BrewDog Carlisle in Carlisle

In Carlisle you can’t find much craft beer but thanks to Brewdog for saving my life because they always offer the great variety of craft beers their own brew as well as the guest breweries. Still the prices are very pocket friendly compared to other places around. The staff are really friendly and helpful to choose a drink for you incase if you don’t know much. Big seating area and there's even pool tables. Perfect for party and have great fun. Really recommend if you around in area.

Brewdog Carlisle hosted our engagement party for us and they did absolutely amazing. We were so happy with the spread of food and the of course the drink. Zoe made the party run smoothly and was so lovely to us and our guests. It was definitely somewhere different to have an engagement party but we couldn’t be happier that we choose brewdog. The space allocated to us was just enough and placed by the pool tables which guests could enjoy. It really was a lovely place to have a party and for everyone to feel happy and relaxed. I would definitely have a party again in future for any occasion

We come here quite often, learned to order food ASAP as it can be quite a wait, especially if you are in a big group. It is worth the wait, very yummy! Great for sensible kids as there are board games to enjoy, prevents them from running wild and annoying other people. Dogs are always welcome too!

Great staff and excellent pizzas.

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with a raw feel to the interior! This is contributed to by the beer barrels and objects lining the shelves, designs showing scenes out at water are cool too. The counter is well-presented, staff were approachable and I had a pint of their Raspberry beer which was nice! Pool table is a lot of fun to play on and different card games available help for a good time too.

We booked a Beer School session after reading about it online. We had a fantastic afternoon, Dylan talked us through each of the beers and let us into a few secrets behind some of the drinks. He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we could think of. The addition of cheese and crackers was very welcome. Overall a excellent value for money experience. Thank you Dylan.

I had the great pleasure of being served by the wonderful and amazing Dylan and david last week, I came in to a busy bar when I got to the till david talked me threw the great options of drafts and exquisite gins and helped me pick out the best pizza iv had in a long time. Once seated the charming and ever so cute Dylan brought my food over and gave me some tips on how to spend my time in carlisle and what other drinks to try. Both me were ever so helpful with me. I hope brewdog know how lucky they are to have these 2 amazing men on there team can't wait to come back and see them again.

Me and the wife and my 2 girls are on holiday in Carlisle, and loved playing monopoly having a drink and chilling till 8pm as that's when the bairns are allowed in till.. brilliant bar and service

Best bar in Carlisle. Great beer. Massive selection. Pizzas are lovely. New pool tables are a brilliant addition. Music is always on point and the staff are good craic too. Favourite place to go.

It's OK. It's a pub. Not much choice in terms of food... would you like a pizza or a hot dog? The hot dog I had WAS nice, I can't deny, but don't expect fries with that...

Visited in May 2024 as I had an hour before getting my train. The selection of beers on offer was great and the bar lady was excellent in providing me with clear descriptions of the styles, flavours of each of the IPAs that I had narrowed it down to. She even offered me tasters without me having to ask for them. I went with her recommendation, a pint of Wingman! It was certainly a good choice. The bar appears rather dark on entering but is actually really nice once in. Very contemporary furniture is used (heavy timber in a chunky/industrial kinda style) with both traditional seating and more novel styles, such as the box staggered seating. This creates a really nice and unique atmosphere. TV screens are on the walls but do not dominate the space. With the staff also being very friendly it was a most enjoyable stop off & I will certainly be returning when in Carlisle again.

Edit to original post, great service, tried the pizza and would highly recommend trying them. Fantastic staff, couldn't fault the service in any way and the knowledge of the girl behind the bar was amazing. Be brave people and git on the mulled cider

I came in for a lovely date with my wife. we were greeted by a lovely young chap called Dylan that talked us through the menu and the guessed bears, we sat down by the bar and had a good chat with the manageress "Gemma " about the bar and company and we we're very interested and the young man who made our pizzas with the north east accent think he was from Hexham, made sure all my wife's dietary requirements were taken care of. All in all we had amazing time and might have to make it our new regular pup

Big shout out to Dylan who knew his beers and gave me great advice for takeaway for the train. Top lad!

Visited last night. Placed our order via the online system. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, another 35 for our food. The pizza arrive burnt (although they did offer to remake it, but how long would we wait for that?) and the bun on the hot dog was raw (looked like the hot dog was actually cooked in the bun, so the sides were cooked but under the sausage was raw). The temperature was as cold as the atmosphere.

Cool pub with a great selection of beer in Carlisle. Just round the corner from the railway station. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff on the bar. Cheers!

Trying out different spots in the north for craft beer and fell into a Brewdog. Having been a fan of the company already, I was hoping for good service and a great selection of beers and I wasn’t disappointed. I was a huge fan of the newly added to menu Cosmic Dust by Gravity Well Brewing. The staff on the day I attended (manager Zoe and barman Dylan) were excellent and dealt tremendously with a busy period of customers and also maintaining great cleanliness and checking in on customers to make sure everyone was having a good evening. A credit to the company. Will be excited to revisit with friends one day and probably fill a bag with cans from the great selection in the fridge. Cheers!

