Many beers but many similar. Beer is expensive. Friendly service.

We went in for the buy one burger get another for a £1. Billy was really accommodating making sure we had enough room for the pram, he also was quick and attentive with our food and drink. The food was fab. Will defo be back. Special thanks to Billy!

The security guards at this place think they’re working at a strip club or something. I went in with a date and we kissed for all of about 3 seconds, and the security guy came over to tell us it was his JOB to stop us kissing. It was so ridiculous that even the guys on the tables around us started complaining on our behalf. I’ve lived in Afghanistan and it was less strict than the Brewdog in Upminster.

Lied about New Years Eve drinks offers and music even after promoting these to sell tickets. Left after 30 minutes to go elsewhere as it was not as advertised Update - I understand that the misinformation on the event may also be from the wider brand, but even the screens in the bar were displaying that their were drinks offers and when asking bar staff, no offers were available

Absolutely awful wine ! Wife couldn’t even drink it . Toilets had broken lights so almost in darkness. Not somewhere I’d rush back to ……

Absolutely fantastic selection of beers, you're sure to find one for yourself. Brilliant wings and onion rings in crispy breading. Incredibly pleasant service

Lovely beers and amazing burgers

Not impressed. Had been for a meal & 6 of us entered & asked the security staff if we could go on roof terrace & he said that’s fine we asked if bar was open & he replied yes. Once on roof terrace bar was not open 😡. Back down to second floor to order drinks. Back to roof terrace to sit down. Just started chatting & security came over & said we have 5 mins to leave the roof terrace. 😡. Back down to the main bar. & guess what. Not allowed to stand by the doorway. 3rd visit to this bar & not once have I felt comftable. Defo not giving it any more of my time or money

Just don’t bother - Bad experience - checked child friendly meeting place, was assured it was. Arrived at pre booked table at 6.30 to be told we had to vacate by 8pm due to under U18s. Ordered food, arrived wrong, was then inform we had to leave due to ‘these’ people. When I asked who he was referring to, he was unable to answer. Good luck if you go, we will not return. Despite other lovely servers this guy ruined the experience

Upminster was crying for a bar like this. Wide range of beers and classic modern pub food.

Not often I feel obliged to write a review such as this but felt it necessary to point out. My last visit here was for the wings Wednesday deal. Reservation at 8pm we arrived to the venue 10 mins ahead of schedule and got greeted with a great welcome. Once we ordered our first round we hoped this would be delivered at least within 20 mins of ordering- 1 hour 10 mins later, first round was delivered (Buffalo)- doused with vinegar to the point where it is inedible, leaves a very sour taste around my lips and I want to leave- still get charged £32 for the experience without a second thought of getting a manager or consider a voucher at least to compensate for this. Atmosphere was lively and good location but sadly my compliments end there.

Pheonominal taproom, if not off the beaten track for me! Super friendly bar staff, nice range or beers AND they have a roof top!

It's nice, but not my type of place, the beer for me just isn't what I like Staff were lovely though and very attentive, food was nice. Smart looking place and the roof bar was avery nice surprise. And as only down the road outside a bus stop so need to drive. Hats of to Karen and her team for doing a remarkable good job

the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by warm lighting and urban design.The bar boasts an impressive selection of craft beers specially IPA.The menu features a variety of shareable bites, making it a perfect spot for a casual night out or after work drink with friends.

It was quiet when we visited yesterday lunchtime. As it was my first visit to this new pub/diner the waitress gave me some samples of the craft beer on offer. The beer was good and the burgers were amazing. I imagine that if we visited in the evening when it was busier the atmosphere would be 5 stars. UPDATE October 2024. When we revisited this afternoon the pub was much busier and there was a good atmosphere. Once again the burgers were amazing.

Great place to come with friends and eat and drink. We came for wings Wednesday and had a right laugh. Quick service, friendly staff.

Brewdog is a really great addition to upminster, a nice bar with a good atmosphere, very relaxed and welcoming. Staff are really friendly, service is fast and prices are fairly standard London sort of prices. Whilst Brewdog beers aren't my go-to the lost lager is not bad at all. I haven't personally eaten the food but friends of mine have and think it's pretty good especially for bar food.

