Nice cafe cheap and welcome visit had five breakfasts most ok but the catering sausages are the worst in the universe tasteless mush revolting surely a modest price increase and we could have butchers sausages needs to improve.

Good car park at Angling Direct. This is a cafe and a good one and good value for money. Very good staff and prompt service. I had bacon sandwich and coffee and very good it was too, proper bacon not watery stuff you sometimes get. There is a toilet large and clean. Will be back.

We had the Small English Breakfast and to be honest, I doubt we could have finished the "Large" option. The food was well cooked, in generous portions and served quickly by friendly staff. Also competitively priced. We'll be back soon!!

I live locally and often call by this cafe when I can’t be bothered to cook. The food is fantastic, and the price can’t be beaten. My son loves it when we stop by there, as do his friends. I cannot recommend highly enough

A visit to Dronfield wouldn't have been complete without a breakfast at this lovely café. Since I was there last year, further improvements have been made to the décor and it's now a very cozy spot for either a snack or a cracking breakfast. My breakfast was delicious and accompanied by a nice large cup of very tasty coffee. As it's now open on Sundays as well, I couldn't recommend highly enough that you go for a full Sunday morning breakfast. You won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10 all round. Thank you very much and I shall see you on my next visit in December. :-)

This little cafe is now under new management and it is 100% better. It is spotlessly clean and now looks inviting. The staff were friendly. We had the small full English breakfast which was spot on and somewhat larger than we expected. The teas were red hot and served in lovely clean mugs , unchipped, and from a female point of view that is good. I would definitely go there again, although they were mainly blokes in there as it's next to the fishing tackle shop and several work places.

Had to visit Dronfield so needed somewhere for a quick meal. Found this lovely little café which I was told is under new ownership and greatly improved. Lots of choice on the menu but I went for a full English breakfast. Absolutely delicious, well cooked, good size portion and good value for money. The new owner plans to make some exciting changes and I wish him well. I shall certainly be visiting again next time I am in the area. Thank you very much for a fabulous breakfast. See you again soon.

I had a few hours to kill while my car was being repaired so popped in for a cuppa and a read of my book. The cafe was clean and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Had two cups of tea and a toasted tea cake although the other food looked really tempting too. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

I love cafes but I won't be going back to this one. It has none of the characteristics of a cafe that I like. It would suit many people I think, like regulars, but not strangers. I recommend that you go to the Toby pub/restaurant down the road, it's cheaper, warmer and friendlier. Sorry but that's how I feel.

Fabulous place. Ladies that work here, remember the regulars and know what they have. They go out of their way to make our 1-year is daughter welcome. We visit once every couple of weeks, whether we're calling at the tackle shop or not. Fantastic value! Nowhere better!!

Very expensive, 3 toast for £1.80, shockingly thin toast at that. Never will I go back. I regularly go to a cafe in Sheffield city centre where their toast is thick ,beautiful and half the price of this cafe.

Me and the Dad inlaw use Climax tackle quite regularly.. So it goes without saying that we HAVE to have a big breakfast whenever we visit next door! Food, service and atmosphere are always 100% and the girls always remember what you have. Cheap, cheerful and the the best breakfast ever! Definitely worth a 40 mile round trip. :-)

The menu includes bacon sandwich, bacon & egg sandwich, sausage and egg sandwich, bacon sausage and egg sandwich...so you know what to expect. When I'm in the mood for some fried food, Climax does a good job, prices are fine and the staff are friendly. They are open from breakfast time to 2.30 pm six days a week (closed Sunday). In case you are wondering - the name comes from a defunct night-club that used to be next door.

Stayed in “the view “ for 2 nights, used it as a base the drive Snake and Winnats pass. Had a Bakewell tart in Bakewell and did Christmas at Chatsworth. Eat at the White Horse both nights. Couldn’t fault the pub or the rooms. The weather made it. Superb

We visited on November 1st, 2024, and sadly, it was quite a disappointment. While the bar staff did their best, the kitchen service was very underwhelming. By 6:30 PM, they had already run out of the special main menu on the board! The food took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was subpar. The steak & ale pie was more air than a hot air balloon and hardly had any meat. The crust was burnt and tasted like a heated-up frozen pie. The chips were clearly shop-bought oven chips. This was not the level of service we had experienced before. We left feeling quite disappointed. It seems the place is being sold, and I hope the new owners can bring back some quality!

Saw the signs for the Peacock on our way to Linacre Reservoir and we decided to stop off for a bite to eat. We were shown to our table by a lovely waitress and were made to feel welcome with our newborn baby boy. We ordered a sandwich each - Mrs had the fishfinger one and I had the Beef one. Both were very tasty and the chips were very good.
