The food was great the service was amazing the food came very quickly we were served by Jasneet she was very helpful and gave great customer service.

The restaurant was really cold. It's no good having a screen showing a roaring fire with no heating. I asked if I could sit somewhere warmer but was told there wasn't anywhere. We sat in our coats to eat. When my daughter arrived to join me nobody came to ask her if she wanted a drink.we had to call someone to order. The waitress asked if we wanted all our food together. We said no we wanted the starters (calamari) first but she bought everything together anyway but only one portion of calamari instead of the two we ordered. My duck was cold and I had to send it back. When it returned it wasn't much warmer. I ate it because we had to get to the theatre. My daughter's hot and sour soup tasted like a packet soup. We asked for the bill three times before it came. Considering there were no more than a dozen diners the service was poor. My daughter refused to pay the service charge.

Great tasting food, but forcing a 10% service charge is disgusting. Pay your staff and maybe they'd serve better.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and created such a warm atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. What stood out the most was how friendly and patient the staff were especially Sandra and Jaspreet, who went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. They were so accommodating with our little ones, even when there was a bit of a mess around the table. A special mention to the team for arranging a beautifully plated anniversary surprise dessert for my friend’s wife, it was a thoughtful touch that made the celebration even more special. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, perfect for family outings or special occasions. Excellent customer service, delicious food, and a great vibe highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience at Busaba! The chili beef rice bowl was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A big shoutout to Hritick, our waiter, who was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. His mindful service truly made the visit memorable. Really enjoyed our visit. The vegan options are delicious and plenty to eat for those avoiding gluten. It was nice that there was a special spot set up for our grandson with colouring pencils to keep him occupied.

My experience at Busaba was decent, I've been here a few times. The service has been great every time, all the staff are extremely nice. I liked the atmosphere, especially being by the river. There was nothing I disliked to a great extent. The food was good but for the price I expected it to be better.

Came here for my friend's birthday. Staff were amazingly helpful and gave a complimentary fondant with a candle in it. Atmosphere was relaxed but decor leans towards a high end feel. The food was also very good. Decent range of vegetarian options and even vegan options (100% recommend the 'soyamari' starter). Would definitely come again!

Went for our work Christmas meal last night. We were set up in the outdoor Igloo, which was beautifully decorated with Christmas bits n bobs, crackers etc. Nice and warm inside very snug! The food was fantastic (Black pepper beef for me which was really good)! The service was amazing too with the wonderful Sarah really looking after us. Great place, food and staff. Really recommend it :-)

Went to this restaurant this afternoon with a work colleague. I have been many many times before. The food this time was so delicious it was freshly cooked and seasoned with flavour. It was the best meal I have ever had at any busbai including the one in Westfield West london. Compliments to chef please keep it up! The Roti was lovely and flakey, the salmon beautiful. Thank you for a nice lunch will be back very soon!

We were first drawn to Busaba Kingston because of it's location with outdoor seating overlooking the river. The menu displayed outside appealed to us too. We found the welcome and ensuing service to be both warm & friendly. Attentive but unobtrusive. The food itself was excellent. A sharing platter for two was a little overpriced but delicious. The main courses ( Pad Thai Chicken and Crispy Duck Noodle) were excellent as was the shared Pandan Pancakes. Being that it was my wife's birthday we were delightfully surprised when the staff arrived with a chocolate fondant dessert on a plate decorated beautifully in chocolate wishing her a happy birthday. Such a nice gesture and one that was very much appreciated although the singing ( including mine )of "happy birthday" might benefit from some voice training. All in all a lovely dining experience and one that we hope to repeat at some juncture.

Been going to busaba for 10 years and it’s always amazing. Flavours are 100/100 every time. Best dish is pepper calamari hands down. This particular branch is in a lovely setting by the river.

Loved the Thai Green (veggie) curry + coconut rice, the perfect blend of sweetness in coconut rice with lil spicy Thai green curry was a great combo, alongside Pineapple mocktail 🤤 My family had some prawn crackers, chicken satay and calamari, it was delicious! Ended a beautiful meal with strawberry fresh cream for dessert…IT WAS TOO GOOD 😋 Thank you Busaba!

Stopped for a meal with my wife on a Thursday evening. Restaurant was nicely done out inside and the staff attentive at first, very on it with my wife’s allergies. They were a bit obsessed with telling us the kitchen shuts at 9.30 when it was not even close to that time (9pm). The food arrived and despite my wife asking for her Thai Curry to be very mild it was very hot (spicy) so much so she could not eat it. My beef curry was very hot as well. Both our curries had minimum meat in, I counted 4 pieces of beef in mine, my wife’s Thai Green chicken curry had about the same. Tiny portions, for the money (£17.30 for my beef curry and £16 for my wife’s Thai Green curry we expected more. Nobody did a check back to ask how our meal was, even when we were paying the bill. Very disappointing.

