Amazing food and service highly recommend

Another great day at the Wheatlea Park with friends and family. This time a birthday for my wife. Grandkids love the.play area..The food was good and the service was excellent..great atmosphere as usual.

We visit Wheatlea Park at Marus Bridge regularly, and it has consistently proven to be the best choice in the area for delicious food, great drinks, and a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, Wheatlea Park ticks every box. The restaurant is always impeccably clean, and the warm air-conditioned environment ensures a pleasant experience every time. The quality of both food and service is top-notch, and the value is second to none. There's a children's play area where the little ones can play happily and safely. Visited here today family of 4 we all cleared our plates. Burgers were moist and cooked perfect and my son gave the smothered chicken a 10. Be back again soon.

Never in my life have I ever experienced anything like Christmas dinner there why pre book our orders if it’s a CAvety dearest carvery in my life would never have booked if we had know that. Everyone eating different times as Que was so big un organised having to ask for table to be cleaned pudding cold again all arriving different times as they forgot 13 of us the only ones there on 2 separate tables shocking service shocking food

Enjoyed the food not as much choice as last year but was a great night back again Christmas eve waited 15 mins for starters 1 hour 30 just got are mains other people come in after us and got there food before we did

Now here's a ace to visit large csr park great food large selection and a play area for kids too kids menu and loads of seating it's part of a hotel complex so I recommend it

We are regulars, recently they’ve changed the menus and removed quite a few things. For me the worst part is you NOW pay £7 for parking on top of your food which is beyond a joke

Arrived just as the carvery started. A young lad carved the meat. He was soon taken over by someone who knew what they was doing. The meat was very thin and you received a very small amount. The one that replaced him gave others a proper portion. The food tasted nice , was just a shame about the meat you got

Id often rate this place 5 star, however today we came out for a meal, and the food was delicious, it was brought out relatively quickly. However the coke out of the refil machine was flat, after making the issue known they informed me they would change it, and after a while i asked and was informed it had been changed, but it was still flat. I was informed no one else complained about it (however my dad also had a refil coke and said the same, but wouldn't complain) but he would check, and was asked to try the diet rather than pepsi max but it was still flat. So i had no drink before my meal, no drink during my meal, and was only offered a bottle in replacement of my refil drink, but by which point i was already leaving. So unfortunately it was a let down, i spent most of my time stood up attempting to aort out a drink.

The food was ok I had the mixed grill didn't eat much of it the egg was snotty the steak was to well done the gammon was a bit to fatty the chicken was ok the sausages was lovely

Soo yesterday me and my partner called in as we were starving at around 8pm , my partner asked the server if they were still doing food which he replied yes but my partner said the server rolled his eyes . We ordered two stack burgers , and a drink each , the food arrived quick but when l look at the food l really wasn’t impressed . I washed the female server for some condiments The female server brought our knives and forkes along with the condiments but basically plonked them on table didn’t bother to say “ enjoy your food . I almost felt like taking the food back because it just wasn’t how it read on the menu , the chips weren’t fresh , they were dryed and overcooked. When you’re paying money for food you want it to be nice it’s a treat . Due to the poor service especially off the young female server with blonde hair and glasses who gave off the impression she clearly didn’t want to be there . We definitely won’t be coming back , we will be eating else where , we’re the food is up to standard , and looks how it’s described on the menu and the chips are not dry or overcooked . Should always be quality served food , I’d rather have been told we’re not serving food than to serve out food that doesn’t look good .

Este es un restaurante muy popular con deliciosa comida y un bar muy bien surtido que sirve cócteles tentadores y todas mis cervezas frescas favoritas. El personal aquí es muy amable y muy servicial, nada es demasiado problema. El asiento ha sido reformado por lo que es un lugar muy cómodo para reunirse con amigos y familiares. Las fiestas también son muy populares y puedes traer tu propio pastel y velas para una agradable sorpresa. Un área de juegos para niños mantendrá felices a sus pequeños. Gran relación calidad-precio, personal amable y un menú increíble. No puedo superarlo.

