Browns Bar & Brasserie in Sheffield

My daughter had her wedding reception at Browns and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We all had a wonderful afternoon and the food was out of this world. I would like to say a big thank you to Sam ( A BRILLIANT YOUNG WOMAN ) who helped us and made sure our Daughter and her Husband enjoyed their day, also to the chefs and assistants in the kitchen for the wonderful food that was really exquisite. If anybody has a special day to celebrate they couldn't go far wrong going to Browns, you will definitely have a wonderful time.

My family and I came here for a birthday meal and were treated to a lovely dinner, the whole experience was great and would highly recommend. The service from Amelia was excellent and we will come again soon

We went to Browns for lunch on Christmas day. First time we've ever been out for lunch on Christmas day so we were a bit wary about how it would be. Not only were we not disappointed, it far exceeded expectations. Excellent food and service, the food was tasty and hot with plenty of vegetables. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was great. Special thanks to our waiter Jack who was brilliant! We may be back next Christmas!

This was our first time at Browns and won’t be our last!😃 This restaurant was elegant and cosy, loved the piano playing which created a chilled vibe. Staff are excellent especially our server Jack, nothing was too much trouble! Food is so good and so are the drinks, my only issue would be the £15 service charge added, f which I feel should not be added to the bill, but overall a great experience!🤩

Amelia was fantastic. As a bottomless brunch expert she managed our table well. We were a bit rowdy and she worked with me as the lead booking to manage the table. We apologise for the noise but we had a fab time ❤️ Thanks Amelia x

We went for Sunday lunch, the menu had all sorts as well as a roast. It was a pleasant atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was great.

Nice vibe. But very poor value for money. Burger and chips for £18.50 was very disappointing: small burger, chips in a cup that only serves to mask the small portion. Servers were school leavers age - not trained: expected us to hand them dirty plates as they stood in one place...really?

10/10 service from Kaitlyn. We had the most delicious 3 courses for Sunday lunch which was made even better by the staff. Friendly, welcoming & chatty. Also a nice birthday treat from Ellie with the happy birthday surprise plate. Will definitely be going back there on our next visit to Sheffield 😊

Myself and my husband were joined by 11 friends to celebrate his birthday at Browns on Saturday night. On arrival, we were shown to our table on the upper level. The food was delicious and well presented. We had pre ordered, and the meals were brought out by name so there was no issue of anyone forgetting what they had ordered. We were served by Amelia who was very friendly and professional and we discovered that she worked beyond the end of her shift by continuing to give us excellent, attentive service. I had brought a cake, which Amelia brought out when I asked, with the addition of lit candles which I thought was a nice touch and this then prompted a chorus of 'happy birthday'. We enjoyed a very nice meal, in great surroundings with above and beyond service, and would not hesitate to return to Browns.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch, ordered from the main menu, as both just wanted a main meal. My friend ordered the prawn linguine and I ordered the cod with wild garlic and asparagus. Both meals were delicious can highly recommend. We were both on our lunch our and Amealia our server was friendly and efficient with our orders.

We went for lunch to celebrate my graduation today. The food was incredible and the staff were so helpful. Our server, Amealia, was so lovely to chat to and made the experience even better!

Visited here for a meal after a graduation ceremony. It is pricey but the service is above the standard of the other chain restaurants. Very polite staff, with time to talk to you. Food was lovely. The portions I would say are average sized. We didn't have starters but we had a main and dessert from the a la carte and all were lovely.

We had a great brunch at Browns. Such a lovely atmosphere and warm welcome. Nordas who was our waiter was brilliant and very attentive!

We visited as a table of 12 and had a lovely time. Our server was Amaelia who was absolutely amazing! Very friendly, funny and helpful. The food was nice and reasonably priced and the cocktail selection is good too. But I will say the staff are the ones who made our experience truly memorable. Thank you Amaelia and George!

Sorry to say ,took son and wife, up from Lincoln , for a 'special' breakfast ,steak and eggs and 1 breakfast and it was tepid at best , couldn't finish it because by then it was cold ,for £85 i expected better , not for the first time but definitely the last

Came to browns today with my bestie - had some beautiful cocktails and world class service from Kris and Maggie. The drinks were made by Finley and were delicious! Ask for the brown’s old fashioned. They were all lovely and welcoming - 100% would come again.

We had lunch at Browns on Saturday whilst visiting our son at uni. The service we had was warm and attentive without being in your face. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We look forward to visiting again next time we’re in Sheffield.

This place was dire. It was too noisy; the open plan layout meant that the over loud music from the bar polluted the restaurant below, meaning we had to shout at each other to hold a conversation. Hardly a convivial atmosphere for a pleasant meal...
