We walked into west bay bank holiday Monday we live locally so easy enough walk for a few drinks something to eat support the local buisnesss. Anyway attended the pub for a couple of ciders waited at the bar for some time which is fine although pub not busy at all and lots of staff milling about started to be served she then walked off and another gentleman stepped in young fella with curly hair popped the first pint in front of me undefiled so I asked of he would obviously fill up my pint of cider after all that is what I am paying for and his answer was it makes it easy to carry if its not full what!!! I replied its OK ill sup it before I walk with it. Wow talk about saving cider. Anyone falling for that load of cobblers anyway never to say the least we drank our full pints and left to go elsewhere. Thing is it was nearly 14 quid for 2 pints of cider so certainly wasn't the cheapest for exact same cider in a nicer place with better staff.

Congratulations on the record amount I've ever paid for 2 pints of lager in a pub,£12.40, no wonder we were the only people in there, surely repeat business is what the pub trade is all about, well good luck with that at those prices, pure greed.

Saturday May 27th. Was hoping the new owners had improved the pub but it was empty and disappointing. £6.70 for a pint of Guinness, shocking! Bar member blamed it on Palmers brewery, not sure if that’s true as two other Palmers pubs close by charged me £6 and £5.60. Just had a pint in Bath, Somerset for £4.60! How can you justify this price Bridport Arms?

£26.90 for 2 pints of San Miguel, 1 white wine, 1 small OJ and a packet of crisps. This portly maintained pub is more expensive than the West End, clearly cashing in in tourists.

This review only comments on the palmers beer (copper) which was very disappointing and cost £5.50 a pint. We don't mind spending that sort of money on decent beer, and do know what a well kept pint of copper should taste like (eg. Burton Bradstock, The 3 horseshoes) - although many other Palmers pubs we've visited seem to struggle to keep their beer in good condition. Such a shame.

We have been to the Bridport Arms Hotel a few times before as it has always been excellent. We were very disappointed today, however. The place looks ramshackled from the outside and didn’t even have the name of the place on the building despite a banner saying it has a new look. Inside little has changed but it did not have the warm welcoming atmosphere we have experienced previously. The last time we went was a few years ago and the menu had restaurant quality dishes and a Specials Board. This time, if you like fish and chips or a burger then you are in the right place as there is little else on the menu. It is also vastly overpriced - £17.50 for a burger and chips, £19 for fish and chips, neither of which was particularly wonderful. Booking during holiday times was always advisable, which we did in advance of our holiday, but the place only had a handful of diners - perhaps a reflection of its new look and menu…. We certainly won’t be going back.

We went there with friends and our well behaved dog that was always on his lead as we were lead to believe it was a dog friendly pub. We sat in the corner and let our dog have his toy to keep him entertained and although it was a squeaky toy it wasn't overly loud in a busy pub. A local complained as it was upsetting their dog even though they were the other side of the pub and it wasn't bothering anyone else in a fairly loud atmosphere. As he was obviously a regular the bar staff asked as to stop our dog playing with his toy saying its not a dogs play ground . I'm sure this conversation wouldn't of happened if it wasn't the batman's friend absolutely disgusting behaviour won't be going back any time soon

I Had a family evening with cocktails to start, unfortunately they had not a clue how to serve or make these,by a friendly young girl, the food was the worst i have had for a long time, and although i told the elderly lady she seemed to listen but shrug it off with no effect, totally overpriced for what we had ,very small meals, missing the main ingredient FOOD.I hope they can improve and get a barman in to make the cocktails, they need to be shaken, not just pored!!

👍 Excellent range of vegan cakes, Lovely rustic charm with wooden furniture, Helpful and friendly staff 👎 service can be very slow at times 🥇Their Foccacia is out of this world 👎 👎 Coffee serving portions are shockingly tiny - I wouldn’t be surprised if the takeaway coffee cup weighs more than the drink inside it!
