Great local pub that serves delicious Indian food. It can be very busy but the staff do work hard and get around!

A popular venue for a reception after a funeral at the nearby crematorium. I have been there a few times over the years and would not hesitate to recommend this venue.

It was on time, but it only stated the waiting time was over a hour and a half once I’d ordered and paid

I, along my 3 friends, visited the restaurant, where we were welcomed and shown out table. The waiters were friendly and provided their recommendations when requested. The food was good and, most importantly Jatka meat. So 5 stars for it. The drinks were reasonably priced too. Overall a nice meal with friends and will surely keep visiting this little gem.

Food was good but no atmosphere. We were sat at this long white lifeless conservatory and we were the only occupied table for the first hour. And then one more. When they brought my birthday cake to the table there was no music or smiling staff . I have seen better birthday presentations. VAT and + service charge increased the final bill by almost a third. Should have been clearer in the menue about these extra charges ,not just small prints .

Visited with the family in a group off 11 people .The restaurant does multi cuisine dishes and has a vast  menu. They clearly advertise that they do non-halal which is a plus point. The food was tasty and the service was good. We were well looked after by the staff. The sizzler had a variety but personally I would have preferred to choose the items we liked. The corn shabji and paneer palak were good vegetarian dishes. The tilapia fish came in a lovely sauce. Definitely recommend this place and small and large parties.

Good food, wide selection of draught beers, bit expensive though food quality is high. For example the lamb chops have foil wrapped round the holding end so your fingers don't get messy - nice attention to detail. Kind of venue you'd go for an informal treat meal with friends or family. Update: Went recently Nov 2024. No longer put foil on end of lamb chops. Still great food but would be nice to retain these little touches.

Last night, four of us dined at your establishment, taking advantage of the special offer on the carvery, which included a fruit salad and cheese platter. The food was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we did encounter a concern regarding the service. After finishing our main course, we had to remind the waitress to bring the included fruit salad and cheese platter, which we noticed was promptly offered to other guests without a reminder. Additionally, while we observed other tables receiving these items in individual portions, we were served the fruit salad in a single bowl with three forks to share, which felt somewhat inconsistent with what was provided to other guests. As someone with nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I understand the importance of equitable treatment for all guests, especially in a diverse community such as ours. We all pay the same amount for our meals and should expect the same quality of service and presentation, regardless of appearance or background. Please know that my intention in sharing this feedback is constructive, as I believe in the value of fair and respectful treatment for every customer. I hope this message encourages a closer look at service standards to ensure that all guests receive the exceptional hospitality that I know your establishment is capable of providing.

Where do I start? The food was far too spicy and oily. When we complained, I was told that I should’ve mentioned it when we ordered. I feel have been given a choice before. The whole place has a musty smell and the chairs were covered with filthy chair covers. The toilets Were very unclean and out of the two ladies toilets one had no lock and the other it was hard to actually get into the toilet because of the way the door was positioned. The place is shabby and needs updating.

Sunday afternoon, place was very quiet. Dog friendly pub, yet 3 of the serving staff were afraid of dogs. Food was tasty, definitely had a bit too much for my guests.Nans were small and thin, not fluffy and soft. Loud shouting between staff at the bar wasn't conducive for a good atmosphere.

Great food and awesome ambience. Situated in cul-de-sac, with ample parking, a wonderful place for enjoying Indian food.

Superb well run pub/restaurant providing a great range of freshly prepared and tasty meals (either Indian or European). There is also a wide choice of drinks available, this includes some lovely beers. Although the restaurant is quite large, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are helpful and efficient without being intrusive. I live many miles away from the restaurant and wish it was nearer so I could visit more often.

I used to visit this place in the 90's with my two sons, for a game of pool, a drink & a pub meal when I used to live in Harefield. Now back after nearly 30 years following too many recommendations. A very impressive Indian Food restaurant, elegant layout, excellent food from a varied menu. Service is top, staff are courteous & well trained. We will definitely be returning soon with some of our overseas visiting friends..