Bueno, 27 de nosotros fuimos a nuestra comida anual de Navidad que realmente disfrutamos que el día que fue establecido encantador para nosotros y la comida era muy agradable y estaba caliente se sentó en nuestra mesa la mayor parte del día el personal era excepcional gracias que volveremos

Nice pub seemed well maintained with indoor play area for kids. We got the 2 meals for £11 something lunch / early dinner offer. 2 bottomless sodas came to £18 for myself and wife. To be honest you'd pay that for 2 meals at macdonalds and this was far better in both quality and quantity. Service was great too

Food ok chicken was dry which is unusual & service not great but it was busy & two meals came wrong, but reasonably priced.

Extremely enjoyable meal with the family.

Went for the weekday value meal lunch menu - two mains for £11. A good, well cooked plate of fish, chips and peas. Can't be beaten for value!

Really helpful and pleasant staff. Food was lovely and hot, portion. Sizes great. All in all a great family place to eat, value foe money.

Elección sin gluten muy pobre. El personal nos dijo que teníamos que salir a las 9. 12 cuando estaban cerrando. No iré de nuevo.

Cheap and cheerful and has vegan options. Will go again.

I take my grandchildren on Sunday we absolutely love it. Staff are brilliant food is delicious can't wait to go again

Easily accessable quick meal out with the family that doesnt cost the earth for people of all walks and disabilities. Everything is on the one floor and is wheelchair accessible. Decent quality food, good selection of beverages, pleasant staff multiple options of choice from the carvery to mixed grills or chicken tikka masala and whatever inbetween. Average selection of puddings to choose from. The caramel apple betty is rather delicious, served with custard or ice cream. There is an indoor kids play area to keep the little ones entertained with climbing frame and maybe slides im not sure. There is a good sized car park to the front and a hotel attached if your passing by looking to stay over after a bite to eat or just a wind down from a long drive or work reasons I imagine on a busy day if your not having a carvery that is out with chefs stood serving those with the meal ticket you may find yourself in a wait. All in all a nice place that the kods will enjoy and also your bank card. Random comment; I Saw David Coulthard and a few of his team in here last week which i thought was pretty cool so random people do just drop in.

A first time visit to the Wigan branch (family Sunday carvery) and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service provided by the staff. Thank you for creating a great first impression. The crackling from the gammon was beautiful!

Good food at reasonable price and friendly staff

Dirty table , dirty doors ,dirty walls ! Skin on fries were just frozen chips , peas were like bullets , strawberry sweet had 1 strawberry quartered , medium steak comes well done ! Last visit for me. Staff are trying there best but food and cleanliness let them down 🤷‍♀️

Can only buy all can eat breakfast so cant order something small or pay for feeshly cooked breakfast only buffett.

Enjoyed an absolutely fantastic evening celebrating a birthday here. Nothing was too much trouble and were very accommodating of all our parties needs. Lucy and her team are an absolute stellar credit to the Brewers Fayre brand. Whether it be the front of house team Wayne, Deb, Chloe and Grace who made us feel really welcome, special and were a pleasure to interact with all in high spirits and with good humour, or the evenings kitchen staff Poppy, Megan and Joe who provided us with mouth watering meals and delicious desserts, you all set yourselves apart from other establishments with your dedication and attention. You all deserve every bit of praise, I and my family were incredibly impressed and grateful to you all. It's the second birthday meal enjoyed here and none of us would hesitate to enjoy further occasions here. If you are looking to visit for the same purpose as us or just seeking refuge when weary from driving along the M6, I'd highly recommended Wheatlea Park.

Our first time at this brewers fayre pub and we were pleasantly surprised how good it was! Also staff were helpful and efficient! Meal was hot and the pub was clean!

Very nice fresh carvery, staff very friendly & attentive.

Sunday carvery was good although soft play is extra cost per child, which is a bit much considering there are other Whitbread affiliated restaurants which don’t charge for soft play areas.

We enjoy coming to eat here, the soft play helps tire the kids out before the meal. We are a large party and always get a round table which makes chatting much easier. The food is actually good for the price, we have been 5 times this year and not had a single issue. The staff are friendly and helpful, last time we went the staff were closing up the carvery and let us help ourselves to the veg and Yorkshire's. We do recommend it

Fantastic family meal out. We had the gammon and the smothered chicken whilst the kids went in the play area. The staff were efficient, friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. Thank you in particular to the young lady who looked after the kids in the play area.

Very busy but provided what we required. And was able to provide gluten free toast.

I enjoyed a meal there on my way home from a day out it was value for money.

All you can eat breakfast is value for money. Large airy room. Gets busy later in the morning.