A huge variety of beer and competent staff

Great atmosphere. Given it was a Saturday night it wasn’t too busy. It meant that there was a really nice relaxed social atmosphere that meant you could have a game of pool without worrying someone was going to spill there pint on you! And obviously 10/10 on the beers as always!

We came from Slovakia to visit our daughter and enjoy Carlisle and Cumbria. At Brewdog we found a great relaxed atmosphere, excellent beer and tasty pizza. We have to come back sometime and try more types of beers. Nice pub.

Well,my brother and his wife booked us in here,on a Friday,at ,6 pm,we arrived at 5.45, ordered our pizza,s,they arrived at 7.10 and they were all wrong,half the ingredients were missing and cold, there was no-one else eating, will never go back,have told everyone I know never to go there

David Lee was an excellent host ands knew a lot of interesting facts about the product.

You'd not think of Carlisle as a haven for Craft beer but this Brewdog is fantastic. The pricing is great compared to most Brewdog bars and beer prices are comparable to the Wetherspoons next door. The staff are really friendly and there's even free pool, what more could you want?

We went to Beer School at BrewDog Carlisle and it was a fantastic experience! Zoe, the general manager, really knows her beer stuff and she & her team looked after us really well. The included cheese board was great too, with a good variety of cheeses for the range of 5 beers we tasted - as well as a few extras at the end... Highly recommended!

This was my first ever freebie in a Brewdog outlook. I somehow have missed every birthday, Annual Punk Day invite until now. As a Alpha Dog I decided it was time to join the fun. Of course the train strike nearly put paid to my day but finally the Avanti Circus Co carried me from Preston to Carlisle. I have had a drink or two in the Botchergate Brewdog before today but not sampled the food. The vegan pizza was the best pizza I have ever tasted. It was washed down with a few pints of great beer and I was impressed by the helpful staff. The place wasn't very busy but the Annual Punk Day was spread over the weekend due to said train panto. I shall be back!

Great bar, lovely atmosphere. Did the £1 beer school booked online as the beers aren’t really my thing but the other half likes them, and it was nice for me to try a little bit. Friendly and attentive staff and table service was brilliant. Didn’t get a picture of his pizza but he informs me it was as good as my beautiful cheeseboard. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Great brewdog to visit, one of the best I would say. Pizza menu looks good and a great ambiance for a few beers right in the centre of Carlisle...so much less expensive than brewdog cheltenham too! Fad a great afternoon here with family when up in Carlisle..Will be back for food next time

Vegan food had butter in it, I’m anaphylactic to dairy so I’m relieved I enquired (2 staff before confirmation). Menu details need reviewed for safety, this type of error has put me in hospital. Unable to log into wifi or app. Apart from this I love the place, love the beer.

A quieter spot on a Saturday night space for all sizes of groups. They'll let you try before you buy so good chance to try some of the weirder brews. Pizzas are pretty good too!

Visited for dinner yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They only do pizza. I had a very spicy pizza, which had a sourdough base (as they all do). It was epic. I don't like beer or IPA so had a lovely cider by Hawkes (Dead n' Berried it was called). Friendly staff but could be a bit more forthcoming when folks come in the door. It was very quiet at dinner time on a Friday. I would revisit the next time I'm in Carlisle but I may consider other places first. Recommended, particularly if you like their beer!

We just popped in for a quick drink. The music was BRILLIANT, the staff are so lovely and helpful, drinks are numerous and tasty, the toilets are fantastic and the games made us stay for much, much longer than we intended.

I went to brewdog today with my mate got a nice 12 inch margarita pizza and a 33CL Fritz Lola drink came to £15.20 Excellent food cheap price will be definitely back here sometime had the brewdog ipa last time I was here out drinking out of many pubs I visited with friends and also had the 50 Cuts stout nice drink and a reasonable price and you just couldn’t fault brewdog

Booked for my daughters hen-party 30th July 2022. All staff were superb,professional so welcoming,food was lovely and the drink tasters were such a great idea. We wish to thank Lynn and her staff for decorating the area so beautifully. And attending to is so wonderfully.I highly recommend Brew dog to you.

Had a lovely lunch here. Great pizza, but the highlight for me was the sour beer range. Service was enthusiastic and prompt. My server, a blonde Scottish girl, clearly knew a lot about craft beer and was passionate about the subject. Looking forward to going back

£2.00 a pint cheaper across the range than in London. When in Carlisle, I will visit Brewdog in Botchergate. I hope it's as good as the Brewdog in Camden which is fantastic.

This is a pizza pub. We waited over an hour for our meal to arrive and when it did, it was wrong. In the meantime, we were 'entertained' by two large dogs facing each other down!

