This used to be good, well the quality is still reasonable; ignoring brown bits on the salad. But the quantity has shrunk and if memory serves this is just as the price increased. Now I know times are hard but it might explain how we easily got a seat. Coffee, toastie and cake x2 cost more than two main meals and two drinks last night. To put it this way we called in to a pie shop on the way home.

Been here several times and always knocked over by the cleanliness and fresh feeling. There’s a good selection of tables inside and, weather permitting, seating outside too. The staff have always been attentive and cheerful and seem to really enjoy working there. I usually stick to my cheese scones and Americano coffee. Although they don’t do heavy lunches there is a good selection of light lunches that are bound to please and I can recommend their bacon butties - excellent. Brandsby’s is within a BATA garden centre / agricultural setting with plenty of books (particularly cook books and gardening books), occasion cards as well as the usual gardening bric-a-brac, making it a pleasure to wander around after a pleasing snack. Well worth a try.

I have become a regular at Brandsby’s, the coffee and cheese scones are excellent. But more importantly the staff are engaging and pleasant at all times.

Amazing staff, nothing ever too much, happy to meet everyone’s needs. Cakes are amazing, good choice of gluten free cakes too

I met a friend for coffee and breakfast rolls at this new cafe in the Bata garden centre. So clean, so friendly and the produce so fresh. We sat out in the sun and really enjoyed ourselves. I then revisited with my son and treated ourselves to some of the traybake they have on offer. Again, amazing and yummy!! This place will be a regular haunt for me and my family and friends. Go and try it, you won't be disappointed.

Went to the beeswing with my family for tea. Firstly we were greeted by a lovely waitress we hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy but she found us a table no problem. Drinks arrived swiftly and our order was taken. The children's meals came and they were huge. Plenty for my 11 and 12 year old children. Our meals were delicious, very big portions but at no sacrifice to taste. Staff were friendly, bubbly and couldn't do enough for is even though it was busy.

All ways a friendly welcome. Found this fish and chip shop one day whilst traveling through Thirsk. Fish and chips so good we occasionally have had a ride out from Filey to Thirsk to have some and will continue to do so.

A cut above your normal Sunday pub lunch. Excellent presentation and really tasty. Not the normal boiled veg. Very good.

I organised my Netball Teams Christmas Party here in December and it couldn’t have been better! The food was absolutely amazing, way too much for us all and the upstairs private room was perfect for our gathering. We were also kindly allowed to go downstairs later on in the night into the barn to watch the band, which was fab! All the girls had an amazing time and we couldn’t thank Whinstone enough! We will definitely be back♥️