Meeting friends for dinner in Sorrentos we arrived early so looking for a pub to have a drink we tried here. Unfortunately it’s not our type of place, we go for cozy, homely, local pubs usually, this is one large area. Full of music, children, loud noise and bouncers. Tried the roof terrace, here the smokers congregated, so back downstairs, and found a table until the restaurant opposite opened. A very friendly and helpful lady did try to make us comfortable but definitely a place for the young.

Really nice pub, the girls behind the bar Jaz and Catlin were super friendly and helped us choose our drinks and didn't make us feel like we were a bothering them, I couldn't fault anything. The quiz was also the highlight of the night, unfortunately I didn't the get the name of the guy running the quiz but he did a really good job and again he was super friendly. What a great place

would just like to say i was at brewdog 21/09 and lily was absolutely amazing, she was by far the hardest working person on shift, running around the whole night! she was so good!!

Really lovely evening until one of the really tall bouncers was getting unnecessarily aggressive towards the younger folks outside…… totally totally unnecessary as the youngsters were not causing any issue but the bouncer was trying to make an issue. The other bouncers were fine….. would I go back based on that bouncer - then no.

Lovely place, and drinks good until the bouncer started. Totally unnecessary behaviour on his part, thinking he can shove anyone around. There was no issues outside, the only issue being caused by the tall bouncer and he should be ashamed of himself. Would I go back to Brewdog in Upminster based on this experience, then NO…!

Range of beer is good. Staff are nice though some have no idea on product knowledge. They do let far too many chavy Essex folk in though

Lovely food No idea why there is a baby greeting people at the door??? I have children and love them dearly but, really?? I don’t think the door of this type of establishment is the place for a small baby, it seemed the parents were working a shift at the time or was just doing some sort of KIT days to keep there toe in?? It seems rather odd that an establishment of this nature has a doorman and staff that are always under strain whilst trying to man a bar floor and look after a child, bath bottle and bed is my motto, but each to their own

Large highstreet pub/brewer. That has three story bar areas. Great vibe/atmosphere when visited on a Saturday evening. The staff are spot on, friendly, and welcoming. Actively prompt that you 'try before you buy' their vast range of beers, ales and stouts. Some unusual quirky beers that will tantalise your taste buds. Recommended to visit and enjoy a new tasting experience 😉👍

I'm 56, and I love my beers but not my cup of tea. Packed and beers not as good as I was looking forward too.

Beer is always good with a wide selection. Food is standard burger fare with vegan options. Bar is child and dog friendly with a mixture of high tables, standard seat and easy chairs. Having been open for a while they are starting to put on bands and comedy nights. Good place to have a beer, something to eat and a chat. I'll let you know about the comedy and music when I've had an opportunity to try them

Security guard is a waste of space, unfriendly, unapproachable, IDing 30+ year olds, we walked straight out, it was 7:30pm……Not worth the time

Extremely rude security guard on the door who is very unwelcoming. Would not waste my time or money there.

Had a fun time on the roof terrace today. Lovely venue, friendly service, decent (albeit pricey) craft ale and loved the cauliflower wings. My only gripe would be that my burger was really salty (and I like salty food). I see that other reviewers have said the same - please listen to the feedback! Some shade on the roof terrace would also be welcome - didn't spoil out experience today, but might have been an issue if it had been busy.

Came here for lunch on bank holiday Monday. Billy was really attentive, food was delicious and bonus it’s dog friendly 🐶

So after never been to brewdog before due to to drinking beer Jake was so so helpful going through the menu and tasting and making sure we was informed and happy with everything he was so friendly and patient I’d definitely recommend a visit and the beer garden downstairs and the rooftop areas are amazing for the area

We hired the roof for a 30th birthday party and couldn’t recommend the venue enough! Hannah and team were flexible, accommodating and did everything they could to ensure we had a great event. The food was great, staff were friendly and complimented by the guests on how lovely they were and overall we had a great experience. The weather was constantly changing however the team did everything they could to accommodate us right up to the last second. Would definitely recommend!

