancakes with meat and prawns were more bean sprouts than meat, not the best. The shaking beef is so tough you can barely chew it. And some ‘sauce’ that looks like water… what even is that?!?! The chef should try his own food, bit of a disgrace. Will not return, avoid if you can!

This is the restaurant i visit the most. The pho is always the best even i have tried different vietnamese restsurant. Pho is tasty. I like the special summer roll too. Pho salad is good in summer. 5 star！

The pho is quite comforting, the beef broth taste really good and the Vietnamese coffee (if SUPER sweet) is nice! And so was the taro bubble tea. The restaurant itself is humble and understaffed midweek, but the waiters are nice and efficient and food is good and reasonably priced. Give it a shot and see for yourself!

As a lover of Vietnamese food, I decided to try out Bowl O'Pho as I live local to the area. I had the special bun bo hue, and the flavour was perfect, with a good amount of spice. Service was also great, the girl on Monday was really friendly and bubbly! Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely delicious, really fresh and good portion sizes. The summer rolls and noodle salads are especially good. English translations would make ordering easier though.

Bad service and bland, flavourless food. A waste of money.

Worms crawling in the toilet… The dining area looks fine. Dishes taste just like an average street cafe, not very tasty but just about edible, but the ingredient is quite low quality. Some of the dishes taste disgusting though. I would only give 2 stars to the food, not worthy going.

Didn't get to enjoy food as they serve pho broth in a cardboard container which meant most of the soup ended up floating in a plastic bag by the time it got to me. Ridiculous packaging for serving a takeaway soup. Spring rolls lacked flavor,

ordered 2 rare beef pho, only one came?! Now we need to pay another order and service charge?! Outrageous

I came in today to have lunch with someone. The place was near enough dead - one other table was occupied. They were not busy. The spring rolls we ordered came out fairly quickly and were quite nice to be fair, and the drinks came out quickly. We ordered two chicken phos and they only brought one out. I waited for the 2nd one and one of the girls working in here came over as she wondered why I supposedly hadn't ordered anything. Turns out the waiter who took my order hadn't told the kitchen to make a second, but they were still going to charge me for two. Thankfully the girl on the til only charged me for one. Pretty poor service for what otherwise appeared to be good food.

The pho was nice but really expensive they also charge £350 for a small Fanta

Wonderfully seasoned and fresh Vietnamese staples. Highly recommend the fried rice rolls and the pho. Service was attentive and efficient

The Beef Brisket Pho was delicious, lovely clean broth and fresh taste. The Summer rolls were also really nice. 👍

Place has gone downhill sadly. Probably related to costs but still not great. The portions are now meagre and the prices have gone up while the meat content has gone down considerably. They now use a lot of onion and bean sprouts as filler. The Shaking Beef used to be so good and now is very flavourless, very little beef and so many onions which are often undercooked. Bit sad as used to love this place, not so much anymore. It’s not awful but pretty average.

Nice restaurant. Nice place to sit with friends, friendly service, bubble tea was very nice. Food was good and big portions, for me the pho flavouring could have been a tiny bit stronger. Good vegetarian options

One of my favourite restaurants in Bromley - a low-key, unpretentious, family-run establishment where the food is authentic, beautifully-seasoned and always hits the spot. The prices are very reasonable too, considering the current climate! Would absolutely recommend this place over some of the other more Instagrammable restaurants in the area.

Food arrived warm. Pho was delicious, very nice portion, only the soup cup was leaking a bit. Summer rolls and steamed rolls delicious. I am so happy with the order and will come back for more. Would highly recommend.

One of my worst restaurant experiences. Went in on a Sunday afternoon after having a reservation. After being seated for atleast 10 mins no one came to take our order. We finally called the girl and asked for recommendations and portion sizes and placed an order for the BBQ platter (sliced raw meats)that she said was good for 4 people and we shouldn't order anything else to cook at our table 20 mins nothing came out when we asked the staff they said they were busy and it would take another 10 minutes. 15 minutes later nothing and we asked again to be told they are short staffed in the kitchen and would be another 10 minutes. After asking a few more time the tray of sliced raw meat came out 1 hour after taking our order with a bowl of rice. On asking for another bowl of rice the girl said it would take time. Funny for an Asian restaurant to not have rice cooked and ready to serve also the portion was not good for 4 person we were 2 adults and a child and it wasn't enough. It seemed like they were just slow as delivery drivers came in and waited for atleast 20 mins to pick an order other tables were also waiting for their food.

