I was staying at the hotel so came here quite a lot very good place to go to chill out lovely breakfast and brilliant service also Leanne was very friendly and kind

Food was nice, good price, Charlie is a good lad pleasant and smilie

Went here yesterday with my parents and was super impressed, food was hot and delicious and they had some great BOGOF offers on too. Staff are really friendly and very helpful, they really want everything to be good for you. Give them a follow on Facebook, they always have something going on, quiz nights, showing the football etc. Great place, lots of parking, outside tables under cover, great food and wonderful staff, what’s not to love! Very happy to recommend x

The pub was freezing cold. The food took 50 minutes to arrive and when it did I wished it hadn’t. Half of my steak was just a big lump of fat, and it was cold in the middle and a good vet could have brought it back even tho I ordered medium. My daughter’s fish was hard, overcooked and was mainly burnt batter with a small amount of funny coloured fish in the middle. I’d say the worst pub food I’ve had in a long time. We came a few weeks ago and it was crap then aswell but everywhere deserves a second chance. Definitely won’t come again. The chef interview must consist of “so who here is absolutely horrendous as cooking? “ you’re hired. Not to mentioned old food still stuck to knife and forks.

Was an amazing stay here at the bowman never any problems when I come here. Lovely meal and staff at the pub and even in the hotel had a lovely women called Jane help us and answered any questions we had, she was very friendly

Recently visited with the kids for a family dinner. Prices were perfect, and the service was excellent. Mia was our server, and her service was phenomenal. She made sure that our food was to our liking, and was very happy to help us. Will definitely be visiting again very soon!

First time coming it was amazing the drinks were okay price and the staff was nothing but lovely.

Came here 2 weeks ago on Thurs night for a family outing ,atmosphere was chilled,food 2 meals for £12.50 was a bargain and excellent,but most of all the staff and service was absolutely amazing couldn't fault anything would highly recommend the bowman,look forward to coming back soon.

Great place to stay, tram station 5 minutes walk away to get to the city centre, a bus service 2 mins from hotel .

We had a great time at the bowman, Anthony our server was very friendly and welcoming, even finding us a table when all seemed resevered.

Room had no working heating, this left the room very cold considering it was mid December. The furnishings and decor look like they'd come straight from the 90's. It was however clean. The food and drink is typical of a Greene King, nothing to write home about and a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

The food was of a high standard and all tasted really nice I will visit again I highly recommend the bowman

Very rarely do I get served in a timely manner at this place. Today I had to walk out as I couldn't stand waiting all day for barstaff to have personal conversations on the phone. Won't be bothering again anytime soon 👎🏽

We came in for a late lunch, had our usual bbq meat sharer with the mac and cheese swapped out. It was lush as usual.

My wife and I visited for her bday dinner. Having previously dining here we were looking forward to it. Shouldn't if bothered though. Service was friendly, did came quickly considering the time & how busy they were. Unfortunately as soon as the food arrived it sailed downhill, my wife's Hunters chicken was fine ( except was very difficult to find any bbq sauce in the dish) myself i started with nachos and mac and cheese. The nachos were cold ( like fridge cold) cheese unmelted, covered in a gloopy mix of ready made sauce. No tomato to speak of. The tray and paper were a nice touch though. As for the mac and cheese it tasted of uncooked flour, was stone cold and so thick you could bounce it on the floor if you so chose. I informed them of the issue with the food, the lovely bar maid assured me it would be corrected. 5 mins later the same mac that had be poked and prodded because of temperature and not cooked reappears in a fresh bowl (including the tomato piece i had accidentally transfered from my nachos) nuked into oblivion now hot, but be better eating dehydrated soup. 1 plus point the fries i ate whilst waiting for the remedy were lovely. All in all not good. For context this was a Thursday evening around half 7 so by no way there busy time and plenty of empty tables.

Not used the accomodatuon for many years but dined there often. Charlie was very helpful and attentative with our order. Our food was delivered in good time and we didn't have to wait too long between courses. Charlie was quick to clean our table when we had finished our meal. Would recommend the food and service.

It's ok, convenient to order from table. Food is ok and consistently ok. Price is very reasonable too. I'd say sometimes the service can be hit and miss depending on which side of the bed the person serving you woke up on but generally it's fine.

Our orders was wrong,food was cold,had gravy it was more like a clump of jelly staff didn't seem bothered ..will not be going there again or would I recommend it..it was also dark and dreary ,no atmosphere .absolutely shocking and very disappointed to say the least.

Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, friendly hardworking staff. Lots of free parking. Sport on tvs inside, quieter areas away from this if you want though. Great with kids