I see Muslims have a BIG ISSUE with saying non halal. Welcome to our world when we see Halal signs everywhere. The world doesn’t only just evolve around you. Next thing we going to see is a Goverment petition on the Breakspear arms saying turn it to halal from the Muslims. Sikhs are forbidden to eat Halal food as you guys are forbidden to eat Non halal food. This is a pub in the first place so what on earth you gonna come here for anyway? Bounce!!!

This place is really brilliant,the bar staff really looks after customers,always smiling and never an issue,beers ice cold ,the owner is so relaxed.He ensures a calm atmosphere. Song the bar manager is do efficient and always on the ball,great service always . Smiling and welcoming

I visited this place one evening with my partner after driving past it so many times! I must say, what a lovely venue…. I really can’t complain about anything… the service is phenomenal and the food is delicious!! I was lucky to meet the owner and his lovely Husky, lots of bench space in the garden and good for money!!

Food was amazing, service not great no smiling and very awkwardly. They take everyone from the table without asking if finished or not. Alot of flies plus the walls and chairs were very dirty. Could do with a repaint. Food definitely very good.

I wrote a message to the resturant to include some sauces and offcourse they never listened and bothered reading it

This has to be one of my favourite place. Good variety of dishes but it has to be their mix grill or lamb chops.

Average ambience and location. Good Indian food. Limited choice of beers. Service was on the slower side due to many customers . Mixed grill was good, as we're the mains. Naans were fresh and delicious. Crispy corn was perhaps the surprising winner

My food came cold and they sent a food out for delivery message 50 minutes before arrival!!!! I had to microwave everything

Went with family to celebrate a birthday. Good options for kids. Able to watch the T20 cricket. Excellent and attentive service. Good food. Garden useful for kids to play outside

Food was lovely, Service was very slow and had to repeat the orders. Between 2 we had mixed grill, 4 naan and 4 beers and charged £83..

Rubbish frozen starters. I will not recommend this place. Monk - Denham is much better place for fine indian dinning with authentic starters and mains. I visited the place with family, all frozen veg starters and non veg starters were alright. We decided to have mains at Monk where we often visit.

We came to this place for dinner and absolutely loved it—the atmosphere and vibe were fantastic. What stood out was the clear mention of "North Indian food (non-halal)" on the menu. We were served by a Sardar uncle whose service was impeccable. We ordered a variety of starters: Amritsari fish, which was amazingly good—my daughter tried it for the first time and loved it—tandoori chicken, which was very tasty, and chili chicken, which was spicy but flavorful. However, the spring rolls were disappointing and tasteless. For the main course, we had Hakka noodles, dal makhani with rice, naan, and bhuna chicken. Everything was delicious, although the bhuna chicken was just okay. We loved the atmosphere and the excellent service, especially from the Sardar uncle. We will definitely be coming back.

Finally a Non halal eatery! Absolutely brilliant and something all other eateries should take note of! Sick of all places only catering for halal food, thank you for being different and taking a stand! Great food, great atmosphere!

I visited the restaurant last Sunday with my family. We enjoyed the food - it was well seasoned and portions were decent. However, the service let the whole experience down. We weren't even greeted as we entered and from there on, the service was lackluster. The staff that served us didn't even smile - they seemed uninterested. It's a shame that the customer service did not compliment the quality of the actual restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the area. We dined here once again a couple weeks ago and had a great time. Great food, really good portions, and reasonably priced. Our waitress Irina really looked after us and made my mother in law feel really special for her birthday. We will return very soon.

I heard a lot about this place, and finally had a chance to check it out. The food was great, but even more so, the service by Irena was amazing… She made me feel welcomed, from the moment I walked through the door. Also “Bear” the Dog is super cute too! I will be returning here for sure.

The place had lovely ambience and convenient parking, however the food did not quite reach the highest standards. I have had more flavourful and reasonably priced Indian cuisine elsewhere. Overall, despite our hopes, my family and I were disappointed with the food and felt it could definitely be improved.