This is quite disappointing as we are regular customers here. The food was good whilst dining in but this time we got delivery. I tried eating the dessert and 75% of it it’s just ice. Besides this big chuck there’s also some crushed iced leaving me with 25% of the actual dessert. Very disappointed

Pls don’t waste your money. Two guys in front of house were young and did not want to be there. Place was freezing. Food was so under whelming - got veg spring roll instead of meat, pho was so tasteless it could have been boiled water and the crispy pork belly is cold cuts of deep fried nonsense. And if I had used the toilet first I would have legged it! Be warned. On a positive if you like beensprouts you’ll enjoy as that’s all we got with everything

The food turned up cold and we would like a refund we ended up throwing the food away I went to the restaurant and complained and they said that it was the drivers fault

Extremely and utterly disappointed with the quality of service provided. I called up to book a table and was spoken to rudely and rushed as if they had better things to do. Moment we entered no one was there to greet us for a while so we sat down. After 15 minuties no one took our order so we walked out and no one cared…

To my surprise, I like the spicy soup noodle best. And the noodle salad is good too, the pork is barbecued and crispy. I think they deserve higher review!

It looks deserted most times I've walked past but the food is lovely and very reasonably priced so I would say its a little gem. I'm almost sad to recommend it in case it gets too busy.

I mean it wasn't a bad place. The pho was pretty good 4/5 Spring rolls 2/5 Rice noodle 4/5 Seats were dirty had an itchy bum and decor dingy 1/5 Think prices were quite high for the quality. Beers around £5.5 and green tea £5 a pot. Mix fruit juice £5.

When I entered this restaurant, I was overwhelmed by the musky smell and regretted not looking at the reviews beforehand. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food tasted, and not as bad as I thought. Because I had bad first impressions, I limited my dishes to papaya beef salad and grilled chicken with bun. The restaurant was pretty much empty so the heating was not on and felt cold.

The food here is taken very seriously and has a strong Vietnamese flavor, especially this cup of drip coffee. Will definitely come again if I have the chance.

Highly recommend the - The food is lovely as always! The banh mi are brilliant if you haven't tried! I just wish their bubble tea options on Justeat worked properly as when i select a milk tea, it pops up to ask for syrup choice too and won't let me proceed. I'm not sure if the restaurant know that, or if its a justeat issue, but hopefully they can fix it

My partner and I have been coming here regularly for years. It’s our favourite place to eat in Bromley! The food is always delicious, the portion sizes are very generous, and all for a great price. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Food was delivered late. Both pork chop and beef were over cooked. Poor value for money and never again.

The prawn pho - the prawn 🦐 is small one and only 3-4 number, not worth it

I have tried many different pho restaurants in England, I can say it is the best one I have been . The soup is tasty not very salty like others. Beef is the best one! Have been here multiple times but always forget to give review. Highly recommend rare beef pho and summer spring roll!!

The crispy (more soggy) prawn pancake was basically all beansprouts with a couple of pathetic of half cut prawns half thrown in, the texture clearly indicating they were NOT fresh. The pho broth was tasty, not very hot, but the meat once again, a complete let down!! Same story with the prawns, the chicken didn't taste fresh and the beef was full of fatty bits. The shaking beef wasn't soft, quite tough actually. The only consistently good dish were the summer rolls. For the price we paid, it honestly feels like a scam. Who knows, maybe eating at the restaurant has a different result but I highly doubt it!! P.S - ordered on UberEats, had no problem with them, all our problems are with the restaurant, there's no way an order can be received, freshly cooked and delivered in half an hour!

Waste of money. I was very eager to try this vietnamese restaurant at first hoping to taste and eat authentic and delicious pho but i was very disappointed. Bland. Tasteless. Awful. You think you coming to a place with its name as their specialty and expect that the food will be nice but you end up regretting. We had to order another food which is basic stir fry for my partner but still it tasted nothing, couldnt even do a proper stir fry. I love vietnamese food but this restaurant had me to think otherwise.

Amazing food and service! The spicy noodle soup was perfect, and summer rolls were excellent (as always). The waitress Indya was super helpful, and provided the best customer service experience! Will definitely be returning :)

Excellent food but the delivery time kept changing for arrival. But the food out ways the wait - it’s incredible.

Nice affordable meal, staff were really accommodating - you can tell they care a lot about their business. My meal seemed a little simple but I would go again and choose the pancakes next time.

Nice service, good portions sizes. We’ve got Pho Bo and Meat Platter for BBQ (you can use bbq and hot pot at the table) and that was so delicious! Looking forward to come here again!

Local Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Bromley. I went there few times and never been disappointed. They also do barbecue and hot pots which we have not tried yet - should do shortly. Great pho and summer rolls. The Banh Mi are great too with many options of pork, chicken etc...

We tried this restaurant for the first time and I have to say, I'm disappointed. I had the Shacking Beef, it was so bland it seemed to me like they had just fried it oil with no seasoning because there were non of the characteristics flavours you normally find Vietnamese cooking. The Pho soup, which my husband had, did not seem fresh and the Brisket was dry. If you like Vietnamese food I would say this place may not be the one. However one positive the rice was well cooked.

