Good service, nice breakfast to start the day

Although the cafe has a relatively high score and is full of customers, the coffee and the halal breakfast that I served were not great...

Not in the mood for the queue nearby... This was fantastic. 'Nuff said. Fantastic, inexpensive, quick, attentive, great selection. Would love to come again, coffee black and oily - in a good way!

Café 338 is pure magic! It's the best spot on Bethnal Green—and I would know. As someone who always has breakfast out, I've tried every café on the street. I pay close attention to everything: the food, the staff, and the overall vibe. Café 338 is head and shoulders above all the rest. Why am I so confident? Well, remember that I've visited and tested all the cafés in the street… but what's even more important, I've had more than 300 (yes, more than three hundred) breakfasts at Café 338 in the past year (yes, I really go there daily). The staff is super welcoming, the food is delicious, and the prices are perfect. Will I be back? Of course—for my 301st visit!

It’s very good place for relax your mind with cup of coffee

Happened by Cafe 388 today after a walk in the local area. Promptly seated, with excellent customer service. Food was very enjoyable, good quality for a traditional breakfast and a very competitive price. Coffee was also of a decent standard. Establishment was clean and tidy and kept to a high standard despite the high footfall.

accidentally discovered the place, amazing

This is a real find. So good that we've returned to it several times when we've been in London. We turned up yesterday and although they were busy, the staff couldn't have been nicer (even helping us in with our luggage!) The food was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. This is just how a small business should be run... congratulations!

A very humble cafe in east London next to the big famous one, however I do prefer cafe 338. One of the best breakfasts in London, perfect for a hangover treat or a brunch with friends!

I don’t know who’s rating this place highly, clearly not eaten a decent breakfast before. £12.5 for the worst breakfast ever. Catering sausage and bacon, cheap brand beams, deep fried mushrooms, over cooked egg, flwvourless tomato. Stay away if you want start your day with a good breakfast.

We came here because of the positive reviews and can only confirm it - great English breakfast like something out of a picture book, very tasty, great service and fair price - we'll be happy to come back!!

Landed there by chance, as we were in a venue nearby and just wanted lunch. We weren't disappointed. Amazing food, good and simple choice. It has a sweet charm of an old tavern and holiday cafe mixed in one which added to an atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Two female staff were rude from the beginning. Didn’t see a smile in sight and had shocking manners when barely communicating with us. We had to ask to take our orders or anything when they were happy to attend to other customers and made us feel unwelcomed. Didn’t tell us card machine wasn’t working expecting us to ask for everything to know. Very poor service

Great brunch. Value for money. On the other hand, the neighborhood is not crazy, a lot of hustle and bustle.

We were looking for some place to try traditional English breakfast and we chose this place mainly due to good reviews and friendly prices. We were not disappointed, food was great, staff was friendly and great as well and the food was magnificent. We had full English breakfast, the portion was big, we barely ate it, and it was very delicious. It was worthed travelling across half of the London. Greeting from Czechia!

Was planning on going to the popular cafe next door but the line was over 2 hours and so we decided to to give this place a go as the food looked good and it was busy but no queue. Very happy that we did as it was a lovely breakfast. The full English had everything you could want and was fresh. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was lovely too. Amazing bubble and squeak. Don’t bother waiting in the queue for next door. Come here!

The pancake menu is a truly fantastic deal. Got so much more than I'd bargained for, at just £12 — highly recommended cafe.

The biggest menu, great quality, so reasonably priced and no queue on the Saturday we went (unlike similarly rated places down the road). Highly recommend if you’re in the Bethnal Green area for brunch! We had the veg pancakes breakkie, build your own breakkie, portion of toast (a must!) two flat whites and a banana milkshake and was £27 total!

I’m finally back after a few years to one of my favourite fry ups in London. Delicious breakfast options, my go-to place for a classic full English. But they also have many other options, including vegetarian options and pancakes. Coffee is ok. Staff is nice and polite, service is good and efficient. Definitely recommended for a good classic English breakfast! Also very good value for money.

Queue at the ever popular Pellicci’s next door was too long so we went to this ‘innit’ Cafe (which I had frequented before-5 years back-and it was decent enough). But it seems they're ride of popularity is over. The food was lazily prepped (fried eggs hard-sausage tasteless-machine chips). From the inside it looked like a teenage joint and a place for undemanding, confused tourists (pancakes + fry-up on same, rectangular plate). Cannot fathom how the reviews are decent but then most of the audience here are X Factor types. Definitely find somewhere else next time. Disappointing!

This used to be our go to breakfast place when we lived locally. We haven been for several years and decided to come back to see how it’s going. Very pleased to say it’s as good as ever. The decor is a bit smarter but it’s still the same fantastic food and fast friendly service. A hidden gem.

Amazing cafe, very nice food my friend and I enjoyed the early morning breakfast, the freshly squeezed orange juice was so good, and staff where a mix of some attentive, polite and other very busy could be better prepared at prioritising customers in order of customers needs, was happy because my colleagues omelette had meat he didn’t want and was pleased to see the staff was happy to change his plate, apart from that very good food and beverage amazingly delicious and healthy the waiter man friendly and enthusiastic and engaging, offered us a nice table outside.

They pre-milked my tea without giving me the option, very odd. But the breakfast was excellent

I had Mega Breakfast which was excellent, wife had vege omelette with chips which was also very good. Staff were really nice and friendly. One improvement would be to offer a pot of tea rather than just a mug, as I do love tea with a fry-up

really cute place with such lovely staff. the prices online are a few quid cheaper than on the menu in the cafe so maybe i would suggest updating the prices online!! but other than that a super cute place to have something small :))))))

Really nice breakfast, the staff were very friendly and attentive and I’d definitely go again. This place is a Caf + better then a greasy fry up caf and not trying to be a fancy cafe. It’s a great in between and that’s exactly what I wanted.

Really liked this cafe, we went for brunch and it was very reasonably priced with nice staff. Cafe was a little bit crowded but nice decor and big windows so overall a lovely spot. Good coffee too with oat and soya milk available.