Food is very nice. A good mixture. Service was good. Great for birthdays and other celebrations. Parking for more than enough cars.

No longer dog friendly. Been bringing our dog here for ages and all of a sudden they’ve said no dogs allowed, even on a leash (apart from their own dog which roams around freely around the whole pub). Shame because we went there a lot and now we won’t be!!

We took our dad for his 90th birthday lunch. The owner was gracious and we had a good laugh. Which is always a great sign for any owner operator. The food was delicious, starter portions were generous, the mains not so much. Nonetheless it was sufficient. The service wasn’t overbearing, ample parking and we will be returning there fairly soon.

Loved the food at this pub! The lamb kabobs were some of the best I have ever had. The prawns were also really good. The chicken Tikka did miss though. It could have used a bit more flavor. And the paneer Tikka was perfectly marinated and cooked. We only had apps and hope on my next visit to London to try some of their curries!

The chicken main courses dishes are all breast pieces, presumably because it’s easier to prepare. . I ordered Chicken Madras expecting it to be ‘off-the-bone’ chicken pieces, but again, it was just breast pieces. A bit of a cop-out.

Food was good but could be spicier.

They didn't acknowledge me when I came to collect my food. Then they hadn't processed the food order but had taken my money. When food did arrive they just put it on the table, said there is you're food and walked away. Won't be buying from here again

Nice Indian restaurant with lovely food.

It's a great place if you want lovely Indian food, pub drinks and to watch football. They struggled a little with their service as it was extremely busy due to the Cup final. The food is very spicy so be prepared or ask them to tone it down a little. My friends were struggling to eat the food without yoghurt. It was tasty none the less. Next time we might try the roasts they serve on Sunday.

Good quality has deteriorated nowadays. Daal makhni was hopeless and disgusting compared to money being charged for it.

Attended a wake here so food was probably different from what they normally offer. However the food we had was very tasty and well presented. Service was excellent and staff very helpful. A very good function room.

Great food and service as usual. I've been coming here for a few years now and have never been let down by the food or quality of service. The mix veg platter is amazing! The portion sizes are generous. Easy to park. Plenty of seating. A great place to eat with friends and family!

Big portions by London standards, typical of North Indian food. Authentic North Indian flavours with options for seafood and English food lovers as well. Fish Amritsari is a must try. Ample free parking available as well.

Visited Breakspear Arms on a Saturday evening. The well-cooked food boasted generous portion sizes and delightful flavors. Although it wasn’t overly crowded during my visit, its popularity could easily lead to a busier atmosphere. The restaunt has a unique mix of Indian and British food with a bar. Regardless, it’s undoubtedly a recommended spot for a delightful Indian meal. The customer service by Irina was excellent, the service was prompt, she was helpful and a great host. The restaurant proudly displays ‘Greene King’ on its exterior board, but unfortunately, discounts are not part of their offerings.

My second visit with friends to the Breakspear Arms and it didn't disappoint. Seriously, good food, very generous portions, and pleasant staff. I dont understand why this it wasn't heaving with customers. Tandoori mixed grill is a must for meat eaters. Mogo chips are a must for all. Look forward to my next visit soon. 😊

The food was great, healthy portions and very flavoursome. The service was also friendly and prompt by the waitresses, Iriana. It was easy to get a booking which I was told you must do, however when we arrived at 19:30 on a Friday evening it was less than half full. The restaurant has two main areas, a pub seating area and a more formal dining area. Dogs are allowed on the pub side, so if you don’t like them request the other formal side. There were 5 dogs when we ate, and at one point the pub husky (who’s quite a unit) broke its way out from behind the bar and attacked a smaller dog. Please think twice before you bring your beloved pooch here.

Fantastic food - the bhatura, paneer makhani, sweetcorn curry were the highlights! Great service by staff. Would definitely recommend. Laccha paratha was a bit disappointing.

Awesome North Indian style food.