I booked a table for my sister in laws birthday today. She shares her birthday with my brother who we lost last year - he would have been 40 today and it’s his first birthday without him with us I explained the situation to the manager when I popped in to book the table and asked could they maybe put a card on the table and look after my sister in law to help take the edge of the day for her and to make it still a special day for her When she arrived your absolutely fabulous staff had reserved her table and placed balloons, a card, a little bottle of wine and some chocolates on the table for her! It was absolutely fantastic to see her smile like that today - thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for such a lovely gesture it is appreciated more than you could know Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts , the food and the service were perfect too. Thank you so much

Went to meet up with some friends for breakfast. There were 11 of us and we hadn't booked. They were packed out as it was fathers day. But they made a huge effort and fitted us in. outstanding service thank you.🏍️

The Wheatley is a smashing venue, lovely food, great service and the staff from the Manager to the cleaners are so friendly and polite. They all go out of their way to make your visit the best it can be. Don't hesitate to visit you'll be pleasantly surprised by this gem 👍👍

We had my sons 6th birthday there today on the play area and the children had food. The experience was amazing from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble, staff was amazing with all the children. Thank you so much for making it a fantastic experience for our little boys birthday 🥰

I can't really leave a true review as we went in, saw the menu and prices and then left. Loads of parking though, clean, no carvery, only on Sunday's. Wheelchair friendly. Loos are on ground level.

Been visiting here for over 20yrs, previously Taybarns then before that was Brewers Fayre. Recently the food hasn't been of a good standard. Today - 7/4/24, paid full price for haddock, chips and mushy peas. I was served with dried-up peas and barely lukewarm chips, Had to send it back twice. The young staff waiting on tables didn't seem to be bothered about the quality or the look of the food. Basically, if food doesn't look appetising then don't serve it! I spoke with the manager who was apologetic and said he would speak to the kitchen staff - I hope he did otherwise longstanding customers will cease to revisit.

Went on Easter Sunday couldn't fault the food . Booked table for 12 o'clock was really quiet at this time.

Been a few times for the Sunday Carvery, the food was fantastic, the staff all very attentive and welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Been through the week with grandchildren who love the food and play area.

Not the best service, some staff quite rude. Lots of confusion when ordering and when the meals arrived things were wrong, then we were told we had to pay extra for something that was missing off one of the meals, but the missing item was included in the price of the meal anyway so why did we have to pay extra? Lots of confusion again with staff members that clearly aren’t knowledgeable on the menu or prices. The food overall wasn’t the best but ok. Kids enjoy the play area, probably the best the thing going for it really.

Our food was great. Service was friendly but as it was very busy we had a little wait for a table.

Called at the Brewers Fair at Wheatlea for breakfast on Sunday 3rd March 24. I have to say the service and food was first class. It did get rather busy at one point, but the staff were brilliant and so helpful. Would definitley recomend. 👏👏

Massive thank you to everyone on shift tonight. Cannot fault the service and the food. Was let down by our venue a week beforehand and you were so helpful and accommodating to fit a large booking in last minute. Again great service and lovely staff.

Really poor service, eggs had hair in, builders sat swearing on large table, spoke with waitress very rude.

Went for breakfast, was OK for price but experience ruined by a very rude lady, who claimed to be deputy manager. shouting at my son to get out of play area, good job his mum or nan wasn't around! 2nd time this has happened, won't be a 3rd time as we won't be coming back. If you don't like children don't work in a restaurant that has an adjacent kids play area!!!

What a horrible place to visit! Rude ignorant staff, made my 5yr old cry by literally demanding we leave the play area, asked on entry if we could use and told yes only for an elderly female staff member claiming to be the acting manager to "throw us out" manners cost nothing, avoid this place many better places to visit that are actually family friendly.

Food and service here is great! But it is a multipurpose pub with both a Hotel and a Kids play area l, so it can get a little noisy. Not a deal breaker, well worth a stop. The fish was huge, steak was lovely!

We went to Wheatlea for Christmas Dinner. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. We were served bucks fizz on arrival and given a Christmas card from the team. There were Christmas activity packs for the kids. The staff couldn't do enough for you. We had a great stress free Christmas day x

Had a carvery but it was luke warm, this has happened a few times and thinking this time it will be OK. Disappointed even the gravy was only warm.

Good all you can eat breakfast. We didn't experience the staff as had no need to. Play area included in food cost too.
