The staff gave our full football team a free 3 course meal and donated to our fundraiser with a voucher the staff and food was amazing cannot thank them enough for such a lovely evening staff go above and beyond nothing is too much hassle! we always choose here for breakfast as it’s also the best breakfast in the whole area and great value and kids eat free

Came with a large group and had amazing service! The staff is for sure the highlight of this place. Great cocktails, and food options.

Had a really lovely meal here! We were a large group (14 people) but the food still came out so quickly and the staff were so welcoming and attentive (thank you Helen and Jack!)Will definitely be going back, something for everyone on the menu!

Just had the worst meal ever.To begin no inch’s cider.ordered rump steak and a sirloin steak,No74 rub as it had never been stocked .medium.both came very rare.No tomato or mushroom on plate.complained to manager.she said to have food and drink free and disappeared.

Worst breakfast ever. Not buffet type but cooked to order. Very slow service.

Went for Sunday dinner today.. everything was frozen, meat was stone cold, parsnip was raw. The waitress had to come back twice to confirm our order (basic dinners with 3 drinks). We overheard our waitress ask someone else how they would like their chicken breast cooked. Can’t believe they get custom for there Sunday dinners they are awful. Avoid.

Nice place lovely staff nice atmosphere

It's good, atmosphere is just right, but some of the food can be kind of bordering to be bad. The whole place just gives off 40 year old single drunken dad vibes, cool place tho, and cool workers, kinda would recommend

Used to like this place really gone downhill. Service very slow every time. They always ask if you want fries or triple cooked chips ... The last twice we've been there they didn't bring what was asked for. I always add a fried egg or two when I have a steak, they might as well be boiled the last twice the yolks were that hard. It's a convenient location for us and the food is ok so when we need to go somewhere unplanned we will probably try again but wouldn't plan to visit deliberately anymore...Shame as it used to be very nice.

Food is as to be expected in a Beefeater. Nothing special just passable.

I went in for a coffee while waiting for my car to get repaired. It was a horrible, rainy day. The staff on shift were just finishing off after breakfast. They were pleasant & welcoming. Thankyou very much.

Was not impressed. Steak was grisly Drafty table No choice of dip for mushrooms. Ice cream rubbish bring back fudge sauce and paprika chicken!

Came for a meal 25th sept 24 and Absolutely fantastic food and we're served by Courtney and Michelle Absolutely 1st class customer service couldn't have asked for more. They are a credit to your company. Will definitely return soon infact booked for tomorrow and boxing day. We have only rebooted due to the service we received from the staff.

One of the worst meals we’ve ever had! The waiter greeted us in the most unwelcoming manner, no smile, no hello; threw down the menus on the table and then abruptly told us no chicken was available if we chose from the Sunday menu and walked off. The guests on the table beside us looked shocked at how we were treated. We almost walked out at that point without ordering a thing. We should have trusted our instincts and left when we had the chance. We ordered some ribs and steak. Big mistake! The ribs were dry, lacked flavour and a small pot of sad looking bbq sauce accompanied the dried up ribs. The steak sadly lacked flavour too! I make a better steak at home. Straws for the drinks were pitiful! They didn’t even touch the bottom of the glass. Halfway through the meal we decided enough was enough and we asked for the bill before we had even finished our meal. It’s fair to say we won’t ever be returning due to the utterly disappointing meal and experience. Some customer service training is much needed in this venue. Enter at your own risk!!

The team here are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming when we went in for breakfast and really went out of their way to help me after travelling home and leaving some lost property behind. We also had a really nice breakfast that was freshly cooked to order and all you can eat! Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Breakfast both days was really good food great and John and Gemma were great interactive with my 1 1/2 year old, helped my wife out when she was on her own. Generally a service with a smile

Been loads of times as a work lunch, menu changes several times over the last couple of years. Service always good for what it is. Food has varied but usual good for the price.

Great food, very good deal! Evening set: 2 courses (starter and main or main and dessert) plus a drink for only £17.99. I took Cheesy Potato Dippers as a starter, the chips were really good. I took Baconeater Burger for main, also really good, the french fries that came with it were ok. My friend took Caramel Apple Betty for dessert, it didn’t look good, but I tried and it was tasty. The place looks nice, has a nice garden, but unfortunately it was too cold for us (Yugoslavs) to sit outside. Will try it next time, hopefully.

Nice clean pub. Decent menu choice. Not great in terms of service and knowledge of what was in stock etc. To cut a long story short I ended up having to make a different meal choice after being told one option was unavailable, only to then find out that my original choice was in fact available. No effort made by any staff to try to rectify this for me. Alternative choice in food that I made was a little underwhelming.

Went in for a family meal ( 2 adults 1 child ), my wife's order arrived wrong, my daughter's order turned up with missing items, also my order turned up with items missing. Food was just warm, they failed to rectify my wife's order ( not a happy wife ). Not worth the effort to come no wonder it's quite!!!

Went here for our teas last Friday. The food and drinks were fabulous, especially the sirloin steak. The quality of the sirloin steak was the best I've had and cooked to perfection. We were served by Craig who was very friendly and down to earth and made us all feel very comfortable. We will certainly return for food and drinks.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Shown straight to a table. Our server was Andrew, he was fantastic, lovely and friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Our food was really nice, plenty of vegan friendly dishes. Dessert was especially good and reasonably priced too.

Staff are outstandingly courteous and can’t do enough to make me feel at home whilst I’m working away for 2 weeks. Big thank you there’s a lot of restaurants that can learn something from you. 😊

Use to quite like it, but it has gone down hill lately, maybe because they are trying to sell it. There are not many staff and both my wife and I have found them rude. My wife order a vegan chicken cob salad and her friends ordered the normal chicken cob salad. When it arrived my wife questioned which one was vegan, the woman pointed at one and said " that one as it is smaller" My wife questioned again just to find out it was NOT vegan, lucky she did not eat it, all cob salads delivered to the table had real chicken on them. It was an upsetting experience and my wife and her friends will not be back.