Spent a great couple of hours in here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, good music, relaxed atmosphere and great beers. Fresh cooked pizzas looked tasty too but didn't indulge. Will visit again when back in Carlisle

We booked table to guarantee a booth seat for dinner as it was valentines night. The staff were friendly on arrival and throughout our evening. The pizzas here are really nice and crispy. Lots of beer to choose from if your not sure what to have staff will help you choose

Received a voucher offering 10% off a pizza and a free beer for runners taking part in the Santa dash, thanks for this. I've never been in a Brew Dog bar, to be honest, I don't drink beer or lager as a rule, however I was pleasantly surprised. Love the interior, feels very relaxed, nice friendly staff, enjoyed the cider and the pizza was delicious, think I should have shared one though, it was pretty big. The only criticism I'd make was that the service was a little slow and perhaps a wee bit disorganised, the offer on the flyer should have stated 1/2 pint. Will definitely visit again though as its a pretty cool bar.

Great place wonderful beer!! We had s few pints after dinner here and they were awesome! My brother is a certified ciceron and he loved the beers here! Great service, nice place and great ambiance!!! The place is so nice and hip!

I have had a few experiences with Brewdog in other places in the UK but this was very special.There weren't so many other customers in the pub so the man behind the bar could concentrate on explaning the different kinds of the beer on tap to me.Some very nice, some far away from what you would expect from a beer - and some which I didn't like at all.Many interesting details and stories behind it all.Too many different beers to taste all of them in one night - so there is a good reason to go there again.

Had a pleasant couple of hours in here. Food was nice but slow to come. Staff were friendly. They have a passport system where you get a stamp for each Brew Dog pub if you have a discount card.

A really good BrewDog, friendly and patient staff (generally great service all round) and you always know what you are getting. The bathrooms were a bit filthy but that happens on Saturdays I suppose. Nevertheless, I definitely think this place is worth a visit!

I’m struggling to keep up with the pace that BrewDog is breeding at. This however is another great reflection of what BrewDog does best - fresh craft beer in a friendly atmosphere

Nice place allows dogs in has a bit more character than most pubs.. Prices are pretty standard it's a shame that wether spoons is full whilst places like this are not

On a street which is filled with pubs and clubs which offer you more of the same, this place stands out. The one thing you notice when you walk in is that there is a real mixed demographic when you go inside. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming the staff are. The food is excellent and really good value for money. I recommend the halloumi pizza and if you are vegan the hero. The clockwork tangerine beer goes down a treat. Dogs are welcome here and we saw the most laid back and friendly pooch. The bench style seating at the back is perfect for groups of friends wanting to catch up. If you want somewhere different, a bit quirky with atmosphere, this is for you. I went here on a Friday night and loved it so much, we came back for a quick drink on the Saturday. Rich in diversity from hipsters to members of the LGBT community, dog lovers, students and solo drinkers, I would go back here in a heartbeat.

We love Brewdogs so are a bit biased however this is now one of our favourite ones in the UK. The staff were so friendly and helpful. As always, a great selection of beer to choose from. We also had the meat and cheese platters which were huge and very tasty! Big thanks to Rachael who looked after us when we visited, you are a real asset to the company! We will definitely be back soon.

Have good events but lately spoilt by staff.Staff last day so rude, say to us too busy to serve us but no one else around.Take a long time for the pizza to arrive then told when we complaint what do you expect when I have so many jobs to do. poor attitude not so good.Sorry to say this.

Me and my boyfriend were thinking of having a few drinks untill a man was putting his dog on the bar and then putting it behind the bar and filming it and make a big seen of it all at no point did the staff tell him to stop in fact the female looked awkward about the hole thing. I understand it's a dog friendly bar but I'm sure that doesn't meen the dog is aloud to walk on the bar and behind it. I dont wanna find do hair in my drink and tbh if he wasn't there we probably would of stayed and enjoyed it but the man was just to rude and egotistical to sanction a reson to stay.

Title says it all really, though the Brewdog doesn't have much competition. Typical for its type, the pub has friendly staff and fine beers.

Meant to go to a vegan restaurant but it was shut despite its website saying otherwise. Found Brew Dog and wow were they helpful and friendly and did a super job of sorting my fussy 8 year old something to eat. Definitely recommend this pub with grub and the great staff.

Doesn't pretend to be anything else. Hard working staff delivering quality tasting beers a limited selection of pizza and (the 2 times I visited) a decent mix of digestable rock music at a reasonable volume. It's not fine dining or a cozy real ale pub, it's a city bar catering to those bored of the main stream.

Nice place to relax. Drinks prices on par with other brewdog bars. Yes you cant get a pint of fosters for £3 but that's the bloody point. Carlisle needs more places that specialise in what they offer rather than catering to everyone's tastes. Hope you stick around brewdog keep doing you.