Let’s start with a positive. Let’s face it the reason you would go to BrewDog…the beer-Fantastic. Wing Wednesday is a fail, a gimmick and a waste of money. I’m a wing LOVER. These wings are dry as hell and bland. The sauces/ rubs are salty (maybe to get you to drink more beer) and not great to taste. Shame really because it could be great but point blank isn’t. Won’t be returning for food

Unlimited wings. They’re slow to come out so this can’t be utilised and also the dishes are extremely overpowering. This buffalo sauce has no flavour and just leaves unpleasant heat and the dragon spice ones are so salty it was awful. The sides were great and staff were friendly

It is a great place to meet friends, have a bite to eat, and a few beers. Food, drink and atmosphere were great. Had a fantastic waited. You can't ask for more.

Always guaranteed a nice pint from here and the choice of beers is brilliant. Food is consistently good. I do have a couple of gripes though and they are as follows. If you dont book you cant get the special deals so if you walk in on "wings wednesday" and havent booked you cant have it. What this also means is people book tables on the off chance they may go and then dont turn up. Ive spent a. fair amount of time in brewdog with friends and we see empty booked tables all the time. Which leads to my other point which I'm not always happy about. My friends and I will sometimes get into Brewdog 2pm and will still be there at 10pm. Its frustrating when we are sat at a table after several beers chatting to have a piece of cardboard slipped onto our table telling us 3 or 4 hours into our social gathering and a few £100 spent that we have to vacate our table because while we were sitting there its been reserved for 6pm. Then being told we'll have to move its frustrating and an annoyance. having said the gripes though I love the beer, food and atmosphere and the staff are great.

Vibe was absolutely off the staff looked scared or worried about something. Orders were wrong and we ended up leaving early as we felt extremely uncomfortable, probably one of the worst date nights I've had in my life. Not the company, the staff. food was ok, extremely bloating bread rolls a tad stale, Absolutely zero atmosphere and all the staff members were cold as ice. When the bouncers turned up they also happened to be so off. I will absolutely never be going back we spent over 100quid. What a waste of money and time. There were so many more things that I could go into but can't be bothered. Brewdog ? What's going on?

It was okay. I had the Korean bao breakfast sandwich. The bao itself was light and fluffy, but I was a bit underwhelmed with the flavor. I ended up adding hot sauce to raise the flavor profile. Staff were very polite, but they were really confused. We had two or three people all if we had ordered our mains after we had already ordered. I like the atmosphere though. It's a fun brewhouse. I'd come back for happy hour.

Went for wing Wednesday. Unlimited wings £15. So what I discovered after eating and enjoying 8 of the buffalo wings (more spicy then any other buffalo wing I’ve had) I got to ten wings and was probably done. But being greedy I got another ten plain wings as mouth was on fire! The plain ones were tasteless so had loads mayo. After about 7 of them I felt sick and had spoiled the meal by simply being too greedy. My son had the Korean wings, nice flavour and less spice. Would go again to try their burgers as they looked really good. Overall good quality wings.

Really beautiful and well maintained bar. Service and selection was just wonderful and food right at the top of Brewdog bars quality. Any excuse to come here and I’ll take it.

Great service and a nice roof bar for the summer

Wonderful bar, so close to the station and an amazing venue. Beers on tap were a great selection and the staff were warm and lovely!

The most modern-feeling pub in Upminster, with a friendly environment and spacious seating. The rooftop bar was closed when I visited, so I'm not sure what that's like. Seemed very dog-friendly, and had a range of different seating from normal tables to tall tables, plus sofas with coffee tables. Staff were friendly and helpful too, and we're polite and courteous and gave plenty of notice when they needed us to vacate a table for a reservation.

Have visited here a couple of times, a great place for a social drink with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Dog friendly, they also do comedy nights too.

Been here a few times now and I will definitely be coming back. Lily who served us was so helpful & friendly, 5 stars are just for her service alone. Food was really good. It’s a lively busy place and staff are waiting on a lot of tables. Full credit to them, they manage it really well.

Food & atmosphere fab. Service today was sadly very very poor. 50 min wait for 2 cold desserts. Hot food ,starters & mains delivered within 30mins then the long wait .

Beautiful place I can call my local, one downer, I lifted my hand to to get the attention (didn't kicled my fingers) to ask a question about the comedy night they are doing, but one of the staff put me down straight away saying "You never do that to the bar staff!!" Where did I go wrong? I'm never the person to complain but the the way I was treated it was almost personal. I'm sorry and I understand it was busy but come on!!