I chose three courses which were well priced, potato dippers, beef beef burger and bacon. To finish three good scoops of ice cream. While the other had Salmon fillet with chips.

Only been a couple of times but the breakfast here is banging. One of my top breakfasts here.

This is our go to place for road trip breakfasts kids love it, food is spot on and staff couldn't be nicer. Five stars.

10/10 experience. Stayed in the Premier Inn next door and went for unlimited breakfast and lunch. The food was perfect and all the staff went above and beyond (honourable mention to Courtney and Andrew for making the experience so much better). If you’re passing by the Durham area or staying in the premier inn hotel next door to it I can’t recommend this enough! Will definitely be going in the future!

Had the bacon eater burger which was very tasty. Lovely chilled relaxed setting. Waiter Adam was very good, nothing seemed a problem .

Brilliant staff and delicious food

Been for breakfast with the Easter bunny this morning with my 2 year old. Absolutely amazing morning. The food was lovely and the staff went above and beyond for it. My little girl absolutely loved it and it was great value for money. Looking forward to the next event.

Just came home from a fantastic celebration meal for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. We have been wonderfully looked after, from booking the table of our choice, to excellent prompt service and even a bottle of Prosecco. It really made my parents feel special on their anniversary. Thank you all so much.

Had family meal here other night and got to say it was very nice. Whole family had sirloin steaks and it was the best steak I've had for a long time. Juicy and very tasty. And even better we had a voucher for 30% off main meals. Update .. went for lunch today and very poor. The chips were rock hard and inedible, steak came out and the orders were wrong. Rump was medium rare swimming in blood when asked for well done and sirloin was very well done when asked for medium, so well done as inedible. Mrs ate hers but my cremated steak went back and then had to wait 20mins for another one to come out. In the end we cancelled our desserts and left disappointed. Not so keen to go back again after that to be honest.....shame.

Vist on Saturday 16th March, evening meal with the wife. Large burger for myself and a rare steak for the Mr's. Fabulous food and atmosphere in the pub, and a wind down for the two of us. Service by a lad called Andrew T. He made the evening, so pleasant and amenable, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend, and return to the Broomside Park Beefeater.

It was cold......the food was mediocre at best. I overpaid as I got the kids a meal deal but as the service was shocking I paid and left before they got their deserts!

I had eaten here last summer and the food was really good, tasty and good sized and quality portions. However I returned recently and the food was appalling. I had the steak and ale pie, the pie was the size you would feed a 3 year old, about 5 poor quality frozen oven chips and 18 peas.. Absolute joke!

Couldn't fault food, atmosphere and service. Andy the gentleman who served us went above and beyond for us. No issue was to small or big. Allergies weren't an issue either and we're well accommodating in regards to this. Food was delicious and atmosphere relaxed, friendly and good for families or on your own. We'll defiantly be back soon.

Mega expensive for what you get

The breakfasts are brilliant. Choose what you want including cereal, toast, fruit etc

Food was great. We asked for a quiet corner. But everyone had been cramed into a small area as they did not want to use the rest of the restaurant. Thus mean we we sat in the middle with some loud people around us. This made me feel very uncomfortable and we did not enjoy it as much as we could have. Shame

There were 13 of us and we called on spec for lunch. The staff were very accommodating and nothing was a bother. Very good. I would recommend it to others.

We popped in after visiting the area from York to buy a car. It was quiet but the staff were welcoming and friendly. Both waiting staff ensured we had no food allergies. Food and drinks arrived promptly and all came piping hot. Would definitely call in again when in the area. Ideally located off the A1 if you wanted to break up a journey further North.

Nice pub, had the steak sandwich for lunch with apple pie and ice cream. Delish!!

Not very good food ordered chicken melt. Chicken just say cooked. Awful coleslaw got to be the cheapest bought. Salad was as disappointing lettuce leaf with a cherry tomatoes cut in half.only thing the guys serving were great thumbs up to them. But we had pre bookedit2 weeks previous on line but there was nothing on there system just pleased it w as not busy

We went for Christmas Dinner, Kids starter was a small single slice of garlic bread and other was 2 cocktail sausage pigs in blankets. The order was wrong for the main had to reassure them with an email for the order, then desert was wrong again proved with an email. Paying the bill at the end i paid for someone else's bill only notice when i checked the receipt. I was given a partial refund for the difference i paid, but poor service.

Update on my original review after going for food today. Ordered fish and chips. The fish was dripping oil, but the chips were really dry. Ordered drinks and got my Daughter a half of cola which came with no straw. Wasn't told it was actually a bottom less drink until I got the bill. Customer service was very awkward and considering the place was empty we felt rushed. Can't say we'll be back anytime soon

Great Staff, we had the Christmas turkey roast. It was modified to allow for my diabetes. Joanne looked after us really well.

Arrived 11.50 decided to have festive lunch 3 course Starter fine came before finished with main Turkey meal roast potatoes soggy and not browned veg got peas one parsnip few carrots was not nice service very poor no fresh knife and had to ask for spoon fork for main meal had to ask

Absolutely amazing staff the staff went above and beyond very friendly and very child friendly, the food was perfect nothing wrong with any of it between us we has a mix grill, smothered chicken, combo of chicken chicken wing and Ribs and omg there was plenty, little one had a kids meal a 3 course kids meal and all I can say is great menu for the price. Not a single fault. Had an amazing night. And it was all 5 star. And iv eaten in plenty of beefeaters and this was by far my favourite.