We just have been in the restaurant and we have had great time from the arrival until the end everything was absolutely perfect. We have been looked after the waiter and the servant they explained everything from the menu that we asked for and the whole team was smiley and nice. We will definitely go back again and will definitely recommend the place to friends too.

I have been here before many times but the service has gone down with time. I ordered a beer and the beer was not cold enough. When I reported to them, they did not offer to change it rather I was told that it’s too busy and freeze is not being able to cool it fast! Manger was specially not very helpful!

Very pleasant evening spent dining with a friend on the riverside. Special mention for the staff, from the manager down, who helped set a nice atmosphere. Food was mostly good (one item was not as should be but was promptly removed from the bill). Will return.

Title: Disappointing Experience, Inconsistent Service Review: I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 3 years and have always enjoyed their food. However, todays visit was extremely disappointing, and it has left me questioning whether I will dine here again. The quality of the food was subpar, and when I brought this to the attention of the branch manager, her response was unprofessional. She dismissed my concerns by saying that the food was up to their standards and implied that I simply preferred overcooked dishes. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the branch manager displayed rudeness from the start when we were selecting our seats. We had a baby stroller with us, and instead of assisting us kindly, she barked orders and spoke to us in a condescending manner. This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that in the past, I had a similar issue with undercooked food, but it was handled with exceptional care by a previous waitress. She was understanding and promptly replaced the dish with a well-cooked alternative. Unfortunately, this level of service was not maintained across the board. I sincerely hope that the top management of this restaurant reads this review and takes it seriously. They need to address the inconsistency in food quality and train their staff, particularly the branch manager, in providing professional and courteous service. As a long-time customer, it pains me to see the decline in the overall experience. I hope that necessary improvements are made so that others can enjoy the same positive dining experience I once had.

Came in for lunch today. The service and food were excellent!! Unfortunately, there were some rowdy customers who sat near me that was making the server’s life miserable, but thats not the establishment’s fault.

It Was a lovely experience and meals were great, Amazing customer service from everyone but outstanding help and customer service from Sandra one of the mangers!!! My partner became unwell and she was an amazing support and help from beginning to end!!!! Felt very safe and supported till we managed the situation! My friend and I were served by Jasneet who provided an incredibly welcoming and friendly service. She’s kindly helped us out with everything we needed promptly and without any hassle as well as giving delicious recommendations when we were ordering. She was an absolute pleasure and made our time at Busaba particularly enjoyable.

Very disappointed. The most unauthentic Thai restaurant we have ever eaten at. We were told 'starters' and 'mains' would all be 'dumped' on us all at the same time. In reality the 'mains' came 10mins before the 'starters'. We had the mixed platter for 'starter'. There was no 'satay' sauce with the chicken satay and the chicken was certainly not breast chicken as both my wife and I had lumps of gristle in ours. The green chicken curry was bland and lacked spice and certainly not what we would expect from a green curry. The other tables around us all got their 'starters' and 'mains' as separate servings and when we complained we were told the reason why was because they all had food allergies. The waitress told us however we could have had them separate if we'd asked (which we did.) A Tesco meal in a box tastes better.

Have visited the restaurant with some friends on the 20th of June. Place vibes is nice but service is terrible. Food was really bad, soup came with terrible chicken after taste. I ordered black pepper beef egg noodles and it came burned and when i asked for replacement the waiter said this is how it is cooked and even replacement will come the same although it was obviously burned with burned smell.Waiter was really rude and wasn’t helpful at all.Avoid by any means and waiter needs to be reported.

Worst food! One plate was burnt, and when we asked to change it they claimed that this is how It is. We also ordered chicken green curry and it felt like 10 days old

Tamarind duck - very nice, small portion , one piece of broccoli cut into multiple Som tam - very nice Soup - chicken, coconut, corn. - soup base, nice and good flavour . Chicken tastes day old and baby corn was grey through the flesh. When we notified the staff it had gone bad, they tried to tell me it was from the wok. Half chicken - Seasoning and flavour of sticky sauce was nice, however quality of chicken wasn’t very good fatty and lots of gristle and cartilage, and tasted old and was dry. Almost reheated taste. Plus more meat on a supermarket breast than the half chicken in this dish. Service was very very slow - 10 mins to get a menu after sitting down Another 10-15 mins to take order another 30 mins for food to arrive and we only had one dish each and the restaurant was only half full. Restrooms were very dirty - took my son to the loo and both toilets were, shall we say marked very badly. It’s a shame, but there are far superior Thai restaurants in Kingston and Hampton.