If you are to do table service, then do it properly. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were told to find a table upstairs. There, once we checked out the menu, we approached the guy at the bar to order. He told us that he would come to our table to take the order. He never did… After around 15mins we decided to leave, and as we were leaving and passing the bar, he then stupidly asked “are you ready to order now?”…

Went with 4 children ages 1 to 7 and 4 adults. They accommodated us well. Nice bar.

Very busy on a Saturday night. Most tables reserved. Pleased with the free Black Heart offer for exchange of a Guinness glass. Nice selection of beers. Overall ok but prefer it in the week when it's quieter. (Went on a Saturday night)

Great atmosphere, great selection of ales and burgers to boot. This place also has the footy on the TV as well.

We went with family and it was very good, the service is perfect, there was a high chair for 2 little ones and there was also a solution for certain wishes. The food was delicious and served quickly despite the crowds. We were very satisfied and hope to come back again.

My favourite member of bar staff is the young Asian guy who works here. I don't know his name but he does a great job for customers at Brewdog Upminster.

We booked for the burger offer online nice place service was not great as we were overcharged never got the offer. We had to provide the email we got from brewdog for the deal which i found strange. 🤨 I won't be returning here. 😒

Great location nr the station. Food Menu - very good burgers. Chicken wings and salads available and a breakfast/brunch menu. Vegan options also. Nice atmosphere, clean - toilets upstairs (I did not see a lift for disabled customers)? We sat in a booth table which was really nice - I would recommend if you have a party of 5-6 people. Would eat here again - service was very good. If you drink ale/beer this is the place to go for sure!

First time in here, service was not good, staff were actually quite rude when demanding one of the only tables that hadn't been booked so they could take it over to make another longer... I won't be returning.

Very warm welcome from the manager, John. He was so helpful working out how best we could use both our son’s 25% student discount for their drinks and also an offer of the buy one burger, get one for £1. Food did take a while to come but was very tasty and enjoyable. We all drink Brewdog so it was lovely to enjoy fresh beers from the pumps rather than the usual cans at home. My son is a regular here and has always had a good experience. Really felt the manager went above and beyond and gave fantastic customer service - rare these days.

Awful rude staff. We enjoyed a couple of wines in here but saw staff being rude towards customers. Even saw them talking back to management and management just let them. This was great in the summer but if management can’t manage their staff there is no way they’ll run a successful business.

So, I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because of the location. But thats where it ends. If ever you want to go to the most boring town full of the most boring people drinking in the most boring pub, to listen to brats bragging and competing as to who has the most and who knows who ... then go to the Brewdog Upminster . The guffawing " first time out in years" stay at home mums drown out the bear bellied white collar buffoons who still think corduroys are trendy sip two pints and go on to act like silly school boys on their first alcohol outing since leaving school . The food was tasteless and similar to that from Iceland ( not the country) was luke warm at best . Beers were nice good selection . Very cold atmosphere . Needs a new owner and manager , better Brewdogs about . This was my honest findings of this Pub/eatery .

A bit if a crèche on Christmas Eve

Staff was fantastic and very welcoming food was amazing and such a wide range of drinks.

Once again tried but this establishment just can’t get it right. Ordered food that didn’t come. Went to the wrong table. Not the first time. When complaining then confronted by your door staff. I don’t need this confrontation. I would prefer your staff or manager to resolve refunding. I live in upminster and have been to yours 10 times. . Plus. Why is your set up so bad. 4.2 rating is not a true representation of your pub. It’s dire. You have changed managers and staff how many times? I don’t expect a reply as this email will be another reflections of this pub. It used to be a bank and I can tell you now it was more exciting then than now. To anyone reading this post do your self a favour go elsewhere it’s the worst brew dog I have been in. The Co founders must be reading these posts and thinking what’s going wrong. To start change your door staff and welcome people. Secondly get a manager who can manage. It’s all in the word hospitality. What a joke.

A succulent Jackpot burger, beef patty, chorizo, black pudding, blue cheese and BBQ sauce, for lunch, enjoyed with a pint of black heart stout. Service was friendly and efficient. Will be revisiting.tout