The tofu pho was great with very generous portion sizes. The che ba mau was disappointing as the majority of it was ice and wasn’t much mung bean. Aside from that I will continue to order as this is my current favourite takeaway place! Perfect for vegans.

Always enjoy eating here. The pho is always excellent and too much to eat in one go.

My wife goes here lots and the food is always really yum. The staff are always so nice and friendly too. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are always pretty big. It's also opposite the best pub in London which is very handy!

There are lots of nice veggie and vegan options at Bowl O’Pho - including tofu, vegetables and rice, pho, spring rolls, pancakes and Banh Mi. Service is reasonably friendly and efficient. Prices are fair. A solid spot in Bromley.

Food was off the scales. Definitely coming back here. We had the BBQ and shared a Pho. Portions are very generous

Tried this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was and the portions were really generous. We ordered starters then main and we all were struggling to finish the main. And when the bill came we were super surprised, had to check the bill twice as it was lower than we were expecting for all that good we had. I will definitely be going to the restaurant again.

Me and friends went their for the hotpot. Lots of variety in choice and even preselected platters if you couldn't decide. The heater for the broth is on the right side of the table so it can be a bit of an effort to reach, but delicious food and a peaceful atmosphere made up for it.

Delicious and crispy fried shrimp rolls… generous courses and good food.

This place is often empty whenever we walk past, but we thought we would give it a go. Wish we hadn't as while the service was fine the food was just plain dull. My wife's pho was ok, with tender beef but the broth, key to a classic pho was very average. My battered prawns with rice were something else. The batter was too heavy with far too much flour and no seasoning making them tasteless, it was also undercooked and the rice was just rice accompanied by two slices of cucumber two slices of tomato and some grated carrot. Altogether disappointing.

Speedy delivery. Food piping hot. Too bad the chicken has a weird taste, almost out of date. Beef was chewy. The soup was bland. The salad had a weird after taste, either vinegar or fish. Please improve the quality of food so we can order again, thanks.

A mixed experience. Some dishes were great, others less so. Things that would improve it would be a children / side menu to make it more family friendly, and being quicker to acknowledge and resolve issues with food rather than simply ignore a complaint.

Pho is bland, milk tea is a wrong flavor, ordered taro, but you gave me the wrong flavor

Sorry but the three colour desert on your menu has to be one of the most disgusting things I’ve tasted in my life. I was so excited to try it because I love che ba mau desert in general and theirs is more expensive than others in the area so I thought this has to be good (which probably makes this situation even more daunting), but I couldn’t even swallow it properly because it was so bad. Chucked it right in the bin. I never leave reviews unless It’s something outrageous so take from this what you will.

I think this is the only Vietnamese Restaurant in Bromley. Good selection of Vietnamese food. I had the Beef Pho. The broth was ok. Bit to sweet for my liking. The pho itself looked liked it has just been taken out of the package as some of it are as clumped together in a square shape. I would have preferred some more salad/herbs with the dish. I also had the spring roll and that was not too bad. I also tried their bubble tea - best to stay leave the bubble tea to bubble tea shops. It was very empty when I went. Not a bad place if your hungry and want some warm Vietnamese comfort food but not the best Vietnamese tasting food either.

Slow but friendly service. Food of average quality - very expensive for the product. One could have a quicker, cheaper version of the same thing cooking at home.

Fantastic food full of fresh flavours! Good prices, too. Great for veggies, nice beers. Bish bash bosh! Good for a lunch bite, but not for a romantic evening.

Just a bit awkward they were early as we were coming back from holiday so it was lucky we got back early!

Forgot to deliver the peanut sauce with the summer rolls. When this happens and I'm hungry I don't want to call a restaurant to chase a dip, so I ended up eating them without sauce (bland). The pho was a bit dull too, I added my own herbs. Not the best experience.

A great place for Pho at reasonable price. Their summer roll and prawn crackers are delicious, they also have nice services. I'd recommend and go again myself.

The food was OK but it gave me food poisoning

I attended during lunch time on the 19th July. Had chicken satay with rice. Couldn't taste the satay or it was very weak in my view. However the mango milky bubble tea was great. Would go back just for the bubble tea.

Love this place the food is excellent!

Been here a handful of times and service was always slow. Religiously order the variation of beef Pho and after today I am confident I would not be back. The taste got worse and worse and now it just taste watery. Have a feeling they use those premade Pho seasonings that's the only explanation. Toppings are non existent. We finished the meal and had to wait for the waitresses to finish their conversation and we still had to go to the counter to pay, since us politely calling them over was not apparent enough. Although it is a nice thing they offer a BBQ and hotpot option. The marinate on some of the meat isnt too nice so would recommend the veg or seafood option. Havent tried the hotpot but it's hard to go wrong with that so theres a chance it is good. Hope it is helpful. Would recommend Eat Vietnam in Deptford for better taste.
