It must have been the chef’s night off! How anyone can cook chicken so that it is brown and hard and still serve it is beyond me! I actually like Hunter’s Chicken but never been able to sole my shoe with it. My friend complained and asked that the kitchen staff be informed but despite this and not actually eaten any of her chicken was not offered a refund or even a discount!

Typical Greene King pub with the usual generic lagers and beers. But there was a selection of hand pulls. Large floor area to the lounge, walk round to the bar. Comfortable seating.

Good pub to arrange to meet friends. Good food available. Big screen tv's to show football matches

We called in for a meal on Sunday at 7:30. It was still serving food whilst other pubs in the area were not. Food was good.Service was friendly and helpful.

Staff are all super friendly and welcoming. The best pub in the area. Good priced drinks and food with really good deals for students. The Bromfield is aways a place for me to come to if I'm feeling on my own and wanting some company. A definite reccomend.

Attitude of staff was appalling with a couldn’t care less attitude. Food and drinks expensive for what you get. Ordered from the kids menu but later looking at the bill was charged for all individual items.

The food was good, however a lot of items out of stock. Staff also very very slow to clear tables leaving the place a mess, it was only a Tuesday night. Sort it out and this place would be brilliant

Food is top quality, well cooked staff lovely and put very clean. 2 mains for 14.99 Lunch club sandwich chips and a drink 8.49 Good quality Blue light discount can't be used with any other offer but the 2 mains were a big saving

Great service, serves a great Guinness and food is good especially the chicken strips. Dog friendly with water bowls and treats available. Loads of sport shown on numerous screens and a pull down projector too. There's also a selection of board games to play. Quiz nights on Mondays, karaoke last Friday of each month and live music on occasional Saturday nights from 9pm.

Great to watch the football, the vegan Katsu curry is nice. Would be good to have another option though for the 2 mains offer mid week.

Fantastic sports venue! Loads of TVs and incredibly accommodating staff! The bar staff kept one TV on for me with sky sports news on so I could follow other games. Its great to have a venue that accommodate fans of every club!

Popped in for lunch and wish we hadn't bothered. Ordered the following: 1 x crispy chicken strips which were advertised as 'tossed in Texan bbq sauce, with crispy onions & a herb garnish'. 1 x crispy chicken strips advertised as 'tossed in East Coast IPA Hot sauce, topped with garlic & rosemary mayo, crumbled blue cheese & herb garnish. What we actually received were 8 fried chicken strips with a pot of bbq dipping sauce. Mains ordered were: 1 x Fish & chips 1 x Bacon & blue burger with melted blue cheese, smoked bacon, crispy onions & red onion chutney. Also served with rosemary salted skin on fries. The fish turned up as an over fried lump of burnt batter with minimal fish. The burger arrived with soggy bacon and wilted lettuce and no rosemary sea salt fries. The pub was really quiet so no excuses there. Our meal with 1 beer and 1 coke was £47 and was appalling, this was the worst food we have had for a long long time. Shockingly bad !!!

We visit at least twice a month. (Hoole shops are famous.) We always enjoy a shared platter, but the menu is extensive. A great range of drinks, including our favorite cocktail. Friendly attentive service.

Was at the karaoke on Friday and had a great night! Lewis and Nathan were fantastic but wish it was open a bit later place was so busy everyone had a good vibe singing and last order was called at 12am and we find out it has a license till 1am local drinkers were discusted in this as they drink here all together all time after finishing shift at 10am if you have a late license use it and be happy your venue is busy please can this be addressed by the area manager and hopefully Saturday 2nd July they realise they should look after there regular and stay open till 1am and the late night bar has closed so this venue will be busy all time

Me & the wife had a fantastic juicy burger & skinny fries tonight . Loaded with sea salt . Onion rings were cooked just right. Pale ale was also great on draft. Everyone was very welcoming. Great service. Overall brilliant night . Would thoroughly recommend. Fantastic lounge area. Bar area very laid back . (Small smoke/vape area to rear of pub.) All round great pub.

Always a good selection of well kept real ales, friendly service, reasonably priced, and stays open later than the other pubs which comes in handy. A willingness to stock stout/porter is always appreciated and the sign of a good pub. *have increased to 5 stars.

Friendly bar staff & a nice atmosphere in the pub. We ordered some nacho’s to share, they were ok, spicy & good to share with drinks , plus some chips, chips were a bit on the stingy side, £2.99 & less than a handful a whole bag at the supermarket would be less ! Nice place though & obviously popular

The staff are very welcoming too all people, 1 member of the bar team went above and beyond to make me welcome as I’ve just moved to area so the 5 star is for nathan on this occasion. I have now been here multiple occasions now and what most people would call a regular over the last few weeks I have met all members of staff and not a single member of staff has faulted! All I can say is thank you too the staff and keep doing the great work you all are doing, Rob

Food was so good I forgot I was at a greeneking, everything cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and great atmosphere. Very cheap for the experience and will be returning.

Was not a bad establishment really good for sport live matches on the big screen food was good too I'd book a table at weekend just to make sure as it gets busy in that area also a big up 👍 to my mate the barman whose a Blackpool fan he made me Laugh 😅

Ordered food here, paid £2.79 for a side of chips to go with the 3 small plates for £13 and literally got less than a handful. Also ordered cheesy garlic bread which arrived around 10 minutes after everything else. We were told that this was because the chef burnt ours to a crisp!!! Complained about the amount of chips and was told '"I'll bring you a few more" with no hesitation ... clearly we're not the first to have complained about this and I'm sure we won't be the last!

Приятно был удивлен тем, что паб светлый, а не мрачный, как часто бывает. Особое внимание привлекли фотографии старого Честера.... И красивые девушки в одном из залов ;) В пабе ещё бывают по вечерам концерты и викторины. Но всё же главный козырь заведения, повторюсь, роскошный выбор Эля, способный полностью удовлетворить даже придирчивого посетителя. Ваш #Сократ_по_Греции

We visited at 6pm on Wednesday with our 2 year old in his buggy, attracted by the decent children’s menu. Before we’d even had chance to look at the draughts on offer the bartender barked ‘he’s not allowed on there’, referring to the fruit machine,...

We called in on Sunday after booking. On arrival the guy behind the bar said he had only just clocked in and didn’t know anything about bookings and to just find a table. We ordered a small Sunday lunch which was Luke warm at best...

Had a really nice meal there the only thing was the pie the pastry was abit hard and the veg was slightly to hard. I would go back as the meal was very tasty

Corner pub,great choice of beer ,wines ,spirits ,soft drinks tea and coffee.Nice meals with excellent sports television ,local shops offering food and various other services,Betting shops. Easy parking and access.

Returning to hoole for our anniversary, we just had to revisit this lovely pub. So welcoming with freshly cooked meals and good choice of wine

Decent pub, beer was a bit pricey, but being Greene King did expect it,, friendly bar keeper, nicely decorated, food smelt great,, Be back again next time in the area.

Visited for lunch while my car was being fixed at nearby garage PTS Motors. Very welcoming, good food scampi and chips and hunters chicken and real ale. Will definitely revisit.