Great tasting Indian food in a relaxed setting. Food was served efficiently with the highlight being the methi corn which was comfortingly sweet and homely. The bhatura was also fluffy and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Service was not the best and I had to ask numerous times for water despite other people’s drinks already being served on the table 24 minutes prior. I also asked for ice cream with the chocolate cake and when I asked the waitress about this she supposedly went to get some but never returned. Parking is ample and seating is available near the bar or inn a more intimate setting.

The food was delicious and spicy, just as we asked! We would happily go back for more food. The pub itself is a little dated, and the toilets do need updating. The highlight was meeting Bear, their beautiful dog.

NO LONGER DOG FRIENDLY!!! We booked a table over a week ago and clearly specified that we needed a table for 8, including a baby and a dog. We turned up today after a 2 hour drive from near Leicester to meet with family. As we arrived, we were immediately confronted by two managers not to come inside as we had our dog with us?! Shocked! We've been coming here for years with our dog, we love the food, and the fact we can bring our pooch with us. They told us about incidents with their own dog and dogs that were visiting, which I can understand the change of policy. Today, after explaining that they didn't tell us over the phone or ring us beforehand and that we travelled 2hours to get there, they kindly made an execption! However, while we were there, other people with dogs were allowed in! Okay, they are small dogs, but the bad reviews, which were about the dog incidents, involved small dogs. No mention of the policy change has been made on facebook. On google, it is still classed as dog friendly! Imagine turning up to the door, your family waiting to welcome you, and this is what they do! From reading the other reviews. The owners dog is in the wrong. Why can't they create a safe space for their dog to enjoy or keep on a long lead where they can roam in a designated area?! I am so sad, as a regular visitor, and I have brought so many new customers here who have enjoyed the food, I will now be telling them to no longer go here and we can find many places more welcoming for us all and our pup!

The Indian vegetarian food was really good. I enjoyed it with Friends. The service was good too. We had lunch and then dessert and left.

We were not happy with service. Had asked for jug of water to w different waiters in including the manger till 3rd waitresses got it. Gujrati people should know this uf u want Chripy bhajia then ask for crispy potato otherwise if u order as Chripy bhajia then u will end up with Punjabi onion bhaji which no doubt wss tasty. Crispy potato was worst i have ever eaten. Prices slightly more than like for like restaurant abd not value for money as portion were small. Won't visit again. Also not kids friendly suggest for under 5 they have colourings sheets lije Nandos to keep kids occupied

The food here is undoubtedly authentic and mouthwatering. The restaurant provides a pub with a diverse selection of beverages and a family dining area to cater to all preferences. However, there's room for improvement in customer service. The staff lacks smiles and tends to rush customers in making their choices in family dining section. Quantity suggestions are not readily offered. For a more enjoyable dining experience, it's advisable to go early, as there's a tendency to encourage diners to finish their meals as closing time approaches.

Some authentic dishes like tte lamb bhuna a daal makhani both were excellent. Dissapointed with veg samosa but otherwise great service and good beer. Mixed grill is always very good and comes sizzling and loaded.

Always enjoy a meal here....the Indian food has a North Indian twist which is different from our local options amd the menu is huge with Indo Chinese options (noodles very good) and traditional English dishes, so always something good for kids. Nice beer garden for when weather is good too.

CAUTION ⚠️ ⛔️ As many others have mentioned too of similar incidents not just to dogs but humans too!! If you are looking for a dog friendly pub AVOID going here. Our little one was on leash the owner’s big dog off leash came running bit him on neck. It was a narrow escape risking even us. We left never to return!!

Unfortunately on this occasion the service was very poor took ages for the starters:( Fried Mogo was like leftovers fried again in old oil and Lamb Tikka was like chewing on rubber. Very disappointed!

I thought it had turned into a toilet and was stopped en route.

We stopped off while out cycling, had a lamb biriyani and paneer tikka, perfect cycling food 💪, very tasty and quick service.

The mix grill is top tier! Very friendly and welcoming pub with great selection of beers and even better food. Wasn't expecting much initially as indian food in the area is not too great but I was definitely made to eat my words. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! Dog friendly too which is rare for indian restaurants. Will definitely be back soon.
